Alessandro. Please remove the bread and olives! It’s a new sneaky and unnecessary scheme, not a good look for your lovely place. Food and staff are lovely. But you can’t do the old bread and olive trick…

Absolute rip-off! And outrageous! Totally overpriced. Then they served me bread and olives without asking, and in the end, they charged me €4 for it… how can I possibly believe it? I was never asked if I wanted bread and olives; they just brought them! You can't just cash in afterward.

We waited 1.5 hours to get our food, when the pasta came out it was cold. We had to remind the only person working in front of house about our drinks several times. Then we got charged for way too many extra items we did not order such as personal portion of bread, water bottles, olives, etc… we all left this place quite annoyed and drained after almost 4 hours of waiting around and running after the waiter while trying to still have a good experience. It’s a shame cause the food that actually came out warm was nice, but this place needs to improve the front of house service, it is way too overpriced to give people such a terrible experience.

I went with a large group to celebrate a really important occasion. I normally don’t like doing this, but last night was truly overwhelming. We waited a very long time for our main dishes, and the only person working in service kept forgetting our drinks — even though the restaurant wasn’t full. Our tortellini came out cold, and at the end, although we had specifically asked to split the bill , the last people to pay ended up being charged for more than what they had consumed. I also work as a waitress, so I understand how challenging it can be to serve large tables, especially when the place is packed — but that wasn’t the case here. This is a pricey restaurant, so we expected the quality of the service to match the quality of the food. It’s a shame, because this used to be my go-to place for special occasions, but after last night, I don’t think I’ll return. The chef was very kind and tried to make up for the bad experience, but overall, it was really unpleasant. I wanted to celebrate and end up getting stressed with all the waiting and fixing mistakes from the service . Arrived at 8:30 and left at midnight .

Come and experience a true Italian osteria. Nothing more to add. 👏👏👏

First, they made us wait outside for what felt like an eternity, while we could see them through the window, doing something loud at the bar. The food was meager, the focaccia fresh from the fridge. And the service, of course, was in a bad mood, to say the least. No, given the prices—even in Berlin—you'd expect a bit more.

Well, very Italian. The aperitivo was really great and the ingredients were high-quality. We just had to wait a full hour and a half for the next course. The cotoletta was very authentic, but also a bit lacking in love. The risotto was interesting in terms of flavor, but a bit too al dente, even for Italians. €14 for water? €20 for a white wine? In Berlin? In short: The value for money isn't that great, and the chef's brief appearance doesn't make up for it. I'd go for an aperitif... but not for dinner.

Very nice alternative restaurant with very good wines and authentic food. Lavish starter plate, delicious meat dishes and an absolutely divine nut cake with aromatic hazelnuts and a perfect zabaglione.

The owner was incredibly attentive and friendly — he came by to chat with us and make sure everything was just right. Our waitress was also incredibly charming and helpful, making the whole evening feel special. If you’re looking for authentic Italian food, great atmosphere, and genuine hospitality — go here. Really good, authentic Italian food. Went there with some Italian friends and everyone was very happy. The service was nice, but had first forgotten to bring the aperitif and then at the end a dessert only came after asking twice and after the bill. All in all, the ambience and the service were very pleasant and I think the price is right too.

Apparently the owner or manager treated me badly. It seemed to bother him that I was trying to order something in his restaurant. He took my order and never brought it to my table. I left the place practically as if I had never been there. His attention is selective...

Very unfriendly employee. The music was too loud (for such a cozy restaurant) and I asked politely if the music could be turned down a bit and I got a cheeky answer that when you go somewhere you're not allowed to say what the music is others have to do. He completely turned off the music and at first I thought it was a joke. I said again that he was welcome to turn on the music, but only a little quietly, but then he was totally rude again and said, didn't you get what you wanted?!? Then he was rude again and loudly gossiped about us in Italian (good thing I know Italian). Of course we left. Very very rude and not recommended. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Original review: I'm sure they're hand making their pasta and using really good ingredients. The food is good. It's just not that special. And for this price you can get high quality ingredients AND interesting dishes. It all sort of felt like something I could make at home. The charcuterie was good, but that's not really something they cook there… just well sourced and delicious ingredients. But still, it was good! The rest of the food was pretty good but nothing special. And at 20€ for a plate of pasta, I expected better. The service was very nice but also pretty bad. I got the 30€ menu that came with two glasses of wine. The two glasses were served at the same time (and I already had a cocktail). We were so confused about who the glasses were for, someone else at the table drank one of the glasses and so when I expected my next glass she said she already had served it. Really confusing, never heard of anyone getting two glasses of wine at once… why? Also one person at our table got a glass of water while waiting for the rest of the group to show up and we were charged 7€ for a bottle of water. Besides it being wrong, who charges 7€ for a bottle of water…? They gave us the 7€ back after we noticed it. Honestly the place isn't bad but it's not great. I'd skip it.

The food and ambiance were excellent, and our server was delightful, helping us to understand the menu through combined Italian/English and German and making great food and wine recommendations. We also loved the musical playlist (early 60’s American soul on this evening ). Overall we had a great time and highly recommend this great spot.

The food tastes great. The prices are reasonable for the quality! The service was inconsistent on our evening, with one waitress appearing friendly, another a bit condescending and another a bit insecure. However, there were many other regulars who warmly greeted the service staff and a few lost tourists and people from the outskirts who wanted to try something out. So, the food is great and everything else obviously leans toward extroverted authenticity. A space for people who like exactly that. Small addendum: We weren't there to look at the unsafe service, but to eat.

Wir waren mit Verwandten meine Frau am Sonntag zum Essen bei Sippi. Ein uriges Lokal mit Top Speisen! Der mittelgroße Vorspeisenteller macht 4 Personen schon alleine fast satt. Dann noch 2 verschiedene Nudelgerichte zum Teilen und einmal Fleisch. Alles perfekt zu bereitet. Dazu sehr gute Weine. Die Bedienung Eloise und Barbara haben alles perfekt organisiert. Alles in allem ein super Abend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ein großartiges, italienisches Restaurant mit super Service und hervorragendem Essen. Wer hier Pizza und Standard sucht ist fehl am Platz. Die Osteria Sippi überzeugt durch eine sehr ausgewählte, gelungene und nicht überladene Speisekarte. Das Essen schmeckt großartig und die passenden Weine gibt es auch dazu. Wir haben uns bezüglich der Weine beraten lassen und durften vorher natürlich auch probieren. Die Empfehlungen haben hervorragend gepasst und trotz vollem Lokal wusste die Bedienung noch was unsere vorherigen Vorlieben war und hat wieder den richtigen Geschmack getroffen. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und freuen uns einen so schönen Abend gehabt zu haben. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Kleiner Tip noch an andere Gäste, da ich das hier in den weiteren Rezessionen gelesen hatte, nehmt nicht immer die gemischte Vorspeisenplatte...probiert einfach mal den Rest der Vorspeisen und teilt sie euch... unglaublich lecker und nicht zu verpassen.

Italienischer, netter Service. Bei den Gerichten gibt es keine große - aber genug Auswahl. Die Portionen sind für den Preis eher klein. Die Vorspeisenplatte wiederum ist sehr sehr lecker und die große Größe kann 4 Personen satt machen.

Outrageous & disappointing! The chef must’ve changed since I last came by. The first 2 times were amazing, the wine the pasta, the risotto Milanese and very kind waiter but Monday I took my partner and it was a disaster!! The carpaccio and the main dish (we wanted to share the fish) was tasteless on top of this I stipulated that I have a very SEVERE NUT ALLERGY and when the fish arrived, the vegetables under it was full of pine nuts!!! I am outraged by the lack of professionalism and the almost fatale mistake from the staff… Allergies are to be taken seriously !

Schönes Restaurant mit leicht alternativem Flair. Hier hat man Menschen die ihre Arbeit und ihr Essen lieben. Frische, hochwertige Zutaten werden liebevoll zubereitet. Essen ist sehr gut. Service cool, persönlich und authentisch. Wenn ich die Wohnung bekomme, dann sind wir Nachbarn und ich komme wieder und wieder und wieder ;-) Danke für den Abend!

This is an incredible place. They have a very exhaustive, excellent to the taste and affordable wine list. The food is always great; the menu changes quite regularly. The atmosphere is also very nice and the waiters are lovely. This is great value for money - mains are usually between 15€ to 30€ which is unbeatable for the quality of the ingredients and the quality of the service. One of my favorite places and go-to restaurants for a nice atmosphere, good food and reasonable prices.

We often come to this restaurant especially for the cold cuts and cheese mix antipasto. The products are of excellent Italian quality and the wine selection is amazing! The first and second courses are also very tasty. Pasta is obviously handmade. The vibe is always positive and the team and owner super helpful and very nice! Thanks guys!

Yeah no. Super rude service. The woman who served us seemed so annoyed at everybody and everything. We were not the only guests puzzled by this palpable hostility. It ruined a b-day dining experience we were looking forward to. The food was hit and miss. Some was good, some wasn’t. Wine was really good.

Vorweg: Das Essen ist durchaus lecker. Warum nur 3 Sterne? Wir waren heute (Sa!) 18:30 die ersten im Restaurant. Trotzdem haben wir geschlagene 1:20 auf unser Essen gewartet. Die Karte ist sehr (also zu) kurz, Bier gibt es gar nicht, wer nach einem Löffel für seine Pasta fragt wird angeraut. Zu allem Überfluss sind die Preise sehr hoch und der Service sichtlich permanent überfordert. Auf sachliche Kritik reagierte der Eigentümer sehr unangemessen. All das kenne ich so nicht aus Italien. Da es in Berlin eine sehr große Anzahl guter italienischer Restaurants gibt, hat Sippi meiner Meinung nach einen schweren Stand mit dem (An)Gebotenen. Scusi, aber wir kommen nicht wieder.

Such a nice Italian restaurant. The food is super good, a large choice of wine and the people working there are really nice. Inside or outside I always have a nice time in this restaurant.

Overrated and overpriced. For the quality and taste, I don’t think the pricing is justified. Also, service could be far better, the head waiter was rude and impatient.

This is one of my favourites in the higher end of restaurants in Neukölln. Fantastic authentic Italian food served with good humour and some amazing wines to choose between. If You are a temporary visitor You will be surrounded by locals when You eat here. Make sure to reserve a table!
