Wie waren etwas skeptisch am eingangsbereich zum Restaurant. Wurden aber von einem aufmerksamen Service und einem leckeren Essen überrascht. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hingehen.

Das Essen war super lecker. Vermutlich das beste indische Essen das wir je hatten. Der Service war mega freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Habe über Lieferando bestellt und ans Hotel liefern lassen. Sehr schneller Service.Große Portionen, schön heiß angekommen, sehr freundlicher Fahrer, Essen war mega gut

Super Inder! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Bei der Bestellung wurden wir gefragt, wie scharf wir unser Essen möchten – und das milde Gericht war tatsächlich angenehm mild. Das Ambiente ist etwas außergewöhnlich, mit viel Dekoration und allerlei Details, was auf den ersten Blick vielleicht ungewohnt wirkt. Davon sollte man sich aber keinesfalls abschrecken lassen, denn das Essen ist einfach mega lecker. Klare Empfehlung!

Hervorragend! Hier wird mit Leidenschaft und Herz gekocht und serviert. Ich gehe hier wirklich sehr gerne essen und freue mich jedes Mal über Besuch.

Ein absolutes Highlight! Das Essen war authentisch und unglaublich lecker – man schmeckt die guten Zutaten in jedem Bissen. Was den Besuch aber wirklich besonders gemacht hat, war der extrem freundliche und aufmerksame Service. Man fühlt sich hier nicht nur als Kunde, sondern als Gast bei Freunden. Wir kommen definitiv wieder! Namaste !!!

Service war top, aber das Essen hat nach Fertigsoße geschmeckt. Es wurde ca. 8-10min nach Bestellung an den Tisch gebracht. Ich bezweifle, dass hier frisch gekocht wurde. Wir haben für zwei Personen und zwei Kinder 80€ gezahlt.

Seitdem die Preise merklich angezogen haben, aber leider unser Einkommen nicht, können/wollen wir dort nicht mehr essen. Die Gerichte sind geschmacklich hervorragend.

Mit Abstand der beste Inder in der ganzen Region! Wir waren heute mit der ganzen Familie im Safran in Ruhpolding und sind absolut begeistert. Schon beim Reinkommen wurden wir ultra freundlich und herzlich empfangen – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Zum Essen kann ich nur sagen: Wow! Wir haben schon oft indisch gegessen, aber das hier ist mit Abstand das beste indische Essen, das man hier weit und breit finden kann. Alles schmeckte unglaublich frisch, authentisch und fein abgeschmeckt. Die Preise sind zwar etwas höher als bei durchschnittlichen indischen Restaurants, aber für diese Qualität und den Service zahlt man das gerne. Jeder Cent lohnt sich hier. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Sehr freundlicher Service und authentisches indisches Ambiente. Die Gerichte sind geschmacklich hervorragend und die Auswahl ist groß. Allerdings liegen die Preise deutlich über dem Niveau anderer indischer Restaurants – selbst in größeren, touristischen Städten. Für uns stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis daher leider nicht.

Ich liebe die Küche im Safran! Absolut autentisch und doch auch für den europäischen Gaumen ein Genuss. Sehr nette Bedienung. Wäre das Restaurant nicht am anderen Ende der Republik wäre ich hier Stammgast. So aber ist es eines der Highlights wenn ich in der Region zu besuch bin.

We went there on a Saturday night and immediately agreed that this was the best Indian restaurant we've ever eaten at; it was fantastic! The owner was extremely friendly and accommodating, and the decor made us feel like we were in another world, so authentic and cozy ✨🪷 🔮

We've already been there twice for dinner, and it was fine. This Saturday evening, we wanted to eat with the Schlemmerblock (formerly the voucher book). Although there were two tables available, we were told that there was no room for Schlemmerblock guests that day. We left because we couldn't accept such behavior that was clearly more profit-oriented than hospitable. We are very disappointed and will definitely not be coming back! The restaurant's response is incorrect! There were two tables available (not reserved!), and one was assigned to us. We were already seated at our table, and only then were we told that the voucher book wouldn't be accepted today! It is by no means mandatory to make a reservation in advance (... if possible), and you don't even have to state that you're coming with the voucher book. We find it incomprehensible to alienate guests who have already been there several times for around €15. We will recommend other restaurants to our vacation guests in the future.

I had the chicken dhal. Super delicious, it had layers of spices and herbs working well together, easily one of the best Indian dishes I've tasted. The portion is generous. Price-performance is top.

Unfortunately, it was rather disappointing. I ordered "Chili Frezi": I'd never eaten anything comparable at an Indian restaurant, nor could I find anything comparable on Google, but due to a lack of other vegetarian dishes that I liked, I had to go with it. It was extremely spicy. Even though I can tolerate spicy food well and didn't have any problems with the heat during my vacation in India, it was almost inedible for me here. It also didn't remind me of Indian food, but more of Chinese: The sauce was very thin and, in addition to being extremely spicy, quite sweet. All in all, I was unfortunately quite disappointed, especially for the high price.

A very large selection of dishes, with a generally good selection of vegan dishes and the option to get vegan versions of other dishes. The range of spice levels is very good, and "spicy" here actually means "spicy." Indian-style spicy is also possible. The service is extremely friendly and attentive to ensuring guests have everything they need. Asking if everything is okay shortly after the food is served is obligatory, but always without being intrusive. The contact always seems genuine, and guests are happy about the positive feedback. Only the balcony isn't perfect due to its location directly on the street, which is why this restaurant is rated 4 stars. The street is quiet, and it's a comfortable and quiet place to sit; the only thing missing is the greenery directly surrounding it. The view of the mountains, however, is wonderful. The prices are average compared to other restaurants. The food and homemade drinks, however, are above average.

Coming to Germany as a vegetarian that doesn't like cheese, I knew I wouldn't have much success with the food. Finding this restaurant was a lovely surprise. The food was incredibly flavorful, some of the nicest I've had. The service was friendly and welcoming and we had a lovely time.

There's no better way to represent Indian cuisine in Europe. Serving such freshness with perfectly balanced, aromatic dishes is à la bonne heure

We ordered pizza without cheese. We got pizza with only mozzarella. When we asked, we were told it only had mozzarella on it, no cheese. But we were then offered a new one. The Indian food wasn't bad.

After a road trip to Slovenia in July 2024, we stopped here and stumbled upon this restaurant. It's the best Indian restaurant I've ever eaten at. It was delicious 🌞

An exotic restaurant with very friendly service. Prices are touristy, the food is above average, but not exceptional compared to Indian restaurants in a big city. Stay away from the salads; unfortunately, you can't get them; the rest is good!

We stayed in Ruhpolding for four days and went to this excellent Indian restaurant twice for dinner. Or to put it differently: I had the most delicious Indian food of my life. Add to that the friendly staff, and now you know where to go :)

I had dinner at this Indian restaurant and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The food lacked flavor and freshness — some dishes even arrived cold. The atmosphere was also uncomfortable, with poor ventilation and no real ambiance. Overall, not a place I’d recommend if you’re looking for authentic Indian cuisine or a pleasant dining environment.

Wow! We were met with open arms and god the best indian food at Safran Indisches in Ruhpolding! The food were amazing, and I would recommend this resturant to everyone!

Very delicious food (I had the paneer mix plate) and a mango lassi like I'd never tasted before. Fresh and, I think, flavored with rose water. The service was very good, but the ambiance was a bit too kitsch for my taste.

For me, one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever visited. Highly recommended.

The food was very good. I mean, we're not talking about London here, but Ruhpolding. So if you're looking for an exotic change, this is the place to go. The server was also really attentive and nice.

Very friendly service. Unfortunately, the ambiance isn't that great. This is less due to the decor than to the smell of mothballs. So we decided to eat on the balcony instead, since it's flexible 😜 The food was "contradictory." The mixed grill plate was impressive for its variety of flavors, but wasn't very attractive, as it was a mixed bag on a board wrapped in aluminum foil... oh well 😬 The second dish, crispy duck in mango sauce, was more visually appealing but unfortunately far from crispy 🙄 Again, everything was served on a wrapped wooden board and without a hot plate.

Heerlijk gegeten. Smaakexplosies in de juiste mate. Een genot voor lichaam, geest en ziel. Een overzichtelijke duidelijke kaart voor de juiste weg. Voor ieder wat wils. Werkelijk genoten. Bediening was heel aardig. Entourage was fleurig en bijzonder.

FAVORITE INDIANS! We love this place and go there regularly. The boss is very friendly and accommodating. You immediately feel welcome. The dishes are very well seasoned and you can order your food with the desired level of spiciness. The boss is happy to advise here too. The portions are sufficient. It's rather cool in the restaurant. If you get cold easily, you should dress warmer (blankets would be available).

We ended up here spontaneously on vacation and have rarely had better Indian food! Super nice waiter and authentic food! PS: treat yourself to the garlic naan! :)

We went to Safran two evenings in a row during our vacation. Very tasty food and very friendly service. The selection is very large and requests are catered for. For dessert there was always a small mango cream on top. If we are in the area again, we will definitely come back!

They have the best Indian food available

We came here spontaneously for lunch and it was delicious. The food is very authentic, the waiter explained all the dishes to us again and the restaurant looks really cute. We would like to come back if we are in the area again.
