Salzburger Stuben in Kassel

Went there for dinner with 5 people and two dogs. Reception and service was great. Everyone was very friendly and despite the restaurant being full, someone always asked if everything was okay. Food was very tasty. We'll definitely be back.

I ordered the “crispy garlic chicken” which unfortunately wasn’t crispy at all. Instead, it was overloaded with garlic and salt – and I say that even though I normally love garlic! It was simply inedible. When I asked the waiter about it, he just said, “Well, I wouldn’t have ordered that either.” I found this reaction extremely unprofessional and disappointing. Overall, my visit was unfortunately a huge disappointment and I will not be visiting this restaurant again.

Bavarian rustic with hearty classic cuisine. Simply delicious and of the best quality. Vegetarians will also find a number of delicious dishes in the meat-heavy cuisine.

Super delicious food. The Jägerschnitzel with chanterelles was delicious with a rich side dish. The starter salad came with a homemade topping, very tasty. We would be happy to go there again if we get the chance.

The food was delicious and the service was polite, but we definitely think the price of 38.50 euros for a goose leg with dumplings and red cabbage is exorbitant. Here you don't need to tell the guests about how much geese cost to buy and the constant talk of inflation. We farm ourselves and know the prices that restaurateurs sell. For comparison: other restaurants in Kassel offer goose legs with side dishes for well under 30 euros. In the end, the guest always has to foot the bill.

Shortly before the Christmas party the appointment was canceled because the date was entered incorrectly. 30 people are now looking for a new location.

All in all it was quite good, although the staff were understaffed, the service was still okay as the staff were very friendly.

Personal sehr nett. Essen ganz gut. Chef selber sehr hektisch .Hätten gerne das Tempo zum bestellen und Essen selber bestimmt. Man wird so abgefertigt. Verliert dadurch an Gemütlichkeit. Das gibt dadurch leider Punktabzug.

Österreich trifft Kassel - so soll’s schmecken! 18.00 Uhr, freundlicher Empfang, Frittatensuppe kam ratz fatz, dazu eine halbe Hacker-Pschorr. Schon mal ein guter Einstieg. Dann das „Wiener Brathendl“ …. (Zubereitung 30 Minuten) … diese Zeit ist es echt wert. Sehr lecker, saftig und knusprige Panade. Das wären gute fünf Sterne, aber irgendwie waren die Bedienungen überfordert (ja, es wurde voller und sie waren nur zu zweit), der Tisch wurde nicht abgeräumt, besonders schade, da sie oft leer in die Küche zurück gingen. Bei der Qualität und den super Portionen stimmt das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis, also eine echte Empfehlung.

Yesterday we were traveling home from the Czech Republic with two children and a dog and found this restaurant on the Internet. Absolutely great service, even the dog got chicken and water. The food came very quickly and was absolutely delicious!!!! This was by far the best restaurant I have visited in the last 10 years!!!! When I said goodbye, the landlady gave me a warm hug, an absolutely lovely presence! Everything is perfect from A to Z in these restaurants. There you understand what you are doing! Unfortunately I live about 1.5 hours away, but I would still like to come back just for the food!!! Kind regards and thank you for the great food!!!!

Small portions for a lot of money. The taste isn't great either. Cheese spaetzle, a handful, tasted like nothing and was totally oily, for 16 euros! Fried potatoes with egg were good, but also way too expensive for 16 euros! Here, as a family with two children, you can easily make a hundred bucks...

Best chicken in Kassel with the friendliest and most experienced gentleman behind the counter

I had only ordered fried potatoes and wanted them without eggs. This extra wish had to be paid for with more money, even though an ingredient was now missing. I was happy to pay full price, but no more even though they had lower expenses. To make matters worse, the onions were raw. Who cooks fried potatoes and sprinkles raw onions over them? I have never seen. I don't go there anymore.

I'm more than convinced, I'd even say I'm a fan! The ambience is convincing with modern but really stylish furnishings! The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating and leaves nothing to be desired. And the food itself is also great! The Jägerschnitzel were wonderful with the original Austrian potato salad. And the Kaiserschmarrn... a poem that you can hardly find better, even in Austria. I go on vacation to Tyrol every year, but even there I've rarely eaten such good Kaiserschmarrn, I've eaten a lot of them... All in all, a more than well-rounded affair! Always my pleasure!

Delicious schnitzel and steak, beer could be colder

But you can get the rest packed without having to pay extra for it, as I have already experienced. The only thing I don't really like is the interior design. It could be revised. But I'm there to eat and not to admire the decor :)

The place looks very nice, the food is very traditional, looks good, but not all of them tasty. (Either here not well cooked, or in general german food/cooking). The Bratkartoffel were VERY good and the garlic sauce excellent. But the chicken was eh. Tasted like boiled chicken. The atmosphere is... German.. quiet and older people.

The Salzburg Stuben are a classic in Kassel. Excellent food “just like Grandma’s”, super friendly and alert service and a wonderfully quiet, pleasant atmosphere. Clear recommendation for anyone who loves traditional home cooking!

This is a famous Hassen restaurant. One Haksen can feed 2 people. I came alone so I left some and they packaged it for me. If you stop by Kassel, be sure to eat it~

Totally friendly and warm service. However, the food leaves something to be desired. Schnitzel seasoned too strongly. The gravy tastes like instant, the red cabbage was served cold. The onion roast was not good.

Waiting time was a little longer. However, the food and friendly service made it better again. We recommend.
