The staff is very friendly. Happy to chat 😃 The vegetarian pizza is good, but I think it could be seasoned a bit more, with various herbs. Italian, of course 😉 You can leave out the paper under the pizza if you like; sometimes you don't know whether you're eating the thin, crispy pizza crust or the paper. With the spicy ones 🔪 😅 The spaghetti was also good, though we thought it could have been a bit "thinner," but I think in Italy, they eat the big ones too 😂

I'm not just a regular customer, but I count Rusticana as my absolute favorite restaurant! My entire family is always thrilled by the lovingly prepared food and the very friendly staff. The pasta dishes are divine – but fish dishes are also among my favorites! The absolute highlight was definitely last year's New Year's Eve menu. We toasted the New Year with the Rusticana family with music and a beautiful fireworks display. I always look forward to a visit to Rusticana!😍

Super Pizza Explanation: I was in Marktoberdorf from August 18, 2025, to August 22, 2025. What can I write? I ate at Rusticana three times that week. I had pizza three times! Incredibly delicious. To start with the positive, the food was really good. All dishes we ordered were well made and if it was purely about the food, I would definitely recommend going. The folks performing the service were below average. We asked for a specific table (nice table with 6 seats, we were 4) and they didn’t want to place us there because of a potential larger group, which didn’t show up while we were there. We even offered to move tables in case this group shows up, but there was no willingness to satisfy our wish. What really threw us off was the facial expression of the service person toward other customers about our ask. She gave us the feeling that we are weirdos asking. Well, it was just a stop on our road trip and the likelihood of ever coming back is tiny, but given this experience, I recommend only going if you are really hungry and out of options.

Yes, the prices at Rusticana Café may be a little higher than elsewhere, but the investment is worth it in every way. The outstanding quality of the products and the excellent customer service are in a fair relationship to the price. My conclusion is clear: The Rusticana Café in Marktoberdorf is a place that I would be happy to come back to. Update 10/2024 wow - I'm surprised it's been upgraded to 4 stars, which is a top spot in my strict ratings. The pizzas were very tasty, as were the fried potatoes and mozzarella, all very lovingly prepared. The salad is good with a subtle dressing! The food was served in a flash. OK, we were the first guests. You can't do magic in the kitchen when the restaurant is full, so that's not a criterion for me, unless it takes over 30 minutes. Unfortunately there are clear communication problems with the service staff. She is motivated and very friendly. There are good basics in service, the language skills could be improved, but you can live with that and it will certainly get better. There is a quiet, pleasant atmosphere even in a full restaurant. The service staff asked several times whether everything was okay 👍 Visit May 2022 under a new tenant. The menu is clear, but unfortunately the design of the menu conveys a snack bar feel. The furnishings are completely new, friendly and everything looks classy and tidy. The pizza on the wooden board is great, stays warm longer and the base doesn't get soggy, great! Not crispy enough for my taste and still has potential for improvement, but that's a matter of opinion. The salad is delicately dressed and tastes very good. Centrally located restaurant in the middle of Marktoberdorf. There's a road that runs directly past the terrace near the outdoor seating, which I find a bit annoying. But that doesn't change the incredibly delicious pizza and the friendly staff. If you want to eat good pizza, you should definitely eat here.
