A year ago we were thrilled with the restaurant. Today we were there for the last time. If there is a children's portion on the menu and you are not that hungry, you are not allowed to order it because you are not a child. Huh? Are you crazy? Then one senior orders a normal Wiener Schnitzel for 28 euros and the other senior orders a Wiener Schnitzel for seniors for 21 euros. What's coming? 2 identical servings. Compared to the other upholstered pictures, I assume that it was senior plate twice. With my steak she asked me: with herb butter or pepper cream sauce? I said herb butter and promptly had to pay extra for it. Without any indication that this costs extra. Then I asked if there were any side dishes with the steak. She said one would be there. So I ordered one side dish included and one extra. Both side dishes and the butter were billed for. In total I was charged 17 euros too much. When I asked the waitress about it, all I got was a stupid look. And an aaaaaaa. But don't approach the customer and fix the error. I have learned to calculate the costs in advance. You get screwed over far too often. I can also cut my steak myself. Since the food is served on cold plates, the sliced ​​steak was cold in 2 minutes. Conclusion: Price/performance not justified. We won't be coming back and unfortunately we can't recommend this restaurant.

Great service, very attentive staff. The food really exceeded all expectations, very pleasant atmosphere, everything 100 out of 10. Best restaurant in Bonn and the surrounding area, gave me and my family a truly unforgettable evening. I'm not entirely sure how many Mishelin stars the restaurant has but it feels like 2-3.

We once again had a very nice evening in a small group in the Rohmühle. The various main courses came to the table at the same time. Price-performance ratio was right and the experienced, very friendly waitress Pari also gave us perfect advice about the wine.

The restaurant, located directly on the banks of the Rhine and next to the Kameha, has long been part of Bonn's gastronomic scene and is a must-have visit, no matter what time of year. In the warm months, the outdoor terrace invites you to linger with a “cool drink”. Inside you will find a very nice location with enough space. We were there for breakfast on Sunday. Everything was fine, prices are a bit high but still acceptable. Parking is only possible to a limited extent in front of the Rohmühle. There is a parking garage 10 minutes away on foot.

Tasty food, beautiful restaurant, busy atmosphere.

We were there on a Sunday evening and had made a reservation; the restaurant was well attended. We were able to sit in the beautiful winter garden and the seating was very comfortable. We really liked the location and the view from the restaurant. The service was very friendly and the food was really tasty and good. We had a starter, a burger (the meat was very well grilled) and the gnocchi and a very good white wine (Pecorino). That's why we give it 5 stars. Thank you

Very tasty food and friendly service

Great ambiance, lovely waiters and awesome food (the schnitzel is superb). Beautiful view on the Rhine and the Rheinauen. It also helps that there is a playground just besides it and ample parking (if you are prepared to walk about 5 mins).

The food was okay, after that I ordered a cup of coffee with cake, but didn't get it. After waiting 30 minutes, I paid.

I rarely share bad reviews but the food tasted like it had been frozen🤮 and the service was weird. I was especially disappointed for the price. The only nice thing was the view at sunset. I was trying to make a nice impression and this was not the place for it…

I haven't eaten so well in a long time! Every course was simply delicious, and the service was attentive and warm, making us feel completely at home. The ambience is also a highlight – stylish and cozy, perfect for a relaxed evening. A place that we would happily recommend!

Nice bistrot along the Rhine, authentic feeling in an old rehabilitated factory. Good food, German-Italian fusion style. I advise an hidden menu item, the starter plate, super fresh mezze of starters with beet humus, asperges, mushrooms….Good beers and great service. Nice scenery on the river itself and people walking along it. Opens from 10am till 11pm with non stop service

Leider eine katastrophale Erfahrung. Wir waren zu einem Geschäftsessen in der Rohmühle. Zum einen kam ein Essen trotz vorheriger Information über eine Pilzallergie mit Pilzen, eine andere Portion war obwohl als Hauptspeise gelistet derart überschaubar, dass dies nicht mal den Begriff Vorspeise verdient hätte (5 Ravioli!!!). Nach Reklamation der Bestellung mit Pilzen wurde das Essen neu gebracht, diesmal war jedoch das Hühnchen teilweise roh!!! Absolute Katastrophe! Eine Entschuldigung kam nur vom Kellner (der am Wenigsten dafür kann), nicht mal vom Manager oder der Küche! Absolut keine Empfehlung für den Preis!

We have never experienced anything like this and we come from the catering industry ourselves. One of our meals (a vegetarian dish) suddenly had meat in it. A small piece of meat that, after being noticed in the mouth, was “spit out” and placed on the edge of the plate. It took a while until the very nice waitress came back to the table. She said she was also a vegetarian and could absolutely understand why you wouldn't want to continue eating the dish. So far so good. She then apologized and left with the plate. So far so good. We waited a bit to see what would happen next. Nothing happened. We were so stunned and shocked. The waitress didn't come back. We then said we would like to pay and wanted to see if anything else happened. Apart from a repeated apology from the waitress, we were then charged in full. We were at a loss for words. If something like that had happened in our restaurant, the guest would have been asked whether he would like the dish again or whether we should cancel the dish, since a guest would definitely not choose a vegetarian dish that contains meat ( with us) would have to pay. This is an absolute no-go. Even if little things go wrong, the guest is offered something on the house. A coffee or a drink. But as we found out yesterday, service is no longer a priority in other restaurants. Very disappointing. Although the Rohmühle was recommended to us and it was our first time there.

Having enjoyed eating here for years, a review is long overdue. The food is always excellent and the great location right on the Rhine is a real unique selling point. The employees are all very nice, but today we received particularly courteous service from Dominik. He was truly born for the job! It was quite busy due to the good weather, but he remained friendly and in a good mood. This makes you feel like you are in good hands as a guest!

The menu is very difficult to read due to the squiggly writing in the very dimly lit restaurant, so you can't really read what you're ordering in detail. It's a shame, I forgot my flashlight, so I left it with a pasta dish. Tip: Don’t forget your flashlight and magnifying glass.

Family dinner at lunchtime on a Saturday. The booked table was suddenly not available. So we had to sit in a less nice place. The service was very nice and diligent. The price/performance ratio of the food was, to say the least, at the threshold. The portions were very small, although well prepared. We had to wait 1.5 hours for our food. Not pleasant either. I would not recommend the Rohrmühle.

Nach 2 Jahren waren wir endlich mal wieder in der Rohmühle. Grosses Glück hatten wir mit dem Platz auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf den Rhein. Das war aber leider alles was an diesem Abend schön war. Das Warten auf die Bedienung zog sich in die Länge. Wir bestellten eine Caesars Salat und Tagliarini mit Pfifferlingen. Das Hähnchenfleisch auf dem (überwiegend) Blattsalat war total trocken aber der Hammer war das Nudelgericht. Die relativ kleine Portion Tagliarini war überschüttet mit einer braunen Bratensoße, die geschmeckt hat wie eine Fertigsoße. Darin schwammen labberige Zwiebeln und Pilzstückchen. Auf dem kleinen Nudelberg lagen 3-4 zerkochte Pfifferlinge. Ich habe das Gericht nur gegessen, weil ich dachte, ich hätte einfach das falsche bestellt... Geschmeckt hat es kein bisschen. Da aber auch meine Begleitung unzufrieden mit dem Salat war, lag es wohl nicht an unserem verwöhnten Gaumen. Das Brot zum Salat kam 10 Minuten nach dem Salat und der Kaffee zum Eis kam als das Eis alle war. Unser Eindruck: die Rohmühle hat ihre guten Zeiten hinter sich. Nur die Preise, die die sind hoch wie eh und je... Für uns war es der letzte Besuch in diesem Restaurant.

Beautiful restaurant with very nice staff and great food. Prices are a bit high but it's worth it. The only thing I noticed was that there were dogs at the table too. Two people had their dogs sitting at the table. Guys, this absolutely doesn't have to be the case. Shocked me a little.

Rohmühle, never again! For the 4 of us, the Rohmühle was one of our favorite addresses until August 13th. Starters: 2 soups = very tasty/2 baby calamaris = great consistency but very salty Main courses: Pasta with chanterelles=good/ corn chicken=good/ Wiener Schnitzel=creepy, looked like there was fried fish on the plate, coarse and darkly fried? Breading Salad with beef slices = scary salad, a bunch of lettuce in a cream?cream mush with some mini tomatoes; could only be eaten a quarter. The waitress wanted to tell the kitchen that our idea of ​​a Wiener Schnitzel was different. A waitress who regularly interrupts the guests' conversation is not an attentive waiter but rather rude! I apologized to my guests who paid far too much for this quality. There are so many good restaurants in Bonn, it doesn't have to be the Rohmühle.

Beautifully located directly on the Rhine. There are enough parking spaces. If you can't find anything directly in front of the restaurant, you can park in 3 different parking garages. These are also reasonably priced. In the Rohmühle the prices are a bit higher. It is definitely recommended to make a reservation. The service staff is very friendly and attentive. The food was nicely prepared, you didn't have to wait long even though there was a lot going on and it tasted very good too.

The two of us had breakfast there on a weekday. We sat at a table outside with a view of the Rhine and the Drachenfels/Petersberg. The service was very friendly and we had a reasonable wait until we were seated and the food was served. The quality of the food was very good and the quantity was sufficient. The price of the food was slightly above average. Here you are probably paying for the beautiful view. The topic of toilets was unpleasant. Unfortunately, the smell of urine on the way to the toilet and the condition of the toilet doors did not match the prices that were being asked of the customer. What a shame!

We went to the Rohmühle for breakfast during the week. The food was very tasty and more than sufficient, the service was very friendly and the view of the Siebengebirge and the Rhine in the sunshine was simply priceless. The only drawback were the toilets... the smell hit you as soon as you went down the stairs. In addition, everything looked quite shabby....doesn't quite fit with the appearance on the ground floor and the prices..... Therefore 1 star less...

We wanted to go out to eat together on the Rhine in nice weather and after a long day at work. We then decided on the raw mill... after a long wait, our order was taken. Some of the drinks were brought. Unfortunately, the second part came a little later, when we had finished eating. My wife's order was delivered incorrectly. Unfortunately it was taken back with an inappropriate answer to place the correct order. I finished eating and then my wife got her food. The food itself is ok, but is overshadowed by the service. The ambience and location are great. It would be nice if the rest matched it. Unfortunately, in the winter of 2023 I had a similar situation with a business partner.

Well located restaurant next to Kameha hotel. Service was mediocre, long waiting till you get served and the dishes are being taken away. I’ve had the safran tagliatelle which were pretty much unsalted and without any kind of spices. View is great - you can see the Siebengebirge and the skyline of Bonn.

Today I went to the Rohmühle for a cozy afternoon/evening with a friend. The tel. Reservation worked smoothly. When we came in, three out of four employees walked past us without saying hello. Then we were greeted warmly and given a nice table. At first we had the feeling that our service staff was stressed. But that dissipated over the course of the evening. Natalie was attentive, quick and super nice. We were thrilled! The food was delicious. But for the price we felt it lacked a bit of sophistication. In total :)

A great location...just not for people with physical disabilities who would like to sit on the terrace! We were horrified!! The friendly question about another chair from the restaurant that you could sit on without pain was answered in the negative and the chair exchange was refused! Then you can't sit on the terrace. After a humiliating discussion you were given a small, grubby pillow. Apparently only healthy people are welcome on the Rohmühlen Terrace! The chair arrangement seems more important than the person (guest)! .......now June 24, almost a year later I was persuaded to visit the Rohmühle again! The owner wanted to find a solution! But, same scenario as described above! People with physical disabilities who can no longer sit on the patio chairs are not welcome outside! A chair exchange is still refused! When we asked, we were told that the management doesn't care at all whether someone is disabled and therefore cannot sit on the patio chairs! The salad we ordered was totally overpriced for the quality, and the chicken strips were extremely dry! How pathetic can you be...

When the weather is wonderful, enjoying the ambience on the terrace with delicious food is simply great
