Als Vorspeise ein Petersiliensalat, sehr lecker, so noch nie gegessen. Dann ein Hähnchenschlegel, butterzart, mit Reis, ungewöhnlich gewürzt (laut Aussage der sehr netten Bedienung mit vielen verschiedenen Gewürzen -ein Rezept vom Großvater). Dazu ein Krautsalat und eine Art Salsa (Sorry, klingt nicht syrisch, habe den richtigen Namen vergessen). Alles zusammen sehr lecker, rund und für mich auch nicht zu scharf. Zu Trinken hatte ich einen Saft aus Datteln, was ich auch zum ersten mal getrunken habe und hervorragend dazu passte. Noch ein starker Tee, für uns extra nicht ganz so stark und eine süße Griesschnitte mit Nüssen drauf. Atmosphäre klasse, Essen lecker, Service klasse, was will man mehr. Volle 5 Sterne!

We like to try other types of food - we were extremely positively surprised at the Safi restaurant. No standard cuisine, but selected, excellently prepared original Syrian dishes. We are vegetarians and had enough choice. The service was perfect and the ambience is also very nice. Definitely coming back next time you visit Passau!

We were amazed when we found ourselves in the Safi restaurant. Great furnishings and the feel-good factor was there straight away. Extremely courteous staff who gave us various recommendations and also explained to us what was behind the various dishes. We chose the platter for 4 with meat. Wow, what the chef Mr. Safi conjured up together with his wife was incredibly tasty and diverse. We were completely thrilled and will definitely come back. Keep it up dear Safi team!

We were in Passau for a weekend vacation. We can only recommend the “quaint” town with its many restaurants and friendly people. In the middle of beer and Bavarian food then the Safi Restaurant with many delicacies and Syrian warmth. Anyone who visits Passau should not miss the “home cooking” prepared with love by the Syrians. An evening with vegetarian/vegan food and no alcohol is good for the soul and body. Finally, a mocha to complete the enjoyment. We were guests and not customers! Thanks and greetings from Thuringia

Very friendly welcome, beautiful authentic surroundings and background of Arbian music, we ordered two different starter plates for 4 people, the quantities are very miniscle wher than tasting as a starter, the homemade drinks based on dates and lime are very tasty. Main course was ok. When it comes to skewers, you shouldn't expect Levante skewers, they are a schilick kebab size. and not from the grill but made in the pan. Overall portions are small. Unfortunately they didn't have any more dessert, they didn't get around to it today, was the reason.

A restaurant lovingly furnished in the “Damascus style” with great taste for detail. You feel like you're in the Thousand and One Nights. The food is exceptional: everything fresh, a variety of fragrant spices. The service is very attentive, polite, almost embarrassingly nice. By no means the rule in Germany. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the fantastic food.

So on the whole very recommendable, the food was very tasty although there were a few fries but at the price it was completely ok (I had shis with the meal) you could also buy an extra portion of fries. The prices are generally very good, so I paid €22 for 1 dish + 2 drinks, which is really cheap. The restaurant itself is very pretty and the service is very friendly and funny (they are also up for a joke or two 😂)

The worst experience and the worst restaurant in all of Germany, the food was tasteless and colourless, the meat was old and not even salt and spices were put on the table, and the last thing they brought us was grilled meat, half boiled, not grilled with beans, and the worker told me we were grilling without charcoal😂 We ordered boneless chicken, he brought boiled chicken and told us what boneless chicken meant, There is a distinction between the customers. The food is not Syrian food. These are just a group exploiting the customers. I do not advise anyone to try this experience. The Germans do not know Syrian food, so they go stubborn on the basis of Syrian food 😂

Price/performance 10 out of 10! If you want to get to know real Arabic cuisine on a cuisine level, you've come to the right place! 👌🏻 I cook Syrian myself and know Arabic cuisine well. We chose the starter platter as our main course and also ordered a portion of kibbeh (stuffed wheat balls). Both were excellent. The homemade “Ayran” tasted incredibly good and was something I had never experienced before. Definitely try it. The service was very attentive, friendly and personable. We would have liked to try grilled meat or something, but unfortunately we were already full. Will eat next time 😋 Keep it up! We would be happy to come back if we were in Passau again. 🙋🏻‍♂️

We visited this restaurant for the first time. Since we had already reserved in advance, we easily got a table for four people. The scope of the map is just right and the service is happy to help if you have any questions. We got the starters quickly. The taste of these was perfect. The main courses didn't take long to arrive either. Everything here was also very tasty. We will come back in any case.

I visited Passau on a weekend with my wife and we were looking for a Restaurant nearby. Safi was near and we just went by. I was very surprised by the variety of dishes thay had to offer and it was extremely delicious. It made us take a selfie with the Chef himself and he was so kind to pose for a picture and we had quite good conversation with the chef and his family. :)) Great people and the best food in Passau!!

Hello. Yesterday we were guests of the Safi family in the restaurant. We were very impressed by how much passion there was in so many details, the food was excellent and the hospitality was uniquely friendly. We recommend everyone to be a guest there. We have now invited three more friends to visit this restaurant, even if we come from Regensburg or Nuremberg - it is definitely worth the trip. Kind regards from Jonathan

Klasse Lokal im Herzen von Passau! Wir sind bei einem Stadtbummel zufällig darauf gestoßen und dann gleich zum Abendessen hingegangen. Sehr freundliches Team, sehr gut gespeist! Einziger - winziger - Kritikpunkt: für mich hätte alles etwas schärfer/intensiver gewürzt sein können, aber für meine Frau war es genau richtig :-)

Tatsächlich war der Geschmack des Essens eine Überraschung für mich. Super leckeres Essen in wunderschöner Ambiente. Wirklich ein Besuch wert

Ich hatte das Vergnügen, dieses Restaurant zu besuchen, und meine Erfahrung war einfach herausragend. Die Qualität des Essens war erstklassig, jedes Gericht zeugte von frischen Zutaten und exzellenter Zubereitung. Der Service war außergewöhnlich aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Personal war stets hilfsbereit und sorgte dafür, dass wir uns wohl fühlten. Die Empfehlungen des Kellners trafen genau meinen Geschmack. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant war angenehm und einladend. Die geschmackvolle Einrichtung schuf eine gemütliche Atmosphäre, die zu einem entspannten Genusserlebnis. Insgesamt kann ich dieses Restaurant uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Es hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen, und ich freue mich schon darauf, bald wiederzukommen.

Da wir die orientalische Küche lieben, mussten wir natürlich unbedingt auch mal das Safi mal testen. Da wir die Karte, die authentische syrische Küche versprach, vorab inspiziert hatten, war unsere Erwartung dementsprechend hoch. Wir hatten für Samstag Abend reserviert, man hätte aber denke ich auch ohne Reservierung einen Tisch bekommen. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und der Service war zuvorkommend. Das Ambiente finde ich an sich schön, jedoch war es tatsächlich ziemlich kalt, was nicht so angenehm war. Selbst mit Pullover fröstelten wir leicht. Nun aber zum Essen: Wir bestellten die gemischte Mazza als Vorpeise. Diese war sehr lecker, aber das Fladenbrot enttäuschte uns leider sehr. Wir erwarteten, dass dieses frisch und noch warm aus dem Ofen kommt. Jedoch war es kalt und gar nicht mehr richtig weich und fluffig. Das kenne ich sonst anders. Als Hauptspeise hatten wir 3 verschiedene Gerichte, die alle okay geschmeckt haben, aber jetzt kein besonderes Geschmackserlebnis waren. Es fehlte - nach unserem Geschmack - überall an den eigentlich intensiv schmeckenden orientalischen Gewürzen. Auch die Portionen waren für uns persönlich etwas zu klein. Ohne die Vorspeise hätten wir sicher noch Hunger gehabt 😅 Am Ende dauerte es leider sehr lange bis jemand kam, den wir um die Rechnung bitten konnte, obwohl das Lokal immer noch nicht wirklich voll war. Alles in allem war es okay, aber unsere Erwartungen wurden so gar nicht erfüllt und vor allem geschmacklich hat es uns leider nicht abgeholt. Schade!

Fulminantes Essen und außerordentlich freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Man bekommt hier wirklich das Gefühl als Gast König und jederzeit erwünscht zu sein. Das Essen ist merkbar gute Qualität und auch geschmacklich ein wahres Fest. Kann dieses Restaurant nur jedem weiterempfehlen.

Das Essen und der Service hier ist einfach großartig! Die vegetarische und vegane Auswahl sind sehr vielfältig, lecker, ausgewogen, einfach ein Genuss!! Fladenbrot wurde ohne Nachfrage von der aufmerksamen Bedienung nachgereicht, wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Sehr zu empfehlen sind auch die hausgemachten Getränke mit Zitrone oder Dattel. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir sind spontan und ohne Voranmeldung bei Safi gewesen. Die Karte ist umfangreich, die Preise vollkommen in Ordnung. Wir haben uns durch die Vorspeisen probiert und unterschiedliche fleischhaltige und fleischlose Gerichte gegessen. Das Essen war durch die Bank lecker! Besonders der Service ist hervorzuheben, da wir sehr höflich bedient wurden. Unsere Fragen zum Essen und auch den unterschiedlichen Kaffees wurden gerne und ausführlich beanwortet, sowohl der Mokka als auch der arabische Kaffee gingen aufs Haus - so geht Kundenservice! Das Ambiente ist heimelig und ansprechend. Hinweis: es gibt (konsequenterweise) keine alkoholischen Getränke auf der Karte. Wir würden in jedem Fall wieder hingehen!

Wir stolperten zufällig mit unserem kleinen, schon sehr hungrigen Sohn auf unserem Kurztrip nach Passau ins Safi und waren mehr als begeistert! jede einzelne Speise (wir hatten das Menü für 2 mit Fleisch) war so unglaublich köstlich. am liebsten hätten wir ewig weiter gegessen. auch die Getränke schmeckten besonders gut und entführten uns für den Abend nach Damaskus. und der Nachtisch…. einfach nur grandios. danke dafür! schade, dass wir so weit weg wohnen, sonst wären wir ab jede Woche hier zu Gast.

Mit unserem Besuch im Safi haben wir die damaskinische Küche zum ersten mal ausprobiert. Beim Betreten des Restaurants war unser erster Eindruck: schönes Ambiente und sehr nettes Personal. Die Speisen waren alle von sehr guter Qualität. Leider mögen wir beide den Geschmack von Tahini nicht so sehr. Darum mussten wir feststellen, dass die damaskinische Küche nicht so ganz unser Ding ist. Aber dafür kann der Koch ja nichts. Was wir aber beide sehr lecker fanden waren die Falaffel. Kannten wir bisher tatsächlich auch nicht. Als der Koch das mitbekommen hat, hat er uns doch tatsächlich noch eine Portion Falaffel aufs Haus spendiert. Das fanden wir beide unglaublich nett. Das warten definitiv nicht die letzten Falaffel, die wir gegessen haben. Wer Tahini liebt, oder die damaskinische Küche einmal probieren möchte, dem ist das Restaurant uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Uns bleibt der Besuch des Safi in sehr guter Erinnerung.

Gutes Essen. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Schönes Lokal. Es gibt keinen Alkohol. Ich fand es jedoch nicht so schlimm. Zum Abschluss bekommt man einen schwarzen Tee.

Es war unser erster Besuch und wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und bedient. Auch die für uns größtenteils fremden Speisen würden uns gut und ausführlich erklärt. Mit den Gerichten waren wir sehr zufrieden. Wir kommen wieder.
