We were there for dinner with several people. The food was wonderful as always but the dishes (plates) were broken on the edge, including the coffee saucers. The service, whether male or female, could come across as a bit friendlier. I went to the counter to pay and was told that the waiter was coming to our table. What I found impossible was that it was calculated on a small piece of paper and placed in front of me. The guests who were with us were invited so there was no discretion. I would have loved to pay without all the invited guests noticing what I paid. The fact that there was no proper billing also bothered me because I couldn't understand what I had paid based on a beer mat and a small piece of paper. I would hope that this would be better next time. Otherwise we were satisfied and the food was very good. A very big compliment to the cook. I hope that my criticism will be heard and that something will be changed in the future. Best regards

Yesterday evening we had dinner there with our club, à la carte, with 18 people. The service and timing were good.

Food was very good. I've known the Klause for a long time because I used to be a bowler at ESV. At that time under the direction of Norbert Scheuer. This time we were there for a birthday dinner and it was really delicious.

We ended up here by chance, stopping by with one of our suppliers as he was staying at a hotel nearby. Starter of onion soup, which alone serves as a main course. Mega. Main course was French Cordon Bleu, filled with cheese and cranberries. So wonderful. Highly recommended and I will come back.

Visiting our granddaughter. Ate here this evening. French Cordon Bleu a hit. Totally delicious. Service very friendly. What I didn't like was that we had to wait over an hour, but maybe that was due to the huge rush, the place was packed. Thanks, the granddaughter lives nearby, we will probably come back. Unfortunately failed due to impudence. You can argue about the taste of the food, but the waiter's comment about whether you've finished your meal or not is completely out of place. The waitress's gossip with the owner about the guests is disgusting. It's a shame that people have become so snooty and that only income plays a role when looking at customers

A restaurant where the (German) cuisine is good, I recommend the breaded mushrooms, note that the fries are not homemade (not great) We regret the attitude of the server who never smiles, and imposes a payment in cash on us while the neighboring table can pay by credit card... It's still a reasonably priced place.

Yesterday we were there with six people for my mother-in-law's birthday. I was there a few years ago, but the place has improved dramatically since then! The store was full to capacity. Nevertheless, we were immediately served in a friendly manner and never had to fight for the service staff's attention. The food was excellent, not only for the price, and it came quite quickly too. I wouldn't have expected that from this company. I had the Argentinian roast beef (approx. 300 g) roast-style on a dark sauce, with crispy fried onions, fries and a side salad. I could easily swap the fries for delicious fried potatoes. The steak was simply perfect! Great quality meat, well aged, well cut, perfectly fried. Two of us wanted it medium, one wanted it medium-rare. That's exactly how the steaks came. Whoever prepares them knows their craft! The crispy onions were very tasty. Often they are just mushy, here they are crispy. The house wine was also very decent and not overpriced, the Pilsner was well tapped. That's how it has to be! By the way, the chairs are also very comfortable! When I read one review here where people didn't get full, I wonder if they'll ever get full somewhere. The portions were really ok! I mean, 300g of meat with side dishes and salad, hello?! For only €26.50 it was a bargain! There may be even more in the XXL restaurant, but never in this quality. In any case, we are thrilled and definitely want to go back there soon!

Great restaurant, great food, great service.

The condition was friendly and nice. You feel comfortable and you have to wait for your order but it's worth it. The food was very good, but the portions were a bit too small for my taste. But the price-performance ratio is perfectly fine.

TOP in terms of taste and quality Unfortunately, a regular main course won't fill you up 😔 When I mentioned this, the waitress just said “flaky” (do you have to order another dessert)😳 Maybe I'm alone in this opinion... But if I pay €19 for a main course at a sports restaurant/beer garden, then I expect to be full 🤨 The location is quiet and cozy👍 There are enough parking spaces. Fortunately, there is no trace of the external “charm” of the 70s inside 😉

We sat outside. It was cozy with a view of tennis courts and a sports field. The interior of the restaurant looks clean, tidy and is lovingly decorated. I had the cream schnitzel. This was good in taste. The portion size was OK. The portion will definitely fill you up. However, it could have been a few more fries. Then the price of €17.50 would be justified. The service was friendly and accommodating. I will definitely come again.

We would like to thank the nice host very much! Unfortunately, since we didn't arrive until 9:20 p.m., he couldn't offer us any more food, but he helped us quickly find a restaurant somewhere else in a very friendly manner.

After we were more or less "dumped" at another location during our vacation, we chose the Rodenhofklause. Warm welcome, our dog was also a welcome guest. The staff is really friendly and the food is great value for money. The portions are very generous and really delicious. I give it 5 stars 🌟

We celebrated my husband's birthday here in June. Super tasty, great service. It was a great party and all the guests were very enthusiastic. Many thanks again to the whole team.

Lots of light and lots of shadows during our visit yesterday. Reservations outside worked without any problems. Our wishes regarding our small child were also taken into account. Good selection of food and drinks and friendly service. Unfortunately there was probably a communication problem in the kitchen. Of our four main courses, one dish was forgotten and served to the wrong table. The real food then took a good 15 minutes to arrive. We were forced to eat our food early, while the latecomer had to eat alone. The taste of the food was okay. The chef only meant very well with the pepper used. Due to the circumstances, we were apologized several times and given a round on the house. Therefore the circumstances are forgiven. In any case, we will come by again and give the Rodenhofklause another chance.

We went bowling here - great bowling alley, drinks at reasonable prices; We didn't eat anything; As for the service, you can only say to our female waitress: it was nothing at all: not really friendly/sympathetic and when they said “please don't sit so far away because I don't like walking that far” you could only sit there with your mouth open and shake your head 🤦🏻‍♀️

We were there on the occasion of a big birthday and had a wonderful evening. The buffet was plentiful and tasty. There were various types of grilled meat and sausages with great dips and plenty of vegetables. Of course, our Saarland Ur-Pils or a Pinot Gris from the Palatinate went perfectly with this. This evening makes you want to come back.

Menu well developed, something for everyone. The portions could be a little larger. But it tasted very good; which in my opinion is the main thing.

I thought dessert was a bit overpriced😒 2 balls of ice cream with rhubarb sauce €9.50. Food itself was great 😋

Unfortunately I was disappointed this time. After the salad, after waiting for over an hour, the food was brought lukewarm. Drinks were not asked at all and there was no apology for the long wait.

Very nice operation and good service! The Rosins roast beef is really top and very well prepared! Unfortunately the cream schnitzel wasn't good. More breading than meat and just not satisfying. It looks more successful in the pictures. Maybe having a bad day.

Ein kleiner Geheimtipp?! Wir waren hier zur Weihnachtsfeier. Das Essen war richtig gut. Service war aufmerksam und top. Was will man mehr.

Das Essen war sehr lecker , der Service super , komme gerne wieder .

WIr haben eine Alternative zur Hotel- bzw. Innenstadtgastronomie gesucht und mit der Rodenhofklause einen guten Fang gemacht. Das Motto 'Hauptsache gudd gess' hat jedenfalls gepasst: Zutaten frisch, Karte angenehm und Kombinationen (bspw. Penne mit Steakstreifen) überraschend gelungen. Preislich waren Essen und Getränke in einem gesunden Mix. Der Service war fix, saarländisch unaufdringlich und freundlich. Mehr braucht's nicht. Schön war zudem, dass es auch einen Thekenbereich gibt und man auch einfach ein frisches Bier vom Fass oder einen Wein bekommen kann. Wenn wir wieder mal in Saarbrücken sind, wäre das Restaurant ein Grund zum Wiederkommen.

Top, schönes Ambiente, sehr gutes Essen.

Also das essen war wirklich sehr lecker. Aber der Service von der Dame war nicht so gut ' Meine Frau wollte sich aufgrund von Bauchschmerzen, dass essen einpacken lassen .Die Darme hat dann zu mir gesagt aber ihne scheckt das essen ' so als hätte meine freundin indirekt gemeint dass es essen nicht schmeckt .. und vorallem die bedienung versteht bei mir und meine Frau kein spass aber bei andere hat sie spass verstanden.. und vorallem wir haben gesagt zu ihr schönen tag wünschen wir. dann kam keine antwort..also nach meiner meinung hat sie nur 10 cent Trinkgeld verdient .

Wir waren vom Essen, der Ambiente und dem Service begeistert! Das äußere Erscheinungsbild sollte man "übersehen". (Wir haben August, 14 Grad und Dauerregen) Dem entsprechend war außen alles trist und grau. Dafür innen warm und herzlich. 😊

Leider bietet die Rodenhofklause nur mittwochs einen Mittagstisch an. Essen sehr lecker, Bedienung sehr zuvorkommend.

Absolut empfehlenswert. Essen ohne Convinience wird für uns persönlich sehr groß geschrieben. Das was uns diese Küche geboten hat,war absolut perfekt und sehr empfehlenswert. Jeder Kritiker sollte seinen eigenen Job mal hinterfragen,bevor er sich über andere ein Urteil erlauben kann.Könnten alle Gastronomen euren Job öffentlich beurteilen,wie würde diese dann ausfallen??????? Deshalb,erst überlegen,dann öffentlich äußern,bzw. Bitte sämtliche Kritik oder Missverständnisse direkt vor Ort klären. Sollte ja bei allen,die sich als erwachsene sehen,keine Problem sein. Ihr Nicht Gastronomen seid geschützt,dürft Fehler machen und keinen bockt es. Leckere Schnitzel 😋 Gechillte Atmosphäre und guter Service

Duits eten voor Duitse prijzen. Prima uitzicht. Eerste avond hier terecht gekomen en niet meer gezocht naar andere restaurants.

Heute zum ersten Mal dort zum Essen. Mein Rahmschnitzel mit Pommes und Salat war köstlich.

Durch Zufall ein tolles Restaurant entdeckt, man sieht von aussen nicht, das es dich um eine Gastronomie handelt, die eine absolut tolle Küche hat und einen sehr guten Service. Sollte ich wieder Mal in Saarbrücken sein, ist das meine erste Adresse zum lecker essen gehen.

Wir waren zu 5. Alle Essen waren sehr gut. Tisch war sehr schön eingedeckt. Es gab noch ein Gericht dass nicht auf der Karte stand. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt

Wir waren mit 2 Familien zum Kegeln da, im Anschluss haben wir uns noch kulinarisch verwöhnen lassen. Das Essen war sehr lecker , der Service sehr aufmerksam und freundlich , das Ambiente war gemütlich sehr einladend und zum guten Schluss stimmte auch das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis . Alles in allem ein sehr runder Nachmittag / Abend empfehlen wir zu 100% weiter und freuen uns aufs nächste mal :))

Schöner Kegelabend mit Freunden. Essen war gut, Service top und eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, obwohl viel los war .... auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen!

Auf eine Empfehlung hin haben wir letzten Samstag um 18.30 Uhr die Rodenhofklause besucht. Parkplätze stehe kostenfrei und ausreichend vor dem Lokal zur Verfügung, wobei das Lokal von außen nicht wirklich einladend wirkte. Nach dem Betreten geht es gleich links zu einer Kegelbahn, die auch gut besucht war. Rechts sind die Toiletten und geradeaus ging es zum Gastraum. Dieser ist gemütlich, wird dem hier auf Bildern zu sehenden Bistro-Charakter nicht gerecht und erinnert irgendwie an die 1990er Jahre. Das ist Geschmacksache und die Geschmäcker sind verschieden. So auch bei Essen. Der Salat vorweg war mit einem süßen Dressing angemacht. Das war nicht schlecht, wäre aber nicht meine persönliche Wahl gewesen - wenn ich sie denn gehabt hätte. Hier wäre ein Hinweis nett gewesen, verbunden mit dem Angebot von Essig und Öl. Ansonsten gab es beim Essen keinen Grund zur Klage. Steak wie gewünscht, Pommes waren ok. Schnitzel und Bratkartoffeln einwandfrei; Sonderwünsche wurden allesamt berücksichtigt. Service war nett und aufmerksam, also auch kein Grund zur Klage. Was hat uns nicht gefallen? Die Tische stehen zu nah beieinander, da waren wir beim Nachbartisch ‚mittendrin statt nur dabei‘. Die Tür zum Flur hin war geöffnet und die Geräuschkulisse der Kegelbahn war doch recht oft und deutlich zu hören. Leider war die auf der Website veröffentlichte Speisekarte nicht mehr aktuell und die Gerichte, die wir ausprobieren wollten, waren nicht mehr da. Fazit: Preis/Leistung geht absolut in Ordnung. Wie immer gilt: hingehen, ausprobieren und sich selbst eine Meinung bilden. Für uns persönlich war es ein recht kurzer Abend in der Rodenhofklause, die uns insgesamt nicht gänzlich überzeugte.

Das ist Essen spitze! Sehr zu empfehlen. Man fühlt sich grundsätzlich auch sehr wohl in der Klause. Nur die Bedienung hatte leichte Schwächen: Dass man etwas anderes als bestellt an den Tisch bringt, kann passieren und ist gar kein Problem. Wenn man aber darauf hingewiesen und gebeten wird, die falsche gegen die richtige Bestellung zu tauschen, sollte man bitte nicht mit Unverständnis und Unwillen reagieren. Das geht gar nicht!

Hier kocht ein Genie.wir haben auch ohne Reservierung ein Tisch bekommen Essen war ein Traum, kommen sehr gern wieder .

Top Essen Auswahl begrenzt aber es ist definitiv für jeden etwas dabei. Es gibt auch immer eine Tageskarte auf der nochmals weitere Gerichte verfügbar sind. Der Service ist top und immer freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir waren im Winter im Sommer ist es bestimmt noch schöner. Vielen Dank war wirklich gut.
