Meyan in Berlin

Bad service. We weren't served. Guests who all arrived after us were served straight away. When we asked that we would like to order, we were put off waiting. Impossible. We then left. The staff didn't care. My Turkish friends also heard the staff making fun of the guests in Turkish. Absolutely not recommended!!! Never again.

We were here for breakfast and were very satisfied, such nice service and simply delicious!

The waitresses are super rude. They served people that arrived before us. When we asked if we can order, she told us with attitude that she needs to first serve other table. Another 5 minutes later she showed up to look for a table that again arrived after us. We left after a 15 minutes wait. Seriously the worst service I have seen in a Turkish restaurant. What a shame…

We had a very special Turkish breakfast, outstanding!

Delicious Turkish pastes, breakfasts and hot dishes. If you want to have a great late breakfast with friends or just share something small/snack, this is the place for you. Cozy café with very nice service. Make sure you make a reservation before three on the weekend

I made reservations for a birthday a month in advance. This one was completely forgotten. A tiny table happened to be free. The waiter was incredibly rude. We had to ask many times before anyone would take our order. I had previously asked whether you could bring your own cake for an additional charge. I was allowed to do this with the request to pay €2.50 per plate. On site I was asked in disgust by the owner who had allowed this, it wasn't her or her husband. She spoke to us disrespectfully even though plenty of food and drinks were ordered. The food was okay, but no better than in all other cheaper and larger Turkish breakfast houses. The staff, apart from the lady with the headscarf from the kitchen, was just annoyed and made you feel unwanted!

They’re open on Fridays and Saturdays for dinner. Therefore we came here as a big group, for our bookclub dinner. They were very welcoming, and the food was amazing. I got lentil soup and Bodrum mantı which pleased me so well, exactly what I need. I feel like I have to mention that I am Turkish so the food is pretty authentic. Thank you.

Just too delicious. I absolutely love eating here. So far everything has tasted bomb. I also think it's great that you can put together the mezze yourself. In summer you can also sit outside and in winter it is also very cozy inside. My favorite: stuffed peppers (dolma) and kisir 😍

Food is great - service seemed overwhelmed, as a guest you had the feeling that every question was annoying. Catering was being prepared at the same time, so that guests in the restaurant had to wait unnecessarily long

Unfortunately the order was not complete, I was missing hummus and each of us was missing hummus. I think the waitress was new and in training, that was ok and I understand if everything didn't go smoothly. However, another colleague was really annoyed and couldn't hide it well :/ The food was really delicious and, above all, fresh :) I might try it again when the store isn't so busy.

Five of us had reserved a table. When we were there we were warmly welcomed by the staff and given a seat. It was hectic and busy at the time. Despite all the hectic pace, the employees were very friendly when the boss came and reprimanded us. We shouldn't have just sat down at the table and rolled my eyes. 😳 We explained that we had been assigned this table. Then your employee badmouthed you and simply walked away. We sat for about 5 minutes (near the counter) and were actually waiting for us to place our order and then noticed that the boss was simply rude and abusive towards her employees. Anyone can have a bad day, but that's just not how you run a store!!!! We then simply went to another location. Cafe Olea there There is a delicious breakfast and the employees, including the boss, gave us a very warm welcome This breakfast house is simply not recommended

A nice experience: very, very tasty food and friendly service. I had the Shashuka which was really perfect and I actually haven't eaten better anywhere else. Overall, a great selection of food, so I will definitely come back.

Really good place for breakfast. You can find everything and coffee is good. Prices are not that expensive. The bad thing is when I asked for a glass of water they brought me a shot of water !

Not an authentic Turkish breakfast. If you're looking for a delicious Turkish breakfast, you've come to the wrong place. Price performance does not match and the quality of the products is questionable. The Meyan “Büyük” breakfast (=big breakfast) consisted of 10 g of butter, a small slice of cheese and some greens. The accompanying pastes were equally strange. The classic garlic sausage was so lacking in quality that we wondered if it was really beef. When we asked for a change (leaving out the egg) in a dish, we received an uncomprehending response. In summary, the portions are too small, too expensive and not edible. It's a shame, because Turkish breakfast is one of the tastiest and easiest dishes.

It's a shame, we expected more. The taste of the food was ok, but really too expensive for the very manageable portions. The service was terribly inattentive. We had to get up twice and disturb the young man drinking tea at the table in order to even be able to order. When we paid, they wanted to charge us for a second basket of bread. We complained about the first one because the sliced ​​roll was rock hard. Nevertheless, we then pointed out that we had been given €20 too much change. All in all, an unpleasant visit that we definitely don't want to repeat. A real shame...

Breakfast menu items are fine but small portion sizes: most of it was fruit. Amazing Turkish coffee and tea. Usual bad manners when it comes to asking if it's possible to pay by debit card.

It was wonderful. The food was delicious, the service was great, the atmosphere was great. I will gladly come again.

Real cozy place with delicious food.

We ordered "manti" to the office. It really tasted like manti made at home in Turkey. They even added mint! Bonus: The yogurt they use is Turkish type yogurt, not the REWE type tasteless runny yogurt. Well sukela!

Food is good, but unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right at all :/ 5.90 for a 0.4 juice spritzer and a 0.75 water for 6.90 (!) is simply too much, despite VAT. Unfortunately the portions are too small (especially dips). Unfortunately it's removed from the favorites, even though I used to come here regularly because it was frustrating.

Went there for the first time today. Great atmosphere and super delicious food. Many vegetarian and vegan options are offered. Staff is super friendly. We'll definitely be back!

Ich liebe Linsensuppe und habe sie schon an vielen Orten in Berlin probiert, aber dieser Ort ist der beste: Portionen, göttlicher Geschmack, frischestes Brot mit knuspriger Kruste und man kann schöne Snacks auf das Brot streichen ;) empfehlenswert.

Dieses Restaurant ist einfach großartig. Das Essen ist fantastisch. Der Service ist vorbildlich und das Ambiente ist zum Wohlfühlen. Sehr empfehlenswert! Hingehen!

Leckere türkische Spezialitäten. Alles was wir hatten war ziemlich gut. Wir waren offensichtlich nicht die einzigen, die das Essen gern mochten. Also besser reservieren, wenn man am Wochenende brunchen möchte.

Insgesamt schönes Ambiente, aber auch ein paar Downer. Die Portionen sind sehr übersichtlich. Das Essen war sehr mild gewürzt- ist ja aber Geschmacksache. Für die Portion deutlich gehobenes Preisniveau. Die Damentoilette (gemeinsamer Vorraum mit der Männertoilette) ließ sich gar nicht schließen, d. h. sie stand einfach offen. Fand ich ziemlich blöd! Schade…

So lecker! Im Meyan ist einfach alles lecker und so viele Gerichte sind auch als vegetarische oder vegane Option - mit oder ohne Knoblauch - erhältlich! Es ist immer wieder ein Genuss hierher zu kommen, das Ambiente ist zudem so gemütlich und es riecht köstlich und frisch! Die Bedienung ist auch sehr zuvorkommend und lieb! So schön, dass es dieses Restaurant im Kiez gibt!

Die Speisen sind frisch und lecker, die Preise sind zu hoch und stehen auf keinen Fall im Verhältnis zu den viel zu kleinen Portionen und leider der schlimmste Service in Berlin bis dato. Schade!

Nett zum draußen sitzen im Akazienkiez mit Sonne bis 14/15 Uhr. Am Wochenende sollte man reserviere. Besonders wenn man mehr als 2 Personen ist

I went there with two more people and the service was not as expected.. the waiter forgot the order so I had to wait while others ate. Not only that, but also we had to ask for simple things like culinary and bread which was forgotten from when we initially order along with my main order too. Overall, the food was in small portions for the price paid but was delicious.

Hatten heute morgen super leckeres Frühstück. Das Cafe hat eine tolle Atmosphäre und der Service war auch hervorragend. Gerne bald wieder!

"Brunch" décevant. Un dimanche en plus ! Portions pas généreuses (le "muesli" dans un petit verre à eau (!!), l'assiette "meyan" avec des portions ridicules et des fruits sans goût) et surtout beaucoup trop cher pour ce que c'est (portion de muesli dans un verre à 6,50 Euros). Pain non qualitatif. Et service moyen. Nous étions plusieurs personnes et nous ne recommandons pas cet endroit.

Amazing food 😍. We had the Menemen and the Shakshuka, both of which were so delicious, fresh, and hot. Couldn't stop eating until we finished the entire plate. The freshly squeezed orange juice pairs well and is also very tasty. Can highly recommend this place!

Wir haben hier gefrühstückt. Das Frühstück muss ich sagen, war hervorragend und hatte eine orientalische Note. Was mir jedoch weniger gefallen hat, war die Tatsache, dass man für jedes Stück Brot bezahlen musste, was anscheinend in Berlin allgemein üblich ist.

Delicious foods in a beutiful atmosphere. Women who serves was very kind and nice. We paid 68€ for 3 dishes of meal, 1 dish of appetizer, 2 drinks and 2 cups of coffee.

Das Positive vorweg: sehr schönes und liebevoll eingerichtetes Local, in dem man auch wunderbar draußen sitzen kann. Das Essen und die Auswahl sind überzeugend. Ich hatte zwei mal Menemen und meine Begleitung Manti. Dieses Essen allein war super - sehr frisch, lecker und authentisch. Nun leider das Negative. Der Service wirkt überfordert und etwas unkoordiniert. Anfangs musste ich 10-15 min auf die Karte warten. Für meinen Kaffee wurde anstatt Hafer- Kuhmilch gebracht. Das Essen wird zudem etwas entwertet durch das günstig wirkende Discounter-Brot. Das ist schade, da die Gerichte nach meiner Einschätzung selbst und frisch gekocht werden. Beim Zahlen habe ich dann bemerkt, dass uns für eine 75ml Wasserflasche 6,90 Euro (!) berechnet wurde. Das steht in der Karte, insofern mein Fehler. Aber davon abgesehen ist der Preis einfach viel zu hoch. Daher alles in allem 3 Sterne. Schade ist: Es könnten für meine Begriffe 5 sein, denn es stimmen viele Dinge. Dafür sind aber auch wichtige Dinge wie Service, Preise und Brot eher enttäuschend.

This region is a lovely neighbourhood and Metan is a cosy place. There is large variety of dishes, especially mezes. Food is delicious, ambience is great. Highly recommended.

August 2023 - Meyan has been one of our favourite restaurants since 2015, when we moved into this part of town. Too bad their wonderful Içli Kofte disappeared from the menu at the start of this year.

Great brunch options. Like many places in Berlin I couldn't pay by card.

We’ve ordered private catering for a company event from Meyan and it was impeccable. The owners were lovely on the phone and very helpful with choosing the right dishes and amounts for each dish and drinks. The delivery and pick up services were perfectly on time and everything was fresh and delicious. We were even provided with leftover boxes to be able to take everything what was left home with us. I can definitely recommend them!

Wir waren hier heute aufgrund der TripAdvisor Bewertungen. Das Meyan ist gut, doch betreffend der hohen Bewertungen und der damit geschaffenen Erwartungen war ich auch etwas enttäuscht. Das Frühstück sieht etwas nach eingekauft und auf den Teller gelegt aus. Bei den selbstgemachten Marmeladen wissen wir immer noch nicht, was dies für welche sind. Eine Eisschokolade ist für mich keine Schokomilich mit Eiswürfeln. Das selbe trifft auf den Eiskaffee zu.

Der Service komplett überfordert. Habe Gefüllte Weinblätter gekauft und war der totale Reinfall. Trocken wie Reiswaffeln. 24€ für 10 mit Fleisch und 10 vegetarisch. Beide genau so schlecht. Da sind die aus der Dose viel besser. Und ein Rat für eure Angestellten, wenn man sie begrüßt Guck man nicht einfach einem ins Gesicht und geht einfach vorbei. Man wird komplett ignoriert. Unabhängig vom Essen der Service spielt auch eine große Rolle. Leider kann ich keine 0 Sterne vergeben.

The prices went up quite a bit as in so many places, but food is still very good. Service very friendly except for one woman that didn't seem to have a good day or maybe is always as unfriendly. Overall still worth going! (And the normal" non turkish coffee is definitely good)

Gutes türkisches Frühstück, mit sehr guter Stimmung.

Super tolle Gerichte aus der Türkei, wie Mantı, içli Köfte, ezme und das Efes Bier. Besonders zu empfehlen das Frühstücksbuffet. Kein Kebap kein Döner, nur richtige jute Türkische Hausmannskost. Sehr gutes lokal. Kann es äußerst euch empfehlen.
