It's a very old building, but that's precisely what makes it so great. The food has always been good! Keep it up!

The food was delicious, but the service and customer friendliness were a complete flop! We were a group of 12 at the restaurant and ate and drank a lot. One person in our group had a Schlemmerblock voucher (two meals for the price of one). Unfortunately, she forgot to mention the voucher when ordering. When she told the server shortly after ordering, and even ran after her, the response (two minutes after ordering) was, "Too late, you should have said that before." Yes, it's a requirement to mention it when ordering, but I've rarely experienced such unfriendly service. With such a large amount of money spent in one evening, I would have expected a bit more consideration. Or perhaps they shouldn't participate in such promotions at all! And to top it all off: For a €30 rump steak, we received ketchup and mayo (in individual packets), which were then charged separately. After the voucher promotion, and given the amount spent, this was simply outrageous. Overall: The food was great, but customer satisfaction was a complete disaster. On principle, I wouldn't go there again and unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant. A real shame!

Even though the waitress was alone due to a staff absence, I have a lot of respect for her for handling it all on her own. Then there were problems with the online reservation. The food was great and it was cozy there, too.

It's very rare that I write a review. But this one has to be done; the staff at Schindelhaus truly deserve it. I was there last Sunday with my son. Great weather, a lovely spot in the beer garden, and delicious beer. Those are already excellent conditions. Add to that the incredibly friendly service. And: I haven't had such a delicious meal in years as I did at Schindelhaus. I had a baked potato with chicken breast strips and mushrooms. A dream! My son had a Hessian sour cream schnitzel, and he really enjoyed it too. We'll see you again in October. I promise!

I've been there several times in a variety of settings and have been satisfied every time. The schnitzels are excellent, and the fried potatoes are simply delicious. By visiting regularly, the staff quickly recognizes you and treats you very kindly. The paprika cream soup is highly recommended and has actually been prepared for us several times, even though it wasn't on the daily menu – the staff and kitchen are great! We love coming to the Schindelhaus :)

Super delicious food (schnitzel and the vegetarian Schindelhaus pan), the food arrived very quickly and hot (Saturday evening). The service was very friendly and attentive! Delicious house schnapps and a rustic, cozy atmosphere. We used the voucher book, and it was worth it for the Schindelhaus – we'll definitely be back!

It was a nice evening, but the drinks logistics could be improved. The food was very substantial... I missed the trend toward lighter cuisine.

Currently my favorite restaurant – the food is top-notch, and the quality is commensurate, as far as I can tell. The girls do a fantastic job, are always friendly, and usually have a nice saying ready. The house schnapps at the end is amazing. One star deducted for the ambiance, because in my opinion, the beer garden is in dire need of a makeover. Some of the chairs are incredibly uncomfortable, and you get your legs stuck in the wooden floor. But it's still my first choice when I'm in the mood for a steak 🤗

Pre-booking for 6 p.m. and getting quick confirmation that it is accepted is also recommended and more relaxed. The parking lot is a few meters away. The restaurant is very rustic and clean. The staff very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the food. The ingredients were probably fresh, but the chef was probably not in good shape to season them. The cordonbleu was unfortunately fried and not very tasty due to far too much tasteless ham and no spices, the fried potatoes were fresh but far too much pepper and no salt. The extra cream sauce was totally tasteless. Unfortunately, the Jägerschnitzel was also completely tasteless, as were the fries. The side salads were the same, the taste was just vinegar and water, the little raspberry dressing couldn't make it any better, but it probably would have if there had been more. This works much better, I think

We spontaneously stopped by on Saturday evening after we saw the shingle house in the “Schlemmerblock”. We really enjoyed the visit! The atmosphere was a bit rustic, but everything was clean and the staff was very friendly. We had 3 different types of schnitzel and all 3 were delicious!

Today we were guests (two adults and two children) in the Schindelhaus Kassel. There you can especially get schnitzel and good home-style food. The food was good, but could be improved in some respects, but it could always be worse. We were very disappointed by the hidden costs and price calculations for the children's meals. Fried potatoes are charged extra (€1.50 per dish) without prior notice. All dishes can be ordered in half size, also for the kids. Unfortunately, the price is hefty at the end, so that these dishes almost correspond to the normal prices. The service was very nice and friendly and made a lot of effort. We won't be coming back as a family.

We ordered a cordon bleu with sweet potato fries and once the pork medallions with blue cheese and fried potatoes. Cordon bleu: The cordon bleu was delicious in itself and it was homemade. However, it was fried too brown. It was nicely filled and the sweet potato fries were really tasty. The side salad was very nicely dressed. The raspberry dressing on the salad also went very well. Pork medallions with blue cheese: Unfortunately, I imagined it differently! Each of the three chunks of pork medallion had a slice of completely expired blue cheese on it. He was simply no longer recognizable. The mushrooms themselves were tasty, but they were swimming in a lot of oil. The fried potatoes were very thickly sliced ​​and not fried crispy enough. The onions were also still too raw on the fried potatoes. Conclusion: very mixed! On the one hand, tasty in principle, but poorly implemented in the preparation/execution. A trained chef shouldn't send something like that out. For the price the result is not right.

What a shame! Yesterday, after a while, we went to the Schindelhaus again to eat schnitzel. Unfortunately the schnitzels were probably from the convection oven. Breading very light and limp, unseasoned, the sauces (sour sour cream and paprika) also relatively tasteless. Things were much better here. The service is still great, the small beer garden is very pretty. There will be another chance at some point.

Maybe someone should teach the chef how to cook. There are so many delicious spices. You should season a schnitzel before breading it and not just leave pepper and salt on the table for your guests. I've never experienced making a salad so sweet. You make it with vinegar and oil or a yogurt dressing. My wife's tart wine spritzer was also a shot in the oven. The main thing is expensive.

You can do it, but you don't have to... We were there with friends last night and had to wait almost 45 minutes for our food, even though it wasn't particularly busy. The food was okay, but nothing special. The price-performance ratio didn't convince us either. A really very small starter soup for almost 7.00 euros and a spartan tarte flambée for almost 17.00 euros. That couldn't make up for the pretty nice beer garden atmosphere. The service staff was nice and friendly, but also quite cozy. I also found it a bit unpleasant that our waitress was chewing gum the whole time she was talking to us.

We were there on Sunday at 5pm a good time it wasn't too crowded. With the meal there were additional dishes from the slate that we tested straight away. Overall, the bacon-wrapped dates were nice and big with almond inside and very tasty and the sour cream schnitzel was thin but I like it that way and it was extremely tender and the fried potatoes were simply wonderful...jammy...and the price was unbeatable for the quality in the beer garden...Highly recommended for bikers too and the service was quick and very friendly...We'll definitely be back!!!

I was there and ordered a shingle pan (vegetarian). The vegetables were not cooked through There was so much oil on it that you couldn't even taste the vegetables the vegetables were cut very large And the toasted bread was very hard and cold.

Meine Frau und ich hatten mal echt Lust auf ein gutes Schnitzel. Lt. den Bewertungen sollten wir ja im Schindelhaus ein super Schnitzel bekommen. Weit gefehlt, die Schnitzel war super dünn geschnitten (Aufschnitt) die Panade klebte fettig beidseitig dran, kein bisschen flufig oder mit ein paar Blasen in der Panade, so wie frisch aus der Pfanne. Fritteuse? wir wissen es nicht, unsere konstruktive und freundlich vorgetragene Beschwerde wurde einfach nett weggelächelt. Die Paprikasoße war super, die Jägersoße undefinierbar und auch mit echt gutem Willen und Hunger nicht zu essen." Ich frage mal in der Küche nach" wurde uns gesagt, wir warten noch heute auf die Antwort. Pommes sehr reichlich, aber watschelig und lauwarm. Die Salate waren gut. Alles in allem sehr ernüchtert. Wir werden es auch bestimmt nicht noch einmal versuchen. Sorry.

Sehr gemütliches kleines Local mit guten Essen. Hier gibt's ein Stern Abzug, da in manchen Saucen Alkohol enthalten ist, was leider nicht gekennzeichnet ist. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und reagiert sehr gut auf Reklamationen. Wir hätten auch eine neues Essen bekommen :)

Der Service war gut sehr nett und aufmerksam. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich und urig. Das Essen hat auch gut geschmeckt aber von der Portion her fand ich es etwas wenig. Bei den Preisen für eine Ofenkartoffel könnte es auch eine ordentliche Kartoffel sein. Ansonsten kann man nicht meckern.
