Good food and good wine! That shouldn't be more!

Apparently the owner or manager treated me badly. It seemed to bother him that I was trying to order something in his restaurant. He took my order and never brought it to my table. I left the place practically as if I had never been there. His attention is selective...

Very unfriendly employee. The music was too loud (for such a cozy restaurant) and I asked politely if the music could be turned down a bit and I got a cheeky answer that when you go somewhere you're not allowed to say what the music is others have to do. He completely turned off the music and at first I thought it was a joke. I said again that he was welcome to turn on the music, but only a little quietly, but then he was totally rude again and said, didn't you get what you wanted?!? Then he was rude again and loudly gossiped about us in Italian (good thing I know Italian). Of course we left. Very very rude and not recommended. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Guests of the taste police: cappuccinos are not served here in the evening and beer sales have also been stopped. Here guests are protected from themselves!

Update: The owner desperately attempted to insult me after my relatively neutral review. Get a life dude. 🥱 Updated to a one star because the owner clearly deserves it. Don’t go here. Original review: I'm sure they're hand making their pasta and using really good ingredients. The food is good. It's just not that special. And for this price you can get high quality ingredients AND interesting dishes. It all sort of felt like something I could make at home. The charcuterie was good, but that's not really something they cook there… just well sourced and delicious ingredients. But still, it was good! The rest of the food was pretty good but nothing special. And at 20€ for a plate of pasta, I expected better. The service was very nice but also pretty bad. I got the 30€ menu that came with two glasses of wine. The two glasses were served at the same time (and I already had a cocktail). We were so confused about who the glasses were for, someone else at the table drank one of the glasses and so when I expected my next glass she said she already had served it. Really confusing, never heard of anyone getting two glasses of wine at once… why? Also one person at our table got a glass of water while waiting for the rest of the group to show up and we were charged 7€ for a bottle of water. Besides it being wrong, who charges 7€ for a bottle of water…? They gave us the 7€ back after we noticed it. Honestly the place isn't bad but it's not great. I'd skip it.

The food and ambiance were excellent, and our server was delightful, helping us to understand the menu through combined Italian/English and German and making great food and wine recommendations. We also loved the musical playlist (early 60’s American soul on this evening ). Overall we had a great time and highly recommend this great spot.

Authentic Tuscan cuisine for which you have to be willing to take some time. Freshly cooked and high quality, friendly service and a diverse wine selection. This makes every visit something special.

The food tastes great. The prices are reasonable for the quality! The service was inconsistent on our evening, with one waitress appearing friendly, another a bit condescending and another a bit insecure. However, there were many other regulars who warmly greeted the service staff and a few lost tourists and people from the outskirts who wanted to try something out. So, the food is great and everything else obviously leans toward extroverted authenticity. A space for people who like exactly that. Small addendum: We weren't there to look at the unsafe service, but to eat.

Wir waren mit Verwandten meine Frau am Sonntag zum Essen bei Sippi. Ein uriges Lokal mit Top Speisen! Der mittelgroße Vorspeisenteller macht 4 Personen schon alleine fast satt. Dann noch 2 verschiedene Nudelgerichte zum Teilen und einmal Fleisch. Alles perfekt zu bereitet. Dazu sehr gute Weine. Die Bedienung Eloise und Barbara haben alles perfekt organisiert. Alles in allem ein super Abend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ein großartiges, italienisches Restaurant mit super Service und hervorragendem Essen. Wer hier Pizza und Standard sucht ist fehl am Platz. Die Osteria Sippi überzeugt durch eine sehr ausgewählte, gelungene und nicht überladene Speisekarte. Das Essen schmeckt großartig und die passenden Weine gibt es auch dazu. Wir haben uns bezüglich der Weine beraten lassen und durften vorher natürlich auch probieren. Die Empfehlungen haben hervorragend gepasst und trotz vollem Lokal wusste die Bedienung noch was unsere vorherigen Vorlieben war und hat wieder den richtigen Geschmack getroffen. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und freuen uns einen so schönen Abend gehabt zu haben. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Kleiner Tip noch an andere Gäste, da ich das hier in den weiteren Rezessionen gelesen hatte, nehmt nicht immer die gemischte Vorspeisenplatte...probiert einfach mal den Rest der Vorspeisen und teilt sie euch... unglaublich lecker und nicht zu verpassen.

Outrageous & disappointing! The chef must’ve changed since I last came by. The first 2 times were amazing, the wine the pasta, the risotto Milanese and very kind waiter but Monday I took my partner and it was a disaster!! The carpaccio and the main dish (we wanted to share the fish) was tasteless on top of this I stipulated that I have a very SEVERE NUT ALLERGY and when the fish arrived, the vegetables under it was full of pine nuts!!! I am outraged by the lack of professionalism and the almost fatale mistake from the staff… Allergies are to be taken seriously !

Schönes Restaurant mit leicht alternativem Flair. Hier hat man Menschen die ihre Arbeit und ihr Essen lieben. Frische, hochwertige Zutaten werden liebevoll zubereitet. Essen ist sehr gut. Service cool, persönlich und authentisch. Wenn ich die Wohnung bekomme, dann sind wir Nachbarn und ich komme wieder und wieder und wieder ;-) Danke für den Abend!

This is an incredible place. They have a very exhaustive, excellent to the taste and affordable wine list. The food is always great; the menu changes quite regularly. The atmosphere is also very nice and the waiters are lovely. This is great value for money - mains are usually between 15€ to 30€ which is unbeatable for the quality of the ingredients and the quality of the service. One of my favorite places and go-to restaurants for a nice atmosphere, good food and reasonable prices.

We often come to this restaurant especially for the cold cuts and cheese mix antipasto. The products are of excellent Italian quality and the wine selection is amazing! The first and second courses are also very tasty. Pasta is obviously handmade. The vibe is always positive and the team and owner super helpful and very nice! Thanks guys!

Vorweg: Das Essen ist durchaus lecker. Warum nur 3 Sterne? Wir waren heute (Sa!) 18:30 die ersten im Restaurant. Trotzdem haben wir geschlagene 1:20 auf unser Essen gewartet. Die Karte ist sehr (also zu) kurz, Bier gibt es gar nicht, wer nach einem Löffel für seine Pasta fragt wird angeraut. Zu allem Überfluss sind die Preise sehr hoch und der Service sichtlich permanent überfordert. Auf sachliche Kritik reagierte der Eigentümer sehr unangemessen. All das kenne ich so nicht aus Italien. Da es in Berlin eine sehr große Anzahl guter italienischer Restaurants gibt, hat Sippi meiner Meinung nach einen schweren Stand mit dem (An)Gebotenen. Scusi, aber wir kommen nicht wieder.

Such a nice Italian restaurant. The food is super good, a large choice of wine and the people working there are really nice. Inside or outside I always have a nice time in this restaurant.

Overrated and overpriced. For the quality and taste, I don’t think the pricing is justified. Also, service could be far better, the head waiter was rude and impatient.

This is one of my favourites in the higher end of restaurants in Neukölln. Fantastic authentic Italian food served with good humour and some amazing wines to choose between. If You are a temporary visitor You will be surrounded by locals when You eat here. Make sure to reserve a table!

One of the best Italian restaurant in Kreuzkölln. I am Italian and i am also a restaurant owner and i know my fair share. We ate trippa alla Parmigiana and lamb in red wine sauce and everything was SPOT ON. Thank you very much for the hospitality.

Se vivi a Berlino, non hai una famiglia che ti mandi i famosi pacchi da giù, non hai mai imparato a farti la tua pasta preferita in casa e soprattutto sei disposto a pagare un prezzo stellare per farti passare la nostalgia del Belpaese, questo è il posto che fa per te. 500 euro in 9 per un primo a testa, un antipasto e mezzo da dividere, 4 bottiglie di rosso (le più abbordabili), qualche aperitivo, un paio di amari, un paio di dolci. A questa cifra erano stati erroneamente aggiunte 2 bottiglie d' acqua, prontamente depennate. Un errore ci può stare, ma è più accettabile quando l'acqua costa 3 euro, non 6. Menù disordinato senza distinzione tra primi e secondi. Questi ultimi, quasi del tutto assenti, lasciano spazio alla pasta fresca tipica della tradizione regionale del/dei gestore/i. La carta dei vini è ampia, amplissima, scritta a penna e con prezzi che arrivano oltre i 300 euro senza scendere sotto i 30, con ricarichi che si aggirano sul 200%. Le prime due bottiglie ci sono state portate al tavolo già aperte e, no, non si fa, neanche se il tuo locale si finge un'osteria. Non si fa se pretendi anche di vendere bottiglie di Barolo e Barbaresco a 350 euro. I vini naturali, triste trend del decennio, sono fortemente presenti (fortemente per i miei gusti, si intende) e non vengono segnalati: questa la ritengo una scorrettezza nei confronti di chi, come me, ama il vino ma non le filosofie magico-decresciste di una certa enologia. Ho avuto modo di farlo notare all'esuberante proprietario, non era ovviamente d'accordo e va bene così. Il mio piatto, dei tortelli alla zucca a 18 euro, era davvero ben eseguito e per questo sono ancora indeciso se mettere due o tre stelle. Abbiamo diviso un antipasto grande (lol) e uno piccolo composti da qualche salume, qualche pezzo di formaggio, un paio di verdure grigliate, una piadina divisa in (pochi) spicchi. Qualità da supermercato di fascia media a un prezzo iper galattico. Solo il comprensibile bisogno di recuperare risorse finanziarie dopo i vari lockdown può giustificare il conto finale. Non la qualità, non la quantità, non la distanza da "casa". Morale: io vivo a Berlino, ricevo pacchi da casa e so fare la pasta fatta in casa. Non ho neanche tanta nostalgia. Per questo, alla fine, di stelle ne metto due.

Scrivo di nuovo solo per rispondere al gentile gestore che ha replicato alla mia recensione. Se va contro il regolamento siete liberi di segnalarla. Caro gestore, premesso che sono 55 euro a testa, e non 50 (5 euro a testa in meno per 9 persone credo che avrebbero fatto la differenza, per voi), più le sostanziose mance che abbiamo civilmente lasciato, il conto non era la somma di "primi, secondi, antipasti ecc". Abbiamo preso UN primo a testa, visto che i secondi erano praticamente assenti quella sera, e abbiamo diviso UN antipasto grande (definito tale solo da voi) e UNO piccolo in 9. Non tutti hanno preso aperitivi e amari, e ricordo solo 2 dolci. Siamo quindi ben lontani dal luculliano pasto che tenti di descrivere. A proposito del vino: ho evitato semplicemente, interrompendo il tuo appassionato racconto, di farti aprire inutilmente due bottiglie, visto che sembra essere una consuetudine portare il vino aperto a tavola. Ti ho educatamente interrotto, me ne sono anche scusato, immagino che a te piaccia intrattenere i clienti (meglio quelli che son d'accordo con te), ma a me davvero le fiabe sul vino magico non interessano. Per concludere: io mangio fuori tutti i weekend, anche se a te, comprensibilmente, chi critica il fatto di dover pagare 55 euro per un primo, 2 fette di salumi e 2 bicchieri di vino, sembra un povero servo della gleba abituato a nutrirsi di pane nero. E sono davvero pochi i ristoranti in città che possono permettersi di avere quei i prezzi. Il vostro locale a mio parere non è fra quelli. Ma avete il vostro seguito, te ne do atto, e l'italianità si vende sempre bene. Soprattutto con le chiacchiere. Buon lavoro.

A lot of negative reviews are related to their choice to opt for 2G regulation (From people who are responsible for restaurant being forced to close every winter).

Lovely Italian Osteria run by Italians, offering specialties from all Italy. The atmosphere is cozy, the service is amazing and polite (maybe a bit under staffed for a Friday night). The mixed antipasto with piadina, cold cuts and cheese is recommended as a starter. As main courses they offer typical dishes from Italy (not so easy to find in Berlin) such as Trippa alla Fiorentina, Baccalà (codfish) with Polenta, Passatelli in broth, Risotto and much more. Large selection of wines - ask recommendations to the waiter, he’ll knows a lot about wines and he will suggest a good wine. Pricey, but worth it.

Overall not a good experience. The food was good, but not good enough to warrant what they charge for it. The pasta was overcooked. There are other Italian restaurants in Berlin that either have the same quality food for a lower price, or much higher quality food at the same price. The wine selection is good, but I also ordered a Negroni and it was the worst one I’ve had in Berlin, so stay away from the cocktails. Our server continually forgot drinks we ordered, or left us waiting for 15 minutes. The server also made me, as a woman, feel incredibly uncomfortable. I wish I could go into more details, but under German law I can unfortunately get into trouble for publicly saying what our server did to me. I do not recommend this restaurant for ladies especially. After the food and drinks I was going to leave 2 stars, but after the way I felt from my interactions with the server I wish I could give it less than 1.

2G....Euer Ernst??? Ihr grenzt Menschen aus, die es geschafft haben, 20 Monate lang in der "größten Pandemie aller Zeiten" gesund zu bleiben! Denkt nochmal darüber nach, was Ihr da tut. Denn es wird eine Zeit nach Corona geben, in der wir uns auf jeden Fall NICHT wiedersehen!

Warum muss man mit 2G Spaltungspropaganda eigentlich immer noch weitermachen? Haben wir nichts gelernt aus der Geschichte. Das soll Solidarität sein? Deshalb nur 2 Sterne. Sowas hat in einer echt solidarischen Gesellschaft kein Platz!
