Das beste Sushi das ich je in Deutschland gegessen habe. Es war ein Genuss. Dennoch vergebe ich nur 3 Sterne, weil unser Kellner unfreundlich, ruppig und lustlos war - und das hat er uns spüren lassen. Sorry aber das ist ein absolutes No-Go und hat den Gesamteindruck getrübt. Das Ambiente ist elegant, aber z.B. die Karte war schon ziemlich abgenutzt. (04/2026)

Beste Sushi, was ich bis jetzt gegessen habe. Ich hatte mir die Chefs-Empfehlung-Platte bestellt und war sehr begeistert, und die Qualität des Fisches war auch sehr gut. Die Location ist sehr schön und modern, und der Service ist auch sehr nett.

Ein Ort, an dem Geschmack zur Erinnerung wird. Getränke und Speisen waren bis ins Detail perfekt abgestimmt – jeder Bissen und jeder Schluck ein Volltreffer. SHIKI ist kein Restaurantbesuch, sondern ein Erlebnis. ✨

Insgesamt macht das Restaurant einen recht eleganten Eindruck auf mich. Was das Essen angeht, finde ich die Darstellung etwas irreführend: Die Bilder auf der Speisekarte sehen sehr raffiniert aus, doch in Wirklichkeit sehen die Gerichte ganz anders aus – ein ziemlicher Kontrast, der meine Erwartungen enttäuscht hat. Das Essen ist durchschnittlich, nicht besonders authentisch und etwas teuer. Die Kellner sind Vietnamesen, und die Gerichte weisen vietnamesische Einflüsse auf und sind eher süß. Insgesamt lohnt es sich, das Restaurant einmal auszuprobieren, aber ich persönlich werde wohl kein Stammgast werden.

Wir wurden an einen Tisch gesetzt auf dem noch benutzte Gläser standen, die übliche Tischausstattung (Lampe, Sojasoße) fehlten. Geschirr wurde nach der Vorspeise nicht abgeräumt! Oktopus Vorspeise war nicht lecker der Rest (Sushi, Wagyu-Carpaccio) sehr gut! An sich ein sehr schönes Lokal!

Ich war gestern mit Verwandten spontan im Shiki. Wir hatten eine stark geistig eingeschränkte Person im Rollstuhl mit dabei, die sich zu dem Zeitpunkt ruhig verhalten hat. Während wir schnell platziert wurden und Speisekarten erhielten, wurden wir dann nicht weiter bedient. Die Bedienung stand sichtbar auf dem Handy tippend rum und auch sonst wurde uns keine Beachtung geschenkt. Nach 15 Minuten, wo man nicht mal unsere Getränkebestellung aufgenommen hatte, sind wir gegangen. Eine absolut unverschämte Behandlung.

Fein abgestimmte Gerichte, ansprechendes Ambiente und ein freundlicher Service machten den Besuch im Shiki zur wahren Freude.

Grundsätzlich sehr leckeres hochwertiges Essen zu dementsprechenden Preisen. Im Prinzip eine Empfehlung, ich werde aber niemals verstehen wer auf den Gedanken gekommen ist, auf den gegrillten Thunfisch Mangosause zu träufeln.

Ein wunderschönes, modernes und stilvolles Restaurant mit tollem Ambiente. Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Service insgesamt gut. Die mangelnde Sauberkeit hat den Gesamteindruck jedoch stark beeinträchtigt. Auf den Stühlen waren deutliche Flecken zu sehen, insbesondere an den Rückenlehnen, wo sie ständig berührt werden. Die Speisekarte war fettig und voller Fingerabdrücke, das Besteck wirkte leicht schmutzig und eines der Soßenschälchen war nicht richtig gereinigt. Ehrlich gesagt verstehe ich nicht, wie solche grundlegenden Dinge in einem Restaurant dieser Kategorie vernachlässigt werden können. Schade, denn das Restaurant hat echtes Potenzial und könnte eine deutlich höhere Bewertung verdienen, wenn mehr Wert auf Sauberkeit und Details gelegt würde.

Die Speisen sind frisch zubereitet, authentisch und köstlich. Die Präsentation der Gerichte ist kunstvoll und die Atmosphäre ist angenehm und einladend. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Insgesamt ist dieses Restaurant definitiv einen Besuch wert und bietet ein unvergessliches kulinarisches Erlebnis. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Haben den Laden bei einem Ausflug spontan entdeckt. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön und die meisten Kellner sehr freundlich. Als Vorspeise hatten wir die Smoked baby rips und als Hauptspeise Sushi. Die Smoked Baby Ribs waren unglaublich lecker! Das Sushi war im maximun in Ordnung. Generell scheint der Fokus hier auf anderen Hauptspeisen zu liegen.

Hier wird hochwertiges Sushi zubereitet. Und die Speißen sind sehr gut abgeschmeckt. Kostet etwas mehr als gewöhnlich aber man bekommt für sein Geld beste Qualität.

Ich war schon ein paar Mal dort, sowohl alleine als auch mit Freunden. Ich kann den gebratenen Reis mit Gemüse wärmstens empfehlen, besonders als Beilage zu anderen Gerichten (zum Beispiel immer dann, wenn man sonst weißen Reis dazu bestellen würde). Ich weiß nicht, wie sie das machen, aber der gebratene Reis bei Shiki ist der beste, den ich je gegessen habe. Das Curry mit gebratener Ente ist ebenfalls fantastisch. Außerdem habe ich in der Auswahl von über vier Sake-Sorten einen Sake (siehe Foto) entdeckt, der mir sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Wenn ihr also auf der Suche nach einem guten Sake seid, ist Shiki auch eine gute Adresse. Man kann sich entweder für ein preiswertes vegetarisches Gericht mit gebratenem Reis entscheiden oder einen hervorragenden Sake mit fettem Thunfisch genießen.

Kurz gesagt: einfach geil 😍 Essen, Service, Ambiete top. Ist mittlerweile mein Stammlokal wenn ich in Leipzig bin 👌🏼

Die Essenqualität war insgesamt gut. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist durchschnittlich. Die Zubereitung wird nicht klassisch nach japanischer Art umgesetzt. Das Chicken Katsu und die hausgemachte Yuzu Limo waren wirklich sehr lecker. Die benutzte Fischqualität war gut. Der flambierte lachs war leider noch etwas zu roh zubereitet gewesen und ich hätte mir bei dieser Preisklasse auch gewünscht, dass frischer Wasabi direkt in die Sushis integriert wird und dass es bei Chicken Katsu auch Reis dazu gibt. Das Personal sprach untereinander vietnamesisch und nicht japanisch. Für mich weder 4 noch 3 Sterne sondern ziemlich genau bei 3.5.

Freitagabend spontan einen Tisch für zwei ohne Reservierung bekommen – top! Die Gyoza waren die besten, die ich je hatte. Die Tacos wurden zwar zuerst vergessen, aber schnell nachgereicht. Hauptspeisen (Ramen mit Ente & Meeresfrüchte-Curry) waren beide sehr lecker. Auch die Cocktails waren gut gemischt. Insgesamt ein gelungener Besuch – wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das Ambiente des Shiki ist absolut stilvoll und elegant. Wir waren zum Mittagessen hier und sind durch Zufall an dem Restaurant vorbei gekommen. Die Kellner sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist optisch Kunst und geschmacklich ein Gedicht. Für uns waren neue Geschmacksrichtungen dabei. Sowohl die Getränke, wie auch die Hauptgerichte und das Dessert ließen keinerlei Wünsche offen. Absolut verliebt in dieses Restaurant und eine absolute Empfehlung für Liebhaber der asiatischen Küche.

Hallo, Wir waren am 01.04.26 mit vier Personen zu Besuch, laut den ehrlichen Rezensionen haben wir uns viel erhofft was auch für uns alle eine schöne Abwechslung war. Das Essen war und sah sehr lecker aus und geschmeckt hat es auch, man sagt ja: das Auge ist mit. Wir hatten ein wirklich sehr schönen Abend auch ohne Reservierung und ich werde definitiv nochmal hier her kommen. Man könnte den Service leider noch verbessern was die Fragen und das Decken der Tische betrifft aber im Großen und Ganzen habe ich nicht‘s zu meckern besonders schön waren die Toiletten wo Sauberkeit nicht klein geschrieben worden ist. Besonders zu empfehlen habe ich den selbst gemachten Eistee Matcha Mango. 🥭

Schön Atmosphäre, natürlich etwas laut wenn es gut besucht ist. Das Essen ist top. Wir mussten auch gar nicht lange warten bis wir freundlich bedient wurden. Es ist etwas pricy, aber das ist klar, bei der Lage:)

Bestes Sushi, welches wir bisher gegessen haben. Der Fisch ist so zart, dass er auf der Zunge zergeht. Sehr zu empfehlen sind die Platten mit Auswahl des Sushimeisters und die Tacos als Vorspeise. Der Service ist sehr freundlich, das Ambiente modern und optisch ansprechend.

I was very disappointed. When I entered the restaurant, I was greeted with a friendly smile. I politely asked for a free table for three. I was told I could sit wherever I liked. After I had chosen a seat, another employee came and asked me to move, as the side where I was sitting was closed. That was fine; I was happy to change. Although there were other tables available, I moved to the other side. After studying the menu, the short male employee ignored me. He walked past me to take orders from the other two tables, rudely skipping ours. I tried to make eye contact with him, and he looked back but remained indifferent. I waved to get his attention, and he finally did. After a while, another employee came to our table to take our order. However, the short male employee continued to serve several tables, ignoring us in the process. It would have been great if the tip of almost ten euros hadn't gone to him, because it was truly disappointing. The food and the atmosphere in the restaurant were good, but the indifferent attitude of some employees significantly marred the overall impression.

The food, such as the Black and White combination, is sophisticated and tastes very good. However, the service leaves room for improvement, particularly regarding timely order taking and subsequent customer service. Furthermore, the 40-minute preparation time for two people ordering the same dish is very time-consuming.

We had lunch at Shiki today and received friendly and prompt service. The lunch menu offers good value for money. Both the duck in mango sauce and the sushi were delicious and beautifully presented. We'd gladly come back anytime!

A very mixed experience in an otherwise very nice restaurant. The welcome was extremely cold. Despite a confirmed reservation, my name was not found, and I was asked for my email, and I had to show my cell phone as proof, even though there were many free tables. I had the impression they didn't even want us as guests. The same employee answered the question "if there was a restroom there" with a bored nod. At the table, everything was also very mixed. The menus (and especially the chairs!!!) were very dirty, which I wouldn't have expected in a restaurant of this standard and price range. The food was good. However, the prices didn't match the size of the dishes. The waiter at the table was friendly but inattentive, so the glasses remained empty, and we had to call the waiter to pay, even though he was cleaning tables around us. After we forgot something at the table, we went back immediately, but it had already been thrown in the trash after three minutes. They could at least give the guest a few more minutes to retrieve forgotten items... Conclusion: Good, expensive food and poor service. Not recommended. Update 8.2.25: The restaurant's response suggests that "they take care of complaints." I contacted the restaurant by email the same day as requested, and the response so far, after three weeks, has been zero. I don't need to say anything more. Update 21.10.25: Still no response to the restaurant's request to contact them, but I received a message from Google: SHIKI is now attacking my review because it would constitute defamation. For my effort to get this review back online, I'm now only getting one star. Sorry, customer service works better!

This has always been my go-to place in Leipzig! I've been celebrating my birthday there for at least six years and have never been disappointed. It can be a bit loud when it's full, but the high-quality atmosphere always makes up for it. Now, people recognize you every time and always offer you a seat, even if there's nothing available. Love it every time.

Went there twice at different times. Good food and atmosphere, but service was slow. I'd give it three stars if the owners weren't trying to take down my review.

I reserved a table for my partner's birthday and indicated this. We received a friendly welcome, but were only shown to our table based on my request. It was therefore clear that any requests or comments made during the reservation would be ignored. The food was good, and there was hardly anything to complain about. Only the service was barely present. We're both waiters and expect to be asked at least once if everything was okay with the food. That's a minimum level of service. At €120 just for the meal, I expect that. We're both waiters, and even at our burger joint, you'll get better service. Above all, we wish the "birthday girl" all the best and throw in dessert on the house. Unfortunately, not here. I'm not looking for something for free, but rather a small token of appreciation from the restaurant. We won't be coming back.

Very tasty sushi in a stylish setting. The service was very polite and super fast. A small point deducted for the fact that the restaurant was quite crowded and the tables were quite close together. And I found the menu a bit difficult to understand, meaning I couldn't imagine what the food looked like based on the description. Otherwise, great!

A modern, stylish, and high-quality restaurant. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the service was fast despite the restaurant being full. In addition to sushi, the menu also includes many other Asian dishes. We mainly tried the appetizers. The salmon tartare and octopus ceviche were excellently seasoned, and the sashime had a perfect balance of acidity and octopus. Everything was topped with Wagyu foccatia, truly a dream. We'd be happy to come back.

Great service and delicious, fresh food, sexy presentation! 😍 We made the wrong beer and were given a different one. The gentleman serving us really understands hospitality, because that's not something you can take for granted! Of course, we thanked him profusely because it made us a bit uncomfortable 😅 Also, we left a little after the shop closed (the opening hours listed online weren't quite the same as the actual opening hours). They didn't have to serve us any more, but even then, they were very friendly and accommodating. Our dinner turned into a wonderful experience 😍

To get one thing out of the way: The food, when it finally arrived, was okay. Not a culinary highlight, but solid. If it weren't for the service, it might have been good enough for 3 stars. The service that evening, however, was so abysmal that I'd rather give it 0 stars. We waited a whopping two hours for our main course. During that time, the staff consistently ignored us. It really felt like our order had been completely forgotten. Our drinks were already finished when, after what felt like an eternity, the appetizer was finally served. Hoping for a refill was useless—it was simply impossible to get a waiter's attention. Every attempt at eye contact was skillfully avoided. When we finally managed to get someone to come to our table, the interaction was brief and anything but friendly. No smile, no apology for the absurd wait, nothing. We felt like a nuisance, not a guest. Conclusion: Even the best food can't make up for such disastrous and unfriendly service. This was our first visit and definitely our last. Absolutely not a recommendation!

Unfortunately, our visit was a complete disaster. We were "allowed" to order our first drink after about 30 minutes. The appetizers were good. The wait for the main course was almost 1.5 hours. The main courses weren't worth the price at all. The worst thing about the evening, however, was the nonexistent service. A complete disaster. We were there for a test meal, with the intention of possibly hosting a party. Luckily, we'd been here before. Any snack bar has better service! By the way, we only had one drink. Empty glasses were ignored... All in all, not worth a visit! Save your money!

Shiki in Leipzig offers delicious food that impresses with its quality and taste. The dishes are freshly prepared and a visual highlight. The portions are rather small, however, which should be taken into account given the high prices. The service is excellent – ​​fast, polite, and always attentive. You feel well looked after all around. In conclusion: If you value fine cuisine and excellent service, this is the place for you. Minor compromises in the portions and price, but otherwise, it's top-notch!

The food is absolutely fantastic. The drinks are fantastic. The sushi is exceptionally good, and the professionalism is absolutely justified. I've never eaten such good sushi. The only negative thing was the waitresses (male). I wasn't asked if I wanted a drink for over an hour and a half, and my glass was completely empty.

The presentation and taste of the food are good. Unfortunately, the salmon arrived almost raw on the plate. When we complained, the plate was apparently simply put in the microwave, and the salmon was still almost raw. Unbelievable. The amount of mashed potatoes was a small spoonful, but they added some upon request. The glass of wine for €9.50 (a bottle costs €7.50 online) is also outrageous. The plate at the next table arrived cold and was returned. So for the prices they charge for food and wine here, this is completely unacceptable. It's a disgrace. We won't be back.

No matter how many times I've been to Leipzig, it's always a win-win option for a delicious and elegant dinner. Portions are of normal size. Everything is very tasty, fast and beautiful. 100% recommended.

I ordered sushi, it was delicious, but the menu didn't say how much there was, we asked the waiter and he answered incorrectly, they brought us less. Very expensive, some things there are not worth it. The service is terrible, you had to wait, the waiter did not bring one of the dishes that we ordered and brought it only when we noticed it, you had to wait for it for a very long time. The atmosphere is nice, but if you don't want to spend a lot of money on a couple of flies, I don't recommend going here.

SHIKI is a good place – the quality is on point and the service is quite good (especially for Germany). Price-performance is generally fine, though a touch on the high side. Still, overall, it’s a solid spot and worth a visit.

I had a fantastic experience at the Shiki restaurant! The shitake soup with silken tofu was truly delicious, and the udon carbonara with beef was cooked to perfection, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. I was completely impressed by the food. The ambiance is truly chic and cozy—I've rarely dined in such style. If I'm back in Leipzig, I'll definitely be back!

Oh my God, that was good! I think this was the best sushi I've ever eaten in my life. I had a Shiki menu, so I had no idea what to expect. It was simply an explosion of flavor! And the fish was so incredibly tender, and definitely more fish than rice. My cocktail was also delicious. I'm going home completely satisfied! If I lived here (and not just on vacation) AND I were rich, I'd probably come here all the time 😅 I think the prices are completely justified for the quality of the food. Service was appropriately fast and at the same time pleasantly unobtrusive. Highly recommended!
