Sababa in Berlin

Der Service war super. Allerdings schmeckte der Falafel nach Pappe. Es fehlte etwas Petersilie. Er wirkte nicht authentisch. Der Hummus war zwar gut, aber er schmeckte billig und wurde mit Erdnüssen verdünnt, um den Tahini-Geschmack zu ersetzen. Außerdem fehlte Olivenöl oder war nur spärlich vorhanden. Die Atmosphäre wirkt auch etwas altmodisch. Es ist immer leer, dunkel und abgenutzt.

Ich habe Falafel mit Baba Ghanoush probiert und es war sehr lecker. Ich war überrascht, dass mir die Falafel sogar noch besser geschmeckt haben als das Ghanoush, denn ich bin eigentlich ein großer Auberginenfan. Der Koch war sehr engagiert, der Kellner könnte etwas enthusiastischer sein.

Dieses Restaurant ist ein Muss für alle, die das authentische Ambiente und das Essen lieben. Besonders zu empfehlen sind der köstliche Falafel, der Hummus und die anderen Gerichte. Hervorragender Service.

Köstliches Essen, freundlicher Service, eine kleine schattige Ruheoase, bevor auf der restlichen Kastanienallee der Trubel losgeht, so haben wir es heute Mittag erlebt. Die Falafel waren sooo gut!!

Falafel Sababa ist das beste Restaurant bezüglich Falafel, Hummus und Brot, das ich je besucht habe. Geschmacklich ist es einfach nicht zu übertreffen, die Portionen sind gut und für diesen Preis einfach nicht zu toppen. Ich komme immer wieder gerne her.

I have to say, I have tried loads of falafel from different places and this one blew my mind away. We ate a sandwich which had this rounded small falafel with a very special taste and the anode a salad that together with the falafel made and explosion in our mouths. Congratulations!! Super friendly crew/owners, simple menu. This is something else, no joke! Thx!!

I had a bad feeling about sitting there: dead flowers in old water on the table. The waiter, who was also working in the kitchen, seemed unmotivated and not particularly accommodating. We ordered the falafel plate for two people (20 euros). We were served a large plate of hummus, with about 20 small falafel carelessly stacked on top, along with some salad. The falafel were too small and tasted only of fried fat. The hummus, salad, and the two pitas were fine. We didn't see the waiter outside again, even though we were practically the only customers and sat there for quite a while. It's a shame – the restaurant is actually in a good location, and you can sit outside for a nice meal. But the staff is unfriendly and unmotivated, and the falafel tastes completely unimpressive.

A small, modest but high-quality neighborhood establishment where locals gather. Small tables and benches/stools. The two chefs are busy behind the counter working with fresh produce. The cuisine is simple, balanced, and tasty. The falafels are excellent. The dishes are well-served.

This place has probably the best falafel around and even in Berlin, small, fresh and crunchy. It also offers Mussabaha, an "upgrade" of hummus difficult to find in Berlin. The con is preparing everything fresh, tell him if and how much garlic you want!

hello, long-established and established business in a very central location in the middle of Mitte, parking is challenging, travel is recommended by public transport, the business is connected to the tram and subway within striking distance. Price level is rather ambitious, but one should consider the situation.

The falafel is so delicious The eggplant was a bit sour for me, but it was cooked well. If you find Berlin food too salty, I recommend the falafel here!

2021. In Berlin, you can have high standards for some things and more forgiving for others. In Berlin, the Middle East is about as represented as blondes on Iceland's Miss iceland pageant. So the standards are high here. Sababa does many things right. The falafel is small but very satisfying; the eggplant is generous, cooked well, but a bit thin on the smokiness that delayed service can bring. The hummus is decent, though the salad is rudimentary. The bread is about 12 hours old and served as cold as a corpses hand after the same delay. The service, while friendly, is a little random. For some reason, yoghurt drinks or any Middle Eastern drinks are relinquished to oblivion on the very limited menu. This is a good eating place, and the prices are reasonable for chic prenzlauerberg. The place itself is about as well cared for as a convicted thief in Mogadishu. It wouldn't take much to make it presentable.

We ate here based on the reviews and weren't disappointed! Everything is freshly made, the falafel is to die for and the entire dish was super delicious. As in previous reviews, the hummus is super soft and delicious. We often walked past the restaurant because it looks so inconspicuous. But luckily we ended up here. The prices are reasonable and the staff is super friendly/nice. The food came quickly. It's definitely not the last time we've been there and we can highly recommend it.

Our absolute favorite place to eat. We eat there almost every week. The falafel are soft and fluffy, the salad is fresh and for me personally the best thing is the pita, which is reminiscent of stick bread on school trips. The prices are super good for this quality.
