A lovely sushi bar with a great atmosphere. The sushi prices are exorbitant and disproportionate. Even when the place was very quiet, the appetizer was forgotten.

Tried it for lunch today on a recommendation. Unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. The price-performance ratio is completely out of proportion! Tasteless and overpriced.

The sushi compositions are imaginative, and alongside classics, there are always some very special combinations to discover. The staff are friendly and fast—both in-house and for delivery! We've never been happier eating or ordering from here, and our guests from near and far are regularly delighted. 🙏

We ordered over the phone for New Year's Eve for pickup. The bill for pickup was extremely high. I called after pickup and asked how the prices were calculated. The prices had been drastically increased and hadn't been updated on the website in ages. If I'd known how expensive it was, I would never have ordered from there. The food was good, but the service on the phone was very poor.

A nice little restaurant in Leipzig with running sushi. The service is very friendly, and the Asian flair comes across as very authentic. The quality of the food is perfect and justifies the prices. You can easily watch the food being prepared at the bar. There is one small drawback, however. The menu lists prices per plate and color, but the bill is a flat rate. The drinks are a bit overpriced. Still, a very good location.

Sakura es fácilmente el segundo mejor lugar de sushi en Leipzig con sushi que va de promedio a realmente bueno. Me encanta que este lugar está a poca distancia de mi casa, aunque ha habido veces que he pedido la entrega. . . independientemente de comer o entregar la experiencia de la comida es fiablemente buena. Tienen una buena variedad y hacen un buen trabajo, aunque más caro que otros lugares de sushi, también son mejores que la mayoría de los lugares de sushi en Leipzig. Solo les gana otro lugar más caro... así que realmente es por lo que pagas. Recomiendo el lugar para sushi de buena calidad que no rompe el banco.

The ambience of the restaurant was clean, tidy and chic, especially the circle with the boats was of course an absolute eye-catcher. The service staff were super nice and accommodating and were open to any questions from anyone new to sushi. The food was sufficient and you could taste that the rolls and bowls were freshly prepared - the price was also reasonable.

You can get very good sushi both down at the “sushi bar” and at the real tables. The service is very attentive and everything from starters to dessert tastes excellent. The restaurant has a good location in the middle of the city and you can also sit outside. Given that the purchase price is becoming more and more expensive, you pay a reasonable price for this good sushi. You also get a generous amount of sushi when you order platters 🍣

We were at a separate table and ordered two sushi plates. These were very nicely prepared and tasted very good. With a price of just under €30 per plate, this is also very fair for what you get. The staff was very friendly and even changed the plate slightly upon request.

Gestern Abend habe ich das Sakura Kaiten besucht und saß am Kaiten Sushi (Running Sushi Table), das war das erste mal das ich persönlich die Erfahrung gemacht habe mit dem Kaiten. Ich fand es sehr beruhigend und die Stimmung allgemein war sehr ausgeglichen, auch nicht laut und ein Lob an die Kellner & Köche die sehr freundlich aufgetreten sind. Die Einrichtung ist sehr schlicht und sauber. Nun zum wichtigsten das Essen: Ich hatte Dumplings (Vegi), Nigiri sake und In and out probiert und alles war super geschmacksintensiv. Ich war sehr begeistert auch von der anrichtung der Speißen sehr kreativ und gleichmäßig angeordnet. Es ist das Prinzip je nach dem welche Teller Farbe du hast so viel kostet die Speise. Ich wurde eingeladen daher kann ich leider garnicht genau sagen wie viel was kostet, aber ich würde aufjedenfall noch mal hin, da es einfach eine spaßige Erfahrung ist vorallem wenn man mit Freunden hin geht. Ist natürlich super das man auf das Kaiten Sushi nicht warten muss und wir haben einfach 1 1/2 durch gequatscht. Hatte die Limetten Limonade auch sehr erfrischend gewesen. All in all kann ich es nur weiter empfehlen!

A truly splendid restaurant with the most amazing straff! We were served quickly and the food was amazing. Explaining that we were going to be bringing the food with us they did the absolute maximum possible to ensure that not only the food but also the ice cream we ordered stayed fresh until we got home. The restaurant was very pleasant and we wished we could have eaten in house. In addition the food was very fairly priced given the quality of the food! All in all I would recommend everyone to dine here!

Went there for the first time, fresh and tasty. You have to restrain yourself because it is so delicious, because the price for three of us was already high. It was really very good and nice...... and next time I'll take the big wallet 😉we'll come back.

We were on site for the first time on the assembly line. The chairs are very close together and you get to know your neighbors very well. They are definitely too narrow for me. The service was very unfriendly and after 1/2 hour of ordering there was still nothing there, when asked they were very rude and with the answer that they could leave, he definitely shot himself out of the game. The tape was partly very empty. The two men who prepared the sushi could have their shoes soleed while they worked. They chatted more than worked. And when they worked it was always the same thing. The selection was very limited and they loved the simple nigiri. After all, you don't have to do much. The sushi tasted delicious and looked fresh, you can't really say anything about it. We eat a lot of sushi and have visited various restaurants in and around Leipzig. But I definitely won't come here again. I didn't eat much. I still left €60 there just for myself.... I like to spend money on sushi, but then everything has to be right. It doesn't do that here. In the end, the waiter apologized and gave me the plate I ordered, which took so long. I thought that was very decent. Hence 3 stars.

A lot of surimi instead of fish, but that probably explains the price, as it's not quite as expensive in Sakura as, for example, in Shiki. We had a sushi menu put together for €90. Is this loveless plate seriously worth €90 for 3 people? Even the waiter was irritated when he served this to us. I then asked directly if that was a mistake and the waiter only gave rude and disrespectful answers. On the subject of food: I am an absolute sushi lover and am very much afraid that there are either leftovers from the “boats” on this plate or that the quality is simply poor. The avocado was already brown in color and the crunchy rolls must have been sitting for a few hours! There are such good sushi restaurants in Leipzig that are 1000% better than this shop in terms of service and staff.

Hello Sakura Kaiten team, We had dinner with you on February 16, 2024 around 7 p.m. We decided on the “master's” surprise plate for €30 per person, i.e. €90 for three people. Unfortunately, a fatal mistake. We expected a special, unusual and individual combination and got cold crunchy rolls (2), oxidized (brown) avocado and a normal standard combination. Far from a fresh “master” performance. There was no response to the criticism, which even the staff saw as justified. There wasn't even an apology. Unfortunately, a shop that rests on its high frequency and reacts almost arrogantly to criticism.

The Sakura sushi restaurant is a real treat for all lovers of Japanese cuisine. With an impressive selection of fresh fish, artfully prepared sushi and a cozy atmosphere, it is a must-see destination for foodies. Each dish is a masterpiece of presentation and taste, and the friendly staff ensure every visit is an unforgettable dining experience. I've been making sushi myself for 6 years and have to say that Sakura is a first-class address, if not the best in Leipzig, when it comes to sushi. Rice: mildly acidified, pleasantly grainy texture, right temperature Fish: absolutely fresh, very well cut, surprisingly large selection Variations: from classic Japanese to American to successful original compositions (flambéed toro with unagi - a poem!) Service: attentive but not intrusive; extremely friendly and quick Price: not cheap, but absolutely reasonable for the quality. Conclusion: If you are looking for a real taste experience with sushi, you have come to the right place.

Wir haben zum Abschluss des stressigen Jahres uns etwas gutes gönnen wollen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Vom Empfang über das Essen bis zur Verabschiedung war alles sehr zufriedenstellend. Der Service war sehr gut, sehr freundlich und sehr nah am Gast. Das wichtigste jedoch, das Sushi war sehr lecker und sehr variantenreich. Wir saßen am Fließband und haben zwar nicht alles namentlich gekannt, aber egal was wir genossen haben, war lecker. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Alles sehr gut, sowohl die Speisen wie auch der Service ! Was äußerst negativ auffällt: Das Band mit den Schiffchen läuft leider viel zu schnell. Zum einen ist es allen Gästen sehr schwierig gefallen, bei der Geschwindigkeit sich Tellerchen runter zu nehmen. Zum anderen sorgt es für eine negative Atmosphäre, weil es wirklich viel zu schnell neben einem beziehungsweise vor einem „lang saust“. So fühlt man sich getrieben und nicht entspannt, wie gewünscht. Zum anderen sind die Plätze an der Bar neben der Tür extrem kalt im Rücken, man kann dort nicht sitzen.

Für uns beste Sushi-Bar in Leipzig und einer der besten weltweit. Die Qualität ist mit Sushirestaurants aus der gehobenen Klasse in Japan vergleichbar. Sie wird von einer freundlichen vietnamesischen Familie in der zweiten Generation geführt. Das Sakura ist ein In-Lokal. Dort treffen sich die Köpfe der Stadt. Sehr kinderfreundlich. Exzellente Weinkarte. Auch für mittags eine Empfehlung. Abholung möglich.

Man wird dort sehr eng platziert. Ich fand es unangenehm. Gezahlt wird pro gegessenem Teller, das ist theoretisch OK. Leider kann selbst das Personal die verschiedenen Farben der Aufkleber auf den Tellern nicht auseinander halten, es gibt weiße schalen, die haben keine Aufkleber. Da muss man schätzen, was es ist und was es kosten könnte. Die Schiffchen werden zwar nachgefüllt, aber nicht sehr abwechslungsreich. Unschön finde ich auch, dass auf jedem eingedeckten Platz bereits das Schälchen mit Ingwer und Wasabi steht. Auch draußen . Mein Ingwer war schon angetrocknet. Der Fisch war wirklich frisch und von guter Qualität.

Mehr kann man nicht verlangen, wenn man gutes Sudhi mag. Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre und Freundlichkeit. Und dads doviele Jahre schon.
