I'm absolutely thrilled... I hadn't expected such incredibly fresh, high-quality cuisine. The warm and welcoming nature of the staff was also fantastic!

The service was really friendly and the food we ordered was delivered really quickly. It was delicious and reasonably priced.

Just drive 200 kilometers and you'll find the best pizzeria ever... Okay, a little more seriously: I've rarely had such good pizza and such great pasta. Everything is freshly prepared and delicious. The red wine is also excellent. If it weren't so far away, I'd say I'll be back here next week. Highly recommended!

Fast and friendly service. Despite the large number of guests and the announcement that it would take a little longer due to a larger group, the food arrived in 15 minutes. We stopped here on our trip to Celle, because our previous favorite Italian restaurant, San Marino, was closed today. The average rating here was even slightly better. Since we were there for lunch, we were given a free salad to start with. It was much too stringy for me, with very little dressing, but overall acceptable. The pasta dish was OK, and the portion size was fair. The pizza, on the other hand, should be called a piccolini. At over 60, I've never had a smaller pizza in any restaurant. The fact that it was actually quite tasty makes it even more annoying. I don't know why the waiter was so grumpy. But at least I saved a €2 or €3 tip. There won't be a next time...

Spaghetti with chanterelle mushrooms and bacon was on offer. My request for "without bacon and with other pasta" was met with a "I wonder if that tastes good" and a friendly smile. Overall, very friendly and uncomplicated, just as we love about Italian cuisine.

The staff was very nice. The tortellini in cream sauce and the baked tortellini weren't good. They were made of cheap ingredients and had a bland flavor. Despite being hungry, I didn't even finish my meal. The beer wasn't well chilled.

For lunch, there's an extra salad and delicious bread. The selection of dishes was excellent and truly extensive. Super tasty, and the atmosphere is simply wonderful. I'd be happy to go back.

Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The antipasti platter was poorly presented. The pizzas were tiny. The base was not airy. The Diavolo wasn't spicy when requested, but instead chili oil was placed on the table. The dough wasn't up to Italian standards. The chain with L'O makes better pizzas. I don't understand the good reviews. The female servers were friendly. The man, presumably the owner, was loud and unfriendly. The overall impression was simply inappropriate for the price range.

This afternoon, July 13, 2025, I ate at Santa Lucia with my sister. We were served by a rather arrogant man who seemed to be bothered by our presence. He was consistently annoyed and didn't even think it necessary to look at us once during the entire visit or even ask if everything was okay. When I was paying, I still wanted to leave a tip, but he pointed out that it wasn't possible to do so by card and replied with a rude, "Then don't." Two families (4 people each) got up and left before we even ordered. One of them explained to the children that they shouldn't tolerate such behavior. I've been there twice before, and we were served by a woman who was absolutely wonderful! If I see that man on duty in the future, I will avoid the restaurant. Apart from that, the bread was raw and the pasta wasn't to our liking. However, the food arrived exceptionally quickly.

Average food, not so friendly employees, we didn’t feel welcomed

A true piece of Italy in the heart of the city! At Santa Lucia, it's not just the cozy Mediterranean ambiance that impresses, but above all the food: The homemade pasta was perfectly al dente, the pizza crispy and generously topped. The tiramisu is especially recommended – it's a dream! The service was attentive and warm. An all-round successful evening – we'd love to come back!

Arrogant treatment of customers on June 15, 2025: Although the owner was aware that parts of his outdoor furniture had been damaged due to vandalism, he didn't feel it necessary to remove the broken furniture, which resulted in guests damaging their clothing. When asked about this, the junior manager made it clear that he wasn't responsible and that the customer was essentially to blame. No apology, no compensation, or anything like that. Aside from this shabby treatment of its customers, the restaurant offers only mediocre food, which may be due to the fact that it's not a true Italian restaurant... An espresso for €3.50 is a bold statement.

Arroganter Umgang mit Kunden: obwohl dem Betreiber bekannt war, dass Teile seiner Außenmöblierung durch Randale beschädigt waren, fand er es nicht für nötig, defektes Möbel wegzustellen, was dazu führte, dass man als Gast seine Kleidung beschädigte. Darauf angesprochen, gab der Juniorchef zu verstehen, dass er dafür nicht verantwortlich wäre und der Kunde quasi selbst schuld sei. Keine Entschuldigung, keine Ersatzleistung oder ähnliches. Angesehen von dieser schäbigen Behandlung seiner Kunden, bietet das Restaurant nur ein mittelmäßiges Essen, was vielleicht daran liegt,dass es kein echter Italiener ist....Espresso für 3,50 € ist eine mutige Ansage.

What a shame! This used to be our favorite restaurant. This is the second time we've been treated so rudely. The last time, we left before ordering. And that wasn't just our opinion; the other guests noticed it too and would have made the same decision as us.

Everything is just right here. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff friendly and attentive. I had tortellini, which I absolutely loved. Even the bread was delicious. The price/performance ratio is absolutely right here, too.

Not recommended - disappointing visit to Santa Lucia! It was our first time at Santa Lucia - and definitely our last. The elderly waiter was extremely unfriendly and seemed consistently annoyed, as if our visit were an imposition. When we wanted to order a small extra to go with our meal, he simply responded with an annoyed "Oh dear!" and reluctantly left. We have rarely experienced such a bad atmosphere. Unfortunately, we absolutely cannot recommend the restaurant - our lunch there was simply disappointing.

Good food and wine options. Prices are the expected ones for Italian food in Celle. Service is good and fast. Opened all day which is a big plus since other restaurants have breaks at 2pm.

Very decent, average size pizza baked with Edam cheese according to the menu. Crispy base, finger-wide edge. Upon request, I added spicy oil to my Diavolo pizza, and the spinach-girgonzola pizza was also delicious. Hefeweizen was on tap. Quiet conversation without annoyingly loud music was possible. Not to forget: we were served here at 8:15 p.m., which was already late for Celle. Other visitors were already turned away from 8:30 p.m. So: go there on time!

We've been here many times with Aldo and his great team and Santa Lucia is always a safe bet when it comes to good, authentic Italian food😊. Today we were there spontaneously and now I have to write a review because the taste of it made me really happy today. We had starters - Vitello Tonnato and Sile Tre - both of which were really tasty. Then Spaghetti Frutti di Mare...indescribably good, great sauce, lots of seafood and Penne alla Santa Lucia - also great. First of all, delicious bread with great olive oil, service was always quick and always asking if everything was good. Wine also great. So completely happy and satisfied 😃. I was with my wife and my child. I had Frutti de Mare, my wife had tortellini with cream sauce, my daughter had a salami pizza starter, we had a salad and two separate plates. We are very satisfied with the service and the food and we will definitely come back👌👌👌👌

We were only moderately satisfied. The service really friendly. But the food definitely wasn't to our liking. The Vitello Tonnato was not pink and there was a lot of sauce put on it. Not our thing. The pizzas are not really Italian style. Base too thick, not crispy and far too thickly topped. Many people like it, but unfortunately we don't. If the restaurant is humming, the operator shouldn't do anything about it. But this place is definitely not for us.

A few days ago the Santa Lucia restaurant was visited. Carpaccio, Penne Santa Lucia and tiramisu were served. The dishes were fresh and tasted very convincing. The service was professional and courteous. The pricing corresponded to the quality level. The restaurant can only be recommended!! If you don't want to miss anything, you should definitely go there :)

We had lunch yesterday. The whole thing started with an opened water bottle that was served at the table and they didn't want to exchange it. We also ordered starter plates with various vegetables and mozzarella, the whole thing was still at refrigerator temperature (without taste). A Margherita pizza and a 4 cheese pizza, a tagliatelle with salmon at the end. The Margherita pizza would be served to my 6 year old daughter full of pepper... As an Italian, the tagliatelle is indescribable... Stay away from Italian cuisine if you don't know the basics.

Wow. Finally a restaurant visit again without any compromises. Had dinner with 6 people this evening. It was warm and cozy (not a given). The staff is always “on hand” and super friendly. The 2 hours flew by and we didn't want to leave. This has become rare in Celle And above all, the great food. The taste is simply great, including starters and dessert. It was our first time there (to our shame) but definitely not our last. Highly recommended

I got lost here by chance and tried it out. The food was very good (belly noodles with pumpkin), the service was quick. However, a visit to the toilets showed that there was an urgent need for renovation when we saw the broken window. But all in all: fits!

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the drinks and food. Because when we told the waiter that we just wanted something to drink, we were expelled from the house with a derogatory tone. Just drinking wouldn't work. Well then we were happy to leave our money somewhere else.

This is a fraudulent company. They don't respond to emails or WhatsApp messages. Today I received a reminder, but I did not receive any invoice or notification from Schufa beforehand. Unfortunately, I have already paid the amount of 52 euros. Tomorrow I'm going to the police and will report this company.

You get a lot of food for your money here. I sat outside and had a beautiful panorama of old half-timbered houses in front of me. Located in the middle of Celle's old town, the restaurant offers a beautiful look into the past.

The best service and the best food ... Specially the pizza

Food was ok, pasta was actually very good. The service was catastrophic. One star for the young waiter, who was very friendly and tried hard, the boss was unfriendly, grumpy, no one needs a host like that. In this restaurant the service really depends on the day and that can't be the case. Luckily there are alternatives, and pasta is really recommended.

Unfortunately not the best choice for eating pizza. I ordered a Diavolo pizza, which unfortunately was hardly spicy and the edges were jet black. Ordered a Hefeweizen with it, which was unfortunately warm and not enjoyable.

we had a pizza with chanterelles and spaghetti bolognese. The pizza wasn't spectacular but OK. Unfortunately the spaghetti sauce lacked any flavor, i.e. empty and bland. Re-salting wasn't enough either. After reading the previous reviews, one must conclude that this is not a blip, but rather that they simply can't do it. Conclusion: if you haven't been here yet, you haven't missed anything!

My visit to Santa Lucia today was a failure! After thinking for a long time about where my partner and I would have lunch today, we decided on this Italian restaurant. We've been there a few times, including with the children. Today we were alone and sat outside. The decision was made quickly, a pizza and a lasagna (in my words, you can't go wrong). The waitress took our order in a friendly manner. Our food arrived after only about 20 minutes. Everything great. But then I was absolutely disappointed with this dish. The lasagna, which was no bigger than the palm of my hand, was baked with enough cheese to probably make it seem bigger. There was cooked ham between the layers, which is completely new to me in a lasagne. It was also lukewarm in the middle and the sauce was very fruity and sour, as if it hadn't really been seasoned. I could only eat it well with salt from the mill and the bread that came with it. When the waiter cleared away, the question came, as always, whether everything was tasty and I said if I'm honest, then I'm disappointed and whether I can give some nice criticism. He said of course and thanked me for it and wanted to note it in the kitchen. However, when paying, not a word was said about it, no offer of a small compensation, simply nothing. Nowadays you have to be able to afford to eat out, for such a tiny and bad lasagna I regretted sitting down in the restaurant today. The waiter was very nice and the atmosphere was nice as always. But if the food goes down like that, we'll go somewhere else soon...

Nice little pizzeria! Nicely located in the old town. The food was very tasty and despite the fact that the terrace was full, we were taken outside as soon as a table became available. Very friendly and funny boss who rocked the service!!

Today, after visiting the outdoor pool with my daughter and grandson, we went to Santa Lucia in the evening, which used to be my absolute favorite restaurant. I ordered a large Coca Cola Zero with lots of lemon and a tuna/red onion pizza with extra red onions. A small Coca Cola Zero came, but at my request it remained that way and unfortunately the extra onions on the pizza were also missing. Basically the pizza tasted good, but I also like it with extra onions. When paying, I complained about the extra onions and they weren't charged to me either, but the waitress was completely incapable of criticism and so unfriendly, and at the end she intervened in a conversation with my daughter without being asked. No thanks, it wasn't the first time, it was very uncomfortable for me and I don't have to worry about it...

We recommend! I ordered number 51: rump steak with pepper sauce and fried potatoes. It's great that you can put it together. Either fries, fried potatoes or fried vegetables! I also received a very crisp, colorful salad plate in advance and 0.5l shandy! Very nice and cheerful service. I took a seat inside and it is very cozy here. Food was very salty. The waitress pointed this out in a friendly manner and we were given new food, which was fine. Afterwards, one of the waitress insulted other guests about my four friends and I and said how disrespectful we were and became very unfriendly and loud when we pointed out to her that we had heard this. Today, in a relaxed group of girls, we wanted to have a small rehearsal dinner for the pasta catering for my sister's wedding. When we ordered various juice spritzers, the waitress told us very pleasantly that she had to check for herself to see which ones were available because they were still new. We order five pasta dishes and were looking forward to eating. When the food came, one of us commented after the first bite that her food was very salty. Unfortunately, we discovered that all of our dishes were too salty and not edible. My sister asked the service person to come to us briefly and we explained to her that unfortunately all the food was too salty. The situation was also very unpleasant for us and we talked about how unpleasant the situation must be for the service worker on one of her first days at work. She cleared away the food, apologized and told us that of course we would all get a new meal. - Responded optimally! The chef can have a bad day sometimes. So far so good. While we waited for the second round, we talked about how glad we were that this didn't happen at the wedding. One of us noticed the advantages and said that it was practical and that you didn't have to add salt with the tequila. - We took it with humor and continued to devote ourselves to wedding planning. When the second round was served, the waitress apologized again and we tried the food. Now the cook was very careful when seasoning, but everything was good! Better than before! None of us ate everything, which was also noticeable when we cleared away the food. We said that we had been there many times before and the food was always really good. The question as to whether the staff in the kitchen had changed was answered in the negative. We had a quick chat with the service staff about how we had just noticed during our research that there have been more negative reviews lately. She replied: “There are haters here too!”. We paid and said goodbye. The other four walked to the car together. I locked my bike across the street from the streetlight while another waitress came out of the store onto the patio and was upset about “the disrespectful girls.” The third time the word “disrespectful” was mentioned, I went over and asked her to explain to me directly what exactly was disrespectful about our behavior. In my opinion, we tried to make the best of the situation and gave honest feedback on the food. Always with the point that the new colleague couldn't do anything about it. The waitress quickly became loud and called us disrespectful, childish and rude. She also picked up a part of the conversation in which we had said that we used to go there more often and the food was always very good. She couldn't remember us and then we would have to lie! We've never been there as a group before, but we've been there with other friends and family. When I realized that a factual conversation was not desired, I had no choice but to smile because I was overwhelmed, which was commented with “you don't have to laugh so stupidly.” I ended the conversation and rode away on my bike in shock. Even now I still can't believe what happened. - and it's not about the inedible food at all!
