Small and beautiful hotel with a great location, but during my stay the elevator was broken.

Just like last time, we were very satisfied with everything about the hotel, including the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was extensive, and anything you couldn't find was readily available from the very friendly staff. Excellent if you're traveling with a dog.

I came to Bonn for a business visit and I spent 4 nights in Insel hotel. The service was good, rooms are clean but small a bit. No mini bar is available but a small fridge is placed in the room with a bottle of water. The breakfast is nice, the staff is even nicer :)

I stayed at the Insel Hotel in late April 2025 and had a brilliant experience. The rooms are fantastic, with lots of thoughtful amenities (e.g., air conditioning, heating, desk, lamps, fridge, wardrobe with hangers). I particurlarly enjoyed the scrambled eggs, sausages, freshly squeezed orange juice, sliced meats (e.g., ham, prosciutto), and fancy cheeses. I also emphasize that the staff are exceptionally kind and attentive. My flights back home were rescheduled and they generously helped with me with calling the airline help desk to sort things out. I very highly recommend this hotel!

Lots of sights and great local transport by bus and train

It's been a few days since my stay, but I still don't want to miss sharing my impressions. The island hotel is very centrally located in the city center, which, if you have the time, invites you to go shopping or visit an ice cream parlor. The entrance if you arrive by car is a bit hidden, but still easy to find thanks to the navigation system. The building is obviously a bit old but is still in good condition. The elevator, if you are carrying luggage, is adequate but a bit cramped. I had a room on the top floor. The wet room was very nice and spacious, the room itself only had space for the bed, a small table and a chair. So quite cramped. Absolutely sufficient for overnight stays, but if you want/have to stay in it, it is a bit uncomfortable. The breakfast buffet is really great. The breakfast room itself is basically divided into two parts and is ok. Overall, you notice that the space must be used efficiently. However, this works quite well and is not a complaint from me. The reception was very friendly and helpful, as was the checkout. Hotel parking spaces are somewhat sparse and the principle applies on a first-come, first-served basis. You can eat well in the restaurant, although on the second evening I was a bit disappointed with the service, who, despite the restaurant being completely free, pretended to first check whether I (as a hotel guest) could even get a seat. The real highlight, however, was the breakfast: I've experienced many hotel breakfasts, but this one was "over the top". An impressive selection of warm dishes, high-quality cold cuts and cheese as well as a diverse muesli buffet with various seeds, nuts and toppings. Im Dezember zu unsern Hochzeitstag reisen wir zum dritten mal in diesem schönen entspannten Hotel an. Im letzten November waren wir auch mit allem zufrieden, das Zimmer war noch nicht fertig gewesen. Für uns kein Problem, auch wenn es Allerheiligen war, so haben wir einen schönen Nachmittag Spaziergang gemacht , bis um 15.00 Uhr das Zimmer fertig war. An der Rezeption wurde wir nett empfangen. Zimmer war wie gebucht und alles in Ordnung. Frühstück ist ein Traum , große Auswahl alles frisch und lecker , uns wurde auch dort einen guten Morgen gewünscht. Wenn wir mal eine Auszeit brauchen, dann kommen wir doch immer wieder gerne in dieses Hotel. Man fühlt sich immer sehr wohl dort !! Macht weiter so wie gehabt liebes Team.

The staff's treatment at checkout was very bad... one of the hotel workers entered the room without permission and the manner was very rude and I was forced to leave the room immediately, knowing that all hotels check-out time is at 12 o'clock. Single rooms are of sufficient size and equipped with air conditioning. I didn't use the fitness area, but it looked very appealing from the outside.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for an overnight stay at the weekend and loved it. The rooms are very clean and attractive, there is parking space and the entire hotel smells very pleasant. But the staff was awesome. Super friendly, we immediately felt very comfortable. The breakfast buffet the next morning had everything and it was delicious. Traditional hotel and café in Bonn Bad Godesberg. Politicians, stars and starlets met here as early as the 1950s. Great cafe with very friendly service and a fantastic zotron roll. Happy Rhenish hustle and bustle and many nice shops for shopping nearby.

The location is really good and there are several parking spaces that belong to the hotel. The rooms were clean. In fact, as you can see from the photos here on Google - there are some rooms that are already very modern and others that you can see that they haven't been modernized yet, although these rooms are still very well maintained. The breakfast buffet is really great, there is a large selection and there is something for both sweet and savory breakfasters.

I was in Bonn for two days on business and came across the “Insel Hotel” because the hotel I usually book was full. From now on the “Insel Hotel” is my favorite and my first choice. Saubere Zimmer, nettes Personal

Zentral gelegen. Von hier aus kommt man mit ÖPNV gut in die Innenstadt. Sehr freundliches Personal und schöner Wellness-Bereich.

Hotelzimmer war in Ordnung. Eine defekte Duschhalterung und ein nicht zugänglicher Fitnessraum aufgrund Malerarbeiten, aber ansonsten war das okay. Allerdings für den Preis sehr simpel gehalten. Die Lage war super, mittendrin in der kleinen Stadt. Allerdings können wir das dazugehörige Restaurant leider ganz und gar nicht empfehlen. Teilweise kalte Speisen und 45 Minuten Wartezeit auf die Rechnung fanden wir schon bemerkenswert.

Die *junge* Bedienung hatte heute, 23.04.2022, nicht den besten Tag. 2023 war die Bedienung super.

Wir waren nur im Café und haben eine leckere Herrentorte sowie holländische Kirschsahne gegessen! Die Bedienung war sehr gut! Leider nur zu zweit und man sollte Geduld beim Warten mitbringen. Man muss halt in der Adventszeit beim gut besuchten Nikolausmarkt damit rechnen.

Das Zimmer wurde wohl vor kurzem renoviert es hat sehr stark nach Farbe gerochen. Entsprechend unangenehm war dort zu schlafen.

Sehr entäuschend, wir hatten vor 1 Monat eine Gans bestellt, dann kam 2 Tage vor unserem Besuch ein Anruf , man hätte sich vertan und es gäb nur Keulen....kein Ofen mehr frei...die Keulen waren so extrem fest,zäh und nicht geniesbar....und das ganze für immerhin 36,50 € ...keine Entschuldigung von der Küche....oder eine Wiedergutmachung...sehr schlecht...das war es für uns ...nie wieder...

Ein sehr herziges kleines Hotel mit dem direkten Zugang zur Einkaufszone. Parkplätze sind genügend vorhanden, allerdings gegen Aufpreis. Der Aufzug ist leider sehr klein, wir hatten zudritt kaum Platz, das motiviert dazu öfters die Treppe zu benutzen, denn Laufen ist gesund. Zimmer sind etwas klein aber sauber und gut ausgestattet. Ein Besuch lohn sich auf jeden Fall!

Heute war wieder alles top, sehr gemütlich und schon ein bisschen weihnachtlich dekoriert. Auch draußen wurden schon die entsprechenden Buden für den Nikolausmarkt aufgebaut! Heute mal wieder sehr lecker wie immer. Danke für die zuverlässige Tischreservierung! Ich bleibe bei meinem Künstlerfrühstück! Das Rührei reicht gut für 2 Personen 😊 Wie immer sehr angenehm zu frühstücken bei dezenter Musik und netter neuer Bedienung. Habe diesmal das geröstete Landbrot mit Avocado genommen, total lecker!
