My husband and I recently went to this Greek restaurant because we were in the mood for something special. Upon entering, we were greeted warmly and shown to our table. The atmosphere is pleasant, cozy, and yet typically Greek – you immediately feel welcome. We opted for two Acropolis plates and a portion of tzatziki. As soon as it was served, we were struck by the generous portions and the appetizing presentation. The plate was richly loaded: various meats, fresh side dishes, and a crisp salad. Everything was excellently prepared – the meat was tender, well-seasoned, and juicy. We particularly liked the fact that nothing was "over-seasoned," but rather well-balanced in flavor. The tzatziki was homemade, creamy, and refreshing – just as it should be at a Greek restaurant. The service was very attentive throughout the evening. Our drinks were brought promptly, special requests were fulfilled without any problems, and we never felt like we had to wait long. At the end, we received a glass of ouzo on the house, which rounded off the evening beautifully. All in all, we had a wonderful evening. My husband and I agree: This restaurant is highly recommended for anyone who appreciates Greek cuisine. We will definitely return – not only for the delicious food, but also for the pleasant atmosphere and warm hospitality.

We ate at Santorini Dötlingen with the whole family yesterday and were absolutely thrilled. Upon entering, we received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our table. The atmosphere is cozy, typically Greek, and you immediately feel welcome. The food was excellent: the portions were generous, the meat grilled to perfection, and the side dishes were fresh and varied. We especially recommend the gyro and the lamb chops – simply delicious! The Greek salad was also crisp and very tasty. The service was attentive without being intrusive. Drinks were brought promptly, and special requests were easily accommodated. We as a family felt very comfortable and will definitely return. The value for money is absolutely spot on. If you're looking for good Greek cuisine, this is the place to go!

We were regular customers of Johannes's, and what the new owner is now offering is abysmally bad. We were there again yesterday and were disappointed, as always. We've been trying the menu since April 1, 2025, and it's simply not enjoyable.

I wish I hadn't given it a star. The food was an absolute disaster. It was cold and sometimes even outdated. The service was unfriendly and disrespectful. Furthermore, the entire place was dirty, from the floor to the tables, so no one wanted to eat. Even the cutlery was dirty. This is unacceptable, absolutely not recommended!

The pizza was very well topped. The crust could have been a bit crispier. A nice family business where everyone was happy to help each other. At the end, they offered me a Turkish sweet specialty, which I had to decline due to diabetes.

Because the restaurant of our hotel "dötlinger hof" was strangely closed, we ended up at Santorini. And that was a good thing! The restaurant is run by a very nice family. And the food is very tasty. Price / quality makes every guest happy. Worth a recommendation!

Everything that has been written about negative reviews is simply due to the beginning of the business. Taking over a restaurant that was previously run by someone for 25 years is not easy. Unfortunately we have to agree with the negative reviews. We went there for the first time yesterday to eat. It was all a bit chaotic, too many employees who had the same plans and thus caused a bit of chaos, but they were quite friendly. The food, on the other hand, left a lot to be desired, there was very little on the plate for a large gyro plate and unfortunately the food was only lukewarm. It tasted as if the leftovers that were left over at lunch had been briefly put in the microwave and warmed up We found it outrageous that if you don't want the gyros with rice as it says on the menu, but with fries, you will be charged an extra €1 and that too without being pointed out beforehand. There are side dishes included and I have never in my life experienced that you have to pay extra for the replacement unless it is a high-priced side dish like hash browns or something similar. The fries were then far too dark, hard and completely salty. Definitely no reaction whatsoever, neither to the fact that the food was lukewarm, nor to the fact that the fries were suffocating in salt and too hard, nor to the question of why you had to pay extra to replace a side dish. The waitress was overwhelmed and just said: Sorry, I don't know. Normally we shouldn't or shouldn't have accepted that, but we just wanted to get away. So definitely not worth recommending from us.Sorry

A small family-run restaurant, the owners and the service staff (daughters, son-in-law) are extremely friendly and strive to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The food is super tasty, the portions are sufficient and the prices are moderate. We'd love to come back! Annotation: We cannot understand the negative reviews! If you want a 5 star restaurant, you should go to a 5 star restaurant and then pay for it. Setting the bar so high for a “snack bar” is unfair, snobby and arrogant!

Dreckige Toiletten, Karten haben muffig gerochen, habe mich geekelt und hätte gleich wieder gehen sollen, keine Getränkeauswahl, coronabedingt nicht verfügbar, ausser Haus Bestellung läuft wohl gut, leider von uns keine Empfehlung ! Wir gehen seit vielen Jahren bei Johannes essen. Am Anfang hieß es Dorfgrill, dann Santorini. Wir fahren manchmal extra aus Bremen dorthin. Das Essen und die Atmosphäre .....einfach Klasse. Nettes kleines Restaurant. Nicht sehr chic eingerichtet, aber wir gehen gerne hin, wenn wir Sonntags nicht kochen wollen. Das Personal ist immer super freundlich und das Essen ist OK zu einem fairen Preis.

Nach langer Zeit waren wir mal wieder im Santorini und waren enttäuscht. Das Essen war lecker, allerdings die Pommes viel zu kross und dadurch sehr trocken. Der Service war höflich, wenn mal jemand an den Tisch gekommen ist. Im ganzen waren wir über zwei Stunden dort und haben alleine eine Stunde aufs Essen warten müssen. Der Service wirkte überfordert. Vielleicht haben wir ja nur einen schlechten Tag erwischt?!

Sehr familiär, tolles Essen, welches man vor Ort oder zum Mitnehmen bestellen kann. Wenn man Hunger hat, ist es zu 100% eine richtige Entscheidung.

Wir sind aus Bremen extra hier her gefahren, weil auf der Internetseite steht, dass das Restaurant Feiertags (heute) ab 12 Uhr geöffnet hat. Vor Ort ist ein Zettel in die Tür geklebt, dass ab 17 Uhr erst geöffnet wird. Sehr ärgerlich. Wir sind dann weiter mit der Fahrradgruppe weiter nach Wildeshausen, da haben die Restaurants wenigstens gemäß deren Homepage geöffnet.

Also wir waren schon Öfters da. Immer wieder gern. Macht weiter so. Man kann es nun mal nicht jeden Recht machen.

Haben heute das erste Mal dort bestellt um Mal zu testen. Service war ok, essen war in 20min fertig zum abholen. Mein Gyrosauflauf war eher ein Brokkoliauflauf, da war von Gyros nicht viel zu sehen, Portion für 11€ auch eher klein. Gyrosteller war groß genug , das Fleisch aber eher trocken ... Also alles zusammen war ok, aber gibt wesentlich besseres.

Die Mitarbeiter beachten einen kaum und die Einrichtung ist dermaßen veraltet, dass es nicht mal charme hat. Das Essen war sehr fade und das Bier hat mehr nach Wasser als nach Bier geschmeckt.

Sehr gutes Essen zu guten Preisen und das in unserem kleinen Ort. Nette Bedienung mit immer einem Lächeln im Gesicht. Da esse ich gerne.....

Wenn ich eine Akropolis Platte für 2 bestelle, dann sollte sie auch so abgerechne werden. Statt dessen wurden 2 Akropolis Teller abgerechnet werden. Das macht lt. Karte ja auch einen Preisunterschied von 3,40 Euro. Wenn dann noch behauptet wird, wir hätten nach Nr.bestellt, dann stimmt das einfach nicht. Souvlaki war einfach nur trocken. Da hilft auch der gratis Ouzo nicht.

Waren soeben zum ersten Mal dort zum Essen. Naja. Service war sehr schleppend. Das Essen leider nur lauwarm. Aber lecker. Preise auch top. Die Salatbeigabe hat einen Mitleidsbonus verdient. Wäre der Service flotter gewesen, hätten wir auch noch gerne einige Getränke mehr bestellt. Aber jeder hat eine zweite Chance verdient. Mal sehen wie die Sterne dann stehen.

Ambiente ist etwas kalt. Service ist unschlagbar freundlich und zugewandt. Im Gegensatz zu den Fleischgerichten sind die Nudelgerichte leider zu klein. Preis ist okay

Unangenehmes, asoziales Ambiente (Plastik-Planen auf den Tischen; dreckiger Fließen-Fußboden, usw.), lange Wartezeiten, schlechtes, aber immerhin günstiges Fertigessen. Ach ja, es wurde in der Karten-Nummer auch gerne mal um fünf Plätze verrutscht! Nicht zu empfehlen! Möchte nochmal fragen, wieso die Bewertungen so gut sind? Es gibt so viele viel bessere Restaurants; anscheinend haben die Leute jeglichen Anspruch verloren. Ich meine, die Bedienung ist sehr nett und der Preis ist jetzt auf keinen Fall unverschämt -- aber alleine diese Plastik-Folien und kahl weiße Fließen sowie das Essen sind nicht sehr einladend.
