Überteuert, die Sushis sind zwar visuell sehr schön aber geschmacklich besonders für so einen gehypten angeblichen beste Sushis leipzig sehr enttäuschend. Haben die signature Sushis bestellt… :( Würde niemand empfehlen.

Es ist ein sehr schöner Ort, um Sushi zu essen.

Super leckeres Restaurant mit toller Einrichtung und tollem Ambiente. Super freundliches Personal. Das Essen war super lecker und toll angerichtet fürs Auge. Das einzige Problem war das die Bestellung selbst fehlerhaft war und uns falsches Essen gebracht worden ist und es sehr lange gedauert hat bis das Essen kam. Ansonsten sehr weiterzuempfehlen.

Essen geschmacklich gut. Personal leider dem Gast gegenüber nicht sehr freundlich. Die junge Dame am Empfang wirkte genervt, kein Lächeln. Da fühlt man sich beim Ankommen leider gar nicht willkommen . Did männliche Bedienung am Tisch war gut. Ich hatte leider den Eindruck: Gast kommt, schnell bestellen, kassieren, Platz für nächsten Gast schaffen. Als angeblich bestes sushi Leipzigs erhoffte ich mir mehr Atmosphäre und Individualität beim Service.

Wir hatten das Glück beim bei der Live Filetierung dabei zu sein und das war sehr eindrucksvoll und die kostenlose Verkostung super lecker. Kann dieses Restaurant guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen und würde immer wieder kommen.

Zunächst, dass Essen hat definitiv eine 10/10 verdient! Super lecker, frisch, mit Liebe angerichtet. Einfach wirklich lecker. Der Service allerdings ist absolut unterirdisch. Wir waren gestern zu 2. dort essen. Bei der Reservierung wurde gefragt was der Anlass sei des Besuchs, wozu ? Am Ende ist jeder Tisch dann doch gleich hergerichtet. Es gab genau einen Kellner, der immer lächelte und freundlich war. Die anderen hatten einfach keinen Bock. Hat man nicht aktiv angesprochen, hätte man keine weiteren Getränke bekommen. Es werden beide Speisekarten mitgenommen, wahrscheinlich hat man sonst nicht genügend. Das Restaurant ist viel zu voll! Umsatz und Gewinn fetzt, aber sobald der Service leidet, macht man was falsch! Komischerweise schmeckten unsere Getränke immer gleich obwohl wir immer verschiedene hatten. Ein Nachbartisch, war super genervt weil sie ihr Essen nicht bekommen haben, ähnliches auch bei einem weiteren Tisch. Man ist gern bereit für Qualität zu warten, aber dort nimmt es irgendwie schon leicht unangenehme Züge an. Naja alles in allem, hätten wir für unsere fast 120€ an einem anderen Ort wahrscheinlich ein angenehmeres Gefühl gehabt. Service macht einfach sooooviel aus! Schade :(

Erstmal wundervoll eingerichtet und es ist am Ende größer als man am Anfang denkt! Die Speisen sind wundervoll angerichtet und alles was wir bisher hatten war super lecker. Die Wantan, das Wagyu und mehrere Sushiplatten. Personal ist sehr nett, manche reden aber recht leise 😅 Am Eingang stehen Auszeichnungen/Urkunden mit japanischer Schrift im Hochformat obwohl es im Querformat sein sollte. Das Check ich nicht. Alle japanischen Zeichen stehen 90° verdreht. Ihr bräuchtet neue Karten. Die sind leicht verklebt, haben hier und da Rechtschreibfehler und Fehler in der Formatierung.

Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio is no longer right. Service was good and the food was tasty, but unfortunately, it wasn't comparable to our previous visits here. 50% higher prices and 30% less service are unjustifiable, even in times of high raw material and labor costs. It's a shame, we won't be back.

The presentation of the individual dishes also looks wonderful. This definitely won't be our last visit here. We were very impressed and surprised.

The welcome is friendly, the service attentive and respectful without being intrusive. You can sense that quality and structure count here. It's no coincidence that the restaurant is almost always fully booked. Anyone wanting to drop in spontaneously after 5 p.m. will need luck or a reservation – this clearly speaks to the popularity and good reputation of the establishment. There were two of us and we ordered various dishes – a selection that impressed with its presentation: subtly coordinated in color, aesthetically arranged, a visual experience. The plates are compositions that capture the eye before the taste follows. But the decisive factor lies in the taste: the sushi itself is fundamentally solid, the ingredients fresh, and the variety extensive. But the temperature of the dishes spoils the overall impression. The rice is noticeably cold, served almost as if it had just been refrigerated – and thus loses the delicacy that actually characterizes sushi. Even the various creams, mayonnaises, and toppings, while visually appealing, offer little differentiation in terms of taste. This makes the preparation seem somewhat uniform—each piece tastes similar instead of developing its own distinctive character. This is a shame, because in terms of craftsmanship and aesthetics, everything would be set for excellence. I say this with sincere respect: Any place that attracts so many guests and puts so much love into presentation and ambiance has the potential to also be among the best in terms of taste. One small step—preparing the rice fresh, lukewarm right before serving—would make all the difference here. That would elevate the cuisine from "good" to "outstanding." Tokoro Sushi Bar Leipzig remains a restaurant that can be recommended—for its ambiance, friendliness, and professional processes. With a little more focus on authentic temperature and fine-tuning the flavors, it could become one of the best sushi spots in Germany.

Today was my second time at the Tokoro Sushi Bar and it was another absolute 10/10 evening, this time with my family. The ambience looks really nice, even if you wouldn't guess that from the outside, but appearances can be deceiving. Both the food and the staff were super delicious and friendly, so if you want to spend a nice, relaxed evening with your loved ones and also want to go out for a delicious meal, this is definitely the right place. If I had the choice to give it more stars, I would definitely do that. For me, the Tokoro Safe is one of my top 3 restaurants and I would go back 😊😊😊

A truly fantastic shop with a beautiful ambiance! The area on Görg-Schuhmann-Straße may seem a bit unassuming at first glance, but that's deceptive. As soon as you enter Tokoro Sushi Bar, you feel like you're in another world. Kudos to the entire team – you're doing a fantastic job! My tip for future guests: It's best to come with an empty stomach so you can enjoy as much of the delicious food as possible.

It's often the case that you look at a menu and don't know what to order, simply because you can't find anything that appeals to you. That's definitely not a problem here. My wife and I naturally ordered way too much. The ambiance is truly wonderful, the service is very attentive, friendly, and extremely courteous. The food tastes absolutely amazing, it's incredibly well presented and plentiful. I hate taking pictures of the food, but here I decided to take one. For us, this is the best Japanese restaurant we've been to so far, and we will definitely come back.

I went to Tokoro with my girlfriend this evening, and it was a perfect experience from start to finish. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our table. Once seated, we were treated not only to excellent service but also to incredibly delicious sushi. The ambiance, thanks to the incredibly beautiful interior, deserves a 5/5 rating. Overall, this restaurant is definitely worth recommending.

My husband took me here today. It was simply fantastic. Super delicious, super friendly staff, and a wonderful atmosphere.

We discovered Tokoro Sushi House through TikTok and decided to give it a try. Our first impression was positive: The service was very friendly, but clearly overwhelmed that evening. The appetizers were truly outstanding and immediately made us want more. However, when it came to the main course – a sushi platter for two – our enthusiasm dwindled considerably. While the quantity was absolutely sufficient, the selection proved to be rather limited: around 90% of the platter consisted of salmon in all possible variations (maki salmon, nigiri salmon, inside-out salmon, crispy salmon). Only two pieces contained other types of fish – one tuna and one halibut. The quality was good overall, but there was a distinct lack of variety. If you're looking for sushi with variety and a broad selection, we think you'd be better off at other sushi restaurants in Leipzig. However, Tokoro might be of interest to serious salmon lovers.
