Excellent, very tasty food! We couldn't decide and chose a special menu, a bit of everything... Incredibly good, from soup to bedside! The boss was personable and friendly, no waiting time, we felt very comfortable and will definitely come back. Absolute recommendation if you are open to new things!

Absolutely delicious and authentic Indian food a la Haryana style (1st day: Chicken Tikka Masala; 2nd day: Butter Chicken) combined with a nicely elevated terrace to sit outside (away from traffic); and all for an acceptable price (especially compared with Switzerland) … Loved it (again) …

The restaurant is on the 2nd floor and therefore not wheelchair accessible. The pub at the bottom entrance is a bit intimidating, but then the entire restaurant with the balcony above is very nice and decorated in an Indian style. The waiters were extremely friendly and asked several times whether we had any further requests etc. The selection of dishes is large, there are also vegetarian and vegan options and they have also made the dishes milder upon request. The food tasted very good and was worth the price. This is a welcome change, especially in the area where the food is mostly Bavarian. Definitely recommended!

I can only confirm the positive reviews.😊 Super delicious food, ideally seasoned and creatively served, especially the homemade lemonades with pepper and salt are absolutely amazing. The staff is really nice and motivated.

At the end of our Ruhpolding holiday we had Indian food in Safran 👍 We received a very friendly welcome and enjoyed fantastic service with very tasty Indian food. It's just a shame that this wasn't the case everywhere in Ruhpolding!!! The Safran alone made everything better, if we come to Ruhpolding again this Indian restaurant will definitely be our first port of call 👍👍💥

Dit verborgen pareltje niet overslaan ! Door de lekkere gekleurde entree kom je boven in het restaurant alwaar super vriendelijk personeel voor je klaar staat. Wij aten op het balkon. Heerlijk Indiaas authentiek eten voor een goede prijs. Zeker aanbevolen!

Excellent tasting food! Very nice atmosphere, absolutely courteous service! The entrance is a bit hidden and inconspicuous (beer bar and sports bar on the ground floor), but you will be rewarded! Don't let that put you off. The absolute highlight was the starter plate with homemade cheese - very tasty!

Great freshly prepared authentic Indian food Very nice service. At first we didn't want to go in because the building didn't look that great from the outside. (There is a sports bar on the ground floor). We loved it so much that we ate there again the next day. A real highlight in Ruhpolding. It's a shame we're leaving tomorrow.

The food was delicious, there was enough rice for everyone, but the meat dish contained little meat in my opinion.

Geschmack lecker, die Soßen waren leider für indisches Essen sehr flüssig und es war kaum Gemüse drin (vegetarische Variante). Paneer war besser diesbezüglich. Das Lokal hungrig verlassen.

Ambiente: ein Hauch von Indien im verträumten Ruhpolding, ist aber ganz o.k., Essen sehr gut. Aber viel zu kleine Portionen und völlig überteuert!

We go hiking in Ruhrpolding quite often and really enjoy stopping here. The food and service are terrific. The atmosphere is very special and colorful. But the food and the nice service really make up for it!

Friendly and fast delivery driver. The food wasn't good though! Sauces far too watery (seemed like they had been stretched with cornstarch). The taste is far too sweet and not very aromatic. Had a thali and naan.

Really fantastic restaurant. It may seem inconspicuous from the outside, but once you're inside it captivates you! The food is affordable and really, really good! In addition, the service is one of the best I have ever experienced, with very nice employees and little extras. The restaurant is also beautiful, which makes the experience complete! It may seem strange in Bavaria, especially when you're on vacation, to go to an Indian restaurant instead of a typical Bavarian restaurant, but for me this Indian restaurant is definitely one of the best experiences I had on my vacation.

The room is lit blue and green in the evening with LEDs. The employees are really very nice. The food is very varied and really tasty. Perfect.

Very friendly staff, beautifully decorated dining room and very, very tasty food, but a little too expensive for Ruhpolding. A no-go is that they charge 3.50 euros for extra rice, which I have never experienced in an Indian restaurant.

Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen & bedient. Mein Mann hat die Empfehlung des Chefs bestellt und es hat ihm sehr gut geschmeckt. Kukad Haryali mittelscharf. Ich habe 3 Variationen Ente mit unterschiedlichen Soßen, kl. Salat und Reis gegessen. Wunderbar - es hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt. Ein sehr schöner Abend!

We had a wonderful evening at Safran! The food was super tasty and very varied. I had the saffron thali where you get 3 mini dishes with rice, naan, yoghurt and salad. This meant I could try several dishes at the same time. Conclusion: Everything was super delicious! The waiters are very caring and very friendly :) and then there is the special ambience. This has been furnished and decorated with a lot of love and an eye for detail, which looks very atmospheric and authentic.

We ordered through Lieferando, the food was great! There is also a good selection for vegetarians, we can only recommend it.

Wir haben 1 1/2 Stunden auf das Essen gewartet. Dann kamen Miniportonen. Miniportion Reis. Wenig Fleisch in der Soße. Geschmacklich naja, ok. Wir würden nicht nochmal dorthin gehen.

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant, in dem man sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient wird. Das Essen ist typisch indisch und schmeckt hervorragend auch viele vegetarische Speisen werden geboten. Bei scharfen Gerichten sollte man Vorsicht walten lassen, zur Not kann man den netten Kellner fragen. Als Abschluss gab es vom Haus eine leckere Mango-Creme.

Spontanes Abendessen entschieden für indisches Restaurant. Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit Ambiente und Service. Leicht verständliche Speisekarte mit großer Auswahl. Auch das Essen war sehr gut mit Vor- und Hauptspeise (für mich als Scharf-Esser ideale Auswahl) und einem Dessert. Preise nicht ganz günstig aber Preis-Leistungsverhältnis o.k. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das Safran ist ein sehr angenehmes Restaurant. Man wird freundlich behandelt und das Essen ist sehr schmackhaft. Wir werden sicher wiederkommen.

Eigentlich sind 5 Sterne zu wenig. Der wohl beste Lieferservice, den man sich vorstellen kann. Wir hatten Pizza bestellt. Leider war ein Stück der Straße zur Steinberg Alm immer noch nicht befahrbar. Der junge Mann kam im Dunkeln die letzten 1-2 Kilometer zu Fuß. Unglaublicher Service. Herzlichen Dank dafür. Und die Pizza super lecker. Können wir nur empfehlen. Wir kommen auch gerne mal im Restaurant vorbei. Heute waren wir im Restaurant. Wir können es nur loben. Der Chef sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit in der Beratung. Super leckere Speisen. Wir kommen wieder.
