Benji's Burrito Bistro in Kaiserslautern

Street sweeper is 10/10! So so good. My husband got it the first time we came, and after I tried it, I didn’t want anything else! The kids love the steak quesadillas, and we love that they also have a corner of toys for the kids to play.

Solid place. A little boujee but it's cool nonetheless. It's a bit on the pricey side, but you can't get anything like that around here.

Benji's is an amazing spot for lunch or dinner. If you go in hungry you will definitely leave full. Similar to Chipotle but in my opinion it is light-years better. The steak did not have any fat and wasn't as chewy and the chicken melts in your mouth. As we walked up we could tell this was a good choice since the line was wrapping around the lobby. Plenty of seating on ground level and upstairs. We will return for Benji's every time we're visiting Ramstein!

Born and raised in California, this place is a clutch go-to for actual Mexican food that's quick and quality, for dine in, or take away. I've lived here for 4.5 years and there aren't any Mexican food restaurants who actually serve Mexican food because they have adapted the taste to the palate of the local people here. I am very thankful for a place like Benji's where they keep it authentic, and the people are also always kind, professional, and social - while dishing up healthy potions with a smile. All the thumbs all the way up 🔥

I love this store. Whether it's a burrito/quesadia or a bowl, everything is super fresh and basically great. My favorite is the Critical and since the Crispy Wrap a lot of love for the Benjis team stays that way. Even if I no longer live nearby, a detour here is always worthwhile.

As a hispanic person this place hit the spot. The flavors were all there. I'd give it a 5th star but it is a bit pricey. 100% recommend if you have an itch for some great hispanic food.

Food is okay, but I got a bowl to go and accidentally locked myself out of my apartment. I thought it’s fine cuz I have a food to sit and eat while I wait but they didn’t give me any fork or napkins for that matter. Now I’m stuck alone, cold and hungry.

Always fresh, delicious food, great value for money. Creating your own bowl/ burrito is a fantastic option.

Honestly, can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place in the 3 years I lived in Germany. Truly the best place for a healthier food option. My husband and I went so often that the usual workers knew our order 😭 they were truly the best. Benjis gives huge portions, they offer to give you a small sample to try something before putting it on your bowl/burrito. On top of that, they’re also coming up with limited items, such as the Crunchwrap or delicious dessert. They also offer kids sizes (bowls, burritos, quesadillas) if you don’t want the large size! Affordable, takes cash or card, with plenty of seating inside. We’re back in the States and miss Benji’s Burrito SOOOO much already!!

If you enjoy dining, this is the perfect place to visit. You can watch your meal being prepared and choose your ingredients....be prepared to want more when you're finished.

Food was fresh, delicious and worth every cent. The service was great too, however, asking for tips in a burrito place is kinda iffy.

Unfortunately very salty and not authentic...we ordered a burrito to take away. The order was delivered to us lukewarm, almost cold, wrapped in aluminum foil and would therefore not have been suitable for immediate consumption. We then warmed up the burrito at home in the microwave...not my idea of ​​good Mexican. Eat. Never again.

¡Delicioso! BENJIS is by far our favorite plac3 to eat in the KMC area. The food is so flavourful and good and the staff are wonderful. The portions are huge, you will leave stuffed and probably with left overs ! They have a little corner for kids to play while the parents just hangout. Atmosphere is calm and too easy to just relax and enjoy wonderful food here ! Definitely stop by, big plus is they are open daily!!!!! Which means great place to stop by on Sundays.

Terrific ! Authentic burritos, tacos, etc., made to order, with a wide range of ingredients/options (each one well prepared in itself). The grape salsa was absolutely amazing, I'll be back for that alone!!! Price-performance ratio very good.

Loved the burritos!! The ingredients are fresh and tasty. The size is more than average. I loved the horchata. Tried it for the first time and can’t wait to go back for more. The service was great too and it didn’t take that long.

We got burritos and nachos on Friday. There is a huge fresh selection of meat, sours and toppings. In terms of the ordering system, it is structured like a sub...w. The service is friendly and unfortunately mostly only speaks English but it works well with hands and feet :) The burritos/nachos were a dream in terms of taste and size. The steak in the burrito was particularly perfect and with the delicious grape salad inside it was awesome. It still tasted good the next day. I think it's also in the normal price range. We will definitely come more often! Another store is opening in the city center.

Absolutely best wings in town! I was looking for really good chicken wings - and this restaurant more than exceeded my expectations! The wings are simply perfect: crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and with a selection of delicious sauces that leave nothing to be desired. The smack sauce especially blew me away! The service was also first class – super friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is cozy and invites you to linger. If you're looking for the best wings in town, you should definitely stop by here. I'll definitely be back!

Great quality and fast service, best burrito I’ve had in Europe.

It was my first time having lunch here and what can I say, WOW and great food, it really tasted very good and I was able to have it prepared individually. Very nice staff and cool atmosphere. I was just a bit surprised that I had to pay an extra €3.50 for eating in the house because I had to pick up the food at the counter myself and then clear it away myself, but that was bearable because everything else was great.

I've been wanting to come here and try it for a while, and now it finally worked. The possibilities for individually putting together a Burito are huge. There are also other dishes that you can put together. But I came here specifically for the buritos, so I had a big fat burito made for me. You can really choose a lot of ingredients, some of them cost extra, such as: Guacamole. In the end I ended up with €15.50 for a burito, without a drink, fries or anything else. It tasted really good and really big. However, I found €15.50 a bit much for a burito.

Unfortunately, the menu is completely in English and the staff can't speak a bit of German (which is simply outrageous) just because you've occupied half the city doesn't give you the right not to have to adapt. Integrate yourself, like everyone else. The food is top at good prices. Everything fresh and super seasoned. Very interesting.

The service and ambience were great, the taste was completely overrated in my opinion, so it's definitely not for me, the burrito was way too full, you can hardly eat it, the taste was pretty average. Queso sauce consists almost entirely of fat. Unfortunately, the parking lot is far too small for the amount of customers, and the price is also significantly too high

A Mexican-style restaurant in Germany that's... actually good?!? As it turns out, it's actually possible! Benji's reminds me a lot of Chipotle from the US. Like the big chain restaurant, it's not really traditional Mexican but instead it's Cali style burritos and bowls. There are some items you wouldn't find at the big chain in the US, and that's a good thing. The Fire salsa (sauce) is hot enough to scratch any spicy itch. Though I didn't try it in it's own, the guac seemed to be right on point. I tried the carnitas burrito with a PSL horchata, both were excellent and I highly recommend stopping in.

Just fantastic, I always get the burritos, and they are always supremely tasty. Portion size is great, and quality is on point every time I come here. I have no idea how they manage to get all that food wrapped up, but their technique is impeccable. If only they had a location closer to Stuttgart, although probably a good thing they don't as I wouldn't be able to resist coming by.

Great bistro with food to take away but also to linger. You can choose the burritos yourself from different ingredients and sauces and have them put together. Overall, the burritos are big and tasty!

This was excellent. I hesitate writing about it, because I want it all for myself! Seriously, if you like good Tex-Mex food, this place offers only a few base orders, with lots of filling/topping options (most, if not all, made in house). And they dont skimp on portion size. I ordered a burrito, and it was legitimately enough food for an entire day. Staff was super friendly. The vibe of the restaurant was equally cool. Do yourself a favor and make a trip there.

Cowboy quesadilla, queso mixed with ground beef, the guacamole, the fire salsa were all phenomenal. This place is the best Mexican food I have had to enjoy in Germany. A feeling of home for me. If you are having separation anxiety from Chipotle then you will find sanctuary here. It is the same Subway assembly line model that you would expect. The portion size of the burritos are huge. If the flavor matched the size it would be very indulgent. However, there is a lot to be missed by way of flavor. The meat options all resemble the culinary expertise of a military DFAC. it is overcooked and under seasoned, or no seasoning. The sauces are vinegar based and pungent. The sauces are mass produced versions of bottled hot sauces you can buy at the store. They don’t taste fresh. The hottest option is manageable, but the flavor is equivalent to a bottle of those prank sauces that are intended to only be hot with no flavor. Don’t ask for hot. It’s not worth it and it will ruin any attempts at flavor on your meal. The staff is pretty rigid. Your money is obviously welcomed, but your actual presence there is questionable lol. Perhaps a drive-thru would be better suited so you don’t feel like you are putting the staff at an imposition. That would alleviate the awkwardness of not really feeling welcomed.

The food is super delicious. There is a lot to choose from. So many different ways to put together your meal.

This place gets a solid five stars for German location of Mexican food. I know there’s a lot better Mexican food out there in the world but this isn’t Mexico or Texas.

Man! The food was delicious with a great staff! The margaritas are what sold me, though! Whoever mixed it up had a great hand! Fresh veggies with well seasoned meat! Jalapeños were the only thing I didn't really care for because they were cut way too big!

I bought a Burrito Bowl with steak to go. I loved all the options to put on top. That's always my favorite part about a burrito/taco/bowl. The options to make it unique. When I did not fill the bowl, the lovely lady offered to put more rice or something else. I declined the offer, but I like that she considered my value as a customer.

I mean the food is very delicious but why would I pay 1 euro more for sitting and you ask me for tip while there is no service, and food being served in cheap plastic bowls? And you have to clean it yourself afterwards and order yourself . Not to recommend honestly

First time trying their burrito and it was on point. I ordered two chicken burritos with rice, black beans, salad and cheese, absolutely delicious. Since we was first in line we was in and out within minutes.Very friendly staff.

I can only recommend Benij's burrito!😍 We've eaten there several times or taken it away and every time it's been so tasty, fresh and you're really full afterwards. Since you can choose which ingredients you want, there is something for everyone. The burritos are one of the best we've eaten and the loaded queso is really tasty too. The employees are also very nice and accommodating. The parking lot is a bit small, but you can park on the street and walk there. We like coming there.
