We spontaneously went out to eat there today. very good selection of food - pizza, pasta, schnitzel, steak, salads - something for everyone. Great service and delicious food.

Ate from there for the first time. The salmon tagiatelle had nothing but black pieces in it, The salmon tasted very bitter and we had to throw away the herb butter because it tasted chemical. The rolls were very hard.

"Let's try something different" - ordered from this pizzeria for the first time, very friendly contact. If you pick it up yourself, you get a starter and a dessert for free. Unfortunately that was it... The large (I'm used to something else) seafood pizza looks like a flat, mushy pancake with indefinable pieces (see photo). Unfortunately, it tastes the same and it doesn't get any better - any ready-made pizza could have competed. "Herb butter" has an indefinable taste, but it goes well with the rolls, which definitely don't seem to be from today. The tagliatelle al salmone is in the same class and contains black stripes that, with a lot of imagination and benevolence, could be interpreted as burnt skin. The dessert goes straight into the trash, you don't have to bother with anything else. Next time it's better to go a few hundred meters up the mountain again, so you know what you have. What a shame!

Unfortunately, small pizzas were out today. But there were big ones. Well, you're not stuck in it, the kitchen is obviously not very creative. Not everyone can eat (and pay for) a large pizza. Given the prices for food and drinks, I come once a year. If it's a little cheaper, I'll come back more often. Sure, the margin is now higher, but sales are lower. Can you work out what is better in the end - less margin and more sales or the other way around. A digital payment option would also be advantageous for customers, e.g. with Girocard or credit card - in an emergency also PayPal - the customer is king - as long as he behaves like a prince. Unfortunately the card reader fell down and broke - I've heard that several times now. Well, the fees aren't that high if you have a good contract with a provider. I suspect the lack of acceptance of non-cash payment options has other reasons. Well - in the end we all have to pay. Conclusion: accept card payments, prices down - and we will come back. In an emergency we can also eat at home, but you will need guests. We had a lovely evening, the location is great for the southern part of the city.

The party was awesome! Thanks to David for the relaxed atmosphere and the good music! We're coming back to the Schlager party in July and will be bringing friends with us. Finally a location in Hattingen where you feel really comfortable and can have good parties.

On Monday, May 6th, 2024 I celebrated my 30th birthday at Rosso Picante. In advance I had agreed a flat rate for the meal of 25 euros with the very friendly owner. Drinks were billed individually. A buffet was then set up on the dining table with various delicacies. First there was excellent antipasti and extra carpaccio. Then various plates of pasta, lasagna and pizza. Finally, an ice cream dessert. Maybe a small meat dish would have been possible... But since I didn't specifically request that, no problem. The boss was really a great host who enjoyed his work and had a sense of humor. The only negative point is the toilets and the lighting there. The men's toilet was also broken that evening. I can understand that only cash payment is offered given the fact that enormous bank fees are charged to the owner and other problems. The atmosphere is cozy and there was some decoration for the birthday :). The guests and I felt very comfortable. Can only recommend the restaurant.

Have you never experienced pouring oil over filled pizza rolls? Of course everything spilled onto the car seat. The appearance of the pizza rolls speaks for itself! Really unfortunately not appetizing and raw from the inside. Cleaning of the car included. Very annoying about the money.

We had lunch there with 12 people (including 4 children). The waiter was very nice and we got our food quickly. It was great, we're very excited and it's definitely not the last time we've been here. Highly recommended.

We have been here several times and have been completely satisfied each time. Parking spaces are available, the owner is extremely friendly and the food is delicious. I recommend the salmon fillet with Mediterranean vegetables.

This ristorante is now my personal home and farm kitchen. The owner is absolutely accommodating, the food is fresh and tasty. Price-performance ratio is absolutely right and there is usually a surprise from the house. Even though I was skeptical at first, I am now a regular customer and wish the restaurant much success for the future!!

We celebrated communion there and ate there twice beforehand. It tastes bombastic. The owner is really nice and responds to all requests. Children are always welcome here. The prices are totally fair. Everything tastes great, from the pasta to pizza to tiramisu. Fresh ingredients, the best pizza I've eaten so far and the pasta with salmon and spinach is to die for. We have also had experience with delivery for other events. Again, only recommended. Keep it up.

We were there today for a communion meal. It was very nice and pleasant there. The food was very tasty and the service was very courteous and friendly. Chair covers had even been put on for the company.

We spontaneously found a place and the pasta dish and rump steak were delicious. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. A particular plus point is that the restaurant is also open on Mondays, when the selection in Hattingen is already limited. We'd love to come back.

Tried to order several times now via Lieferando... which unfortunately was always canceled after about 40 minutes!!! Why do you do that? Super unprofessional sorry that was the 3 times... and now the last time... and then you're surprised that I don't call in a good mood..!!

The four of us enjoyed a very nice evening at Picante today. The tables were beautifully set, atmospheric with tablecloths and candles. The service was very attentive. And the food was really good! We had different dishes: pasta, rum steak and pizza and were all very satisfied! We'd love to come back :-)

We spontaneously went to this restaurant for lunch and received a very friendly and warm welcome. After ordering (including suggestions for refining the dishes) we were served fresh and warm pizza rolls with herb butter (with garlic). The food was freshly cooked for us and you could hear the chef chopping vegetables. We both enjoyed the food very much. The portions were so big that we were able to take the “leftover” with us for the evening. There was tiramisu as a small dessert to take away. We were very satisfied with the entire service and can recommend everyone to visit the local restaurant instead of “just” ordering there. We'll definitely be back😊

Man fühlt sich sehr wilkommen und es werden immer alle Wünsche erfüllt. Dazu schmeckt, vorallem die Pizza noch sehr lecker.

Die Inhaber sind nett und freundlich und bieten in ihrem typisch italienischen Restaurant ein schönes familiäres Ambiente. Ein ruhig gelegener Gegenpol zu den „untypischen“ Pizzerien und Franchise-Ketten in der Umgebung. Macht weiter so! Es ist immer super frisch und echt lecker!

Die Nudeln waren sehr lecker, aber die Quattro Formagi mit zusätzlich Schinken hat alles übertroffen. Der absolute Wahnsinn ,wie lecker diese Pizza war....

Das Rosso Picante ist ein kleines Lokal, dass neben einem rustikalen Ambiente mit einer hervorragenden Küche überzeugt. Neben italienischen Klassikern wie Pizzen und Pasta ist vor allem das Steak zu empfehlen, das nicht nur herausragend schmeckt, sondern es sowohl bei der Fleischqualität als auch im Preis problemlos mit den meisten Steakhäuser aufnehmen kann und diese gekonnt in den Schatten stellt. Da der Gastraum nur über 6 Tische verfügt empfiehlt es sich zu reservieren. Für größere Gesellschaften gibt es einen angrenzenden Festsaal.

Schönes kleines Restaurant. Sehr sehr freundliche Gastgeber! Wir kommen immer wieder gerne oder nehmen etwas mit. Im Sommer ist es auch schön zum draußen sitzen. Besonders gut schmeckt uns die Lasagne, aber auch die Pizza ist super.
