Wir sind beim Erkunden der Stadt auf dieses ausgezeichnete und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtete Lokal gestoßen und haben uns spontan entschieden, hier zu Abend zu essen. Das war eine sehr gute Entscheidung. Super leckeres Essen, sehr geschmackvoll zubereitet und angerichtet. Und ein Service, der keine Wünsche offen lässt. Und: das Dessert - ein Gedicht !!! Wir kommen wieder.

Me and My Girlfriend decided after months of walking past the restaurant to go for a late dinner. Unfortunately we were stuck in traffic but we called and Mohammed and his Family were so kind they prepared the food for our arrival in advance! We were blown away by the food, the quality was PHENOMENAL. Nowadays it’s close to impossible to find good food for a good price let alone with a beautiful ambience. After our dinner Mohammed and his family made us a freshly pressed lemonade and then gave us a tour of the rest of his restaurant and his Own Custom built to Syrian Tradition basement which has a fully decorated Dining room and Living room where you can sit and relax. He offered us a traditional tea and we felt so well treated it exceeded any expectation that we had at all! Thank you Mohammed for this absolutely wonderful experience. If we could give the restaurant 6 star we would! See you again soon !

As a guest in Passau, I am incredibly happy to have eaten here. The food tastes excellent and the service is extremely courteous 😍 I would recommend the restaurant and come there myself as often as possible!

What I remember best is the great service. Friendly, customer focused, multiple attentions. Just great. The size of the portions was difficult for me to estimate. A subsequent delivery came immediately. A very nice evening in an authentic atmosphere. Recommended!

Delicious Syrian food. As a vegetarian, there were various pastes (meze) that were consumed with the help of flatbread cutlery. The lemonade drinks and date juice are particularly recommended. Very friendly service.

The Eestaurant has a nice, subtle ambience with very courteous service. My Baba Ghanouj and the vegan plate were very tasty, but the portion size was on the smaller end. The complimentary glass of tea was a nice touch. Overall, I can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience!

The food was wonderful, Syrian cuisine that everyone who likes variety and enjoyment should get to know. We had the vegetarian selection for two (44 euros) and everything was very good. The service was exceptionally friendly and the atmosphere was very nice and tasteful. So: off to Lower Bavaria to enjoy really good Syrian cuisine! By the way: There is no alcohol here, but very good non-alcoholic beer and wonderful Arabic tea...

As always, the food was top with the best price-performance ratio; Service competent, friendly & warm - that's how hospitality works! Safi was open for lunch on the holiday - many others weren't. The selection of vegetarian and vegan options is unparalleled in Passau. We were able to test the outdoor spaces for the first time in the best weather - brilliant. Many thanks to the whole team <3

I was there with my fiancée and her family. We all enjoyed the food very much and you can learn a lot about the Arabic food culture here. The restaurant also has a wonderful ambience. They have a small cute balcony decorated with very beautiful flowers. I proposed to my girlfriend there. The staff helped us a lot, were always friendly and always welcomed us. We would be happy to come back at any time. I was there again on August 17th, 2024, great experience, I am very satisfied and grateful.

You need to eat here. If you wanna have a break from a schnitzel and try someting tasty and unussual, this is the place. Tender chicken and delicious rice. My husband had a beef kebab with flatbrad and it was also amazing.

As expected, the ambience is in an oriental style, but not too intrusive but rather simple and pleasant, just like the music that plays in the background at the right volume. The food tasted very authentically Syrian and the price was very reasonable. The drinks on offer were as exotic as they were tasty. And the staff also friendly and accommodating. Since Safi's beginning, I have been their guest very often. The food is very tasty, there is vegetarian and vegan food for all tastes. The Safi family is very nice and the new restaurant in the heart of the city is very close and very nice. Always my pleasure

Had Syrian food for the first time today at Safi, Passau. On the recommendation of the extremely friendly service, we had the combination offer with meat. A selection of different starters and main courses, all of which tasted excellent. After we particularly praised the rice, we were given a second helping without being asked. Overall, a highly recommended restaurant with very friendly service. Gladly again and again!!!

Als Vorspeise ein Petersiliensalat, sehr lecker, so noch nie gegessen. Dann ein Hähnchenschlegel, butterzart, mit Reis, ungewöhnlich gewürzt (laut Aussage der sehr netten Bedienung mit vielen verschiedenen Gewürzen -ein Rezept vom Großvater). Dazu ein Krautsalat und eine Art Salsa (Sorry, klingt nicht syrisch, habe den richtigen Namen vergessen). Alles zusammen sehr lecker, rund und für mich auch nicht zu scharf. Zu Trinken hatte ich einen Saft aus Datteln, was ich auch zum ersten mal getrunken habe und hervorragend dazu passte. Noch ein starker Tee, für uns extra nicht ganz so stark und eine süße Griesschnitte mit Nüssen drauf. Atmosphäre klasse, Essen lecker, Service klasse, was will man mehr. Volle 5 Sterne!

Since I know Arabic cuisine and Syrian cuisine well, this experience was disappointing for me! Dishes are small and have no connection to the well-known dishes. We ordered a grill plate for 4 people, which mostly consisted of appetizers, which wasn't filling and was too expensive.

What a great restaurant! Very warm and hospitable owners. We had a mix of dishes for 4 people and were very enthusiastic about the delicious starters and main courses. The unusual drinks such as the date juice or the homemade Ayran were also great. If we are in Passau again, we will definitely come by again ☺️

We like to try other types of food - we were extremely positively surprised at the Safi restaurant. No standard cuisine, but selected, excellently prepared original Syrian dishes. We are vegetarians and had enough choice. The service was perfect and the ambience is also very nice. Definitely coming back next time you visit Passau!

We were amazed when we found ourselves in the Safi restaurant. Great furnishings and the feel-good factor was there straight away. Extremely courteous staff who gave us various recommendations and also explained to us what was behind the various dishes. We chose the platter for 4 with meat. Wow, what the chef Mr. Safi conjured up together with his wife was incredibly tasty and diverse. We were completely thrilled and will definitely come back. Keep it up dear Safi team!

We were in Passau for a weekend vacation. We can only recommend the “quaint” town with its many restaurants and friendly people. In the middle of beer and Bavarian food then the Safi Restaurant with many delicacies and Syrian warmth. Anyone who visits Passau should not miss the “home cooking” prepared with love by the Syrians. An evening with vegetarian/vegan food and no alcohol is good for the soul and body. Finally, a mocha to complete the enjoyment. We were guests and not customers! Thanks and greetings from Thuringia

Very friendly welcome, beautiful authentic surroundings and background of Arbian music, we ordered two different starter plates for 4 people, the quantities are very miniscle wher than tasting as a starter, the homemade drinks based on dates and lime are very tasty. Main course was ok. When it comes to skewers, you shouldn't expect Levante skewers, they are a schilick kebab size. and not from the grill but made in the pan. Overall portions are small. Unfortunately they didn't have any more dessert, they didn't get around to it today, was the reason.

A restaurant lovingly furnished in the “Damascus style” with great taste for detail. You feel like you're in the Thousand and One Nights. The food is exceptional: everything fresh, a variety of fragrant spices. The service is very attentive, polite, almost embarrassingly nice. By no means the rule in Germany. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the fantastic food.
