The food is delicious, I recommend it because Iranian food appeals to our taste.

We ate in the restaurant on Thursday. Unfortunately a totally disappointing visit. The waitress who served us that day brought the wrong food and didn't even apologize or offer to bring the right food. In addition, when paying, she was very focused on the tip and showed me with facial expressions and gestures that she would have expected more tip, which made us feel bad. We won't eat there again.

An absolute highlight among Persian restaurants! The Safran impresses across the board – with warm hospitality, a cozy atmosphere and, above all, fantastic food. Particularly noteworthy are the delicately braised lamb dishes - incredibly aromatic, buttery and perfectly seasoned. The grilled skewers are also a delight: juicy, cooked to perfection and served with sophisticated side dishes. If you love Persian cuisine (or want to get to know it), you shouldn't miss this culinary experience. Clearly: 5 out of 5 points – unreservedly recommended!

Were there again today with friends. Delicious food and very friendly service!!! Even though I was there with unexpected requests for changes, the employees reacted very coolly and, as always, enchanted us with an exceptional meal.

We had lunch at your restaurant today. Unfortunately, the visit was overall disappointing. The staff was rude and unaccommodating, which negatively affected the experience. The food was a mixed bag: the Kabab Barg was very good, we didn't like the soup at all, but the Doogh was excellent. Treating guests with respect should be a given. We hope that more emphasis will be placed on better service in the future.

We were totally dissatisfied. The staff was very unfriendly and constantly got into arguments with each other. We found a long hair between the cutlery on our table - apparently because the employees hadn't tied their hair back neatly.

Today at 2 May 2025, I was extremely disappointed by the attitude of one of the servers at the restaurant, we have consistently experienced the servers disrespect a few times now and I’m dissatisfied extremely.

We called them and asked if we needed to make a reservation. We were then directed to the website. When I asked if they had enough space for a stroller, they simply hung up on me. The ambience on site was very appealing and the menu was very chic. The food was so good so far, but no different than other Persians. The bread was very dry and inedible. As with most Persians, the price is between 20 and 30 euros for the main course. Bread definitely needs to be improved, as should communication.

However, what really made the visit unpleasant was the rude behavior of the service person (a relatively tall woman). I kindly asked her if she could clean the table near the door because it was too warm at the end of the room. Her answer was very unfriendly: “I don’t have time” – and she was reluctant to clean the table. Because of the unpleasant atmosphere, I ate my food quickly and left with a headache. Even if the food is good, I don't want to eat in a restaurant where the staff treats the guests disrespectfully. English: The food was good and was prepared fairly quickly. Food was mediocre, it’s been a few times since we’ve gone and each time we have experienced some type of disrespect from the service, on our table, the table next to us. Especially because they are representing Iranian cuisine, they did not withhold professional service. Although there are a few nice people most have been ignorant.

The waiter tried hard, but also seemed slightly helpless. About the food: The starters we ordered were priced at €8-9. They were uninspired and irrelevant in terms of taste. The eggplant from the pan smelled burnt; and tasted like that too. The main course of lamb was rich and very lime-heavy. The vegetarian meal for €15 was a joke. A tapas plate at the Spaniards is a battle plate in comparison. The shop is completely unsuitable for vegetarians. How the 4.7 stars come together is inexplicable to me. Sorry, but not again

Once for the best Iranian food, you can use the Saffron restaurant in Dusseldorf. We had a great and unique night. We would like to thank the restaurant staff, especially Ms. Negin, who worked hard.

Food great, tour flop. The food is great – no question about it. But the tone and atmosphere in the service team is frightening. There is something fundamentally wrong here and the responsibility clearly lies with management. You get the feeling that the staff is under pressure and afraid. Anyone who creates such an atmosphere should not be surprised by unfriendly service.

After my experience last night, it's finally over for me. I was once again brushed off, ignored and treated disrespectfully by an incredibly rude and overwhelmed service person. And this is by no means an isolated case - this has been evident in the reviews for months. The standard answer “just so much from the heart” now seems like a bad joke when you see how little actually changes. It seems as if the employees there are under massive pressure, fear and poor working conditions - irritable, tense, overwhelmed. This is noticeable – and it is transmitted directly to the guests. I urge the management to address the chaotic conditions on site. Create an atmosphere in which the team can work calmly, friendly and professionally. Because if nothing changes in how we treat guests, at some point even the quality of the food will no longer matter.

Extremely disappointing service - no customer focus I ordered yesterday around 8 p.m. via Lieferando after being told by phone that pre-ordering for pickup was not possible. The food didn't arrive until 10 p.m. - and although I tried desperately to cancel in the meantime, the employee kept telling me that I had to do it myself via Lieferando. This is not correct, as Lieferando support confirmed to me - the cancellation must come from the restaurant. I must have called 18 times. The lady was overwhelmed, emphasized several times that she couldn't make any decisions without the boss - who was on vacation - and simply hung up on me several times. Sometimes I was put on hold for minutes or pushed away straight away. When she said at some point that she had now canceled “in annoyance”, I asked for confirmation - but that was also rejected, accompanied by unfriendly comments. In the end, the driver came with the food - even though I had clearly rejected it. I didn't accept the food - after 2 hours of waiting, complete communication chaos and absolutely disrespectful treatment. I really like the food and have ordered there several times - even used catering. But the service had been marginal before, and this time it was simply unsustainable. When you're so busy, you should employ more staff - but sending customers around in circles, brushing them off and hanging up on them in their faces is the last thing you want. I really hope I get my money back for the unaccepted order.

The food doesn’t meet my expectations and the waitresses are not good and bad behavior…. Asking cash or by card only when setting and when I said thank you when I left.. she replied by sure …. The food is not good. Normal rate and their behavior is zero …

Hello dear people, I was in the Safran restaurant today and unfortunately I was treated very unfriendly. A waitress came to us without greeting and said in a harsh tone: “Who said you should sit here?” Instead of politely explaining that a reservation had to be made, we were shouted at and sent out. Treating guests like this is disrespectful - very disappointing.👎 04/19/25. 😒

I called the night before and they told me I reserved it from website. I reserved but didn't receive any response, not rejection and not acceptance. The day i reserved i called and told them their situation and in my opinion they talk not nice. They must get a positive or negative answerto people. The minimum expeteation is they send a rejection email or call that people know what they should do. The cuisine is freshly prepared and plentiful, the service was excellent, friendly and competent. We had one of the most beautiful evenings this year in this restaurant. The food was very good and the environment of the restaurant was pleasant and comfortable, but unfortunately the attitude of one of the waiters (or the head waiter) was not appropriate at all. (Slim Iranian woman with practical nose) He behaved very rude, nervous and disrespectful and as if he had a fight with the customer! This kind of treatment really affected our overall experience and overshadowed the good quality of the food and atmosphere. I hope the management of the restaurant will take care of this issue, because such behavior lowers the level of the collection! In fact, we wanted to have a better place, but he was treated so rudely that I will not recommend this place to anyone else, nor will I go myself!!!

Today I and my family reserved a table for five people. When we arrived we were greeted by a waitress. The quality of the food was very good, the environment was very clean and the waitresses were very friendly despite being tired on a Saturday. The only thing this restaurant lacks is live music from Iran. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

A few days ago we were in the Safran restaurant in Düsseldorf. Admittedly it was a bit late (9:25 p.m.), so we politely asked if there was any food available and apologized for the late visit. The one waitress with curly hair (younger) welcomed us in a friendly manner and gave us a time slot until 10:15 p.m. (restaurant closes at 10:00 p.m.). When we sat down we were “served” by an older waitress. She was very rude and reproached us several times for not coming earlier and generally ran around hectically. While we were eating, this waitress told her colleague in a volume that we could hear why we were eating so slowly and showed her to the table. The food didn't arrive until 9:56 p.m.... how quickly would she have wanted us to devour our portions?! We have rarely felt so unwanted in a restaurant! We didn't finish the food and left the restaurant at 10:16 p.m. واقعا متاسفم…

A really great restaurant with fun and great service. The food was super tasty. Appropriate ambience. The music was a little too loud for my taste, but the style of music was absolutely appropriate. Clear recommendation. I would have given it 4.5 stars if that were possible.

Disappointing experience - never again! Unfortunately we were treated very badly in this restaurant. The service left a lot to be desired - the waitress seemed completely unmotivated, as if she had absolutely no desire to work. There was no friendliness and one had the feeling that guests were more of a nuisance than welcome. The food was also a disappointment. It tasted like it wasn't fresh - almost like it had reheated leftovers from the day before. Overall, the price-performance ratio was absolutely not justified. We definitely won't be coming back and unfortunately we can't recommend this restaurant.

First time experiencing Persian cuisine and must say it was a culinary encounter. The lamb fillet and minced meat were very well cooked and tasty. The saffron chicken was tender and was served with a colorful rice that complemented both dishes. I recommend everyone to try this restaurant which has both nice staff and fast service. Tasty meal.

Very good food. Absolutely delicious. The kitchen closes too early. The senior waitress does not come across as very friendly. I understand that she might be very busy, but there is room for improvement there. The customer is not supposed to feel like he or she is a bother. My Dutch friends also experienced that, unfortunately, and I had to justify it by telling them that it's just a culture thing. If that changes, this will be the best persian restaurant I've ever been to.

We have been to this restaurant several times and the food has always been okay. But our visit today – of all times on the Iranian New Year – was a big disappointment. Despite a reservation, the restaurant was completely overcrowded and we had to wait outside until a table became available. At our request we were given tea, but it was only after about 30 minutes of waiting that we were actually assigned a table. The organization seemed chaotic as too many reservations seemed to be accepted per hour. It was extremely loud inside, the air conditioning was poor and the air was stuffy. The restaurant was simply overcrowded. After just an hour we were politely but firmly asked to leave in ten minutes because the table had already been reserved for the next guests. The food was good, but the entire process was very unpleasant. Particularly disappointing: the tea that was offered to us as an apology later appeared on the bill. We have never had an experience like this in any other restaurant. Unfortunately we probably won't be coming back.

Excellent Persian restaurant! We arrived as a large group, so the dishes were delayed a little, but the food was worth the wait. Good music, service Good and always with a smile, varied and delicious food. Their kebabs are soft like butter - highly recommended. Of course finish with Persian chai as it should be with "rand" - the sugar you put in your mouth (those who know), enjoy!

We wrote a wonderful new chapter in our book of life 📖 I had a special request because I wanted to propose to my future wife. The wonderful lady at the restaurant not only captured this unique moment of the proposal on a great video, but also made sure that the right song was played for me at the right moment. 😍😍 It was the most beautiful thing I've ever experienced in my life. I recently had a disappointing experience at your restaurant. When it got busy, the staff made us feel uncomfortable by giving constant looks, as if pressuring us to eat quickly and leave. On top of that, they lied about a reserved seat, which made the situation even worse. This kind of service affects the overall dining experience, and I hope it can be addressed for future customers.

One of the best Iranian restaurants I've been to in Germany. The quality of the food was excellent, the atmosphere was wonderful and the restaurant staff was the best. They even surprised me and brought me a surprise cake because I was there on my birthday. I would definitely recommend this place.

On Friday at 3:00 p.m. I bought a portion of kebab köfte (minced meat skewers) from the Safran restaurant and took it home with me. Unfortunately, when we started eating, the meat wasn't fresh and wasn't of the usual quality. Unfortunately, it poisoned me and made me sick all night. At 4:00 a.m. I was throwing up. I was still feeling sick on Saturday and haven't recovered yet. 😔😔😔

The worst service ever all the staff is rude and aggressive also racist all of them especially niki the blonde waitress i think they dont understand their jobs they were aggressive to my family especially my mom I would never come back again and will never recommend it to my enemies 😂 all the staff changed their behavior And turned to the worst after the manger left the restaurant

Once and never again... Were here for the first and last time. The food looks better than it tastes. Lamb meat (minced) doesn't taste good at all. There was a hair in the yogurt. The service is also bad: there are far too few menus, so you have to wait 5-10 minutes at the table until you get one. All I can say about the ambience is that it was okay, but it was far too crowded and therefore loud in the restaurant. Food is also very very expensive.

Nice and very clean place to seat.. Staff can be more friendly to guests.. Kubide was not as high quality as expected. Gheymeh had a nice taste but it can be prepared with less oil!

What's the best way to spoil a New Year's Eve? You have to reserve a table at Restaurant Safran and off you go. Constant lectures, almost bordering on insults. Asking to leave the table because there are other customers at the door, even though there is a reservation! Etc. And so on. There were at least four five different customers waiting outside for their table and were asked to wait outside at +1 degrees! The customers had become correspondingly loud, what is the owner of the restaurant doing? He constantly turned the music up and up, our eardrums threatened to rupture. At the end the good waitress asked us that only one of us should pay the bill for 10 people! Wonderful! This is a way of working like the chakals. Earn money quickly and whatever the cost! Essence of the evening: Never again!!!

Not recommended - disappointing across the board Unfortunately our visit to this restaurant was a complete disappointment. When we arrived, our reservation was not accepted, even though we had a 90 km journey. Only after a heated discussion were we reluctantly offered a table - and it was right in front of the toilet, which was absolutely unacceptable. The quality of the food was very poor and the taste was a disaster. In addition, the service was completely incompetent and didn't speak a word of German. We had to communicate in English, which is not acceptable in a restaurant in Germany. What was particularly noticeable, however, was that the operators' compatriots (Persians) were warmly welcomed and treated courteously, while we - presumably because of our different nationality - were ignored and treated with noticeable indifference. To make matters worse, we had to wait over 20 minutes for every little thing - be it the order or the bill - before we were even noticed. The service was slow, disinterested and overall extremely unprofessional. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. It was a waste of time and money.

There is a waitress( Iranian woman) who is very impolite and rude. She is very aggressive and behave awful with the customer. The food is not good but because of that woman and her behaviour I would never go back there. I hope that the owner see this view and warn her to behave politely to the customer!!!!! Because I am seeing also in the other comments that all the customers are complaining about her.

Today (December 27th, 2024) I was at the Safran Restaurant in Düsseldorf. The behavior of the staff in the restaurant was unfriendly. I ordered Kebab Kubideh, the food looked good but the quality was very poor. The kebab was too greasy and didn't taste like a normal kebab at all. The rice didn't taste good either. It only had saffron color on it and no real saffron. This restaurant is not recommended.

Unfortunately, as a non-Persian you are neglected and the service is worse than for Persian guests. The food comes very slowly and you have to wait a long time for the drinks. If you couldn't give a star for the service, I would. After we got the food after an hour, it was unfortunately very dry and unseasoned. Unfortunately wasted money.

A miserable restaurant with a very rude female waitress (owner?). She wanted to see if we actually have cach money before receiving the order as they don’t accept any cards! They don’t serve you water, but only expensive bottle water i Is available! Also at the end, she was literally kicking us out to clean the tables sonner, but it was only 9:40pm! An awful experience, never recommended, do NOT go there!

Actually a nice shop, but the service team was completely overwhelmed and we had to wait 30 minutes for drinks and an hour for food. Two other tables were simply moved forward.

Very tasty food and fast delivery

Just had dinner here, food was not tasty. It had no taste and the kebab fell apart. It tasted like it was pre-made food and frozen. All my (7) table companions with other dishes did not like it either. They couldn't do anything about the price even though we had 3 snacks. We had to pay the full price.

This restaurant is absolutely not recommended. The food was a disappointment: the rice was dry, the kebab burnt, and we didn't receive what we ordered. Even friendly inquiries were not answered. The waiters kept us waiting for 30 minutes without even looking at us. Unfortunately, we were deceived by the good overall rating without reading the actual reviews. Now we just ask ourselves: How can a restaurant like this even survive? Disrespectful staff, poor quality food – even one star would be too much.

The service was terrible. The area under our table was filthy, and the waitstaff were unresponsive, rarely checking on us. To make matters worse, they didn’t bring everything we ordered, so we had to remind them multiple times. The rice was extremely dry, and the kebab was partially burned, adding to the overall disappointment.
