Very poor dining experience in Frankfurt. Waited 1 hour for food.Ordered Madras chicken curry but given butter chicken with beetroot color mix. Asked for 1 liter Cola zero and give 0.3l cola zero( still having the 1 liter in their fridge and saying it's out of stock.

Bad experience. 1 hr for taking the order and only after one hour you will get the food. They give priority for take away. Dine in people should wait for minimum 1 hr even for small dishes.. very bad service… food is average

Excellent indian cuisine. The food is just wonderful. The service ist is far from perfect, but very warm and welcoming. So I'll surely come back when I'll be in Frankfurt next time.

The website, which speaks of "handpicked, non-commercial ingredients" and invokes the "Royal Kitchens of the Nizams," is a bit pretentious: In fact, the Ruchi near the main train station (similar to the Tamil Ganesha around the corner) is a modest, low-priced restaurant that primarily targets a (South) Indian community. This is evident from the fact that the (fairly extensive) menu only lists the names of the dishes without explanation. For non-experts who are unfamiliar with terms like "Korma" or "Biryani," this makes it difficult to navigate. Making a reservation via the online form is pointless; it will likely disappear into the ether and go unanswered. The atmosphere of the simply furnished basement rooms is certainly very authentic. The food certainly is too, although that doesn't necessarily mean it's good. For starters, I ordered a vegetable pakora: pieces of various vegetables deep-fried in batter. Unfortunately, the result was badly scorched: dark brown, the vegetables were barely identifiable, it was hard to tell the difference between cauliflower and potato, and the frying oil had undoubtedly not been changed in a long time. This mishap was compensated for by a classic Chicken Dum Biryani, which met the essential quality criteria: the rice was cooked just right, grainy, not too soft and not too hard. The chicken thighs were tender, and the spice flavors were complex. The spiciness was rather moderate: I say this because some (even Indian) reviewers complain about unbearably spicy food at Ruchi – I didn't notice any of that. So, there is a good, if not spectacular, biryani. A colleague who can't stand spicy food ordered a butter chicken, which was mild. Among the homemade drinks, the salt lassi was perhaps a touch too salty, while the mango lassi was not too sweet. Overall, it's safe to assume that you can generally get good food at a reasonable price at Ruchi; There's room for improvement with the pakora. Not all of the waiters speak German; English is more conducive to communication. The young waitress who served us was exceptionally charming and welcoming. All in all, Ruchi is a worthwhile restaurant.

The food was delicious! The lamb and fish curry were full of flavor and very well cooked. Portions were a bit small for the price, but the taste made up for it But the Chickenlolipop that we ordered last time was a bit raw. Plz control it before delivering to costumer.

A Beginner makes biriyani better than this It was the worst biriyani i have ever tasted .. the ambience was worst, was cold inside restraunt because no heaters were working. The way of serving the customers was not good. Comming to food the only thing was really good was fanta, chat masala on onions and chicken 65. Biriyani had no salt no spice nothing .... just plane rice with chicken. The waitress said lemon cannot be provided but onions can for sides We came here because my friends recommended. ****Now i will never come to this restraunt and i will recommend others also not to**** Toilet was dirty . HONESTLY I DON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE 100% SURE. WORST FOOD Me and my friend ordered the food. One chicken 65 Chilly chicken dry chicken biriyani And nan And we oderd at 9.15pm. We all know the chicken 65 is dry fry.. in this restaurant the chicken 65 and chilly chicken is same gravy. And the most intersting thing was the next table one person orderd the onion slic e. The Waiter said that 9.45. We cannot give the onion slice. What the point of that. And the quality of food is the worst. We both are at the hungry that we had the dinner. And after the food i complain about the dinner the lady Waiter told me that i will call the chef. And he said that he is busy. Thanks for the chef that the chicken 65 is a gravy type... am also attaching the picture of the chicken65 that we had from "Ruchi restaurant Frankfurt" And also special hats off to the restaurant hostesses.

Pretty decent food. Chicken Tikka Biryani being my favourite. Ordered over 50 times. Chicken65 is good too. And other dishes as well. Will surely recommend. Staff is nice and friendly too.

I had the chance to taste the best authentic Chicken dum biriyani (hydrabad style) in whole Germany.. I have tried a lottt of restaurants in Germany but Ruchi Frankfurt beats them all!! Highly recommend..

Great Indian food at reasonable prices! Been there quite a few times - almost all dishes are flavorful (rich in spices) and taste amazing. Chilli Paneer is a standout in my opinion. Portions are great. Prices are less as compared to other restaurants in Frankfurt. Ambience and service are not the best though. Conveniently located super close (walkable distance) to Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof if you exit from the gate closer to Platform 24.

Scam - don't eat there. (TO GOOD TO GO) I ordered a surprise bag (tgtg) for €5 (original price €15) and after waiting for over 20 minutes and asking again, I received a box of rice with vegetables inside (see photo) that had been sitting on the side for a while.

The best authentic food. Got his brand name by preparing with all fresh vegetables and home made Masala's. Mohan and Veni are very kind and generous. You get good homely feeling snd always helpful. You can count on them when you need.

I’ve tried biryani in many places across Europe, but the one at Ruchi is truly the best I’ve had so far. Food quality and taste is really good. But not the hotel atmosphere, don’t get me wrong it was clean and friendly but the vibes are kinda off. Owners if you are reading this please renovate the restaurant, you guys have good food and can achieve more just make the vibes up.

Unforgivable service….although visited a few times here and service was good. But today the service was terrible. Ordered biryani as soon as entering restaurant. after half an hour the waiter comes and says that there is no lamb today for biryani..seriously???? Even for bill payment had to wait 10 mins after reminding staff… service standard sinking.. blame game doesn’t help.

A few months ago Ruchi was my favourite Indian restaurant. Especially for dum biriyani. But since a few months, all their dishes have excessive chilli. It doesn't matter what you order, looks like they have replaced all other spices with excessive unhealthy amount of chilli powder. And I am an Indian. I eat copious amount of spices and chilli eveery day. But this isn't 'spicy'. This is just chilli powder curry in everything.

It's not worth the money. All the dishes were salty, making them hard to enjoy. The service was also not great—inattentive ( not friendly). Order done, thank you so much, they dont mind what you eat. I will hesitate to recommend this place.

I think I ordered their best dish, Hyderabadi style biryani. Hot, aromatic and contentful.

Very poor hygiene — ladies hairs are placed near the window🤮. Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala but was served Butter Chicken. When I complained, they just added chili paste and returned it🤥. Goat Biryani was overly spicy 🥵with no real flavor. Service was slow—had to spend 1 hour 20 minutes for two dishes🥱 and not enough staff. Only the Mango Lassi was good.🫠

We ordered Veg Dum Biryani and Non-Veg Biryani, and both tasted really good. The biryani was well-cooked with nice flavors and aroma. We also ordered Chilli Paneer, but unfortunately, it didn't taste good. The paneer didn't seem fresh, or the sauce was not well-balanced. Overall, it was a good experience, but the Chilli Paneer needs improvement.

I’ve been to this place more than four times that I can recall. The only time I truly enjoyed the food and service was on my first visit. Since then, everything has gone downhill. During my most recent visit last week, the food was extremely disappointing, and the service was just as bad. It felt like they simply drowned the food in oil and spices without putting any real effort into flavor or quality. Will not visit this place again.

We ordered the food online. The food was low quality. Naan was undercooked and hard difficult to chew. The curry hardly had paneer chunks and was too oily. Bad experience. We waited close to 1hr 30mins for the delivery.

Great authentic chicken biryani.

Worst possible delivery service in the whole of Frankfurt! They take atleast 2 hours to deliver order to a distance of 3km! They never give a proper estimate, they ll just say order is on the way and it ll come in 5-10 mins. The wait is not worth the food seriously!

Chicken biriyani was tasty, not the best I had in Germany, but I am much more than satisfied. But I was quite disappointed with the atmosphere and ambience. Having great food is the main thing, but eating in a place which is aesthetically pleasing, having a warm ambiance and service is important to me. Customer service experience is non existent. WC is cramped as well

I had a very tasty Biryani, will go again

Food was very tasty (also spicy! so not suitable for people who can't eat spicy food). I had a mix platter with different meat components. The chicken was incredibly tender. Serve with homemade naan bread and a delicious mint sauce. The dessert (homemade mango ice cream) was also very tasty. I spent over 2 hours in the restaurant. Very quiet atmosphere, a bit smaller and narrower. But overall a very nice experience. The only points of criticism: the staff only speaks English. The menu does not contain any descriptions, only the name of the dish. This makes it very difficult for someone who doesn't know Indian cuisine.

Mutton / goat dum Biryani and egg Biryani is mediocre in taste. The rasmalai was not worth buying another time. It’s was like a sugar shock. Out of all, Gulabjamun was very good in shape- like perfect spheres with high sugar content.

We ordered other Lieferando two portions of rice and they confirmed the order at 21:06. The App showed 50 minutes delivery (we live 15 minutes away!!). At 22:15 there was still nothing, so I called them. The guy on line had me waiting for minutes, then confirmed that it only takes 50 minutes, and said "sorry" and then hung up the phone! Other restaurants in this case offer at least a complimentary dessert. At Ruchi you get to starve and they hang up to your face. That's not the service you expect, for the paid delivery, 15€ per portion. That's how the food arrived! All over the bag..

Best authentic Hyderabad biryani in Europe

Tasty food and generous portions at a reasonable price! Many Indian restaurants in Germany are notorious to charge as much or more and yet serve relatively small quantities of meat and veggies, but here it's absolutely worth it. Ambience is not the best, but the food makes up for it. Weekends can get crowded, so need to make sure you come at a suitable time and not with too many people.

First of all no hospitality.. On top of that, the waiting time was too much even though the restaurant had empty seats.. Secondly, there was a cockroach.. and the toilets maintenance sucks.. Worst part is biryani was over-hyped and it didn’t taste good at all.. we also ordered chicken mughlai and the chicken was not fully cooked.. Gobi Manchurian was also really tangy.. Basically, I never give this bad of ratings.. please check my ratings for other restaurants.. I am super pissed- that made me write this review.. we also complained about the service and food to the staff/owner but they didn’t really care about the feedback..

It's the taste of authentic south India. Chicken biryani and chicken fried rice are my go to food. The best part is it tastes very good every time and never was the taste changed. Prawn starters are top notch for the price. It's a best place to go for cheap yet very tasty food. The atmosphere can be improved however, as the space is too small and yet crowded sometimes. Else rest all is fine

The food was extremely spicy so you couldn't taste the taste. I grew up with Indian food but this extreme spiciness is simply not possible. We had stomach pains the very next day.

Basically a take out snack bar with some tables to dine in. It is worth since here you get authentic south indian Hyderabad cuisine, absolutely delicious whenever you come. That makes it the best indian restaurant in town. Need a suggestion? Order Chicken 65 with Lachha Paratha. Makes you sweat, but you will dream of it.

I’ve ordered food here for about 4-5 times now. Every time I write in the comments less spicy or none at all and I always get the opposite..fine no problem. BUT this time I found this wire/plastic in my aloo paratha! This is something I did not expect in a German regulated environment, the FDA should really check this out. I hope no kid or child eats this.

I went to this restaurant last week, had really high recommendation and expectations, waited an hour, which is completely fine, if the place serves fine food. I had ordered chicken dum biriyani. The food was mediocre. The service was good, can be better. Quality of food 4.5/5 My verdict: Ruchi could be the best restaurant in Frankfurt representing Indian food if they made their food more passionately, considering that they use quality ingredients.
