Restaurant Merhaba in Berlin

Wir hatten einen fantastischen Abend hier. Das Restaurant überzeugt mit einer wunderbar gemütlichen Atmosphäre, die sofort zum Wohlfühlen einlädt. Besonders begeistert waren wir von der großen Vorspeisenplatte. Die Auswahl an verschiedenen Cremes, gefüllten Weinblättern und frischem Brot war nicht nur schön angerichtet, sondern hat auch hervorragend geschmeckt. Die Qualität der Speisen war durchweg ausgezeichnet. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Vielen Dank für den rundum gelungenen Besuch!

Es ist der perfekte Ort für ein Abendessen und lange Gespräche; die Atmosphäre ist sehr warm und einladend. Die Kerzenbeleuchtung ist wunderschön. Es mag etwas teuer erscheinen, aber das Ambiente und das Essen sind es absolut wert. Wir waren begeistert! 🌸

Ich musste dringend auf eine Toilette, und nachdem mich 2 Restaurants in der Umgebung ablehnten wurde sie mir hier wie selbstverständlich angeboten. das sagt nichst über das Essen, das ich nicht kenne, aber es sagt etwas über freunliches und menschliches Verhalten, das man auch loben sollte. Danke nochmal. :)

Was für eine tolle Idee, dass unser Hotel uns nicht zum Abendessen einquartieren konnte! So haben wir dieses Restaurant entdeckt! Eine wunderbare Entdeckung! Der herzliche Empfang, das köstliche Essen und der diskrete, aber aufmerksame Service der Inhaber haben uns begeistert! Wow, es war einfach himmlisch! Die Minz-Joghurt-Sauce war ein Traum! Auch der Rest des Essens war hervorragend. Vielen Dank auch für die netten französischen Worte, die wir während der Unterhaltung ausgetauscht haben. Wir können Merahba wärmstens empfehlen!

Ich habe Hähnchen mit Reis und Gemüse bestellt. Vor der Bestellung wurde mir gesagt, dass es Hähnchenbrust sein wird, aber ich habe Hähnchenfilet bekommen, was ein großer Unterschied ist und nicht das war, was versprochen wurde. Der Reis war außerdem mit etwas billig wirkender Pasta gemischt. Das Brot war trocken und das Gemüse sah sehr einfach und nicht frisch aus. Für diesen Preis – sogar eine kleine Flasche Wasser war teuer – war die Qualität sehr enttäuschend. Leider kann ich dieses Restaurant nicht empfehlen.

Der Besitzer schien Türken nicht zu mögen. Wir grüßten und erklärten, dass wir da waren. Widerwillig wies er uns unsere Plätze zu. Er kam nicht einmal herüber, um uns zu begrüßen. Das Ambiente war angenehm. Das Steak war auch gut. Die Tomatensuppe hingegen war nicht gut. Das Brot war frisch, die Tischdecken schön, und es gab Kerzen und Rosen auf dem Tisch. Es lief türkische Instrumentalmusik. Das Restaurant liegt ganz in der Nähe meines Hotels, aber ich werde nicht wieder hingehen. Mir gefiel der Empfang einfach nicht. Ich fühlte mich als Türkin unerwünscht. Vielleicht lag es daran, dass ich der einzige Gast war. Es gab auch Raki. Mir wurde später klar, dass ich ihn nicht getrunken hatte, weil mir die Einstellung des Besitzers nicht gefiel. Ich würde so ein Restaurant nicht besuchen, selbst wenn das Essen fantastisch wäre, wenn die Besitzer nicht einmal ihre eigenen Landsleute grüßen können.

Cozy little place, nice to escape the busy & loud city. The food was good, but not particularly special like other reviews indicated. In summary, it’s been a pleasant experience but not particularly great. Especially the food/price ratio was not so great. 3 little skewers with lamb ( filled with pieces of vegetables) and some grilled vegetables with bread and some grilled vegetables for 23€.

The food was absolutely perfect, and the lady who served us was very kind and attentive! I’m glad we decided to visit this place. During our entire stay in Berlin, we came here every day for dinner.

I visited this restaurant for the first time by chance and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was delicious, and the service, despite their advanced age, was so kind and hardworking...many young women could learn a thing or two from them. I highly recommend it...thank you for the wonderful evening and the delicious food!

Wow, that was a great experience. The service, the food... but the best was the presence of Mehmed, the owner. So kind and friendly, he joined our table, so we had the opportunity to share so many anecdotes and stories about his loved Kurdistan. He offered us shots and dessert and of course a great moment.

Fantastic food and very reasonable prices. Ignore the dated decor - the food is worth it, especially if you are craving vegetables or fish after a meat filled diet in Berlin. I had the stuffed courgette which was huge and my husband had the John Dory fish. Delicious - would highly recommend.

A restaurant that more than deserves a 100% positive review! The service is incredibly warm, welcoming, and everyone is always up for a good, friendly, and fun conversation. They never seem stressed or rushed. The food is also incredibly delicious! The portions of the main courses are just right, so there's plenty of room for a delicious dessert and/or starter! Everything is completely reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is medium-sized, and there's NO intrusive music or boring radio tunes playing, just something quiet. All in all, a lovely, worthwhile restaurant that's worth supporting! We always enjoy coming back! You're amazing, and we hope you stay with us for a long time to come!

The family that runs this restaurant is so helpful and accommodating, especially for families with children. The food is amazing, especially the lamb and chicken, and the atmosphere is homey and relaxing - an oasis of calm from the hustle and bustle of the street. Everyone should come here. We will definitely come again!

Had passed this restaurant many times wondering what 'Oriental and Mediterranean' meant. Had tender lamb steak which was as good as any lamb steak I've had. The waitress was very welcoming and helpful. I had a glass of Turkish red wine which was very nice. There were very few customers at the time I was there . I will go again if I am visiting Berlin.

The place was across the street from our hotel and we decided to check it, what a great finding it was. The atmosphere is very cozy, feels like home, with vintage piano, clock and a lot of plants. I ordered the trout and it was very tasty: fresh, beautifully seasoned, and cooked just right. What we completely didn’t expect, is that it’s a family run restaurant. The family who runs the restaurant are incredibly kind and genuine. You can tell they put so much heart into what they do, from the food to the service. This spot is a total gem for anyone who loves Turkish or Mediterranean cuisine. Can’t recommend it enough!

Zum 5 mal innerhalb 6 Jahren besuche ich dieses Restaurant für ein Togo dinner weil mir die Atmosphäre, die Pflanzen und die familaire Atmosphäre gefallen. Leider muss ich zum 5. Mal feststellen das das Essen extrem überteuert ist und einfach nicht gut. Ich hatte aubergine Schiffchen vegetarisch mit Brot und Salat bestellt. Es kamen 5 abgebrannt fade aubergine Buletten mit ja wunder einen frischen Salat und ein halbes Fladenbrot Für 16.00 Euro ist das ein nogo.

We went there without a reservation, but still got a table. The friendly waitress said that it might take a while to order, but we had time. We ended up ordering a grill plate for 2 people with vegetables. The meat was deliciously prepared and the vegetables were also grilled. We didn't touch any bread because we were full. We give it a full recommendation.

Great experience! The owner made the effort to speak to us in French. Delicious cuisine with fresh, quality products (it even looks like grandma's cooking, super comforting!). The restaurant was not particularly full when we came but it allowed us to have a great evening with friends and the owner was able to take the time to chat with us. I recommend! THANKS !

Great food! Absolutely recommended!

Everything here was exceptional. The couple who run this restaurant were lovely and warm. Great atmosphere and all the food was so delicious. I ordered the lamb steak which was perfectly cooked and so tender. This dinner was one of, if not the best I’ve had in Germany.

Delicious/ Lecker. This has to be one of the best restaurants I have been to. The environment, the service and the food/drink were exceptional. Vegan/vegetarian food available with clear lists of allergens shown which makes life very easy. It is without a doubt the most child friendly restaurants I have been to, with books available and also a willingness by the staff to adapt for children. Exceptional food and a great place, I highly recommend going if you are in Berlin!

Went there with friends and had a wonderful evening in a cozy atmosphere with really tasty traditional food, a good atmosphere and very nice and attentive hosts. We felt completely at home and are always happy to come back.

The Merhaba restaurant is no longer an insider tip for authentic Turkish cuisine but the number 1 address, at least for me! The lentil soup was spicy and creamy, the stuffed and breaded artichoke hearts were tender and aromatic. The lamb skewers were tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned - you can taste the attention to detail. Tesekürler.

It is the best place to eat and dine in Berlin, it is the second time I come to this city and I will always return to this place, quiet, comfortable, great service, excellent. I recommend it to everyone. I never leave reviews because something always goes wrong, but this site deserves it, it's perfect.

Turkish restaurant in Berlin, almost all of the customers are German, but there is Turkish cuisine inside, the music is similar to Turkish Classical music, the atmosphere is wonderful. The interest and concern was very good. They did their best to make us satisfied. He won our hearts with his last raki offering :) I recommend it, we had a pleasant dinner with my family. Wir haben hier ausgezeichnet gegessen. Die Vorspeisenplatte ist ein Gedicht. Zum Nachtisch unbedingt die Dessertplatte wählen, einfach nur lecker. Das Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich und die Besitzer sehr um ihre Gäste bemüht. Dieses Lokal unbedingt bei einem Betlin-Besuch einplanen.

We had a very pleasant evening: delicious food, friendly and welcoming staff who made the effort to speak French!! We had 2 starters and 3 different dishes, everything was excellent for a very affordable price. We will return there before leaving Berlin!

We were there spontaneously shortly after 10 p.m. with 5 people. We were welcomed very nicely, the food came quickly, the portions were very good for the price and it was very tasty.

If you are in the Alexander platz area in Berlin, you should definitely try it once. It is rare to find such a friendly and delicious place. Afterwards, every time you come to Berlin, you will make time and come.

Super leckeres, authentisches Essen in familiärer Atmosphäre. Wir waren zu dritt dort und sämtliche Speisen waren sehr schmackhaft und wurden mit natürlichem Charme serviert. Wir haben uns wirklich willkommen und gut umsorgt gefühlt. Von der Begrüßung bis zur Verabschiedung spürte man eine herzliche Gastlichkeit, was heutzutage in der Gastronomie, insb. in Großstädten, eine Seltenheit ist.

Fuimos a este lugar porque quedaba cerca del alojamiento y me causaba curiosidad la fusión de gastronomía. Nos pedimos 3 platos vegetarianos (no recuerdo el nombre, pero era de alcachofas, berenjena y albóndigas) y pan. Las 2 camareras (la chica joven y la mujer mayor) fueron muy atentas. La calidad era buena pero, en mi opinión, faltaba un poco más de cantidad por el precio que era. Igualmente, todo estaba buenísimo.

Leider wurden wir neben die Tür zum Raucherkabuff platziert, immer, wenn die Tür geöffnet wurde, kam ein Schwall Rauch heraus. Dort wurde auch verzehrt, ich dachte immer, dass das unzulässig ist. Das Essen war sehr lecker und das Personal freundlich.

Das Essen war extrem lecker. Nur die Bedienung hätte etwas aufgeschlossener sein können. Ein Lächeln wäre auch sehr schön gewesen. Aber sonst war es wirklich sehr schön. Wir werden wiederkommen.

Eten was lekker, al kreeg ik het bijgerecht (salade) niet geserveerd. Ik heb er ook niet meer om gevraagd trouwens. Bediening was erg traag.

Sehr sehr nette Bedienung! Essen war auch lecker aber für den Preis kann man ruhig Bissen mehr aufs Teller packen . Hatte einen Hähnchen Kotelett bestellt und da war nur wirklich Reis und ganz wenig Soße als Beilage drauf , Bissen Salat dazu hätte die Sache viele schöne gemacht .

Warm service in a homely restaurant - great for the nostalgic traveller who misses grandma's cooking. Many meat and vegetarian options. If you are a meat eater, I highly recommend the mixed lamb platter (pictured). The Borek is also delicious (also pictured).

Komplett veraltetet und heruntergekommenes Restaurant und unangenehm gerochen. Reservierung erfolgte über die App DiscoEat. Die Preise im Lokal waren bis zu 60% teurer als online angezeigt. es wurde nicht einmal der Rabatt durch die App gewehrt zunächst. Am Ende haben wir den Laden verlassen ohne etwas auszuprobieren, weil der gesamte Eindruck von Anfang bis Ende nicht gut war und ein Unwohlsein.

Das Essen war grundsätzlich "gut" und der Service "anständig". Das, in der Karte angebote Wasser, war anscheinend gerade ausgegangen, die vegane Gemüsepfanne wurde bevorzugt vegetarisch angeboten und das Brot war leider kein Fladenbrot. Uns wurde gesagt, dass Kartenzahlung nicht möglich sei und, bevor wir etwas erwidern konnten, wurde uns erklärt, dass sie am folgenden Tag geschlossen und anschließend Urlaub hätten. Das war "eigentlich" überhaupt nicht schlimm, da wir Bargeld dabei hatten. Es hat uns nur erstaunt, dass dies offensichtlich gelogen war, da das Restaurant weiterhin offen war... Alles in allem schlicht "unbefriedigend"...
