Everything was excellent. Very tasty food. Good quality. And very attentive staff. I'd love to come back.

Perfect for a small group to enjoy relatively inexpensive all-you-can-eat running sushi.

The lunch menu isn't that extensive, but most of the items are delicious...

Great food and lunch menu is totally fine

All in all, an excellent faculty...except for the children. It was just that the children were annoying. A friend of mine got food poisoning from the mushrooms. I would therefore strongly advise against eating them. In the end, you can say they deserve five stars; perhaps they should just replace the kitchen curtains. Best regards, the restaurant tester.

The meat was dry and had seen several rounds. The milk bubbles were sour (I think they were tipped over) and the fish wasn't as tasty. We are very disappointed. It was much better years ago. Of course, anyone who has ever eaten proper sushi has different expectations now. A few years ago, you couldn't get a seat because it was so crowded; this time it was almost empty on a Saturday evening at 7 p.m.

This was our first time eating Sushi Running here. We were very pleased with the food and the service. The staff was friendly and very personable. We would eat here again.

The price/performance ratio is totally reasonable, the ambiance is rather minimalist, but if you're looking for regular running sushi at a fair price, you'll find it here.

I've never had such overpriced and boring, simple Japanese sushi. It didn't taste good, there was no variety, and they just threw it on a jar of soy sauce. It's more like a large board from Rewe. Once, never again!

This eatery doesn't try to be elegant, but has a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. It's great fun to grab small portions from the conveyor belt. Pay once, eat as much as you want. You can really fill up. Friendly service. I recommend it.

We went there as a family for running sushi. There was a large selection of sushi, both hot and cold. The food was constantly being refreshed. The food was good. The staff was friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant.

Best running sushi in town!!! So much choice, everything packed!!!

They sat us at the only uncomfortable table that was on the turn of the moving belt. It was inconvenient to take food and you couldn't see what was moving on the belt. Otherwise, it was not bad, the food was delicious, you couldn't see the staff, sometimes they went to take away empty plates. The music was stylish. Cool.

Here, you'll find a constant supply of delicious, diverse, and handmade sushi. The value for money is excellent! The ambiance is a bit understated, but the service is very warm. A must-visit in Munich for me!

"I don't know if I was at a running sushi restaurant or a pet store where the conveyor belt had been repurposed for turtles. The food felt like it had been going around since 2008 – the salmon had already had its own life experiences, and the tuna nigiri whispered to me, 'Help me!' The warm miso soup was more of a lukewarm miso disappointment. The staff seemed as motivated as a cactus in winter. For that price, I could have just cooked rice at home and looked at some old pictures of sushi."

Nice shop: Great food, large selection, and all in all, a fair price. My companion would have preferred breaded shrimp on the menu, but I don't like shrimp anyway, so I have nothing against it. I'd be happy to go back! 😋

Unfortunately, it confirmed my reservations about running sushi; it was simply bad.

Since there are hardly any running sushi restaurants in Munich anymore, it's a good thing Kyoto still exists. The food has been consistently good for many years, the service and ambiance are perfectly fine, and you always get a seat, even without a reservation. I always enjoy going there, even though I no longer live nearby.

Excellent food, a wonderful, authentic atmosphere, and superb service. The waitresses are very attentive. We'll be back :)

For the price (approx. €15 per person), there's a good selection of sushi and other dishes. We've been coming here for over ten years and wouldn't want to miss it!

Very bad food for a quite high price of 25€. The meat is rather dry and all the food was at the very best medium warmth. A friend of us wanted to order by card and after that moment the waitress was rather unpleasant and rude to all of us. All in all a very unpleasant experience.

Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing visit. Upon entering the restaurant, I was treated rudely because I asked for a regular menu instead of the all-you-can-eat menu. The wait for the food was long. When it was finally served, it was completely overseasoned and tasteless. The ambiance was also uninviting: the tables are far too close together, so your chair is almost at the next table. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant experience; I certainly won't be back.

A cozy running sushi restaurant where you can get a seat even at short notice. The food is very good, and the price isn't too high for the selection you get. Update July 2025: Unfortunately, I can only give it two stars. What I thought was great back then (that you can get a seat even at short notice) I can only interpret negatively now. If the restaurant were really good, you'd have to make reservations early. Some of the food on the conveyor belt was already dried out, and the selection wasn't great. If half of the food on the cold conveyor belt has been circulating for over half an hour with seaweed salads and no one wants them, you should clear them away and make room for more delicious items. Stacking them in two layers isn't very practical; you either get stuck on the other items or have to take both items off the conveyor belt and then put the unwanted items back on the conveyor belt. The idea that someone has already touched my plate with their unwashed fingers is unappealing...

No new food was put on the conveyor belt. The items were falling apart and dry. Some dishes had probably been through 100 rounds. When we asked for a menu, all we were given was a dirty and sticky plastic wrapper.

Whenever we're in Munich, we always stop by Running Sushi. The sushi is always freshly prepared, you can even watch it being made, and it tastes delicious, as do the varied hot dishes. There's something for everyone. That's why I don't understand some of the comments here. The prices have increased, but that's still reasonable by Munich standards. We'll be back and will remain loyal customers.

The food consists of 90% ready meals, except for sushi. The selection is very poor; there's no dessert or salad. It's just plain rude these days. Today was the last time I went there! I can't recommend it to anyone anymore, as they've been cutting back drastically on the selection lately.

The selection of hot dishes was extensive and not particularly good. Sushi was okay, but the quality wasn't right for the price.

Anyone expecting high-quality dishes (sushi) at a reasonable price will probably be disappointed. However, the prices are perfectly reasonable, and I would definitely recommend them if you're looking for a conveyor belt meal. All in all, a coherent concept, and the prices are also reasonable.

People be careful when you pay for food. We were there today and they told us that we were 181 and did not show the receipt, and when we paid they gave us a receipt and there was a sum of 169. Be careful

The best conveyor belt sushi and Chinese restaurant in Munich

Just a great place price-quality-atmosphere 🌸 Until 15:00 on a weekday for Munich, the price for sushi running is super - 14.90€. Moreover, you could eat not for an hour, as is usually the case, but for 2 hours. The range of dishes is wide and delicious. If you have a birthday and you tell the staff about it, then they will bring you a candle with fireworks in an apple, a shot of juice and sing happy birthday 🎈 The establishment plays Japanese motifs, which give +100 to the atmosphere 🎐

Last time the food was great as always. Only the fried fish wasn't completely cooked through, which is why I thought about everything again at home 🤣👍🏻 But I really enjoy eating there.

Food is cheap and of the lowest quality. Fish no longer smells fresh or tastes good. The service is poor and the restaurant is anything but cozy and well-kept.

Kyoto Sushi at Heimeranplatz in Munich offers a good selection of sushi and Japanese dishes. The fresh ingredients and careful preparation ensure a taste experience. I would have liked fried shrimp like I know from other running sushi restaurants. The service is attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. However, it is a bit tight to sit on. Price-performance is appropriate. What I've heard from others is that kids can eat there for about half the price.

It was actually very good for running sushi, I like the music selection (jazz, classical) and the food was good too.

It was terribly hot, very crowded. The food is average. There was no rice as a side dish, and only very rarely two servings of pasta. A glass of water is more than 3 euros..

We had dinner there on Saturday evening, the staff was very friendly but other than that I don't have much positive to say. The treadmill is too fast and way too crowded! The suschi was rolled very, very poorly and often falls apart on the belt. The taste was just ok. I know supermarkets with better sushi, some of the warm dishes consist of frozen food that is only warmed up. Sometimes the sauce is saved and is therefore very dry. It's all standard stuff too. The selection of dishes is also very small. At some point we waited for 20 minutes in the hope that new, different dishes would be served, but the same poorly made sushis were always served. New things were added to the hot meal but absolutely nothing tasted good! There were 4 of us. And we were all anything but enthusiastic

One orbit takes about 3.5 minutes. I came in at about 19:00 and left just before 20:00. I was sat in the "hard mode" table at the very end of the conveyor belt where it makes a 180° turn. As such I had about half the time to grab that a typical table would have. 2 seconds with no ability to look ahead at what's coming. On the plus side, I never had to open or close my door because there wasn't a door! When it comes to nigiri sushi, I know what I like and they had what I liked. Lots of salmon, lots of maguro. Sometimes it's hard to see exactly what you're getting because of the plastic covers on the bottom belt. Everything I grabbed was enjoyable for me. One problem I had was if I grabbed the top plate, twice the bottom plastic top came off with it, and then I felt compelled to grab the bottom plate too. Again, nothing I ended up with was bad at all and I enjoyed every plate I had. It was a bit of a chore to get another beer, but other than that I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. Also that doesn't seem to be a problem later in the evening when selection thins out because nothing is stacked. I can't speak to what's available on the top "hot" shelf, as I only looked up there to get ginger and wasabi, which only came around once in a while. Towards the end of my time, I could see the selection thinning out a bit, so other reviews of there being inadequate selection later in the night may have merit. That wasn't my experience but I can see where it could happen. Stick to the basics and you'll have a 5-star experience too!

There were 4 of us eating in the restaurant today. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The quality is really not good. Almost every shrimp still had its intestines inside. This is just incredibly disgusting. What else do you have to eat? Only finished products that have been prepared in the deep fryer. Seriously, how can you serve just one chicken nugget on a plate with a bit of ready-made sweet chilli sauce. And then there are the worst quality nuggets you can buy wholesale. And the conveyor belt is full of such products. We all didn't feel well after eating, everyone had stomach problems. Please change the quality, otherwise the store will no longer exist. I didn't eat that badly, even in the cheapest canteen. The cleanliness also leaves a lot to be desired, the handles on the windows from the conveyor belt probably haven't been cleaned for weeks. In some cases there were dishes on the conveyor belt that had been on the conveyor belt for at least 30 minutes. Nobody ate them and they weren't removed. You can't offer raw fish to guests without being chilled for such a long time. Sorry but I STRONGLY advise against a visit!

Good running sushi. Of course, as with all running sushi, there is limited variety. You definitely have to make a reservation. From experience, if you miss something on the assembly line, you can simply ask.

Food tastes very good, I go there again and again. Without a reservation you have to wait a bit, especially in the evening, but never too long. The only drawback: It is sometimes very loud when every table is occupied and people are talking loudly. The fact that food sometimes ends up on the conveyor belt is the fault of careless guests who knock things over.

Four of us went there to have something to eat. However, three of us decided against it due to the high price of almost €25 per person. Instead, we all ordered drinks while only one of us had a meal. When we wanted to pay, the boss rudely informed us that only one person had eaten. She said she wouldn't have given us the table if she had known that beforehand. Nobody asked us how many of us would eat! We find such behavior extremely disrespectful. We definitely won't go there again.

I would advise against/recommend another Lokas. Food is not high quality and it is stacked in two layers so that it gets caught every few minutes. The places are very small and there is no privacy whatsoever. The selection was low - okay, but there were a few things missing. All in all it was okay, but I won't come a second time

Sushi and all the dishes were great, unfortunately the location is very cramped and the noise is a bit unpleasant. Unfortunately you don't have a feeling of well-being. But from a food point of view, recommended.

Terrible, absolutely not recommended. We had a piece of plastic packaging in the dessert. Hair in the pudding... Zero response from the owner...service not available... Sushi rolls are rolled carelessly and are just thrown onto the conveyor belt or lie straight on the conveyor belt without a plate. Leftover food travels along the belt between the plates. Disgusting..

I'm coming in heat for the time being and starving and horny. In my opinion, the food is geilomatiko but not just like the animals on the food are so delicious. Hmmmmmmmmm delicious

It used to be the Running Sushi Restaurant in Munich. Unfortunately, the best times are over. The selection has really been reduced to a minimum. There aren't many delicious things anymore. No more small fried shrimp, no more squid, no more duck, no more sashimi. Instead, a bunch of fried stuff that's cheap and quick to make. Too bad!

Sushi at lunchtime was 3rd class sushi. You're more likely to think of leftovers than good sushi! No fresh dishes would be served in over an hour. No cold dishes either. Warm dishes all looked dried out, the sushi rolls and Nigeri were trimmed to fresh. This evening nothing like that ever happened to me in Kyoto. It doesn't work at all!

Went here for lunch on Sunday, as we have often done before. Food was absolutely fine - unfortunately there was a bit of a lack of variety, which was better in the past. Otherwise everything is fine - parking spaces are rare as a resident's permit is required - but otherwise easy to reach by public transport. Chicken Peanut Sauce is highly recommended

Good things first: very decently priced running sushi with a good choice of sushi (lots of salmon!)on the belt. But be aware:come early, better 6 than 7 pm cause at 8 o‘clock it’s more or less over. No new food, they took away the Soja sauce and the service starts closing no matter if you’restill there or not (officially open till 10.30pm) - a real downer.

I was in this so-called “Running Sushi” restaurant today, January 5th, 2025, and all I can say is: It was an absolute disaster. The selection was ridiculous. Four different plates spinning around in circles, all looking like they were three days old. Sushi?! The rice was dry, the fish smelled like it had seen better days, and the seaweed sheets were so tough I thought I was chewing rubber. The treadmill itself constantly sputtered. Some plates got stuck, others almost flew off, and I waited an unbelievable 25 minutes until there was another plate near me that hadn't already turned 12 rounds. The service? Jokeless! The waitress looked at me as if I had personally insulted her, and the atmosphere… yes, if you If you like tables that stick, then you've come to the right place. The best? It was outrageously expensive! 58€ and I sat with my girlfriend for 25 minutes without food. I paid more for this garbage than I ever paid for a really good sushi restaurant. What a disgrace! Conclusion: Save yourself the money and go to a snack bar around the corner. That would probably be fresher, tastier and cheaper. 0/10, not even worth one star.

I have NEVER felt so disgusted in a restaurant as I did here. The table and the treadmill window handles were dirty and sticky. The sushi was inedible! The avocado in the sushi was brown, the salmon smelled really strong and the sad piece of chicken was cold. A mere €30.00 including a soft drink for poor quality food and a disgust factor of 10 out of 10. A short time after eating I was so upset...please don't set foot in this shop! Luckily I was able to avoid going to the toilet.

Dingy, dingier, Kyoto Running Sushi. Just one look into (or between) the treadmill and everything is described. After the visit, both of our stomachs felt bad. And 45 minutes before closing time, the waitress stood in front of us and wanted us to pay.

Feel good food. FIELD DISPLAY! The quality of the selection on offer is low. Lots of fried food and dough. Not very lovingly prepared or coordinated. The meat was dry and the rolls were rolled up indecently. I was hoping to at least get a few classics like baked duck or peanut butter instead I just wanted to go on to the Beauhaus.

Running sushi is a place vor a big hunger;) "Kyoto" is all right- I wouldn't recommend it for some festive event or real gourmet experience, but to pop in after a busy day)
