If you order a simple dish like Tagliatelle Bolognese – here “Tagliatelle Emiliana” – you will be served with perfection. For me the absolute benchmark! If you're looking for first-class Italian cuisine, you've come to the right place. Regarding the prices: yes, the food is a bit more upscale, but the non-alcoholic drinks are cheap. The Cola comes in a 0.33 glass bottle. Often you pay €4.50 for 0.2.

I must say very average if not below average. Both Ravioli and Bolognese pasta, had 0 taste. Atmosphere nothing really special. Perhaps you run into some politicians or famous people and that’s it. The service was good and they are all italians. Will not go back

Food was good, expensive relative to the price. It was relatively loud due to renovations to the facade. Service was quite arrogant and a bit reserved, I know that much better, I didn't really feel welcome.

100% my favorite shop in Berlin and I say that as a Berliner. The service team always gives you the feeling of being a regular customer, even if you haven't been there for years. The food and drinks are excellent, I can only recommend it, although I would gladly not do it for tourism reasons.

Wonderful service and great Italian cuisine. The space is aesthetic, but so loud that having conversations is difficult. The high, bare walls and ceiling reflect all noises, cutlery and plates - Strumming, pushing chairs and human voices. Nevertheless, we keep going back because the excellent cooking skills and the accommodating staff make up for it.

Sale e Tabacchi is a long-running Italian restaurant nestled in Mitte that exudes its own cozy charm, complete with high ceilings that add to its inviting atmosphere. The food here is authentic and decent, offering a taste of Italy right in the heart of Berlin. One of the highlights for me was discovering that they also serve Bellinis, adding a touch of elegance to the dining experience.

Grazie mille to the Sale e Tabacchi team! We popped in on a Friday evening without a reservation and, despite the clock being on our backs, had a wonderful meal with you! The ambience is visually and acoustically reserved, but high quality; you immediately feel very comfortable. Among the main things: The service was very attentive and particularly courteous and friendly. We were also completely happy with the food – the tuna carpaccio with pink pepper and coriander is particularly recommended! And as banal as it sounds: the bread served as an amuse-bouche with the very aromatic, intense olive oil and salt alone is worth the visit. 😉 The open wines are also very good. Until next time – then with reservations so that we can enjoy you to the fullest.

I asked for permission to use the toilet and the men said no. When I said I'd pay you this, further no. It was really urgent, I was a little desperate and wanted to go to the toilet when one of the men stood in my way. I have never experienced more undignified behavior.

Ein gutes italienisches Restaurant nahe Checkpoint Charlie. Angenehmes Ambiente. Hier kann man bedenkenlos mit Arbeitskollegen zum Mittagstisch einkehren. Die Speisen und Getränke stehen in einem angemessenen Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Für ein Candle-Light-Dinner eher ungeeignet.

Excellent Italian cuisine. There are new experiences with every visit, from starters to dessert. Pasta dishes and tartufo are particularly delicious.

The portioning is incorrect. Little sauce for mussels, just a spoonful of mashed potatoes and a lost cocktail tomato for an entrecote.

Food was good, service was good and friendly if you’re either a regular or it’s not a busy time. We had to wait 30 minutes after waving several times for someone to take our dessert order, while the table next to us gets an attention pretty quickly. In the end I’d rather not get anything more and just go get dessert elsewhere. Bottom line, the food quality is pretty good, and price is quite in line with what you get. But, I won’t be coming back and I don’t recommend this place because of the service issue.

Mixed feelings here: food was good, service was average. After a misunderstanding during payment which should not have had any impact, we felt pressure about tip which was considered mandatory to be relatively high by the waiter(s) despite that we are not in the US so listed price includes service here. We guess that this is not a blocker for most people but on our side it makes us reluctant to come back. The room is noisy when there is a lot of people.

Essen ganz lecker, recht teuer, liegt wahrscheinlich an der Lage in Berlin..Leider gibt es keine Hafermilch oder andere Kuhmilchalternativen für die italienischen Kaffeespezialitäten, das sollte mittlerweile überall zum Angebot gehören Service sehr schnell, jedoch kann die Freundlichkeit noch verbessert werden

Prices are high. Service are very great. Food is also good. We got our appetizer and drinks very fast. One thing I really didn’t like is that there was no music in the restaurant. At all. When we came it was empty and service was running with the tables around us and making a lot of noise in completely quiet place. Then came a lot of people and restaurant was full. But still no music at the background. Tables are very close to each others. So you can hear everyone’s talk…The interior is old fashion. So in general atmosphere was not that pleasant.

We are talking real Italian business here. I love it. Fullfilled my expectations, I was studying it for a while before making my reservation. I tried once before, it was full. Last night, with a spontaneous call a table was available. Fresh food 🐙, great cooking and very comfortable atmosphere. Grazie mille 👌🏽

Wir waren zum frühen Dinner im Restaurant und hatten glücklicherweise kurzfristig einen Tisch reserviert. Angenehme Begrüßung und schnelle Bereitstellung eines Aperitifs. Die Speisekarte enthält viele Klassiker der italienischen Küche und alles was das Herz begehrt. Haben uns für Antipasti und Primi entschieden. Weinbegleitung ein Südtiroler Weißer - absolut passend. Essen sehr gut und empfehlenswert. Sehr lively Atmosphäre mit vielen internationalen Gästen - Kreuzberg eben. Empfehlenswertes Lokal!

I left this restaurant hungry! For the prices asked, there is not much on the plate and the quality nothing special. Not having any pizza (without a decent variaty of pasta) is also a no-go for me personally, especially if you have kids. For the price, I will not go there again.

Prodotti veramente italiani e di ottimo livello, anche meglio di molti ristoranti in Italia. Non amo mangiare italiano all’estero perché resto difficilmente soddisfatta. Questa è stata, invece, la volta in cui ho mangiato meglio in un ristorante italiano all’estero!
