Mr. Jagdev Singh & his family have been running this restaurant for 10+ years now. The location houses the oldest Indian restaurant in Frankfurt. The taste of the dishes is absolutely superb - among the best I've tried in Germany! Not just the spice mix and the gravy, the vegetables themselves are flavourful too. TIP: Be patient even with the lunch offers, as these too are prepared fresh. Looking forward to the next visit for trying out other delicacies.

As good as it gets (atleast for me 😅). Friendly, attentive service. Delicious food (saag paneer highly recommended). Authentic atmosphere.

I hate to give anyone a one star but they deserve it. Food tastes very bad and also the foul smell from bathrooms. Senior staff are rude and very impolite.

One of worst experiences I had in Germany. The owner called us miser for not paying the tip, she was unhappy when we used Gutschein. The food was not up to the mark. The chicken curry had no taste and butter naans were unlike any regular naans. Ambience was ok.

I ordered at 4:30 p.m. and they delivered the food around 7 p.m. When I called the restaurant the man on the phone was disrespectful and rude.

The owners exhibited extremely rude behavior. They added extra charges without justification and displayed no sense of hospitality. There was pressure to order more than we wanted. The prices on the menu card didn't match those on the bill. I do not recommend this place at all. The food was disappointing and very mediocre.

Chicken tikka masalla delicious

Unfortunately the food didn't taste like anything. The lamb was not fresh. Service didn't care about guests. Not a good choice...

We had butter chicken and chicken jalfrezi. Both h had a distinct sweetness, especially the butter chicken. I realize different Indian regions spice differently, but we had never encountered this. Portions are large and prices are reasonable. Good samosas and terrific naan kulcha

The food I ordered at 9:05 p.m. didn't arrive until 11:15 p.m. even though 40 minutes was indicated. The food was still lukewarm but unfortunately unseasoned and brutally spicy. The Mango Lassi was brought in 500ml Hatyat water bottles which were already opened and smelled of cigarettes which of course we didn't try. The whole food had run out and there were two cubes of meat in the chicken tikka masala, although the dish should be called braised onion stew because it had nothing to do with tikka masala. The Chicken Vindaloo had no meat at all but, as already mentioned, it was so spicy that I would rather eat a chili salad with hot sauce than order it again. I strongly advise against it for health reasons and time constraints. It's better to eat dry bread with mustard at home and you'll be happier.

I suffered for 2 days after eating here. Historically it was good - maybe it isn't any more

Food was just normal. However the service was bad. The Behavior of the senior staff/ owner was so bad and rude. He Lack basic courtsey how to behave with guests. However Junior staff was humble.

Essen kam fast kalt und zu spät. Butterchicken hatte so wenig Fleisch, dass man es fast vegetarisch nennen könnte. Das Mixed vegetable korma war ebenfalls geschmacklos und enthielt kaum Gemüse. vorallem von indischem Essen erwarte ich ein Mindestmaß an Würze. Die Konsistenz der Soßen glich einer Suppe. Ich werde hier nichtmehr bestellen.

Absolutely terrible service by the staff, their take away order was not packed properly and the staff were very disrespectful and even after showing them sufficient evidence, they still will not do anything to rectify. Will not recommend this place at all, there are so much more places within Frankfurt that provide better food and better service. Do not waste your time and dignity on this place. Thank god Uber eats helped us here with a proper refund.

I’m an Indian food lover and I’ve been to a few places globally. I was happy to find this Indian Restaurant with beautiful food and friendly staff. We had Butter chicken and chicken saag, and cheese naan. Everything was delicious , beautifully marinated chicken and curries tasted superb. Naan was deliciously balanced with cheese. Will come back again

i hadn‘t been to frankurt for about five years. i remembered indigo from "back then" when i used to be in frankfurt quite regularly for my old job. i thought i‘d give it a try - and it was just as good as i remembered it: excellent food, beautifully cooked with skill and care. i was a little disappointed at first, because in the online menu they still offered half-sized servings of their vegetarian dishes as an additional side-serving, but that option had been deleted from the menu in the restsaurant itself. but i asked, and the response was an immediate "sure, we can do that". so along with my succulent, tender chicken tikka masala i had a serving of aloo gobi muttar. nicely spicy. my parner had juicy chunky lamb korma and was just as pleased as i was. well done indigo! it‘s not easy to provide excellence year after year after year. but you did it.

Great service, all the staff is really friendly. The food was fantastic!! Lentil soup, rice and two dishes with lamb, and delicious sweet balls. Highly recommended.

Essen ist recht autentisch und gut. Die Preise sind der Gegend angemessen und vergleichbar mit anderen im Viertel. Das Ambiente hat schon bessere Zeiten gesehen. Barzahlung wird bevorzugt.

Wir (zu 4.) an einen gedeckten Tisch für einen … Es dauerte eine Weile bis man unsere Bestellung für Trinken und Essen erfragte. Wir warteten 1 Stunde auf unser trinken, derweil waren schon neue Gäste gekommen die auch sofort bedient wurden und wir warteten noch eine weitere Stunde auf unser Essen … Wir trugen kein Smoking und kein Abendkleid dennoch waren wir anständig gekleidete, freundlich zahlende Gäste und verdienen die selbe Gastfreundlichkeit wie die anderen die dort waren. Uns sieht dieses Restaurant nie wieder !

We had arrived in Frankfurt too early to check into our hotel so we dropped our cases and went in search of somewhere to eat close by. It was Sunday lunchtime so there were not too many options but we found the Indigo on a corner site nearbyThe restaurant was clean and we were made to feel very welcome by the manager,even though later we discovered that it was closing time.Food was very good and we were served in a timely manner. It is not a high class restaurant but we enjoyed our meal and it was very friendly.We had chicken Saag (loads of spinach) and Lamb Rogan Josh. Other reviews on this page are from a long time ago,perhaps its time to give it another go!

Friends had recommended this restaurant and I gave it a try . I didn't it regret it. Big menu and although I ve never been to India seemed very authentic. Whatever we ordered was delicious big portions and good prices. Will definetely visit again. Last but not least friendly service

Geschmacklich hervorragend und sehr authentisch, auch wenn der Standort nicht an der schicksten Ecke Frankfurts ist. Auch das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis passt sehr gut.

Wir waren vor paar Tagen durch den Schlemmerblock hier. So sehr die Umgebung teilweise abschreckt, hinter der Eingangstür versteckt sich ein tolles Restaurant mit leckerem Essen und freundlicher Bedienung. Wir kommen auch gerne mal so wieder :) Auch das Ambiente ist schick hergerichtet.

Früher war dieses Restaurant eine kleine Filiale des berühmten Bombay Palace in Sachenhausen. Schon seit einigen Jahren wurde das Restaurant im Bahnhofsviertel als Indigo Restaurant wieder eröffnet. Der neue Inhaber hat es geschafft, an die Qualität und die Beliebtheit seines berühmten Vorgängers fast nahtlos anzuknüpfen. Umfangreiche Speisekarte und zügiger Service in top Qualität.

Haben auf Lieferando bestellt und es war richitg lecker.

그다지 추천하지 않는다. 인도 음식을 많이 먹어보지는 않아 맛 평가가 객관적이지 못할 수 있으나 음식이 상당히 짜고 향신료가 가득해서 개인적으로는 음료 없이는 먹기 힘들었다. 서비스가 그다지 좋지 못하다. 계속 불친절한 태도를 고수하다가 식사 후 남은 음식을 포장해달라고 했을 때는 내가 하면 안 될 말을 한 건가 싶을 정도로 표정이 티나게 구겨졌다. 잔돈이 없어 팁을 좀 많이 주었더니 갑자기 표정이 밝아지고 친절해졌다. 음식 포장이 별로 섬세하지 않다. 두 가지 음식을 한 팩에 같이 넣어주어서 다 섞여버렸고 난은 접어서 알루미늄 호일에 싸서 주었다. 카드 결제가 되지 않는다.

This is one of the better Tikka Masalas I have had. The sauce was spicy (I asked for it to be) and was paired well with very fragrant basmati rice. Portions are large with an unbeatable price point. This is a can’t miss for Indian takeout.

Sehr schönes indisches Lokal gutes Essen und nette Bedienung

Wir haben hier abends noch was zu Essen bestellt über Lieferando. Ca. 1 Stunde Wartezeit bis das Essen geliefert wurde. Alle bestellten Gerichte waren sehr lecker und die Portionen waren sehr großzügig.

In Corona-Zeiten kann ich leider ausschließlich das Essen bewerten, welches wir bestellten. Zunächst mal Essen war nur noch lauwarm als es ankam. Wartezeit betrug fast 90 Min. Bestellt war ein Palaak Paneer, welches Ich liebe und schon oft gegessen habe. Der Spinat schmeckte hier säuerlich. Frische Gewürze fehlen gänzlich. Richtiggehend ekelhaft war ein Gemüsecurry, das nur aus gezuckerter brauner Pampe bestand, in der Tiefkühlerbsen und Tiefkühlkarotten schwammen. Gar nicht zu empfehlen!

Sehr lecker und die Gewürze ein Traum. Preis Leistung stimmt einfach. Sehr empfehlenswert. Auch die vegetarischen Gerichte sind sehr gut. Der Spinat exzellent und die scharfen Gerichte halten was sie versprechen. Sehr sehr gut. Und netter Service kommt noch hinzu. Weiter so 👍👍👍

Mitten in der Stadt am Ende der Taunusstrasse ist das Indigo. Aussen unscheinbar. Innen klimatisiert und viel Platz. Freie Platzwahl. Im Restaurant nix los. Die Speisekarte bietet viele Gerichte an. Der Kellner ist sehr unfreundlich. Getränke kommen schnell. Speisen werden frisch zubereitet Der Reis gut und nicht klebrig und das Huhn gut würzig einmal mit Gemüse und die Portion gut. Geschmack gut und ein Gericht sch{n scharf. Der Preis und Leistung stimmen. Alles gut angerichtet. Kann man gut essen. Toiletten ok und Sauberkeit gut. Man bezahlt aber der Kellner lässt sich Zeit. Kleingeld will er nicht. Hat der selbst genug. Schade unfreundlich und der Gutschein aus dem Schlemmerblock wurde nur widerwillig genommen. Essen gut das war es. Besser geht immer.

I ordered non veg thali, they served me with the rice. I told them that the rice is too dry. But they started arguing with me. And told me, that we serve like this. My first and last visit to the restaurant. Never ever go here, they are the black mark on indian restaurant name. Seriously very disappointed.

Went because of close to our hotel - but landed up visiting 4 concecutive days for dinner and it was amazing food and service. All the food we order in 4 days were excellent, hot and yummy. Love to visit back.

Lone waiter continued to tell us about failed female relationships. 4 of us eating. No other tables taken. This was Saturday evening around 7pm. Starters came and went without much trouble, but probably took around 40 minutes odd. Then....main course took over an hour. Was with family - no point moaning. Outrageous considering we were the only ones in the restaurant. I cannot begin to image what the hell was going on in the kitchen. The absolute worse Indian meal I have ever had. Don't go. Get an apple!

'Seit Jahren komme ich mindestens 1 x im Monat hierher zum essen. Ein kleines, fast bisi verstecktes Restaurant mit gleichbleibend guter Küche. Jedes Gericht hat seine sehr geschmackvolle eigene Note und mein Favourit ist das Mango-Lassi dazu :)

Had a typical India lunch here.. roti, sabzi, daal, chawal.. all tasted great and as I would expect back home in India.. prices are a bit high but thats what you get in Frankfurt CBD
