Ristorante Masaniello in Berlin

All my guests agreed that it was one of the worst pizzas I have ever eaten as an Italian. Pizza and ingredients had no taste. (Quality, zero). Never again

Only the best from Masaniello. Excellent typical Neapolitan and Italian cuisine, made by real Neapolitans. The pizza made in a wood-fired oven with a typical Neapolitan recipe is also excellent. The staff is exceptional. If you go to Berlin you can't help but stop by there. A recommended dish is the escalope Bolognese.

A shame for Naples and for Italy! SHAME!

Pizza....and Pizza...After the restaurant got bigger, it lost a bit of the atmosphere, but the food keeps the quality over many visits and gives some variation in the daily menu, so you can get surprised. Maybe the best pizza in Berlin (Maybe no more since 2019 but still good). Pasta with swordfish was delicious! Great with kids in Summer...Now open on Sundays again.

Italy passes through this historic place to Berlin. One of the first pizzerias in Germany and Berlin. Truly Italian and not the usual Germanized and taste-raped food with adapted stuff.

Really bad service. Everything took WAY too long, dishes were forgotten and when asked for recommendations none could be given. The food was very expensive and the portions were very small. The pizzas are a good size but have almost no toppings. Every pizza is basically a Magherita... The “tomato salad” consisted of one (!) carelessly cut tomato, cut into about 3 fat slices, with heaps of onions on top and oregano on top. Make it €7.50 please! There are much better restaurants in the area in particular, where the price/performance ratio is right. You'd better go there.

I have been to this restaurant twice and was very satisfied each time. But this time I decided to read the recent comments first. I came across more and more negative reviews that mentioned aggression. Nevertheless, I decided to give the restaurant another chance. When we arrived we were shown to a place where we didn't feel comfortable. So we independently looked for another table that was quieter and didn't have a reservation card. But then the waiter came and his reaction was shocking: he was aggressive and asked us to go back to our original seat because the new table was supposedly reserved. His annoyed and aggressive attitude made the situation even more unpleasant. At first we sat there and thought about what we should do. But as the waiter became increasingly angry and asked us to change seats again, we finally decided to leave the restaurant. This experience was disappointing and scary. It's sad to see how service has deteriorated. I will avoid this restaurant in the future.

Food was okay, nothing special Service was extremely bad, from long waits, the waiter tapping on the shoulder to the waiter constantly reaching back and forth instead of trying. Maybe it was because Italy was playing that day but that shouldn't affect the quality of the service. I can't recommend the shop except perhaps for a drink in the beer garden without any pretensions

We tried pizza margherita and pasta alla putanesca and it was all very good. The pasta wasn't al dente, but still creamy and pleasantly spicy. The summer garden is beautiful, the atmosphere is cozy and the service is great!

Greetings from Naples through original bella Familia. The pizzas are large and tasty, even the dishes on the special menu shone with quality. It's not for nothing that it's always full here!

**Watch out, violent waiters!!** I was there this evening and wanted to order a pizza for myself, which was easy. While waiting for the pizza, I did something on my phone while leaning/rocking forward in a "two feet forward off the chair" position. The waiter came from behind and forcibly pulled my chair down so that I would "sit up straight" because it could be dangerous for him, he said (with an aggressive expression on his face). I have to say he didn't even say anything to me. Of course, if he had told me that normally, I would have paid attention (even though that's pure bullshit). In any case, I left the restaurant. He didn't apologize and his boss also became aggressive because I didn't want to stay. Kindergarten behavior. Zero service.

a first class Italian in Berlin! Everything is of top quality, I went once this week and had to go twice more because it was so good. I can recommend everything from spaghetti vongole, pizza, antipasti and coffee. Super lovely restaurateurs! Always happy, it wasn't the last time!

The food is great and we always feel really comfortable with you, especially when the weather is good on the terrace! Pizza good as always. Today I also had pasta with mussels and they were fantastic!!!

My companions' food was good, but unfortunately my lasagne was cold in places. A pity. But the excitement was that the three of us were not “allowed” to pay separately when paying by card, but rather all on one bill. Three people, not from one household, and one has to lay out? Who comes up with that? No separate bills? Why? If the billing for card payments is too expensive for you, then why not only offer cash payments? Why are you putting this on customers' heads? That was really annoying. And one waiter should practice a little more on his attitude towards customers. I remembered the place well. But like that... NEVER AGAIN!

For the sake of truth I must confess that I have never had lunch or dinner in this restaurant, but I met them through an Italian television program and I fell in love with their friendliness, they are Neapolitans D.O.C. When I come to Berlin it will be one of my first stops!

It has gotten worse over the years. Now there is very little or nothing Italian. The pizza is terrible. There is so much better in the city to enjoy a real Neapolitan pizza: prometeo, malafemmena, zola. Service not attentive, sometimes rude. You don't even need cutlery. There really is better.

Probably the most ill-mannered staff I've ever encountered so far in a restaurant Berlin, and it's been many years. There's many alternatives in Berlin where they authentic Naples-style pizza but don't behave like cavemen, so there's really no reason to be back.

Ich war mit einer Freundin da. Wir haben Pizza gegessen. Der Teig war richtig gut gemacht. Die Pizza ist groß, nicht zu gewurzt und hat richtig toll geschmeckt. Preis Verhältnis toll! Vielleicht sogar ein tick zu günstig. Ich war nur im Urlaub da, sonst würde ich gerne öfter die Pizzeria besuchen. Danke an das ganze Team :)

Ich hatte eine Lasagne, aber fand ich nicht so toll. Keine Bechamel sauce und die Tomatensauce war so sauer, wie reines Tomatmark. Der Käse oben drauf nur leicht geschmolzen. Meine Frau hatte Pasta und war sehr begeistert. Auch die Pizzen sahen sehr gut aus, aber die Auswahl ist sehr speziell. Service und Ambiente waren toll.

Leider nach heutigen Tag habe ich beschlossen nie wieder Masaniello zu besuchen.Lieblos ohne Geschmack . Antipasti Teller für 18,50€ hat mich zum Lachen gebracht und noch dazu ohne Brot serviert. Kein Öl, kein Salz, nichts. Und bedient hat uns ein 13 jähriges Kind. Was ist aus dem guten Restaurant geworden? Ein schlechtes!

Sind ein paar Tage in Berlin und waren begeistert. Tolles italienisches Restaurant, hervorragendes Essen, super Service, man fühlt sich wie in Italien. Gehen auf jeden Fall nochmal dort hin.

Seit den siebziger Jahren vor Ort und immer noch die beste Pizza im Kiez. Besonderes Highlight allerdings: Spaghetti Frutti di Mare.

Sehr gute Pizza mit hochwertigen Toppings, klasse Bedienung in Biergarten-Atmosphäre.

Buena pizzeria con amplia terraza (especialmente bonita y acogedora en las noches de verano) y zona interior muy espaciosa. Hasta ahora todas las pizzas que hemos probado estaban muy buenas. La masa es fina y el tomate está muy rico. Desgraciadamente los precios han subido bastante (especialmente el de la bebida me parece exagerado).

Excellent pizza, generous portions, even with the salad and wine, and great service. Can highly recommend. They don’t provide a salad dressing- rather olive oil and balsamic in bottles, so it’s a bit diy, but everything else is perfect.

Ich gehe dort seit Jahren immer wieder Pizza essen. Vor allem im Sommer ist die Terrasse sehr schön. Reservieren ist empfehlenswert. Die Pizza Pullecenela ist die beste Pizza ohne Käse, die ich je gegessen habe! Wenn man die Sardellen weg lässt ist es mit Abstand die beste vegane Pizza, die ich kenne!
