Fast service and great food. We were on our way back to Belgium and found it on Google maps. They have a huge selection of drinks. No margaritas for the driver! The beef and chicken fajitas for two is a huge meal. We will be back.

We were coming from Pirmasens and drove into what felt like an industrial area, but it was actually OK 👍🏽 The first glance told me (in October) that I'd come back in the summer if everything was right, because I saw the outdoor terrace and found it simply inviting. The welcome at the entrance was super friendly, as you'd expect from a Mexican-American restaurant. The food was very good, the hospitality was excellent. The bar, people! I saw the bar and thought... Maybe they could make a real Caipirinha sometime... Definitely 👍🏽 Take your wife, friends, and acquaintances and go eat and drink there. Great place... I'll be back

On Monday, eight of us celebrated my daughter's 18th birthday at Sabor de Mexiko. It was a wonderful evening, simply perfect. The staff and the chef were, as always, incredibly sweet and friendly. The food arrived at the same time for everyone and was very, very delicious, as were the drinks/cocktails, etc. The quality of the food and drinks was very good, the portions were generous and plentiful, and the prices were reasonable. The highlight was a deep-fried ice cream with a sparkler and a sombrero brought to my daughter's table. She put it on, and the chef and the staff sang Happy Birthday. We and the other guests enthusiastically sang along, and at the end, everyone clapped. My daughter was so speechless and happy about it. It was a truly wonderful surprise, thank you so much. We would gladly come back anytime; I can recommend the restaurant without reservation 😊.

Food was fresh and very delicious . So many Mexican restaurants, all the dishes taste the same so it doesn’t matter what you order. This restaurant isn’t like that, and everything tastes great. Best Mai Tai in Germany!!!

We love coming here. We think the wings here are the best (of all the other Mexican restaurants in Kaiserslautern!). The staff is friendly, and the drinks are delicious, too.

This is definitely not a Mexican restaurant. The flavors are different, even for the drinks. The service was good. However, if you are craving Mexican food I recommend looking elsewhere.

I've always been very skeptical about Mexican food. But the food here was amazing. I ate there with a work colleague in the intense heat of mid-June. Despite the heat, the food was incredibly delicious, and I would go back anytime.

Fantastic sitting area with ample space both inside and outside. The decor is very well done, making the atmosphere great and homey. Went on a weekday, so it was not busy. The food was very tasty! Would definitely recommend this establishment.

No waiting, able to sit anywhere (since it was not crowded). Fresh chips and salsa served while we waited on drinks. Tuesday is currently All You Can Eat Ribs. Yum! Macho supreme with chicken ( very tender & juicy chx).

I had a fantastic experience at Sabor de Mexico ! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive particularly Lisa. The food was absolutely delicious—authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. The tacos were perfectly seasoned, and the homemade salsa had just the right amount of kick. I also appreciated the variety on the menu, including great vegetarian options. The service was quick without feeling rushed, and everything came out hot and fresh. You can tell there’s pride in every dish. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to anyone craving real, flavorful Mexican food! Gracias for a great meal!

Since it's my regular spot and I come here almost every day, I can only say I love it. The price/performance ratio is excellent! I love the cozy atmosphere. And the food is fabulous.

Very nice service. The card offers everything your heart desires. The food tasted great, large portions and any special requests were taken care of without any effort. We've always been to the Hacienda before, but at Sabor it really tastes much better and it's also much quieter there. So this restaurant is a secret favorite and we will be going there more often now. Great!!!! 5 stars from us*****

Great service, very friendly and accommodating, very tasty food, great value for money, highly recommended. In summer you can sit outside and enjoy your meal in peace, hardly any noise as it is on a cul-de-sac, hardly any traffic! Any time!

The restaurant is a bit dated. You definitely don't come here for the beautiful ambiance. It's decorated in a typically Mexican style, and Mexican music plays continuously. The service is friendly and helpful wherever possible. The food is highly recommended. Typical Mexican dishes. The pictures speak for themselves. Children's dishes are available and are well-received. The price/performance ratio is perfectly reasonable, so we highly recommend Sabor de Mecico.

We love eating here. I think it's great value for money. The food is always delicious, and the service is very pleasant and friendly. My favorite is the spare ribs with sweet honey sauce. Delicious 🤤

We're from El Paso, Texas, and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch today at this restaurant. We were a little hesitant from the outside, but when you walk through the door, you know you're in for a treat. Everything was delicious, but then, we dont like very spicy food. If you like SPICY, you might need to ask for the fire to go up. But the flavors were super good. We had burrito meals. They were both large enough to have been shared. The margarita was a "healthy" one. Definitely, check this place if you are craving some Tex-Mex!

The food was very good. The service was very nice and accommodating. The restaurant makes a clean and well-kept impression.

Fresh and good vegetables, deliciously seasoned meat or without. Typical Mexican dishes still have enough choice and you can combine them freely. There is a special offer at lunchtime. Employees are very friendly and attentive. The interior of the restaurant needs a renovation and better tables, as you don't really have any space or legroom at a table next to each other. In summary: highly recommended.

The interior is an old mess, the menu is far too extensive and has 6 pages or so. It is anything but fresh. It's not very expensive, but it is when you find out later that they have added an extra large beer to your receipt for 4.50 euros. (My own fault for finding out too late)

The service was decent; the staff were pleasant but tended to be out of sight quite often. The food was definitely not authentic Mexican, so that was disappointing. We tried the carne asada burrito, a chicken taco, and shredded beef enchilada. The carne asada was not seasoned properly and was definitely not sliced thin; it tasted ok, but not what we were expecting. The taco was flavorful but came in a hard shell, and I could have sworn the menu said it would be served in a corn tortilla. That may very well be my mistake, though. The enchilada was ok, but nothing to write home about. We also had a Modelo and frozen strawberry margarita. The margarita tasted like a Virgin drink, so I ordered an extra shot of tequila. I also tried the flan; again, it was fine, but nothing to write home about. Overall, the food isn't terrible, but it's certainly not the authentic Mexican food I was expecting. Would I return? Unlikely.

Second visit here, always greeted and seated under 5 minutes. All food is fresh and favorable. Staff is awesome!

As friendly as the Pakistani operators are, if you're looking for more than a proletarian Mallorca/Ballermann atmosphere with strawberry ice cream for dessert, you're unfortunately in the wrong place. This restaurant has as much to do with Central America as Kaiserslautern has to do with culture

I found this location difficult to rate, never happens, but now it does, everything is mediocre, the food could be much better if you create a smaller menu and focus on products that you can really put on the table, service is fine but no more than that, The atmosphere is also fine, but in my opinion it could be much better. Price/quality ratio excellent but not more than that, I would rather pay a little more and have it be absolutely great than walk out the door And think mwahhhhh. Will I go there again if the concept remains the same? That too is perhaps in the middle, perhaps not. In short, a number would be a 5.

I picked up 4 tacos and rice, 27€€€ came with cold wet salad etc. Rice was fine. I can't recommend it

Wow was impressed by my meal. Never heard of this place and decided to give it a shot. What would help is social media advertising and or better advertising for where it’s located. It’s a shame yall don’t get traffic because the food is delicious!

I stood in front of this “establishment”, threw a small cardboard box into their trash bin, two Mexicans came out to me and began to threaten me with the police because I threw my cardboard box into their paper bin. It's just terrible, I didn't expect such a reaction. I suggested to them that I could take my box so there would be no problems, but one of them called the police and took a photo of my car. I was shocked by this behavior!!!

The staff are all the best. Order Azteca Burrito with shrimp, and the 1 liter Margarita. Very addictive! The owners/managers are also willing to drive customers home if a hoopty-car dies and tow truck will not arrive until morning 😎 I know someone that happened to very closely 🤣 Thanks Sabor de Mexico! Good margaritas are difficult to find in Germany 🫡

So....where should we start.... Chips were cold and without salt. The salsa was in a small shot container... for 2 people. Then to dinner......😭😭😭 OMG......😭😭😭 The CHILI RELLENOS are pre-made...NOT FRESHLY prepared. The man who served us later admitted it himself....They are just swimming in old fat from the fryer. And lukewarm. Then add 1 tablespoon of rice and 1 tablespoon of beans. These two side dishes were also cold...the rice had a strange taste. Not to mention 2 tablespoons of mixed salad. The Grande Chimichanga was also just barely warm garnished with 1 tablespoon of salsa and 1 tablespoon of guacamole. This came out of the package. Which we observed as we left the restaurant. The same amount of rice and beans was also served with it. 😫😫😫 Go there and eat not worth it! ! ! !

Decent Tex-Mex food (better than other Tex-Mex restaurants in the K-town area). Very nice service and good atmosphere inside. Surprisingly large and good for groups. Outside seating looks like a sleepy carport, room for improvement.

The restaurant is beautifully set up. The ambience impresses with the details. Little flags here, a little decoration there. The large statue at the entrance is also not to be despised. The restaurant has an exciting peculiarity: it has small wooden blocks at every table, decorated in the national colors of the Mexican flag. If you put it upright, you signal to the staff a question or that you have a wish. She rushes over, puts the flag back horizontally and takes very loving care of the customer's needs. A great concept. You are guided through the menu in great detail. The employees are well aware of the peculiarities of the local specialties and so nothing escapes the eager minds of the employees. The food was also very, very good and even though I'm not a spicy eater, I found the spicy food very pleasant. The experience there was really fantastic. The next time I travel from Berlin I will definitely stop there.

We were very positively surprised by the good food, and the prices were also absolutely ok.

I was there once and won't go there again. The service was generally friendly, but that changed when I complained because the "pulled chicken" was cooked in tomato sauce and this isn't on the menu (it just says "chicken"). I put the tacos without tomatoes and was not informed of this. Salsa was also served as a sauce - that's not possible. The waitress just responded snidely, saying that I had already eaten the taco and that the meat was prepared this way and that. Found the behavior impossible. Retraining would be appropriate. The restaurant is not really authentic and I know better Tex Mex restaurants. My friends thought the food was quite good and had no complaints.

The restaurant is somewhat off the beaten track in Einsiedlerhof. The restaurant is larger than it looks from the outside but the atmosphere was a mix between bland and kitsch. There is outside seating, but it's like sitting in someone's driveway. The outside seating area could definately use some pepping up. The food was better than expected from my first impression; the service great and the prices reasonable.

I had the three choice lunch combo, and for the price, it was a good, filling meal. Overall, it was a good flavor and balance in the tastes and not overly salty. The free chips were a bit tough, but there was no other real complaint. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was good. All together, it's not a bad place to get some Mexican food at a good price.

Overall. Service & Atmosphere 110%. Loved the steak Fajitas. The hackfleisch (Ground meat) was a little too much seasoning. But it could be that my/our tacos are my/our specialty and nothing can compare. Just a little less seasoning on the hackfleisch and the experience would have been top notch. We sold burritos at work and paid for a mini van. When we stopped selling burritos. 3 years later people were still asking us when we we're going to make them again. Our taco meat and burrito recipe have proven surpassed restaurant quality. We hope from this review. That the restaurant take some tips to improve. Deine hackfleisch ist zu salzig (nicht böse gemeint) Diese restaurant hat volles potential, aber sie baruchen eine kleine anleitung. Bitte Wenger gewürz mit dem hackfleisch.

The main course was very tasty, but the side dishes (salad, beans and rice) were not very good. But otherwise very good. The night meal… apple turnover with ice cream. BOMB! Extremely delicious. I can only recommend.

Food is not even close to be real mexican food. Please stop your false advertising of a mexican restaurant and advertise what you really are a hindu restaurant operate by a hindu crew. Food was bland at best, horrible for the most part. Service was ok, but the meal's ingredients no one on mexico do that type of combinations.

We were there for the first time in years. We first had the nachos with ground meat and cheese and then the fajita beef. The food was nicely prepared, but I found it to be poorly seasoned. The Sabor de Mexico is somewhat remote in the Einsiedlerhof industrial area. The good: plenty of parking spaces on the street, no big traffic, lots of spaces inside and outside in summer. You are assigned a table depending on the number of people, then you get tortillas with salsa as a starter. The menu is perfect, there is something for everyone and of course everything you would expect from a Mexican restaurant. Tuesday there is all you can eat spare ribs, the next day chicken wings. Unfortunately there's only a choice of four sauces, but since I have my two favorites that's fine. Depending on the company, the service staff is on their toes. If the place is busy, you may have to wait a little longer, but everything is within reason. The volume is a bit higher because the room is large and frequented by many Americans who have louder organs anyway. Every now and then a bunch of children run past. So if you're looking for a quiet restaurant, you shouldn't necessarily go to Sabor de Mexico. Anyone who doesn't mind and likes good Mexican cuisine can safely go. Everything is at ground level, making it suitable for wheelchair users.

Visited and ate for the first time. The Diet Coke was only a little carbonated, the food wasn't hot, but the starter, shrimp in garlic, was very good.

This place used to be really good; sadly not anymore. I had a veggie quesadilla which had baked beans and canned peas, two small pieces of totally overcooked broccoli.

Have been there several times. The prices of food and drinks are really good (as of March 24). The food is very tasty and rich. The service is exceptionally good. Very attentive and polite. There are enough parking spaces on the street. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends.
