We ordered two appetizer plates and one plate each of hummus, chicken, and oriental. We all enjoyed the food and it was perfectly seasoned. The broccoli, for example, was very tasty. They offer free tea, and the ambiance is very chic. It's best to reserve a table in advance if you're coming with a group, as the space itself is relatively small.

Everything was delicious. The falafel was amazing, the hummus was excellent, and the eggplant cream was especially delicious. The restaurant is simply furnished and cozy. The service was first-class; we received a very friendly welcome and were well looked after. All in all, a great place; we'll definitely be back.

I enjoyed the light food and the heart-shaped falafel. However, the overall taste of the food was a bit too sour. Unfortunately, the glasses were dirty.

We used Roten Beet's catering service for our wedding because we've been big fans of their food for some time. All communication before, during, and after the reception was quick, friendly, and uncomplicated. The prices were transparent and fair for a huge amount of delicious food. We opted for the vegetarian main course, and although we had a few guests who weren't too happy about it beforehand, everyone was ultimately thrilled with the food! Just before picking up the leftovers, everyone tucked into a second helping and tried to pack as much food as possible for the next day. That speaks volumes!

Very nice cozy place with a friendly no fuss vibe. Great value for money. Presentation of the food is beautiful and the portions were big. Everything tasted good, my only wish would be that falafel was a bit less dry, or served with more sauce. Would definitely come back again :)

One of the best places I've tried in Karlsruhe! The plates are generous and delicious. The service and atmosphere are very pleasant. I tried the falafel plate, a true delight that I highly recommend! I'll be happy to return on my next visit to Karlsruhe.

Tbh, I don't understand the good reviews. We had fallafel and shawarma wraps and hummus. Both wraps were 80-90% salad (see picture). It was like eating a salad with bread. The fallafel themselves were absolutely bland and soft. The chicken in the shawarma was at least seasoned and okay, but not a flavor explosion. The hummus was very good and finely prepared, chapeau! Without the hummus, I would only give it one star, but it improved our visit. By the way, I'm Arab myself and can appreciate and rate Arabic cuisine very well.

Came here due to the high review ratings but left rather disappointed. The price-portion ratio is completely imbalanced, the falafel bowl costs 11 euros and is served with 3 small falafels, lots of iceberg lettuce, a small amount of bulgur and some yogurt. Will not return and would not recommend.

Authentic, delicious, and super friendly! I visited Rote Bete for the first time today, and I'm thrilled! The falafel were crispy on the outside and wonderfully moist on the inside. The babaganosh platter was also beautifully decorated and very tasty. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. You immediately feel welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed, and everything was clean and tidy. The value for money is absolutely right here. I'll definitely be back and can recommend this place to anyone who wants really good, freshly prepared, oriental food!

I traveled all the way from Kassel because several friends recommended the place to me – and what can I say: It was absolutely worth it! The falafel are by far the best I've ever eaten. The hummus and the side dishes were really fresh and delicious. You can immediately tell that a lot of love goes into the cooking here. The servers here are also super friendly. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely stop by again. A definite recommendation for anyone who loves falafel.

A friend and I requested Rote Beete to cater our doctoral graduation ceremony at KIT. Everything went smoothly, and the staff was super flexible. The food was amazing, as always, and my friends and family loved it. I would definitely recommend it and do it again!

A very good Syrian restaurant with many vegan or "veganizable" dishes on the menu. The restaurant's selection and presentation are very similar to "La Rose" in Karlsruhe, and the prices are similar too. I like "La Rose" a little better because I prefer the falafel there, but that's a matter of taste. The "Rote Beete" is also highly recommended.

We had a vegetarian buffet for about 80 people at our wedding reception. We were able to customize the menu a bit beforehand, which was very helpful. Communication was good and professional. The food was delivered and set up on time. But most importantly: It tasted amazing! Thank you so much :)

It looks great, but the taste is unfortunately even worse! The hummus tasted of nothing. The chicken had a foul odor. Unfortunately, the falafel wasn't tasty at all. It was far too dry and there was no noticeable seasoning. It's a shame. Otherwise, a great concept, and I also loved the heart-shaped falafel. But unfortunately, not my pot of tea.

The food wasn't that good, it was ok, I think La Rose is a thousand times better.

🌯🥗 Delicious falafel, but with room for improvement! I had a falafel wrap and a falafel bowl – both tasted really good, fresh, and flavorful! The bowl was especially great. I would have liked a bit of mint in the wrap, which would have made it even fresher. Price-wise, it's on the higher end, but okay for the quality.

When Falafel Bowl is just a suggestion.. I came here for lunch after a long time and ordered the Falafel Bowl—salad version. I was shocked to discover that a dish with “falafel” in the name came with exactly TWO falafel: One, two… and scene! Calling this a Falafel Bowl is like going to see the movie “Spiderman”, only for him to show up in one scene as a guy holding the door open. This was more a salad that accidentally brushed shoulders with falafel backstage. And because I picked the salad option (dietary choice), I wasn’t expecting bulgur hiding below the greens like it was smuggled in. It’s not the crime of the century, but if the salad option still comes with bulgur, maybe don’t offer the illusion of choice? It’s like asking “beer or soda” and then handing out Radlers. I loved this place when it first opened. Now it just feels like a ghost of its former self: less falafel, more filler, and a menu that seems to have commitment issues.

I celebrated my 30th birthday and ordered the "Bronze" catering package from Rote Bete. It was fantastic! Delicious dishes from start to finish, with a wide vegetarian selection and top quality. Even my grandparents raved about the food for weeks afterward. The contact beforehand was super easy, the delivery arrived on time on the day of the party, and nothing was missing. I'll definitely be using Rote Bete again for my next week's catering!

Highly recommended! I've been there several times or ordered from Rote Bete. The food is always delicious! We recently had a catering event for 30 people. Everything was excellent here, too! The platters were beautifully presented, and all the guests were absolutely thrilled with the amazing food! Perfect for a party, since not everything needs to stay warm. They also provided a special warming container for the hot food.

It's really a great restaurant. I came to Karlsruhe for a week. I ate there. It was really great. The people who work there are very nice.

I was also lured by the great reviews and the incorrect name “restaurant” and was unfortunately very disappointed. 🤔 1. This is not a restaurant, but a normal snack bar where you pay at the counter. 2. The price-performance ratio is not right at all: For 15 euros you get a falafel plate that only consists of three (!) small falafels and otherwise just salad, that's not possible, completely overpriced! If only the food were at least fresh and well seasoned, but that's not the case: everything seems like convenience food, even the falafels. In addition, the falafel and the hummus taste like nothing at all, not spicy, not like cumin, parsley or sesame - completely bland. In addition, the vegetables were very fatty. The stuffed grape leaves are also clearly from a can. I don't go to a snack bar for that, I can buy it cheaper at home! I also find the customer toilet problematic: it is not signposted in the guest room, which means you have to wander through the dark hallway to find it. There is no light there and there is no light switch for the bathroom either, or the one on the wall is completely dirty, as if it hasn't been used for years. The bathroom seems cluttered, inhospitable and bare, and the faucet is strange to use, like a boiler. No instructions for this either. In addition, there is no trash can next to the toilet for women's hygiene products! Unfortunately, the falafelerie in Esslingen is a hundred times better, the falafels there are handmade, extremely seasoned and still cheaper than here. I still give one star for the nice staff and the beautiful furnishings in the dining room.

We had a completely vegetarian buffet for around 90 guests at our beetroot wedding reception. Delivery and collection went smoothly as discussed and on time. The quality was outstanding and the quantity of food was more than enough. We were very excited and thank you again for the great buffet.
