Rosengarten in Berlin

My bike tours and walks regularly take me to the rose garden in the Bürgerpark in Pankow. The location couldn't be better, in the middle of the countryside, no more aircraft noise. What really annoys me now is the long wait before you get a drink. Last time I visited, it took all of 22 minutes before I could hold a drink in my hand. That's definitely too much for a beer garden. This urgently needs to be improved. Because of the long waiting time, we only have one drink. Who wants to wait in line for so long several times... It's just a passing mention that the beer benches and tables need some maintenance. Addendum Oct. 2024: A sunny Sunday afternoon at the end of October, the beer garden has already been open for two or three hours. And yet, as a visitor, you still have to clear the leaves from the tables and wipe the benches dry yourself. In general, the rose garden lacks an eye for the essentials.

No card payment with the usual providers, but with outdated EC cards that almost no bank issues anymore.

We stopped in after a hike. Incredibly bad service. First of all, card payments are only possible from 10€ - and payment with debit/credit cards is not possible. Half the food was sold out, but you still get a beeper - but it doesn't ring and when you asked, the answer was "no, we don't have that anymore". Then why do you take an order and how long should you wait? Portions are small, prices are high. I paid 8 euros for a bee sting with coffee. The waitresses make a face and react unfriendly. Only the ambience deserves a star. Very unfortunate.

We like being in this park with our child and sometimes we go to the cafe to have a snack. There is always a pleasant atmosphere there and every now and then there is nice live music nearby. But there is one unpleasant point that we would like to draw the attention of the owners of the cafe to. A few days ago we were in the park with our son and ordered fries. It was delicious, although we had to wait quite a long time. In the cafe you can use plastic forks for the fries, which is handy with a child if their hands are dirty. But my husband and later my child had the tips of their forks break off! They ate carefully, but it still happened, and the child swallowed one of the tips, which was about 1 cm long, along with chips! We would like to draw the cafe owner's attention to the plastic forks, which are not only harmful to the environment but can also pose a danger to children and adults!

It was such a lovely place to stay. Unfortunately, due to a change in crew, it's no longer so nice. The young people are disorganized and clumsy. You could say everything without management, everyone does it somehow. Difficult to see what there is to eat and drink. Previously written beautifully on the boards, now laminated pieces of paper somewhere. Also difficult on the grill, the young man missed organizing rolls to match the amount of sausage. After about 5 minutes I gave up waiting because after a while we started to do something. But I could watch as he snorted, didn't clean his hands, then touched the last roll for a customer without paper. You can... but you don't have to... hygiene etc. 2nd try with the next young man, with fat headphones and I'm not sure whether he'll hear me.🤷‍♀️ All in all, it's a shame.

Nice beer garden in the Bürgerpark. I think the drinks are quite expensive for a beer garden in the park, but you can spend that on a cozy summer evening. Although it wasn't very full we waited a bit long, the waitress was also very young, maybe as a student job?

How can such a beautiful shop be run down like that, a shame

Good selection of grills and other dishes. But for a bottle of beer 5 € (Berliner Pilsner 0.5) I find it outrageous. Freshly tapped would be fine.

My gastronomic experience has reached a new low. There were five of us and I was upset about it for the rest of the evening. Bored but snippy salespeople, plus it's straight from the can and you can pick it up straight away at the supermarket and it's carelessly draped. So just slapped it on the plate. And in my particular case: I just wanted some potato salad and paid 10 euros for it, the same price as if I had also used the meat. Oh yes, I had to wait an eternity for the drinks even though there was no activity and there were two people at the bar.

You could do it. Emphasis on COULD. The offer has shrunk to a simple snack, the employees were completely unnerved, and the iced coffee without cream was a small coffee with two scoops of ice cream (the glass was only half full). We waited 15 minutes for a bockwurst and a few Viennese with rolls so that the Viennese were cold. We left just under €19 for all of this... Oh, and it's over at 7 p.m.! Just sad!!! Find a new owner!!

It is very beautiful in the rose garden. Nice draft beer and pleasant music. It's self-service, but it's very quick even when it's full. I haven't eaten there yet, but the food is very reasonably priced and looks good. On hot summer days you can sit there wonderfully under large shady trees.

Not reliable. Don't plan a wedding party or something similar in the rose garden. We have been talking to you for a total of 5 months since February. Even once on site for a meeting, but despite a confirmed reservation, we did not receive a contractual offer. Organization & costs: unclear. No communication: no response to calls or emails. If you want to plan reliably: Find another location.

Overall, the food was good, but unfortunately the inside of my warmed-up boulette was still frozen. Otherwise everything was fine 👍

This fantastically located escape in the beautiful Bürgerpark is definitely worth a visit! But be prepared that you have to stand in line at a counter (which is sometimes very long) to order something, you will be given a vibrating device and you can pick up your food at another counter, and when you are done, he was supposed to take the plates and glasses to the washing up table himself. A real canteen experience.... If you opt for ice cream, there are only a few packaged ice creams for sale, but no soft or scoop ice cream - the ice cream counter is generally closed. That's what we call driven entrepreneurship 👎

By far the slowest service in all of Berlin. I had a salad today that was absolutely disgusting. The location is really nice, so the service and the food and drink offerings can be greatly improved.

Terrible service. Queuing forever. Even placing the order when it's your turn takes forever. And until the food arrives, again. The customers would be there, but apparently you don't want to sell too much or you should change the operator!

I love it here and would actually give more stars. However, due to the lack of staff, the menu is no longer as extensive as it used to be. And the biggest negative point is that there is no service at the seat and on nice days you sometimes have to queue for more than 30 minutes for drinks and food.

Too bad, Friday, the best weather and the staff closes (at the best time) at 6:50 p.m.

You can go there again and again while taking a walk in the Pankow Citizens Park

Horrible prices, old toilet with ice-cold water without paper towels, greasy bratwurst that is poorly grilled and mostly unfriendly service. It's sad that the store is well visited due to the monopoly position. I live around the corner and am always disappointed!

A small, fine beer garden, we had a drink and then moved on.

We are here often and it is always nice to say thank you to the whole team at the Rosengarten.

Maybe you could rate it a little better if it were open. The opening times are supposedly daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. However, no matter what time I go for a walk there, it is always closed. Not opening, especially in spring and summer, is counterproductive. Unfortunately it was the same over the Christmas period. Too bad. The previous owner had great prices but at least it was open. Too bad. I'm in the park almost every day but I'm always standing in front of closed windows...

Service is certainly an invention on another planet. Despite the beeper, the spritzer had been standing for so long that all life had drained from it. It was also a rather unfriendly atmosphere at the checkout.

The service staff argued in front of the waiting guests, which was extremely unpleasant! The beer tapper desperately tried to pour Berliner Pils from an obviously empty barrel and filled about 10 beer mugs with foam one after the other, which was a bit funny and also strange. My glass of hefeweizen was definitely not washed, that was super disgusting! It is advisable to bring a waiting beer from the Späti to bridge the unbelievable waiting times. The store will be closing soon!

Great location, but unfortunately seems rather insufficiently organized with poorly trained and therefore completely overwhelmed staff. Waiting in line for a drink or something to eat for 40 minutes in the smoke of the grill - no thanks. It's a shame - it could be really great there.

This shop would be a flagship for Pankow if there were not only very friendly but also trained staff with service in mind at the bar. Unfortunately, everyone is already annoyed - before they have had any drink. This is much better and faster. Maybe sit in at Schlachtensee! Unfortunately, simply putting a few students at the counter is not enough.

Service from GDR time: to have a beer you have to stand in line first in order to pay and one more time to stand in line to get your beer. So it can take 30 minutes in total and of course they take no cards. Welcome to Eastern Germany

I waited 25 minutes until I asked if my food had been forgotten, by which time all of the people sitting next to me had already received their food and eaten it. When I asked, they said it was already in the works, but I doubt that. When my food arrived 30 minutes after I took my order (I picked it up), the fries were rock hard and either hollow on the inside or disgustingly soggy (no potato taste) The nuggets were at least hot but also relatively hard and (I don't expect too much but still) in the same shape. All in all, very successful for someone who likes to wait a long time for their food and then receive inadequate food. 1 of 5 limp fries

No credit card and EC only from 10 euros. What was still okay in 2000 is a bit out of date in 2024.

Very nice to sit outside. Great snack in all seasons and to refuel in between.

Very popular therefore overcrowded. Milk coffee just under 4 euros, waffles and cake are available on Sundays, yesterday was women's day so I would have expected more, especially because the weather was great. It's a shame! You have to queue at the snack bar and you wait about 30 minutes depending on the length of the queue and you get a table bell, you pay straight away or a card works too, you have to be careful when you get to your seat with your hands full so as not to be overrun because some people shorten the path via the terrace to get to the other side of the park, it's worse in summer We only drank coffee and thought it was too early for sausages with rolls or fries.

I know it's a common myth in gastronomy that people just make up their intolerances. Sure, it's really sexy to make yourself important with something like that. But it is now the law that you have to know the ingredients in your products. That's why the customer asks. The customer reacted so strongly to lactose that she would have been in severe pain for the rest of the day. At the first visit a while ago they simply refused. You just don't know and it wouldn't be possible to find out. That's how it started on Sunday too. After I tried to politely explain that it was important because it would lead to violent reactions, I responded with a mushy "Yes, it has everything in it that you can't tolerate. It's better not to buy it." The joke is - I just had to know and would have taken a pill. Unfortunately, similar reactions occur if you take them and they don't contain lactose. The women's toilet was broken. A sign directed people to use the men's room. Behind the door you walk straight to the urinals; the cubicles were dirty and without paper. Two attempts are enough for me for now.

Back to one window and no table service. Even in the cafe.

Wundervolle Umgebung (mitten im Park). Leider völlig überzogene Preise, Speisen sollte man sowieso woanders. Dass man auch als Gast dann für den Toilettengang noch bezahlen muss ist schon sehr fraglich. Nein danke!

Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und es ist schön den einzelnen Musikern auf der Bühne zuzuhören,die sich am Keyboard oder mit anderen Instrumenten versuchen. Für das leibliche Wohl ist dort auch gesorgt;man kann neben dem Rosengarten an Tischen sitzen oder sein Getränk in den Rosengarten nehmen.

Preislich relativ hoch, Qualität der Gerichte nicht wirklich überzeugend. Auch die Serviceleistung hält sich in Grenzen. Ich habe hier mehrmals kalte Pommes bekommen, die nicht zurück genommen wurden. Resultate ist, dass ich als Kunde verloren gegangen bin.

Ein sehr schöner Ort, zu dem ich seit gut 15 Jahren komme. Aber die Gastro ist vollkommen überfordert. Vorne drei bräsige und leidlich unfreundliche „ Fachkräfte“ und eine Küche, die bei 6-7 einfachen Bestellungen offenbar vollkommen überfordert ist. So muss man bei 25 min. für 3 Kartoffelpuffer und eine Soljanka, leicht schmutzigem Besteck und einer Wespe in der Currywurstsauce schon etwas Humor mitbringen. Schade. Aus dem Rosengarten könnte man wirklich etwas machen. Aber dem Betreiber / der Betreiberin scheint es wirklich egal zu sein.

Toller Biergarten mitten im Park. Sehr schöne Atmosphäre. Häufig Live-Musik oder DJ. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Nettes Personal.

The place is nice (visually), BUT: - long waiting time - expensive - bad service (you have to correct them and ask to be served what you bought, they forget or change stuff as they go) - the curry wurst is a joke. Almost no sauce, and definitely not a pinch of curry in sight

Riesencurrywurst für 4,40 Euro bestellt. Daraus wurden auf einmal 4,90 Euro. Geschmacklich nich der Hammer. Die Soße bestand aus püriertem Letscho, was mit chili verfeinert wurde. Also ich kann es nich empfehlen.

Eigentlich ist das Ambiente im Bürgerpark unschlagbar. Aber das Café Rosengarten ist leider etwas lieblos. Das etwas altbacken Speiseangebot passt nicht wirklich zu den Besuchern des Bürgerparks. Dafür sind die Preise aber recht hoch. Mangels Alternativen ist es trotzdem immer sehr voll und man wartet immer sehr lange.

Der Rosengarten ist ein Restaurant/ Café, wo man sich nach Belieben Kaffee, Kuchen, Würstchen und vieles mehr holen kann. Man kann gut draußen sitzen in einer schönen Natur direkt im Bürgerpark.

Also von der Lage her ist es sehr schön und auch das Personal war freundlich. Allerdings sind die Preise und die Qualität des Essen nicht in Einklang zu bringen. Für 7-8 Euro bekommt man eine kleine traurige Boulette mit ein paar Pommes. Für knapp 12 Euro gab es zwei dünne, totgebratene Scheiben Leberkäs mit Spiegelei und versalzenen Bratkartoffeln. Eigentlich war es nur der Hunger, der das Essen reintrieb. Die Ofenkartoffel mit Lachs und der Reibekuchen waren wohl auch nicht soviel besser. Die Kartoffel war kalt und die Reibekuchen klein und ebenfalls totgebraten. Also zum Sitzen und was trinken ist es gut aber essen würde ich woanders.

Ich kann nur sagen einfach weitergehen und sich was gescheites suchen! Jeden einfach zu duzen, was soll das bitte? Der leberkäse war ne einzig durchgekaute schuhsohle, gekaufter kartoffelsalat und um den ganzen noch die Krone aufzusetzen, Wasserflasche spreequell o,5 l für schlappe 4 €!!!!! Muss doch ein 5 Sterne Restaurant gewesen sein. Bedienung unhöflich Nie wieder!!!

Tolle Location, angenehmes Ambiente und guter Service Kaum ein entspannterer Ort, um warme Sommernachmittage in Berlin zu verbringen. Die Preise sind ok, das Essen einfach und lecker, der Service unkompliziert und schnell. Für Familien mehr als zu empfehlen 👍🏽

Absolut unfähiges Personal bedingt durch schlechte Führung, mangels gastronomischer Grundkenntnisse. Tolle Lage und tausende potenzielle Kunden am Wochenende. Eine reine Goldgrube für jemanden mit Know How und Engagement. Als absolute Frechheit sind dann zusätzlich die Preise der Getränke (Flaschenbier 5 Euro) und die Qualität der Speisen zu bezeichnen. Getreu nach dem Motto: Ein paar Euro bleiben schon drüber, der Rest schert mich nicht. Lieber überforderter Eigentümer, melde dich gern und ich helfe weiter. Wenn der Wille da ist. Ansonsten räume doch das Feld und übergib an Profis.

An einem sommerlichen Tag lässt es sich hier gut verweilen. Das Essen ist ok, man muss es sich selbst abholen und das Geschirr wieder weg bringen. Hauptsächlich Bierzelt Garnituren, ein paar Tische mit Stühlen. Anscheinend auch Räumlichkeiten für geschlossene Gesellschaften.

Der Rosengarten ist ein friedlicher und besinnlicher Ort in Berlin Pankow. Direkt an der Panke und mit dem Parkcafé und Gastronomie. Das Konzert im Rosengarten war schön, wenn auch vom Platzangebot begrenzt.

Tolles Ambiente Bier und Bratwurst schmecken. Atmosphäre passt....

Vor Kurzem waren wir im Rosengarten und haben Apfelstrudel mit Eis und Vanillesauce bestellt. Ich kann nur abraten er hat wie Pappe geschmeckt und der Cappuccino war auch nicht gut. Das Personal ist offensichtlich überfordert und den vielen Besuchern nicht gewachsen. Ansonsten ist ein Besuch des Bürgerparks sehr schön, ich kenne ihn seit meiner Kindheit.

Diese Location in Pankow hat bei weitem noch zu wenige Fans, die sie sich aber mehr und mehr redlich verdient. Natürlich ist noch Platz nach oben, aber dafür wird hier an sich gearbeitet. Die Wartezeiten sind merklich kürzer als früher und auch die Atmosphäre und das gesamte Drumherum wirken immer angenehmer. Es gibt immer Leute die etwas zu meckern haben, anstatt einfach mal das Positive in den Vordergrund zu setzen, aber das soll für dieses Team, dass gute Ansätze hat, keinesfalls ein Bremsklotz sein. Macht weiter so!

Nun, tut traurig. Aber seit dem Betreiberwechsel läuft‘s einfach nicht mehr, auf zu vielen Ebenen! ☹️

Sie lieben Biergärten - die Gemütlichkeit, die Atmosphäre, die flinke, charmante und freundliche Bedienung? Sie essen gern gutes, einfaches Essen mit kernigen Getränken zu moderaten Preisen, aber sehr guter Qualität? Sie lieben an Biergärten die gemütliche Rustikalität und den Charm? - Wenn das alles oder auch nur Punkt auf Sie zutrifft, dann SIND SIE HIER FALSCH. Eine ganz klare NICHT-Empfehlung. Worst “Biergarten” ever und dazu unverschämt teures Microwellenessen mit endloser Wartezeit (2 Saft und eine Spezi - 25 Minuten), über die Wartezeit beim “Essen” rede ich erst gar nicht. Und der Geschmack- Unterste Schublade.

Der Park ist ein wirklich schöner Ort zum Entspannen...Das Gastro-Angebot eher mäßig, schade. Milchkaffee leider nur lauwarm, die Kartoffelsuppe schmeckt aus jeder Dose um Längen besser. Da müsst ihr dran arbeiten. Meine Oma hätte das als "Plörre" bezeichnet. Viel zu dünn ...Nee Leute...bitte so nicht. Ein Milchkaffee, ne Bionade und ne Suppe knapp 15 Euro....da ist noch reichlich Luft nach oben!

Lindo parque para passear em família, com cachorros ou fazer um exercício! Além de muito espaço para descanso, tem um Biergarten com várias bebidas e comidas! As vezes também tem apresentações de música de pessoas anônimas , que são muito legais!

Für zwei „Riesen“-Currywürsten mit Pommes (á 7,90€) und eine 0,5l Apfelschorle (5€) wurden 21€ von uns gefordert, statt die Summe von 20,80€. Auf der Rechnung waren für zwei Currywürste 9,80€ und die Pommes 3,00€ gelistet, die Apfelschorle war nicht gelistet. Was den Tatsachen nicht entsprach. Serviert wurde eine kleine Portion Pommes und eine normalgroße, kleingeschnittene Currywurst. Zudem wir 20min auf diese Portionen gewartet haben. Wir kamen uns veralbert vor. Eine Angestellte hatte unseren Ärger mitbekommen und uns daraufhin zwei Currywürste nachgereicht, was ich sehr löblich und als problemlösend empfand. Hier warteten wir nur noch 10min. Die Atmosphäre wurde leider durch das, sagen wir mal, Sicherheitsteam der Toilettenräume, die auf ihr Kleingeld arg achteten, leicht gestört.

Endlich Frühling, 16 Grad und Sonnenschein, lange Radtour und den Rosengarten als Schlusspunkt eingeplant... Ich wusste ja um 21:00H wird hier geschlossen (steht groß dran). Gerade angekommen, bemühen sich die eingestellten Studentinnen, die bedienen, lediglich alles schnell abzuschließen. Auch die Frage warum bereits um 19:00 geschlossen würde, konnte nicht beantwortet werden. Machte den Eindruck, dass man einfach mal früher Feierabend machen wollte...

Im Rosengarten findet man in der Woche, Ruhe und Entspannung, nur am Wochenende ist es ehr voll. Eine Rostbratwurst für drei Euro ist auch OK. Der Bürgerpark Pankow ist sehr sehenswert.

Der Verkauf von Speisen und Getränken könnte besser organisiert sein. Sehr lange Wartezeiten.

Sehr idyllisch, im Pankower Buergerpark gelegen. Allerdings auf schnelle Küche ausgerichtet. Wir wollten dort, mit der Familie, den Geburtstag der besten Ehefrau feiern, aber wir waren wohl zu Viele. Es ging nicht, schade.

Finde die Location im Park echt schön. 14€ für 2 Espresso (leider auf Nachfrage auch kein Wasser dazu) und 2 kleinen Getränke empfinde ich bei Self Service etwas viel. kleine Pommes für 3,50 € ist noch ganz okay. Bier 5€ / Aperol etc. 7/8€ finde ich -aber wirklich überteuert…. Da setzt man sich lieber mit seinem eignen Bier in die Wiese.

Der Park und die Gartenterasse sind wunderschön. In Sachen Gastronomie gibt es definitiv noch Optimierungspotential. An unserem Sonntagnachmittag war nicht viel los, trotzdem musste man lange warten. Die Abläufe sind gar nicht eingespielt.

I love this park, the beergarden is really cool, open every day. They don't accept card or speak english, but the service is good and the people are really nice.

Wenn wir im Bürgerpark sind gehen wir dort gerne hin. Etwas Stärkung geht immer. Das letzte mal war sogar eine Feuerschale in Vorbereitung. Leider waren wir dafür zu früh. Die Bratwurst war lecker. Getränke auch gut, relativ viel Auswahl.

Update 22/23: alles wieder gut Update 8.8.21: 5 Leute im Pavillon wissen nicht was sie tun sollen. Stehen sich im Wege oder daddeln auf dem Handy. Derweil die Schlange immer länger wird. Wo ist denn der Eigentümer, der diesen hilflosen Jugendlichen zeigt, wie man Service organisiert. In deren Alter habe ich als Zivi eine Stationsküche plus Versorgung von 30 Patienten gemanagt, aber man hat mir auch gezeigt, wie sowas geht. Sommer 2021: was ist mit dem Service passiert? Meist genug Leute, aber niemand scheint zu wissen, was seine Aufgabe ist. 5 Leute im Pavillon und alle machen alles oder nichts. Völlig konfus. Lange Wartezeiten. Bedienung klappt 0. Abräumerin träumt sich durch den Tag. Kein Personal von Format?
