Very uninspired vegetarian dishes

Fantastic and delicious as always

We went to the Sagrantino to grab a quick bite to eat before visiting the State Opera. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very warm, the wine and food were excellent - we would have loved to stay longer.

A very tasty Lasagnia, late at night in an dimly lit, cosey place. Yummy.

Great service and very good food.

Food and service were decent, but overall way too expensive. €79 for two plates of pasta, two glasses of wine (though they poured well below the 200 ml line on the wineglass) and a bottle of water (for which they charged us a whopping €7.40). I don’t mind paying for good food, but this was simply not worth the cost!

Nydelig mat og god drikke. Menyen er noe liten, men maten smakte fantastisk. Lokalet er lite og intimt. Behagelig stemning, med passe høy musikk. Vennlig personale også. Ville tatt turen innom dersom ekte italiensk mat fristet!

I had a wonderful evening at Sagrantino. The staff was exceptionally trained and kind, always ready to advise and satisfy every request. The owner, with his passion for cooking, made the experience even more pleasant. The dishes were exquisite, prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a romantic dinner or an evening with friends. Absolutely must try!

Service was excellent and the restaurant is cozy. We enjoyed our meal and the wine selection was very good.

Overpriced, tasteless , quite meagre , clam pasta dish 2. We chose the above as the menu was very limited, devoid of any pizza or chicken offerings, both our favourites. With a bottle of sparkling water, the price of both pasta dishes, came to few cents short of a whopping €60! Dined in at lunch on 13/10/24 but certainly will not be returning! Service was quite good, and even tho the pasta was cooked reasonably Al Dente, even a generous sprinkling of Parmesan cheese could not augur the insipid taste of the dish. Would certainly NOT recommend to anybody.

Pasta with clams overpriced and less tasty

One of the few Italian restaurants open near our Hilton Berlin Hotel, so we sought it out. Soo very disappointing. A very limited , overpriced menu , devoid of Pizza and Chicken dishes ( both my favourites )! We both chose the clam pasta dish, as it was the only one that took both our fancy. It was a really tasteless offering , few pieces of tomato throughout mixed with the shell clams. I asked for some Parmesan cheese and despite a generous sprinkling, it did not augur the taste of the dish by much. The bill for both above and a bottle of sparkling water, came to just under €60! Service was good though, fast and friendly and pasta cooked well, though in dire need of some wholesome flavour. Definitely will not be returning to Sagrantino when next in Berlin !

A fantastic atmosphere and very upscale Italian cuisine. From the service to the bar, it's simply a dream. The espresso from Chef Franco himself, if you're lucky, is the best in all of Berlin. Out of all the places in this area, the nicest people who served us and the food was excellent.

Nun kann man ja über den Trend vegetarisch zu speisen denken wie man will. Mancher so, anderer so. Nicht so doll ist allerdings, wenn das bestellte Essen (Pasta mit Rinderstreifen) gar kein Fleisch enthält, obwohl so bestellt. Der Salat mickerig, die Pasta bestenfalls mit einer Fleischsoße, aber eben kein Fleisch. Da 4 Personen das Gleiche bestellt haben, kann es sich nicht um einen "bedauerlichen Einzelfall" handeln. Mir ist nicht klar, wie das Restaurant zu diesen guten Bewertungen kommt. Der Teller ging voll zurück, gefragt hat darob niemand. Bezahlt haben wir EUR 75. Das ist für 4 Personen in der Tegel nicht viel. Für die angebotene Leistung allerdings durchaus. Ich würde nicht mehr hingehen (obwohl mein Büro um die Ecke liegt).

How this Italian has survived for so long can only be explained by tourism. The food is far too expensive considering the portion size and quality. The service is ok, but as is typical for restaurants that want to save taxes at the tax office, you don't get a complete invoice receipt. The food is below average. Conclusion: there are definitely better Italian restaurants!

My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to eat on a typical Berlin Saturday, we wandered into the streets of the area in front of the Brandenburg Gate to find ourselves in front of this splendid place, delicious food, super friendly and kind staff, in particular Angela who followed us throughout the evening and above all recommended food and wines... As an Italian for Italians, you feel at home here!!!!

I travel to Berlin 3 times a year and every time I make sure to visit . Food is always amazing !! Nearly go 2-3 times when I do visit Berlin .. always perfect for lunch or dinner

We ate here twice in a week - lunch and dinner. Each time we came without a reservation and were graciously seated with orders taken quickly. Outdoors was fun for lunch to people watch. Indoors has the feel of a bustling vibrant trattoria with friendly and attentive service. Wine and water glasses were refilled when needed, and wait staff stopped by to ensure our needs were met. Dishes were delicious with fresh ingredients. We regretted trying a competitor one evening and wished we had not. Great experience and tasty dinner. Will go again the next time we are in Berlin.

Had a great time here, the service is excellent! The apps: prosciutto pizza, bruschetta variety and burrata were all very very tasty. The ravioli was just ok. Had a bottle of their namesake wine and it was excellent, very professional wine service.

It is incomprehensible that in a restaurant in this price range the food is presented so carelessly! Simply slapped the lasange onto the plate, the 5 ravioli as the main course for 25€ without any companion (for the price I personally make ten times the amount) - bottom line - NOT recommended - it's a shame, as Berliners we just wanted to experience our city again !

We arrived at 1500 and were recommended Business lunch, tomato soup as a starter and the choice between three alternative main courses. We chose lasagna. Homemade and good. Cost only €12.90 (30.08.24). Pleasant and attentive waiter.

Ondanks dat we geen reservering hadden, konden we toch terecht. Het personeel was vriendelijk en we konden gelukkig buiten zitten. We hebben genoten van een lekker voorafje en daarna prima pasta/risotto! Prima manier om van Italiaans eten te genieten.

Tagliolini alle vongole & Rose Handmade pasta with venus clams in a white wine sauce with a glass of Rose Food: 4/5 The Rose is rounded and smooth. It is harmonious and tastes like all the flavour elements are in perfect balance. The pasta is okay. Yet, its taste is a bit too blend. Service: 5/5 The staffs are really nice and hospitable. They are really polite and caring to your needs. Atmosphere: 4/5 Overall: 4/5

To start we were just looking for a quick quick bite to eat walking out of our hotel with no research done. They were friendly and seated us immediately. Our food came out in about 15 minutes fresh hot and extremely delicious. My son had the roast beef, which is actually a porterhouse with mushrooms and potatoes. Absolutely fantastic. I got the risotto with shrimp and it was piping hot, savory and good shrimp. My wife got one of the best salads we’ve had in a very long time go cheese, fresh greens for all of arrangement and a honey balsamic olive oil dressing that was really incredible. Thank you

During our visit to the Sagrantino in Berlin we spent a wonderful time on the terrace. The atmosphere is pleasant and the location exudes an elegant, yet approachable ambience - perfect for a relaxed afternoon or a cozy evening. We enjoyed a delicious beer and a glass of wine, and we were really pleasantly surprised by the service. Before the wine glass was completely poured, we were allowed to try a sip. This small but thoughtful gesture shows how seriously the staff at Sagrantino takes their wine selection and customer service. The service was friendly and attentive throughout the evening without being intrusive. The staff seems well trained and knows exactly how to pamper their guests. A small downer is that unfortunately they don't offer pizza. This would be a great addition to the already great menu. Sagrantino is still definitely recommended for anyone looking for a stylish place in Berlin to enjoy good drinks and excellent service. We'd love to come back!

Hier fühlen wir uns richtig wohl. Italienischer geht es kaum. Frisches und sehr leckere italienische Hausmannskost. Ein liebenswertes Team eine wunderbare Atmosphäre. Ist mittlerweile Pflichtprogramm bei unseren Besuchen in der Hauptstadt. Die Preise sind für diese Lage sehr fair und angemessen

Rosé wine fantastic as always…. Service was again excellent and happening…… Great atmosphere outside and inside... Only the food left something to be desired for the first time. Your ravioli alla casa suddenly became tortellini with lots of oil/butter sage The truffle spaghetti was swimming in fat/oil That was better, I hope it was just an oversight because there was something new in the kitchen.

As a wine bar is OK. The cheese and ham platers are nice. As a trattoria is not so good. The food list is short and the dishes not so good. The bathroom dirty - I did not use it - and the sitting pillows too. Not a nice memory.

Walking in the vibrant vicinity of the city's orchestra hall, we found an Italian restaurant. We sampled their pasta and lasagna. The quality of the food was commendable, with each bite reflecting the authenticity and care put into its preparation. However, the portions left us yearning for more, as the quantity did not quite satisfy our appetites. This was particularly noticeable given the price point. The staff were kind, respectful, and helpful that resonated well with us. Speaking of ambiance, the internal design contributed to a dining experience that was aesthetically pleasing. In conclusion, while the restaurant hits many high notes with its quality, service, and location, a slight adjustment in portion size and pricing could elevate this establishment to a standing ovation.🍝🎶

Not good value for money, not exceptionally good in taste, but very expensive.

Waited 75 minutes for a plate of pasta. The truffle pasta consisted of pasta tossed in butter with dark crumbs that were supposed to be truffle dust. No truffle taste present. 26 € is a disgrace even in Mitte. Waitress basically friendly, but overwhelmed. Store very crowded, loud and dark. Unfortunately not recommended at all.

I love coming here for lunch. Every day there is a different lunch menu for €11.90. You can choose between salad or soup of the day and a selection of 3 different pasta dishes. I am always served in a friendly manner. The ambience is very lovingly decorated. Card payment is also possible. I would be happy to return.

In an era where customer service is paramount, and in the year 2024 no less, such behavior is not only antiquated but outright disgraceful. Valentine's Day, a celebration of love and togetherness, was marred by this individual's judgmental stance, casting a shadow over what should have been a delightful evening. It's disheartening to witness a single employee potentially jeopardizing the reputation of a business that many hold dear. I am forced to rate this experience as one star, not out of spite, but as a caution to others about the unwelcoming atmosphere fostered by certain members of the staff. I sincerely hope that this feedback serves as a wake-up call for the management to reevaluate the conduct of its employees, ensuring that future patrons do not encounter such unwarranted disdain. Furthermore, it's worth noting the apparent language barrier, which could have been an opportunity for a rich cultural exchange, given my fluency in five languages. Nice lasagna, cozy atmosphere. Not such a big menu, but few and lovely dishes with good ingredients.

The food was in a good level, will come back again

Went here are was close to our hotel and we walked by, decided to book for dinner. Place is cozy, nice setting…. food was decent.. good carpacio, nice bruschetta.. Good pasta with a boar type sauce, OK lasagna.. As others have mentioned, service is unbelievably bad! If anyone was to crack a smile, it may help… now I know Germany is not known for warm and fuzzy, yet our hotel, LUC had incredibly friendly staff. If u want OK Italian, give it a shot, just do not expect any kind of service…..

Very good, traditional Italian restaurant in the centre of town. Service is friendly, quick and efficient. Roasted vegetables with cheese were followed by an absolutely excellent lasagna. Wine and beer very good. Thoroughly recommended.

Kleiner und gemütliche Italiener, sehr warm, aber authentisch. Essen war sehr gut, wo die Pasta als auch die kleinen Calameretti als Vorspeise sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir waren schon öfter hier und haben uns immer sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Essen lecker, tolles Ambiente und der Service hervorragend. Gestern haben wir etwas experimentiert und es hat uns nur teilweise geschmeckt…. Es ist sicherlich Geschmacksache und deshalb nur am Rande erwähnenswert. Auf jeden Fall ist unsere Servicekraft sehr souverän damit umgegangen. Meine Empfehlung Bruschetta, Lasagne, Burrata und alle Desserts 😇.wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Nous avons passé une très bonne soirée entre amis avec de très bons plats italiens, un personnel très à l’écoute et attentionné et nous y sommes retournés la veille de notre départ .

Partendo dal presupposto che sono stati molto efficienti con una gran varietà di posate servite durante la cena, il servizio è stato eccellente! Rapporto qualità prezzo eccezionale. Impressionante l’attenzione ai dettagli anche al momento del dessert con il soufflé servito con una pallina di gelato alla vaniglia rigorosamente a Destara! Ringraziamo Chiara e tutte le ragazze dello staff per la calorosa accoglienza.

Wir hatten eine Vorspeise und jeder ein Hauptgericht. Insgesamt haben wir 2 Stunden in dem Restaurant verbracht. Unser Essen brauchte wirklich lange. Die Vorspeise war super. Das Hauptgericht von meinem Mann, für 35€, war kalt. Er hatte eine Enten Roulade. Dazu gab es dann eine(!!!) Brokkolirose. Mehr Beilagen gab es nicht….. wirklich schade bei den gehobenen Preisen!

Die 26€ pasta konnte meine Kollegin nicht mal zur Hälfte aufessen, aufgrund eines chemischen Beigeschmacks. Mein Gericht war so Unverträglichkeit, dass ich mich in der folgenden Nacht übergeben musste und der letzte von uns hatte eine nach seinen Worten sehr leckere Lasagne, die allerdings komplett zerlaufen serviert wurde und aussah wie schon einmal gegessen. Das Ambiente war allerdings ausgesprochen schön und vielleicht hatten wir an diesem Abend auch Nur Pech - so kann ich aber erst recht in dieser Preisklasse keine Empfehlung geben.

случайно наткнулись на этот ресторанчик, гуляя по Берлину! были ну очень голодные и замерзли, и как же мы были рады такой находке! в ресторане были одни немцы, но чувствовалась итальянская атмосфера)) очень вкусная еда!! персонал говорит на английском, официанты были рады нас встретить, посадить за столик, и рассказать поподробнее про их блюда! также один официант предложил нам взять обеденное меню, что выходило гораздо выгоднее, за что ему огромное спасибо! покушали на славу и погрелись, очень рекомендую!

Toller Italiener am Gendarmenmarkt. Waren Freitags gegen Abend da, mit Tischreservierung. Der Laden füllte sich recht schnell. Der Service super freundlich und nett. Das Essen sehr gut gewürzt und geschmacklich ausgewogen, in einer wirklich guten Qualität. Gerne wieder…
