Ein sehr us-amerikanisiertes TexMexLokal. Die Speisen wurden definitiv auf us-amerikanische Wünsche angepasst und sind wenig authentisch, durchweg sehr fettig und wenig gewürzt. Man bekommt es zuhause besser hin. Man sollte sich ein Beispiel von El Taqito aus Karlsruhe nehmen. Habe schon oft in ganz Deutschland beim Mexikaner gegessen. Das war das schlechteste Mexikanische Essen. Die Salsa ist quasi ausschließlich aus pürierte Dosentomaten - was man schmeckt - und von Koriander, Schärfe oder gut gewürztem authentischen Geschmack ist wenig da. Habe die Bedingung nach Schärfe gefragt, habe gewartet aber nix bekommen.

I used to love coming here, until today, as I was finishing my last drink and finished paying my check there was a mouse walking around.

The decoration is very cute, but the price-performance ratio is not okay. Normally you get a free appetizer at the Mexican restaurant, but here you don't get anything like that. For the fajitas, rice and beans (normally included!) have to be paid extra at €5.50. It all tastes somehow the same and not particularly outstanding. Hot sauces or spices are missing on the table. I don't understand all the good reviews, there are many other restaurants where you can get better food for less money. Plus points only because of the waitresses, they were really nice, quick and always there!

Nothing about this restaurant feels authentic. If you're not turned off by the Mexican pirate standing up front, walk in to sit at a dirty table in a dusty, dark restaurant. The decor feels disingenuous and stereotypical, some of which looks like it's falling apart. The salsa is more like tomato sauce than salsa. Another salsa we had was like gravy. Food is improperly seasoned. Tacos loaded with cheese? Prices are high for what you're getting. I don't know what these other reviews are talking about regarding authenticity but they are obviously not from Mexico. When have hard shell tacos ever been considered authentic? There are better Mexican food options in the area! I am pretty surprised by how professional and graceful the owner is in their response to my review, though. From here on out, I will be referred to as the prophet.

Best Mexican we've ever been to :) everything was great

Food is pretty bland. They also messed up my salad which I asked for no cheese on. I asked them to fix it and they just scooped it out and there was still some cheese in it. So I asked them to remake it and they did, I shouldn't have had to ask for it to be remade. I'm fortunate I don't have an allergy but they should be more careful.

Very good food and good service just a bit noisy

The food was tasty but could have been spiced up a bit more. The service and waiting time were really bad, I've never had food so quickly. The maximum stay is 2 hours, which I think is a bit stupid if you want to eat comfortably and you feel pressured. We only had 15 minutes left with dessert.

Found the food subpar. A ready-made mush. It annoyed me to spend money on it. It's super loud and dirty. The "decoration" next to the table was broken and dusty. Simply focused on mass production rather than ambience and class.

The best Mexican restaurant I've been to so far and the service was super friendly and helpful. We will be back definitely. The only negative point was that it was relatively noisy and you should reserve a table in advance as it gets quite crowded towards the evening.

A very Americanized TexMex joint. The service and also the drinks are very good. The dishes were definitely adapted to American wishes and are not very authentic, very fatty and not very seasoned. The salsa is almost exclusively pureed canned tomatoes - which you can taste - and there is little of coriander, spiciness or well-seasoned authentic taste. The portions are quite large and the price is relatively normal. The furnishings/decoration are very stereotypical and the atmosphere is very loud and American but I guess that is also the main clientele here. Good for family celebrations or when you're drunk and feel like eating a lot quickly. Authentic Mexican experience, not so much. But this is certainly all a matter of personal preference.

Know that this isn’t real Mexican food or even Tex-Mex. The food is very bland and not much flavor to it. The tables are squeezed in and it’s always pretty busy. The chips and salsa were a disappointment, more like store bought and stale. Even the “spicy” salsa didn’t have much flavor. The taco and enchilada both had some more seasoning but very small. All the people working were very friendly and our server was great! If I crave Mexican food again and don’t have time to cook it, would I go back? Yes, it’s definitely better than the other Mexican restaurants in the area.

Attractive atmosphere with very friendly and attentive service. The menu reads deliciously, but the food was below average, quite carelessly prepared and almost tasted like it had been warmed out. It was clearly too expensive for what was offered.

We know the Mexican from “back in the day” from several visits 10-15 years ago. When we were there again yesterday for a long time, I have to say that we were really impressed. It has been beautifully renovated, you feel really comfortable, the service is always very friendly and you don't have to wait long :) But you should definitely pre-order. In my opinion, an insider tip and price-performance test winner :) is the skewer with beef and mustard-jalapeño sauce!! Definitely give it a try…

Went in here for water, best water I've had. Thank you so much. I'm a water enthusiast, I love water, water is my passion, water is my life. I live, I breath, I sleep water. Water is the essence of my being, and the reason for my existence. I often think about water, and dream about water. I was so happy to see water on the menu, and did not hesitate in ordering the water. Andrew Tate is a hero of mine, and he often advocates the drinking of water. The food and service as well as the time it takes for the food to be served are top notch! The only thing I can complain about is the parking options, which are very limited.

The service is very friendly. The selection of dishes is large. (Also suitable for vegans!😊) The food is served quickly and tastes good. The portions are sufficiently large.

I have been visiting this restaurant regularly for many years and am happy to recommend it :-) I particularly like that they prepare almost all dishes vegetarian if requested. The cocktails are also highly recommended.

Probably the closest to Tex-Mex here in Germany that I've had. The salsa could be a little more spicy, but it was ok. Beef enchiladas were good, kids cheese enchiladas were good, everything was good. I will say it is not the best Tex Mex I've ever had, but it scratches the itch for the time being.

Busy on a Saturday but got seated within 30 mins. The waiter was very nice and attentive. The food was a bit on the bland side. Though that can be said for most places in Germany as spice is scary it seems. Otherwise it was fine. I'll return and try something a bit different for a second opinion.

Overprice and small portions. I ordered 3 drinks for kids and waitress decided to bring me the large drinks for kids. which was 4.50 Euro each drink. I ordered tostadas for me and they were such a joke the size of each tostada is like a miniature tostada for a kid. All the good reviews that this place has I guess they don't know what good Mexican food taste like.

Totally subjective, I just don't know much about Mexican cuisine. Salsa Verde was awesome, Nacho Supreme too. Food more like 4.5 than 4 stars Service and ambience also great!

The food is better than the competition. What I always find difficult is that I don't go to the Mexican restaurant very often and I'm always slightly overwhelmed by the menu. You should look at the map in advance. Maybe an idea for the owner, separating the card into only German and only English makes it clearer. Then I would put a current map online so that you can work with it. But everything else was really good and tasted good. I'll definitely come back when I'm in the area.

Wir waren das erste Mal in der Kantine. Von außen war es für uns nicht wirklich ansprechend. Wir haben uns doch entschieden, hineinzugehen und waren richtig begeistert. Nicht nur vom Ambiente und dem Service, sondern vor allem wegen dem Essen. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Es ist jedoch zu empfehlen, zu reservieren, wir hatten Glück, dass wir ohne Anmeldung überhaupt einen Tisch bekommen haben.

They had great food! I got their Burrito Podres which was delicious, I also got their Sweet Iced Tea which was the perfect amount of sweetness to tea ratio, and the salsa that came with the chips was absolutely amazing! Their service was also great! The servers juggled their tables well and came by the table pretty often to check on us. Aswell as the food was quite quick to come out!

Wer TexMex liebt, ist hier genau richtig. Top, dank Nähe zur Base sehr authentisch. Bei jedem Besuch in Kaiserslautern ein Pflichttermin!

Waren gestern zum ersten Mal mexikanisch essen. Ich kann CANTINA MEXIKANA nur empfehlen. Sehr gutes Essen,super Bedienung......(Bedienung hat uns etwas von der Speisekarte empfohlen und es hat mega geschmeckt) In diesem Ambiente hatten wir auch viel Spass

Reichhaltige Auswahl an mexikanischen Speisen. Guter Service, mehrsprachig und freundlich. Man muss nicht lange warten und es ist recht günstig.

Wir kommen sehr gerne hier her. Das Essen schmeckt immer klasse. Besonders empfehlen können wir das Appetizer Sampling, Burrito Grande und Lachs Fajita. Der Eistee wird kostenlos nachgefüllt. Das Servicepersonal ist immer freundlich und gut gelaunt.

Best Mexican in the area but DO NOT GET THE QUESO! It is the opposite of the delicious queso in the states.

Sehr gut hier gegessen heute Abend. Alles top! Ambiente sehr schön (wir saßen im Mittelteil des Lokals) Essen sehr lecker! Der Bier Eimer war super und ist sehr zu empfehlen. Preis Leistung war voll OK. Den besten Tequila ever getrunken! Alles in allem ist ein Abendessen hier sehr zu empfehlen.

Sehr leckeres Essen und top Team Auf Empfehlung von freunden waren wir in dem Restaurant Cantina Mexicana in KL- Einsiedlerhof zu Gast. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und uns ein Tisch zugewiesen. Das Essen, wir hatten (nur Mittwochs) BBQ Ribs, all you can eat und Nachos Supreme, alles sehr lecker zubereitet, die BBQ Ribs wurden immer nachgelegt, Eistee für unser Sohn der Gratis nachbestellen konnte, Dankeschön! Das Team war sehr locker drauf und sehr hilfsbereit, so soll es sein. Kostenloses parken vor Ort. Sehr gerne kommen wir wieder hier her und empfehlen das Mex. Restaurant weiter

Excellent food, drinks, and service. Tamale was authentic and fresh. Shredded chicken and shredded beef tacos were delicious and well balanced with all contents. Taquitos we’re well seasoned and served with a very tasty mild salsa. Ground beef enchilada had the perfect amount of sauce, and the beef was well seasoned. Everything came out quickly and the perfect temperature. Jalapeño, strawberry, and mango margaritas were unique and contained the perfect amount of tequila. Great experience. Will return often. Subsequent trip was just as great as the first. If thinner chips (like Chili’s) are what you’re used to, prepare to be down with the thiccness if you order the chips and salsa. Salsa is good, balanced between being runny and chunky. I got the 8 tacos, and they were great. Sampled all three, and they were all good. I rank them: shredded chicken (perfect seasoning), shredded beef (much better than the birria place up the road), and ground beef (I mean, it’s ground beef, so it would have to be unequivocally bussin to rank higher than the shredded options).
