Friendly staff, fast service and really good sushi!

If you want to eat good sushi in Leipzig then this is the best place, very friendly staff and a clean restaurant. This restaurant brings a little bit of Japan here. We came here because we saw a TikTok and the food immediately spoke to us.

As always, a great experience. Gladly again.

We actually just wanted to have a drink, which is not possible on the Georg Schuhmann unless you are a smoker and prefer pubs and shisha bars. Luckily we found Tokoro. It looked cozy from the outside and was cozy from the inside too. As a courtesy, we also ordered some food in addition to our drinks. Although you couldn't tell us which gin was in the gin and tonic (there wasn't a choice either), the food and drinks were delicious, the service was good and the atmosphere was very cozy

The best sushi there is in Leipzig. And it's also super creatively prepared, the staff give top recommendations of the day's specials and there was even 1 free cocktail at Ladie's Night. What more could you want?

Extremely delicious food, friendly waitresses and overall service. The price is also okay, especially for the quality. Unfortunately the interior is a bit crowded with lots of seats in a small space, but the food is still tasty. We'll be back.

Friends recommended this sushi bar to us, so we had to try it and were absolutely thrilled. We received a very friendly welcome and when we asked the service whether there was a special occasion, we received a welcome glass of champagne. The homemade drinks were not only delicious and refreshing, but also very nicely presented. The sushi plate left no wish unfulfilled, the taste, the temperature and the appearance are unparalleled. The chicken curry was cooked just right and was full of flavors, the rice was super fluffy and fluffy. We can only highly recommend the deep-fried dumplings with apple as a dessert, as any apple strudel looks old. The ambience invites you to sit together for a long time, and there is also a cozy and romantic atmosphere in the winter garden. We can only give our 100% recommendation and will definitely come back.

Unfriendly reception, we were put behind a partition with our small dog and not served or paid attention to for 30 minutes despite repeated eye contact. This review does not refer to the ambience or food, we can only rate the welcome and the ignorance of the waiter with the tattoos on his arm, as the other facets of the restaurant were unfortunately denied to us. The highlight was the waiter's emotionless look through the window as we left. We have been wanting to try this restaurant for months and have been disappointed to such an extent that we don't have a second chance here. The Gosenschenke in Gholis was a very good rescue and alternative to this disappointment.

For me it was the best sushi I've ever eaten... the homemade drinks were an absolute blast. The soups were an absolute blast. The service and the employees are absolutely great and were always friendly. I can only recommend it.

The street-side layout on the busy Georg-Schumann-Straße is hardly worth mentioning and only the car parked in the driveway suggests an inner courtyard, but as soon as you enter, the wonderful ambience of Tokoro opens up. The inner courtyard is unexpectedly spherical and green. With small booths separated by trellises and roses, there is a retreat for small groups and couples who want to have a romantic meal. The range of dishes is large and extremely exciting. I found it very difficult to decide between the many delicious-sounding dishes. The taste was really excellent! Highly recommended and I don't regret coming here sooner.

Excellent sushi, buttery fish, crunchy vegetables (the green asparagus is our favorite) and unbeatably fresh. The presentation of the sushi plates is creative and professional, so that you hardly dare touch the ensemble. The whole thing in a surprisingly cozy and green ambience - the garden in the back yard cannot be seen given its location on the main street. Absolute recommendation.

the food is quite decent. insofar as a restaurant is taken to be mainly about the meal as such, one might recommend the place. the ambiente seems nice enough, if somewhat too 'attemptive' ; however, the service on the day in question was so slow and inattentive, and, in part, hardly all that welcoming upon entry, that the atmosphere necessarily suffered. this might be different on other occasions, or for other customers. the prices seem sonewhat too high, considering that it can hardly be said that one is paying for an all that accommodating setting. even so, the venue does have potential, especially since the kitchen appears to know what it is doing.

Unfortunately, the delivery service has become increasingly poor; last time we waited twice as long as expected and had to make phone calls afterwards. The prices will be drastically increased from 2024, so that the price-performance ratio for the main courses is no longer given.
