Nice ambience, bad service, overpriced food

I went there for breakfast on Saturday with a young mother and her one-year-old son. The food was excellent in terms of both the quality of the ingredients and the preparation. The fitness breakfast with poached eggs, smoked salmon, fresh green asparagus, and other fresh ingredients was excellent. The service was also very attentive and friendly.

The food is delicious. The staff is very patient and friendly. The atmosphere is great.

In my opinion, the food wasn't good. My noodles were overcooked and drowned in curry sauce. The chicken was very hard. The price/performance ratio was not good at all. I also told the server this. The location is great. The service was friendly and quick. Only two stars because I go there for the food, not for the view or the service.

Great location, attentive service, but the food was unfortunately a flop. There were five adults and two children of us for dinner. It took a long time for the food to be served. We had various pasta dishes. These were ordered with a cream sauce, but unfortunately, they were prepared as advertised, meaning the dishes had to be remade. They arrived after about five minutes and, unfortunately, tasted of nothing. The Kiko chicken saltimbocca was so dry and overcooked that it was almost impossible to eat. The otherwise friendly service staff skillfully smiled away any criticism of the food. Overall, unfortunately, disappointing.

I was allowed to eat at the Rohmühle on two evenings in a row. Once again privately and then as part of a conference. All I can say is that it was a very successful two evenings. Top location, great food and an excellent team.

We were looking forward to the branch, breakfast from the menu! Ordered the British way, please less mushrooms and rather one more slice of bread. Dirty fork, no own parking space anywhere and WiFi available but not working!

Unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right at all. Went there with friends and three of us ordered the same thing. Pasta with salmon and green asparagus in cream sauce. Salmon was so dry that it was already crumbling and the sauce was watery, as if the dish had not been fresh but had been on a warming plate for a long time. In addition, all three of us couldn't tolerate the food either. We will probably save ourselves a visit in the future. It's a real shame because the location is nice and the service was also very nice.

We had reserved a table and were there to eat on May 1st. The food was very good, unfortunately we waited almost 2 hours for the main course. The appetizer arrived quickly, as did the drinks. Nice atmosphere, but also relatively loud because of the many visitors. The prices are quite reasonable for the quality of the food and the location.

Two stars just because of memories of the good times at the Rohmühle. Today, Sunday, good weather - service is quite friendly (with exceptions behind the counter), but that doesn't help if no one shows you to the reserved table, you wait forever to order, then to get the starter and then only get the main course after an explicit, very clear request about 1 hour and 45 minutes after arrival. If the food was still appropriate for the high price... unfortunately it isn't, at best that's how it works. Beef was tough and burnt, the rest was just about what the menu promised. We're not going there anymore for the time being, it's a shame. It used to be great...

We were there on the Saturday before Easter. Very nice atmosphere. But the chocolate dream was a joke. Totally overpriced at 14.00 euros (!) for a small chocolate muffin with an ice cream scoop. Far from a dream. Please keep your prices down to earth.

Das Preisgefüge ist eher oben anzusiedeln, d.h. 2 (wirklich kleine Tässchen) Cappuccino und ein Stück (leckeren) Käsekuchen kosten mit Trinkgeld knapp 20 Euro - dafür hat man aber guten Service und einen hervorragenden Blick auf den Rhein (und der kostet quasi überall „extra“).

Everything was perfect! My wife had the Wienerschnitzel, I had the sea bream and we took some pasta back to the hotel as a midnight snack.

We were here for breakfast and it was really lovely. Wonderful ambience inside and outside with a view of the Rhine. Big selection and really tasty. The service was great.

Great atmosphere with friendly service. The food is incredibly bad. A bone-dry schnitzel was available for €29. I'm happy to pay that price, but not for such terrible quality. This was my third time eating there as I didn't want to jump to conclusions. Eaten three times and one star three times. You probably won't get a worse burger anywhere in Germany. Without this location it would be a restaurant without a customer all year round.

Es leuchten nur noch rote LEDs, die wie Heizlampen aussehen, es aber nicht sind. Keine Kerzen oder andere intime Beleuchtung. Zum Service: Trotz des guten Willens unserer Kellnerin haben wir mehr als eine Stunde auf unser Essen gewartet. Uns wurde nur die kleine Vorspeise mit Getränken gebracht.. Wir dachten sogar daran, zu gehen und nur für die Getränke zu bezahlen. Noch nie so eine lange Wartezeit erlebt. Sehr schlecht. Als das Essen endlich kam, waren wir ziemlich enttäuscht. Die Nudeln mit Trüffel für meine Frau waren eine große Enttäuschung. Wir hatten noch nie eine so geschmacklose Sauce gegessen. Ich bin Italiener, und es schmerzt mich sehr, solche geschmacklose und vernachlässigte italienische Gerichte zu sehen. Mein Gericht, Kotolett mit Gemüse, war besser, aber das Fleisch war weitgehend trocken und zäh. Wenn man bedenkt, dass es sich um ein gehobenes Restaurant handelt, waren wir sehr enttäuscht. Nicht zu empfehlen.

We went to this restaurant for dinner. We had been here before a few years ago and I remembered some “fusion” dishes that I liked. We sat outside on the terrace, which offers a very nice view of the Rhine. However, after sunset, the beautiful atmosphere that comes with the sun loses its value. Only red LEDs light up, which look like heating lamps, but are not. No candles or other intimate lighting. Regarding the service: Despite the goodwill of our waitress, we waited more than an hour for our food. We were only brought the small appetizer with drinks. We even thought of leaving and paying only for the drinks. Never experienced such a long waiting time. Very bad. When the food finally came, we were pretty disappointed. The pasta with truffle for my wife was a big disappointment. We had never tasted such a tasteless sauce. I am Italian and it pains me a lot to see such tasteless and neglected Italian dishes. My dish, cutlet with vegetables, was better, but the meat was largely dry and tough. Considering this is a fine dining restaurant, we were very disappointed. Not recommended.

There were four of us and we were looking forward to a beautiful pre-summer evening on the Rhine with good food and were totally disappointed. For dinner we had: * Wiener Schnitzel, that was too thick and way too dry. * Sea bream fillet, that was also dry. * Surf&Turf, the meat was completely cooked through; even though we ordered medium. * Rump steak, which was also overcooked; even though I ordered the medium/rare. After unnecessary discussion, we gave the surf & turf and the rump steak back to the kitchen. The newly delivered Surf & Turf was cooked through again and the rump steak was also overcooked again; although this time I ordered “English”. Furthermore, there was a wedding party in the next room, which meant that we had to wait a very long time for our food. We were informed of the waiting time (over 1 hour), but only after we had already eaten our starter. So we didn't have a chance to decide whether we wanted to accept the waiting time or not. Basically, we expected more from this high-priced restaurant and were totally disappointed. It seemed to us as if the dishes had all been pre-cooked. About the service: Our service was very friendly and helpful.

Great restaurant right on the Rhine. Homemade pasta puts the industrial versions in the shade. The portions are large and nicely prepared. We were there several times at different times and always got a table and always had nice waiters.

Very tasty food, super nice, capable staff, who managed a full restaurant and a wedding party in the next room at the same time to our complete satisfaction. The high bench seating makes it comfortable for entertaining even at full capacity. The highlight is the terrace and the view of the Rhine. Super nice. I'd love to come back.

This restaurant is at a really nice location. A reservation should be done, because it was filled very well. The menu was very delicious and made it hard to decide. Also side dish is well chosen. It was delicious, extremely good. The restuarant itself is modern a furnished and very clean. The service was also very good. Parking is solved with park house 4, where you can park the car. We paid 7,50€. The prices of the restaurant are high, but the quality and way of cooking is extremely good and justify the pricing.

Went there today, everything was great except for the Suslander chop. The chop is not recommended, tough meat that shouldn't be sold. I took it to my dog ​​and he was happy

Very good meal on the sun terrace with a view of the Rhine

Very nice, stylish atmosphere and great location right on the Rhine. Ambitious but not overloaded menu and perfect service. We were extremely satisfied. The only downside are the knives, which were so dull that I was on the verge of pulling out my pocket knife to deal with the steak.

We can only recommend the raw mill. We celebrated our wedding in the beautiful location on the Rhine. Everything was perfect all around. The food for 40 people was also great, everyone was thrilled. I don't understand some of the very good reviews for the food. Six months ago, we were there with a large group. Back then, everyone said the food was rather tasteless, but nothing special, and what's more, the dishes all arrived after 10 minutes. At the time, I thought, hmm, okay, that's okay. We went again this week. The pasta dishes also arrived after 5-10 minutes and tasted really bland and unloved. On the positive side, the very friendly and attentive service and the beautiful decor are something to be said for. What is really unacceptable are the toilets. They should be cleaned every now and then.

Wir waren an einem Donnerstag um ca. 15:00 Uhr in der Rohmühle. Es ist schön, dass man bis 16 Uhr das Business Lunch wählen kann, eine sehr schöne Karte mit guter Auswahl von hochwertigen Speisen. Der Putenrollbraten mit Schupfnudeln und Gemüse und der Salat mit Shrimps waren auch sehr lecker. Unsere Servicemitarbeiterin war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und hatte immer ein freundliches Lachen. Die meisten anderen ihrer Kolleginnen zeigten aber eher ein ernstes, manchmal gelangweiltes Gesicht. Dier Kollegin, die das Essen servierte, tat das ungewöhnlicherweise von hinten, hier sollte man nochmal schulen. Sehr unangenehm fiel auf, dass die Rechnung bei unserer Barzahlung nur auf dem Tablet gezeigt wurde und erst nach explizitem Nachfragen eine gedruckte, steuerlich korrekte Rechnung vorgelegt wurde. Es gilt noch die Bonpflicht!

We had a wonderful visit to the Rohmühle in Bonn! The service was simply impeccable – courteous, friendly, and always striving to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The chef deserves special mention; he takes excellent care of guests' every need. At my request, he prepared the delicious poultry sausages especially for us, which I greatly appreciated. It's rare to experience such personal and attentive service. Highly recommended – hospitality is a top priority here! 5 stars!

Basically a very lively place, the young staff are constantly on the move to accommodate the high number of guests. This makes it uncomfortable at times and as a guest you feel rushed. A tablespoon each of potato salad, cucumber salad and cranberries is served with the Wiener Schnitzel. The price of 29 euros is simply not appropriate.

Not recommended on Sunday lunchtime when the weather is nice - totally overcrowded, sat in the back corner despite a reservation and the service was simply overwhelmed by the number of guests. A drink only came after repeated requests, 3 meals came together, the other two only 10 minutes later.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly, and the romantic atmosphere set the perfect mood for the evening. Absolutely recommended! We had a great evening in the Rohmühle restaurant. The wooden furnishings make the restaurant very cozy and invite you to linger. The large winter garden with a wonderful view of the Rhine is particularly impressive - a real dream in summer when the winter garden is open! The food was extremely tasty and of high quality, you can tell that fresh, high-quality ingredients are used here. The drinks were also excellent and went perfectly with the evening. A small detail that I noticed: the service was sometimes a bit too quick, but that is of course a matter of opinion. All in all, it was a thoroughly successful visit that I can definitely recommend. We were invited to dinner by a dear friend and expected very good things from the meeting. Unfortunately, the vegetarian dishes, vegan bowls and the pasta dish were unseasoned. After the complaint, a replacement was brought immediately. The meat dishes were good, but unfortunately "only" good. It's a shame, the atmosphere deserves better cuisine. Unfortunately, the acoustics in the room are very loud, which spoils the get-together, as conversations have to be carried out at high volume, which in turn disturbs the other guests. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Unfortunately the toilet is not wheelchair accessible! It's a shame that there is no ground-level toilet for disabled people or people with walking difficulties. Otherwise great location!

We went here for breakfast with friends. We received a very warm welcome, the service was very attentive and friendly. The various dishes were all very delicious. We felt very comfortable in the atmosphere.

So actually great. Food very good. Service and attention was great. Ambience great...BUT, cold. Just cold. It was definitely warmer in the counter area. But at the front under the glass roof on the terrace it was very cold. 12/30 midnight/6:30 p.m. and 0° outside. We'll only come back when it's warmer outside. 👋

Birthday dinner with some people. Price-performance is absolutely underground. I'm willing to spend 30 euros for a schnitzel if the service (it wasn't existent) is right and if you can also recognize the side dishes (small bowls and thimbles would have almost done the trick). Food generally tastes good, if you're lucky enough and it arrives warm (for us 50% cold). If you want to wait 30 minutes for drinks (half of which you forget) and at least 60 minutes for food, then you've come to the right place. Have fun.

The Rohmühle is beautifully located on the Rhine. However, reservations are only accepted for indoor use. The quality of the food is good and varied. The price-performance ratio is not cheap, but okay. The portions at lunchtime are sometimes very manageable. The staff is friendly.

We went to the Rohmühle for the first time on December 23rd, 2024 (actually against the advice of a friend) and didn't regret it for a minute! The fact that the restaurant was almost fully booked was a good sign! The four of us were welcomed at the table by an extremely friendly and ambitious waitress who clearly enjoyed her work every second of the entire evening! The food and drinks were excellent (2x appetizer platters for two people, 3x the Wiener Schnitzel and 1x the Muscovy duck)... although they were already in the higher price range, but in the actual sense of the word they were "cheap". In our opinion, the raw mill is fully recommended - despite some reviews to the contrary that we do not understand. We will definitely come back!

Today I went to eat at the Rohmühle am Bonner Bogen for the first time. The food was great as was the very friendly service and the great view of the Siebengebirge and Bonn was a dream. Unfortunately only 4 ⭐️ because there are no parking spaces in front but a parking garage, which is unfortunately expensive… Maybe we'll see each other again soon ☺️.

The Rohmühle is beautifully located on the Rhine. Now in November you can of course no longer see anything of the Rhine late in the afternoon. Otherwise you have a beautiful view of the Rhine. In summer you can also sit outside; Sitting inside the restaurant is also very nice. Now about the food: food has become more expensive everywhere, but the food at Rohmühle is still a few euros more expensive. For example, a starter platter costs 23.00 euros per person for 2 people or more. The salmon fillet steak 32.00 euros. The ravioli was a little bland, but overall the food tasted really good. Luckily I was invited; to be honest, I wouldn't pay these prices myself.
