We had to wait for almost 40 mins before someone took our order. Only to find out that there was multiple hair found in our food. We informed the staff and they didn’t seem to care and charged us full price on our meals. Not that we needed it, but they just didn’t seem to take it serious. I wouldn’t recommend this place mainly cause of hygiene and lack of courtesy.

Yesterday we were in this horrible restaurant, the food tasted really bad, the waiters could work as kitchen assistants in prison. I asked the waitress to recommend a salad. She brought me expired chopped vegetables, which smelled all over the table. When I pointed out to her why she was recommending something like that, she told me I should have chosen the salad myself and now I have to pay for it aha okay how am I supposed to do that, I'm not Iranian and I don't know anything about Iranian cuisine and if Iranian cuisine is such dog food then I don't want to get to know it any further! So my conclusion is never again and if people want to pay a lot of money for low quality and poor service then go ahead, but it absolutely put us off!!!

The Safran restaurant in Düsseldorf is a real gem for lovers of Persian cuisine. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you are greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, which is underlined by the stylish furnishings and subtle oriental accents. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, and you feel like you're in good hands right from the start. The menu offers an impressive selection of authentic Iranian dishes, all prepared with great attention to detail. Particularly noteworthy are the delicious grilled dishes, which are perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The vegetarian options also impress with their variety and taste. The saffron rice, after which the restaurant is named, is an absolute must - tender, aromatic and a delight for the senses. The price-performance ratio is more than fair, especially considering the high quality of the food and the excellent service. If you want to experience Persian cuisine in all its fullness, you shouldn't miss a visit to Safran. It is undoubtedly one of the best Iranian restaurants in Düsseldorf and a place to return to again and again.

We were there this evening as a family. Very slow service, the two unpleasant waitresses, overwhelmed even though the restaurant was not full. We had to wait 20 minutes and call the waitress several times to come and take our order. On the other hand, the food is very good. The quality of the meat too. But a shame because the service must match the quality of the menu and its price otherwise no return.

We decided to go for my birthday dinner to Safran Restaurant although the previous ratings were really bad (however all of them 1 time rating which usually tells you something). The main reason we decided to give it a try was that whenever we passed by the restaurant it was most of the time very well booked - hence, usually a good indication, service was quite friendly but also a little bit unfocused on us as more and more guests entered at that time or sit outdoors. The food itself was decent and delicious - pricing was moderate - hence in total a good deal …

We were an international group, most of us could speak German. The waitresses were extremely rude and uninterested from the start. The food was good. But I wouldn't go back to experience such treatment.

Not a nice atmosphere right on the street with the tram. The food was below average for the price, you can eat much better in Düsseldorf. The service wasn't friendly either, a shame!

I hope that if you are going to them on the weekend, you have a reservation. The place is small and crowded, the service is excellent, the food is wonderful, and the price is a bit high. They do not accept credit cards, only cash.

Our first visit to a Persian restaurant. I had the cooked lamb shank, which tasted incredibly delicious! The meat was very tender, the rice was fluffy and the sauce was well seasoned. Unfortunately we didn't like the skewers of minced lamb... a strange taste that we unfortunately can't describe, but the portion was generous. Unfortunately, the lady who served us was very unfriendly, seemed very uninterested and didn't smile once. The other employee (with the glasses), on the other hand, was very open and friendly.

The staff is very unpleasant and rude behaviour . I was alone and ordered. The waitress thing tells me I have to pay in cash. Apparently she thinks I am not a person who can afford to pay. I politely said ok. A while later Germans/europeans at the next table were offered Cash or card ?. A while later when I was half way my food I was told to pay. I politely said I will no issue but please tell me why is this urgency I am half way my food. I questioned why was I not offered card? Then they realised I can speak German. And gave bullshit reason that time our internet was down so card payment was not working. The restaurant guy said we are closing. I realised was then the last customer. I said ok but you people are very rude don’t treat me right. He then said you can pay and sit and have food. Then after a while I was forcibly made to pay. After 10 min the guy started yelling saying I will call police you are eating too slow. Then they made me leave the food and forced me to leave. I had a horrible experience. Please don’t go to this place especially if you are of color.

No doubt the food was amazing but the place was hot and the main thing the staff were very impolite and racist did not give us plates or utensils we had to ask for everything and go grab them from the counter

Ich habe recently dieses Restaurant beuscht und war issätt entsprecht. Das Essen was leider nicht besonders, und der echte Geschmack der persische Küche ist meiner Meinung nach viel besser. Der Service war anfangs gut – wir wurden beim Eintreten freundlich espeltigt. Leider einderte sich das komplett beim Verlassen des Restaurants. Auf unser „Schüss“ und „Dankeschön“ wurde nicht einmal geantwortet. Es schien, als würden nicht alle Gäste gleich behandelt werden. Overall, I had the impression that more value is placed here on the money than on the satisfaction of the guests. All in all, I would not recommend this restaurant. We went to this restaurant today and there were several problems. The first problem was that the food was not of good quality and we did not feel the real taste of Iranian food there. Second point, at first we were welcomed very well and cordially, but unfortunately after the food was served, it was not as if we were there, they didn't ask us even once if we needed anything, while they regularly went to other tables of different nationalities. They used to visit different places and ask them questions, and this made me wonder why? And I got the feeling that here money is more important than the customer. And everyone is not treated in the same way. In the end, they didn't even respond to our goodbyes and thanks, and the waitress didn't even raise her head. Overall, this restaurant is no longer my choice

Ate Persian for the first time and I was really excited about it. I can really recommend it there.

It's an incredible shame that the quality of Persian restaurants is declining significantly. As a Persian-German guest, the food was just terrible and disgusting, regardless of whether it was chicken, beef/minced meat, starters or dough. Dough tasted 1 to 1 like pure water, nothing of carbonated salt taste and for 7€ for 1L of it, you could have ordered a tastier starter straight away. Everything was dry, the portions were incredibly HIGH for the price (around €30!!!) and the service was also questionable. Nothing is brought to you in the form of salt and pepper if you want to sit out but that's just an aside. If you want good Persian food, and AUTHENTIC food, you should stay away from these restaurants and instead find a Persian friend. It's a shame that this can be the first impression of Persian culture for non-Persians, even though we pride ourselves on TOP hospitality and good service at every point.

I had a reservation today at 7:00 pm. I came in and told the waitress that I would like to set outside and waited for over 15 min without taking my order. The restaurant was half full. I had to walk out and find somewhere else to have dinner :)

The pounded kebab is extremely greasy and without the taste of pounded kebab, the grilled chicken did not taste like grilled chicken at all. This was the second time that we could not eat the battered kebab at all.

We were there on August 4th around 8 p.m. and a lady who had headphones on took all the orders and was very unfriendly and couldn't understand German. All the employees were good, except for the one lady who had headphones on. We asked if we could pack the food and she was very, very rude to us.

The horrible muscle spasm was not bad, but worse than everything else. I do not recommend for a restaurant, a lady with a very rude attitude

I was there today with a few colleagues and we had to wait at least 1.5 hours for the food. When we complained the employee was very rude, incompetent and loud. When I went to speak to her manager, no one came. I will never go there again and don't recommend it to anyone. There are many better Persian restaurants far better than this.

The food is great, the service is very attentive, even if it sometimes doesn't work in German, we got everything we wanted and were always served in a friendly and nice manner. Incredible lamb and chicken, the portions so generous we packed quite a bit. Typical Persian food, which you can also see in the numerous guests of Arab origin. If you want to enjoy something like that in top quality, you should come here!

The food was very tasty and freshly prepared. The quality of the dishes really impressed us. The elegant furnishings also completely suited our taste. Unfortunately the service was absolutely poor. The waitresses barely noticed us and it took almost 40 minutes before we could even order drinks. At times the music was turned up so loud that you could no longer understand your own words. They also didn't ask if we would like to order anything else. Instead, you had to repeatedly draw attention to yourself with hand signals, otherwise you would be treated like air. Overall, the dining experience was severely marred by poor service. It's a shame, because the restaurant deserves a better overall rating.

I recently dined at Safran and had an incredibly mixed experience. The food was good flavorful, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, the customer service was the worst I have ever encountered. The staff was inattentive, rude, and seemed completely uninterested in helping customers. It's a real shame because the kitchen clearly knows what they're doing. I hope they can improve their service because the quality of the food deserves better.

I recently visited Safaran Restaurant, and while the food was fine, the service was absolutely terrible. We were attended to by two ladies whose attitudes were shockingly poor. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that customer service was not a priority for them. They were inattentive, slow, and seemed completely uninterested in providing a pleasant dining experience. Our orders were taken reluctantly, and any request we made seemed like a burden to them. Simple things like refilling our drinks or bringing extra napkins took ages, and we had to ask multiple times. Their rude demeanor and lack of professionalism overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable meal. It's a shame because the food itself was quite good, but the dreadful service made the whole experience highly unpleasant. I won't be returning to Safaran Restaurant, and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for good service. It's disappointing to see such potential wasted by such poor staff behavior.

So… the food is really amazing!! You'll be absolutely full and the prices are fair. Anyone who loves Iranian and knows it from home will get their money's worth here. But…. Currently, traveling to Dusseldorf, I wanted to try some Iranian/Persian specialties after going to the gym. My first impression was that the waitress was very rude. His judgmental look said a lot about his way of thinking. Not only did she refuse to let me pay with my card, but she demanded cash, to believe that this establishment does not declare certain income for taxes. I had to insist that my Visa be accepted by the establishment. It was without counting on the intervention of this person to move me by force even though I was trying to take advantage of the terrace. The atmosphere was completely weighed down by such behavior. I do not recommend this place.

Tasty food ! Yesterday was one of them 13th of july 2024 1-start from beginning when we order food and immediately the waitress ask how you going to pay for you food all together or separately 🤨😳 that was new ! 2-she bring the food and her thumb was inside the food plate 🤯come on you just touch money with those hand,I let it slide and start my food from other side. 3-tables are so close to each other she couldn’t serve a food properly and had to lean over me ( gentleman next to me on the next table was shoulder width away from me ) so if she stand in the edge of our table and her back was over their table,no fault of her but poor placement of tables 4-I ask for another cola in the middle of my meal ,waitress took another table order and take her time, put it in the in the system start going trough her cellphone in front of bar while our table 4-5 step from the bar,another few min passed so I walk to bar and ask for a cola, they refused & ask me to sit we bring it to you,in response it’s fine I can take it to my table no worries,again NO! sit we bring it to you !!! after they talked to each other and pointing at me finally she come with cold slam it on the table roll her eye and left !!! new type of hospitality !!! In conclusion your better off with take out or delivery

I went to this restaurant spontaneously because I had to do some business in Düsseldorf. I ordered Baghalipolo Mahiche and would say it was the best Persian food, to my taste, that I have ever eaten in Germany. I have been in Germany for around 40 years and have tried many Persian restaurants. I am pleased. Go on like that! So anyone can do kebab. But it was very tasty like grandma's. One negative point: As with many other restaurants, EC payments are not accepted, only cash payments. This is bad for companies. However, the reason given here was that the EC device was not connected to the power last night and therefore the battery was empty. However, this was at 5pm when I wanted to pay.

Upscale chic ambience, good food & top service!

It was a surprisingly great dining experience. The food was fantastic and the portions generous. The service from the staff was also very nice. The only negative was that there were no children's portions/dishes on the menu. A 4 year old can't eat a full portion of kebabs and rice/chips, but in the end we got a full portion and he didn't eat half.

I had Kubideh, which unfortunately had no pizzazz. 0815 taste. Doesn't feel salty at all. The meat was rather tasteless and far too fatty. It has to be said that Kubideh must be greasy, but this was too greasy and of course less well seasoned. Service was quite okay The waitress was polite and nice, but you could tell she was listless. It could happen to anyone, but I didn't find it that nice. The ambience was nice, simple, unfortunately just too narrow. Overall it was okay, but I wouldn't eat there again.

The service is poor, the waitress then complains that it is customary to give a 10% tip because she has a tax on the tip! We are urged to order at 8:30 p.m. with the information that the restaurant closes at 10 p.m. and we then have to leave the restaurant! You should first make sure that you provide schools with good service, then you will be willing to give more and at the same time, as an employer, you should make them aware that tips are not mandatory in Germany, they are given at your own discretion! If you can tell from the waiter's face that she doesn't feel like it, she should change her job, Paying guests can't do anything about the mood of the employees, on the contrary, it influences the atmosphere of the evening! A restaurant depends on its service. Strong training recommended. Food was ok. Atmosphere too!

Eating Iranian for the first time, the food is freshly prepared, you can taste it. Appetizer platter was very tasty, service was good. Prices are adapted to Düsseldorf conditions For the main course I chose a mix of different types of meat. good portions You have to like mutton, mine wasn't. I found the intense taste of this meat very disturbing, so I left it alone. Unfortunately, it didn't say anywhere that it was mutton. Otherwise we were satisfied

The restaurant frankly has delicious food, delicious in every sense of the word, but the most important thing is that you have some cash because they don’t have a machine, and unfortunately I didn’t know, but I went to the ATM and withdrew the money and returned and paid my account to the honesty. The treatment is excellent and the employees are respectful and helpful. Anyone who visits Dusseldorf should not visit it. Thank you.

Unfortunately the food was not hot, but rather lukewarm. The service person really tried hard, you have to give her that. Communication was difficult because of the language, so either the wrong thing was said or it was forgotten. A pity... The ambience was nice and cozy. Unfortunately, payment was only possible in cash that day, which was annoying!

**Such incredibly good food** I really often eat at the Persian restaurant and I really enjoyed the food this time too. It could have been such a great evening, but unfortunately the service was anything but capable of ensuring that we as guests had a lovely evening. It's not a bad thing that there is a language barrier - somehow it makes the visit authentic. However, the woman simply never understood anything and really had an expression on her face like it had been raining for ten days. After a very banal question, she listened and simply left. There was really no hospitality to speak of. Another problem was that unfortunately we were served the completely wrong dish, even though we went through the numbers together. But she immediately took it back and quickly brought the requested food. I really understand that it was a long day and that the job is really hard, but I think you should still be able to say a normal "thank you", "please" and "hello". The food was really outstanding, but unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. It's a shame, because that spoiled the evening a little.

Great place, great people and great food! Only problem, you can not pay with a Dutch card. If they don't know you or you are a forner, they would treedt you different. So if your a tourist take cash with you.

Staff was horrible, very disrespectful, didn't know how to treat customers or when to serve food. They didn't accept credit card and we were tourists on business meeting and they pushed us to pay with cash only (extremely suspicious and sketchy). I brought my guests to this restaurant and felt embarrassed as an Iranian for this horrible quality and hospitality. Please don't make the same mistake I did and don't ever go here.

Hi, I was there for dinner with my colleagues on May 15th. We ordered some food but after 1 minute we want to exchange a salad sherazi for another one but the waitress was very unprofessional and unfriendly. The waitress said your order was blocked. We can't do it to others now. Namely, how can a waiter or waitress work with shorts?

Very very nice food. It was delicious. Unfortunately I come from Stuttgart otherwise I would come by much more often. I recommend everyone to try here at least once. When I'm back in Düsseldorf I'll come back to eat. There was a waitress especially very nice and helpful. We would like to thank the lovely wait staff for their warm friendliness. The food was good & tasty. The staff was unfortunately unfriendly. At one moment, i would say also unrespectful. So i would never go to such places, when the staff don't know how they should deal with the customers. Paying with card is not possible.

It was our first time eating something in the Persian kitchen. It was something different, different spices: overall really tasty. I was particularly impressed by the saffron chicken. The lamb skewer tasted quite strong, so if you are a bit sensitive about it, you should stay away from it. As a starter we also received a few small specialties from the kitchen that tasted really delicious. The only thing that didn't completely blow us away was the bread. We were used to that better or “fresher”. Overall, despite a few minor things, the food was very tasty and the staff was also very friendly :)

Ich hatte kürzlich das Pech, im Safran zu essen, und ich muss sagen, es war eines der enttäuschendsten Erlebnisse, die ich je hatte. Vom Moment unseres Eintreffens an war die Einstellung der Mitarbeiter nicht sehr freundlich. Es scheint, dass der Kundendienst hier keine Priorität hat. Noch schlimmer war, dass sie auf Barzahlung bestanden, weil ihr Kartenlesegerät angeblich "nicht funktionierte". In der heutigen Zeit sollte ein Restaurant ein funktionierendes Zahlungssystem haben und alternative Zahlungsmöglichkeiten anbieten. Ich werde nicht in dieses Restaurant zurückkehren, da ich mir ein besseres Esserlebnis wünsche. P.S. Meine vorherige Bewertung wurde entfernt. Bewertungen helfen Menschen, die richtigen Orte zum Essen auszuwählen.

Very rude staff. We were trying to pay, they didn't catch our attention and when we went up to the counter, the lady just said go and sit. Be mindful there are little to no vegan options. I am really sorry to write such a sentence Racist people are still found in Dusseldorf. I ask all my fellow Afghans not to go to this restaurant. They have a very rude attitude towards Afghans.

On my recent visit to Restaurant Safran, I chose the Kubideh Kebab, as always. The restaurant offers an interesting interpretation of this traditional dish that tries to incorporate local flavors. Even if the preparation turned out to be a little drier than expected, it offers a unique experience for the palate that differs from the classic version.

I'm Brazilian and I was enchanted by the atmosphere... the girls served me really well... they're very polite! The perfect food ❤️ I liked it so much that I went back 4 times while I was in Düsseldorf

Very good restaurant, nothing to say.

A small but nice restaurant. Given the price level, in retrospect I missed a little more detail in the furnishings/decor but also in the food. The starters were all very tasty, I found the main course too simple with lots of rice and the lamb skewers and I didn't like the marinade of the mince. The restaurant was not very busy and we were served quickly, although there were never any requests for additional drinks, desserts, etc. Card payment was only possible with EC!
