Good food and good restaurant and staff are very economy friendly

Friendly and professional service. We had 2x chicken curry and 1x chicken korma. The former cost 13.90 each, €6 more expensive each than in the neighboring restaurant. The latter cost £9 more than the neighboring restaurant, €18.90. Sauces were tasty, rice was tasty and there was enough quantity. The chicken was translucent with a strange consistency and was sent back to the kitchen, except for 2-3 pieces each. Inedible in my opinion. I understand that food is expensive and therefore prices in restaurants are higher than they were recently. However, at an additional cost of 21€/3 people, I expect a better quality meal than "next door", where the quality is similar. I've been from Kreuzberg for 40 years and have no understanding of restaurant concepts that rely on tourists who won't come back anyway. So for me, one less restaurant that I will visit in my neighborhood.

We had just sat down and said hello when a small soup and papadum bread with 3 sauces were brought to us on the house. Then we ordered a drink and were also served a mango lassi on the house. With the menu (Shahi Kofta and Sabzi, both very tasty), we were served a Bathura bread with the usual rice at the house's expense. At the end there was a free mango schnapps. The food came quickly, even though there were many guests in the restaurant. The service was impeccable and we left the establishment completely satisfied. Price ratio is also right. Definitely worth eating there.

We were always impressed by the food. What's new and annoys me is that every time you walk past you are spoken to... I've only ever known it from very touristy areas abroad.

Served us with awesome Indian food and also with lovely service, the food was just on point as it felt so authentic and their service is also just on point.

We had a delicious business lunch with >20 attendees at Sadhu and can fully recommend the place even with a larger group.

Update : Once again I want to mention that usually the food is good from Sadhu but I am mostly writing this review to raise awareness that when somebody writes spicy, this does not mean adding a lot of chillies on top. I ordered the food and as usual everything was good but this time also I wrote indian spicy. But in the gravy I could chew the chillies, probably the ratio of curry vs chilly was 50/50 and we literally could not eat at all. My mouth is still burning.

We usually go to Sadhu at Falckensteinstraße 41 for luch as it's near to our office and you get the best food. We recently ordered food for 100 people from them for an office event, and the experience was outstanding! The food was a hit with everyone. The menu included 'Chicken Jalfrezi', 'Chicken Curry', 'Chana Masala', 'Naan', 'Rice', and the refreshing 'Mango Lassi'. Each dish was flavourful and well-prepared. The Chicken Jalfrezi and Chicken Curry had the perfect balance of spices, while the Chana Masala was a favourite amongst the vegetarians. The naan was soft and fresh, pairing perfectly with the rich curries. The Mango Lassi added a sweet, cooling finish to the meal. Overall, the quality and taste of the food exceeded our expectations, and we received nothing but positive feedback from our team. Highly recommend for individual dining or for catering large events!

Came here with my classmates for a quick drink and bite during our graduation celebration. The staff are unbelievably kind and so quick to make a big table for a big group! One of the best Indian restaurants i have tried in Germany, I ordered beriany and it was really really good, and the hot sauce I have ordered was surprisingly spicy! And service was excellent and the workers are super nice! :)

Dropped by here and it did not disappoint. The samosas were perfectly crispy, and the biryani was full of rich, authentic flavors. The place has a relaxed vibe, and the staff made us feel right at home. If you’re craving some awesome Pakistani food, this is definitely the place to go.

The food was great. Specifically, the righan josh and daal makhni were on point. If you need to enjoy real desi taste (not the blended european desi food) then its a must visit place.

I shifted to Germany a few years ago and this is my favourite Pakistani restaurant. My colleagues and I all enjoy coming here for lunch. They offer soup and mango lassi/chai (milk tea) along with the lunch. Their midday offer also includes boiled white rice and bhatura. All their food options have an authentic taste with minimal changes done to them. My favourites are Daal Makhni and Chicken Tikka.

I don't put 0 because it's not possible. €14 for three coffees, what a shame.

A Gastronomic Nightmare - Never Again! Our experience at this restaurant was nothing short of disastrous. We ordered a Daal, a Shahi Kofta, and a lentil soup for our daughter, along with one garlic naan, one batura, one cola, one water, and one chai. The Daal was an absolute disaster—it tasted burnt, and the overpowering mix of spices and chilli made it inedible. As for the Shahi Kofta, it was a joke. There were only two measly pieces of vegetarian meatballs drowning in a sea of greasy sauce that tasted like it was made from stale cream, ghee, and bland tomato paste with some half-hearted spices thrown in. The so-called 'lentil' soup for our daughter was a thick, gloopy mess that clearly relied on cheap, granular broth for flavour. The dishes were accompanied by two large portions of plain rice and a pitiful salad with wilted, lifeless leaves that should never have made it to the table. We ended up sending back two out of the three dishes we ordered. To add insult to injury, we were charged 51.40 Euros for this atrocious meal—a complete rip-off considering the abysmal quality. Avoid this place at all costs!

The portions are very generous, I recommend splitting the dishes in two. The staff is very nice, the food is very good, especially the sauce and the dressings. Excellent quality/price ratio.

Sooo we treated ourselves with a business lunch on Friday and it was my first time eating at Sadhu. I ordered Chana Masala and Samosas. Apart from the main dishes we all got lentils soup and mango lassi, nice surprise! The food was delicious. It all started with amazing soup. The rounds were served quickly. Very friendly staff. And specifically the duck dish is incredible. The food was spot on. Definitely a place worth your visit, also considering the amazing food quality for a cheap price.

We had dinner here on the occasion of a visit to the Ratibor Theater. From the multitude of restaurants we chose the Sadhu. The ambience of the area is scenic and sometimes takes some getting used to. The service wasn't always up to par. We sat outside. The menu is very extensive and so our selection took time. The dishes chosen were well prepared, very hot and absolutely delicious. The vegetarian/vegan parts of our compilation were also really tasty. The prices correspond to the quality and are more medium-term. We had a wonderful evening.

We spontaneously came over for a cocktail. Coincidentally it was happy hour (5.90€) Despite the fact that we didn't eat anything, there was bread with dip. (Very tasty) The atmosphere is very inviting, cozy and clean. Despite the happy hour, the cocktails had a good mix. (Which is not the case everywhere) The service is fast and friendly. When we're back in town we'll definitely stop by again for dinner.

Today, July 30th, 2024, we enjoyed a nice lunch at this place. We had chicken curry, lamb curry, chicken masala, two drinks, and two chai for about 60 euros. They also included two soups, two baskets of naan and rice, and three extra drinks for free. It's important to note that many of the dishes were very spicy, especially the chicken masala, which was too intense for my taste. Overindulging in spicy food can lead to discomfort later, especially for those with a lower tolerance for spice. However, my three-year-old son happily enjoyed the non-spicy chicken curry with rice. I also tried the chai, although personally, I prefer to have it after finishing my meal – the restaurant brought it at the beginning. Since it was a hot day, I couldn't handle the chai, and instead, I enjoyed a mango drink after the spicy meal. Overall, our family had a great time! 😊

Very tasty food but unfortunately the chickes was not well cooked. One piece had a lot of blood. So we had to return it. They brought ous a new one.

The best thing I had in Berlin, Germany is the food I ate in this Sadhu restaurant. It has the best and the best taste in the Berlin. This is the restaurant I would recommend for the people to have the food and u will be having it all the time when you really feel hungry. They have the only food which you will feel Full when u eat it.

Weird situation. We were out yesterday and suddenly one of the Sadhu workers started hitting an unarmed black man on the street. There was some stress and verbal aggression, but that doesn't justify the violence of using a baseball bat or hatchet handle (was confusing) as a weapon. Well... luckily, the police came, handcuffed, and arrested the Sadhu worker. Unbelievable! Never going back again.

I came here because this restaurant is halal, and I was pleasantly surprised to find it is a Pakistani restaurant. They served us an appetizer with three different sauces; be cautious with the green sauce, as it is quite spicy. I ordered the Samosa, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Butter Chicken. The Samosa was okay but could use more filling. Both the Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken were incredibly tasty, rich in the typical flavors of Indian cuisine! The prices are more affordable compared to other Pakistani or Indian restaurants in Berlin. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

Delicious food, attentive service, but noisy environment The food was very tasty. As a starter, thin flatbreads with dips were served free of charge, as well as a mixed vegetable salad to share for everyone. The main course followed promptly. In addition to many meat dishes, there are also delicious vegan and vegetarian alternatives. At the end we also received either a mango lassi or a chai latte for free. The service was very attentive, friendly and chatty. The only criticism is the restless environment. We were sitting outside and there was a van unloading on the street and across the street there was loud music and shouting to each other. However, the good food and great service make it worth another visit.

The food was great, the service was top notch, we even got some extra tea and rice from them. Extremely sweet people. We couldnt move after eating that much. We would happily recommend this place to anyone travelling to Berlin. You can't go wrong with this one!

A wonderful and distinctive restaurant

We ordered veg biryani and paneer kadai and both were literally oozing oil. Biriyani turned out to be the typical make-do one you normally get in Berlin, but was edible. Paneer kadai was decent, but way too oily for our taste. The only good thing was the chapati, it was warm and soft! Wouldn't be ordering from here anymore.

Very friendly staff. The food was served quickly even though it was very busy. The palak paneer was not too spicy and very tasty. Chicken biryani and tikka masala with extra vegetables were perfect. A mango or lychee lassi is highly recommended. Prices are great for the large portions.

Used to love Sadhu but the food is not as good as it used to be and neither the attentiveness of the service. Quite bland flavours. The mango lassi is pretty good though. In summary a very average experience which I do not necessarily recommend.

Tolles Essen, schneller aufmerksamer Service. Alles frisch, schmackhaft und schön serviert. Wir hatten eine gemischte non-vegetarische Vorspeisenplatte und eines der Thalis, also 3 unterschiedliche Gerichte: Lamm, Hühnchen und ein vegetarisches. Alles sehr lecker!
