Kyoto Grill in Kassel

It's been 3 years since my last visit. Not much has changed, the quality has remained the same, as has the boss. The staff is still friendly. Whether on site or by telephone, it doesn't matter, it works great. Food tastes very good, Kyoto is still my favorite in Kassel.

Super satisfied, very cheap for the portion you get. The food simply tastes great. Unfortunately it's too far away from me, otherwise I would be a regular customer there. Always go there when you have the opportunity.

Large portions at normal prices. However, the quality is just okay. The price-quantity ratio is good, so if you want to eat a lot rather than particularly well, this is the right place for you. We decided to take away because it smelled very strongly of the kitchen inside, and otherwise the snack bar wasn't very appealing.

My favorite restaurant in Kassel, which I have often gone to (or even taken something home with me). Everything freshly prepared. Yummy. Run by a nice family. Very good value for money.

Unfortunately, our visit was a disaster. The food was served to us in a rude and intrusive manner. Shortly afterwards, another customer in the restaurant suffered a health problem and collapsed. The staff and manager did not respond to our calls for help; we had to provide first aid ourselves and call the emergency doctor. While we waited for emergency services, the manager repeatedly stated that the problem was not caused by the restaurant and made inappropriate comments about the affected guest. Finally, we were even asked to clean the area, which was completely uncalled for. The atmosphere was cold and inhumane and we were urged to continue eating even though this was not possible under the circumstances. I can't recommend this place under any circumstances.

I was at the Kyoto Grill on October 25th, 2024 and had to experience a very unpleasant situation. A guest near us was clearly suffering from health problems and needed urgent help. Instead of being supportive, the restaurant staff responded with complete indifference. Despite repeated requests to provide help or at least to make an emergency call, the team remained inactive. This behavior was completely unprofessional and shows a lack of responsibility. Even in a restaurant, you should be able to expect the staff to respond appropriately in an emergency. I hope that the restaurant prepares better in the future and trains its employees to take responsibility in such situations. Instead of just worrying about how you are going to clean up the vomit on the floor from the guest.

I was eating there with my group, and you have to say the staff was super unfriendly, the man threw our plate on the table instead of putting it down normally! We sat for a few seconds and the man already came to take the order. So super intrusive. Then there was a person who needed first aid and the man who worked there didn't give first aid and didn't do anything. Instead, a friend had to help the man who was lying on the floor and he was thinking about his floor! and gave her a cloth to wipe it off. If my friend hadn't been there no one would have helped! Enjoy your meal.

What can I say! Since everything was closed, we stopped there. Seating inside is not appealing at all. Like in the "train station". You had to order and get drinks at the counter, but the dish was brought to the table by an employee on the phone with pods in their ears. It tasted ok.

The first impression: the room and outside seating look old and careless, but are cleaned regularly. The food is good and, given its price, suitable for regular consumption. The staff is nice and very efficient. The Kyoto Grill has long been established in the area and has proven to be a staple. (If you want luxury, you can pay a lot more and eat less often.)

I wouldn't call this Chinese restaurant a restaurant. I took a seat outside, also because I didn't find it appealing at all inside. Secondly, it was really warm. The location right on a four-lane road doesn't make it particularly appealing. The service is nice. The prices are really cheap. There is bottled beer. The food was...okay. However, I would classify it as a snack meal. The right spiciness for my taste... but not again.

It used to be better and, above all, much cheaper.

Delicious, large, inexpensive places. More of a snack bar with seating. I recommend it and will come again.

Dirt. Duck ordered, what is NOT on it... duck, overcharged. 6€ overcharged. Be careful here, you will be deducted as soon as an opportunity arises.

My favorite Chinese takeaway about 10 years ago. Large tasty portions. With Asian flavor. The place was full, and I could easily communicate with the owner with my rudimentary Chinese language skills at the time. Even if we met outside the snack bar, we always had a nice chat. Also with his wife, who ran an extremely delicious Chinese soup kitchen next door. But today? The 48 consisted of overcooked discount spaghetti, chicken breast in thick breading and lots of carrots, peppered with some sprouts and "egg?". Luckily, I only found one limp brown chip as a surprise in the meal. The snack room was full of guests and the chef was dozing, covered with a large blue bath towel in the back corner of the dining room. I had to write the number of the dish I wanted on a piece of paper to the listless cooks and they showed me the price on the menu. It was around 4 p.m. and I must have run out of steam My very loud 讓老闆睡吧 faded away in the room without comment. Too bad....

the smell wasn't pleasant inside so we sat outside, there were no food selections for kids, and the food quality wasn't good enough for me, the crispy layer on the fried chicken was too thick and the food amount was huge, rice tasted good though, and the teriyaki sauce was on point 👌

The food is quite ok. Unfortunately not what it used to be. It doesn't take 4 minutes before they bring the food. Own Quite good. But the quality goes down a bit. Since the rice is placed on the plate beforehand to prepare it for the next customer, it is usually dry on the outside. The same goes for the orange slice that dries out in the heat of the kitchen. Likewise the parsley decoration. I find the atmosphere sad. We decided to eat inside first. But since there were a few wasps and lots and lots of flies buzzing around the dining room, we decided to sit outside on the corner of the house. Was ok. Better than inside. Please bring your plate to the counter when you're finished instead of leaving it outside. This not only looks stupid but also probably annoys the service staff.

Ordered 2x dishes for €9.30 each. Plus a coke that we shared… in the end we paid €26??? For a cola €7.40? When we wanted to pay, he roughly added up the food at the table... so he obviously did something wrong. Unfortunately I only noticed it when we were already gone. Food was ok but I won't be back

Super leckers essen sehr grosse Portionen für wenig Geld.

Sehr freundlich, Essen war top, immer was los und Preise die man sich öfter leisten kann. Empfehle ein Menu ... Nachtisch war ebenfalls sehr gut.

Der Standort der Lokalität ist das einzig gute. Die Kimchi und der (Glasnudelsalat) eigentlich aber Eisbergsalat mit Hänchen sind ok. Die Suppe war nicht gut genauso wie die gebratenen Nudeln mit Hänchen. Über die Hälfte der Speisen wurden stehen gelassen. Küche ist offen das ist n Pluspunkt. Die Mitarbeiter sind bemüht. Nicht empfehlenswert.

Immer sehr freundlich und das Essen ist sehr frisch und wird schnell zubereitet.

Echt lecker und super schnell. Hab dort direkt bestellt und höchstens 10min gewartet. Die 62 ist zu empfehlen. Die 75 ist auch echt lecker. Und endlich mal richtig Knoblauch am Essen.

Von aussen durchschnitts china restaurant. Essen eher unterirdisch. Hab hier gegessen weil nichts gescheites in der nähe war. Essen so staubtrocken das gibt's nichts... den reis auch verkackt... wie man das überhaupt hinkriegt is mir n rätsel

Die Vorspeise war lecker, die Hauptspeise ok. Es wurde nicht gewartet bis wir die Vorspeise aufgegessen hatten, da wurde schon der Hauptgang serviert.... Das Frauenklo konnte man nicht abschließen. Es ist nur Barzahlung möglich. Die Bedienung hat am Handy lautstark irgendwelche Videos angeschaut, was gestört hat. Ist eher ein Imbiss, wo man das Essen abholen und dann wieder gehen möchte, als ein Restaurant in dem man verweilen will. Ich komme nicht wieder.

Super Laden, top Lage. War nach 11 Jahren wieder einmal dort. Hat sich nicht verändert. Qualität sehr gut und frisch. Portionen immer noch üppig und Preise in Ordnung. Kommen gerne wieder.

Das mit Abstand allerbeste Thai-Curry in ganz Kassel und Umgebung! 🍛 Wir haben schon viele verschiedene Asiatische Restaurants ausprobiert und kommen immer wieder hier hin zurück. Entweder ist es woanders viel zu salzig oder nicht scharf genug für mich. Ich bestelle immer die Nr. 73 (rotes Curry mit Ente), mein Freund die Nr. 85 (knusprige Ente mit Erdnusssoße) und der kleine Sohn mit isst auch gerne hier. Es ist kinderfreundlich und die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und serviceorientiert. Ein echter Geheimtipp und einen Besuch immer Wert. 👍

Super leckeres Essen. Kleiner Laden aber umso größere Portionen! Alle lieb und freundlich und durften trotz das wir so spät kamen noch dort essen. Super gut, kann ich nur empfehlen. Preis auch voll in Ordnung für die Portionen.

Great food! Crispy duck with Thai sauce - must try!

Preise sind für die Portionen angemessen, alles frisch gemacht. Sitzmöglichkeiten drinne wie draußen. Waren alle satt und es hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Auf der Karte (Bilder), wo ich mit dem Finger hinzeige, haben wir bestellt. Wir können es gerne weiter empfehlen

Wenn man seitlich sitzt, sitzt man nicht genau an der Straße und das war sehr angenehm. Der Service war nicht ganz nach unserem Geschmack. Wir haben 3 Getränke bestellt, 2 im Glas bekommen und die Cola gabs als 0,5er in einer Plastikflasche. Wir haben alle drei gebratene Nudeln mit Ente bestellt und 2 haben ihr Essen bekommen, während der Dritte 5-10 min warten musste. Das war etwas unschön. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portion sehr groß. Keiner hat alles auf essen können. Man hat nur Besteck bekommen, Stäbchen habe ich keine gesehen, ich habe aber auch nicht gefragt. Am Ende wurde abgeräumt, während ich noch am Essen war, das fand ich nicht so angenehm. Alles in allem kann man sagen, wenn man als Student gut/viel/lecker essen will für einen guten Preis, dann kann man das da gut machen. Ich würde wieder hin gehen.

Hab mir gebratene Nudeln mit Ei, Garnelen und Huhn bestellt . Leider waren nur 2 Garnelen im Essen und ich finde das ist eine Frechheit. Obwohl es in der Karte aufgelistet ist, so wenige Garnelen aufm Teller zu haben. Bedienung ist nett und Ambiente ist ok

Essen schmeckt gut und Preis-Leistung passt hier. Portionen zum Mitnehmen sind riesig. Kommen auf jedenfall wieder.

Schnelle freundliche Bedienung, Essen war lecker und preisgünstig

Im Sommer schöne Sitzplätze im Außenbereich in der Nebenstraße. Mit dem Essen sind wir immer zufrieden, die Portionen sind sehr reichlich und die Preise überschaubar.

Nicht sehr freundliches Personal und dreckiges Restaurant. Der Boden klebt, sodass bei jedem Schritt der Schuh kurz festklebt. Dafür aber leckeres Essen, was nicht zu teuer ist.

I got chicken and noodles and they brought out a huge plate (more expensive plate lol). The food was amazing. There's no music playing in the restaurant which feels wierd but all the cooks looked super nice and waved when we left. They will try to get you to buy a drink or give you a bigger€ option if you don't specify very clearly.
