Shitty service, arrogant waiters

I spent a magically beautiful evening with my friends with a summer night atmosphere. The ambience, the food and the staff were all harmonious and really recommended. The place is very quiet and therefore so pleasant.

We spent an amazing evening at Rocca Riviera. The food, service and atmosphere were extra class.

We were there for dinner last night. Very cool location and very pleasant crowd. The food was excellent. Something like that is missing in Frankfurt😉

Very bad service with very bad food! The service is like in a tavern and the hostess tends to forget to take a shower! The pasta is cooked softly and the drink is poorly mixed! Not recommended!!!

We had dinner at Rocca Riviera yesterday. As always, the food was great, the service was competent and friendly, and the atmosphere was good. Thank you for the perfect summer evening, we'll be happy to come back!

There were two of us on August 3rd. Reserved for dinner at Rocca Riviera at 6:45 p.m. Reception placement etc everything ok. After we chose our dishes (starter and main course), we were unfortunately informed that the “Loup” was out. Perhaps this could have been mentioned when the cards were handed out. The starters were taken in for now, we still needed time to decide on the main course. The starters were served before we had finished choosing the main courses. After eating, we sat in front of our empty plates and drinks (aperitif), which took a while. It's been so long now that we were considering paying. When the waitress came, we could now order our main course (Chateuabriand). We also chose a bottle of red wine. When the waitress informed us that the main course lasted about 40 minutes. So far OK! Halfway through the time the main course arrived. Except that the meat was cooked at too high a temperature and only the core was only medium rare (the edge was completely gray) so far ok. Given the price and type of catering, you would wish it were different. Side dishes, sauce, etc. were good. Unfortunately, we often had to take your wine from the service station ourselves and refill it. Afterwards we had to wait a long time until it was cleared away. Afterwards we lingered for a while with 2-3 drinks (which were very good) until we wanted to pay. The service employee neither cleared the glasses nor asked if we wanted anything else. She ran up and down the aisle several times to set the empty tables and chat with colleagues. There were also empty glasses and guests at our surrounding tables who were looking for the waitress. It was around 10:30 p.m. After a while I got up and went to the waitress and asked for the bill. After we mentioned the amount with a small tip due to the poor service, the employee asked again with a startled “please” and slammed the card machine on the table. After payment there was no “thank you” or “have a nice evening” or anything like that. The table was left without comment. There was also no sound at the exit, where people met when leaving. Unfortunately, we are very disappointed with the performance and did not leave the restaurant with a good feeling, which was not due to the food. The quality of service was comparable to that of a medium-sized pub.

The place is beautiful and had high expectations but unfortunately weren’t met. We start with the fire alarm being on for a long time. Not their fault but not a good start either. Ordered an Entrecôte that when served was introduced as a ribeye. (Oh in our system it’s called that!!?!) weird when you have both on the menu. Was ordered medium - came raw. Sent it back and it was sorted and was delicious. Ordered the spicy rigatoni vodka - the dish was delicious but nothing spicy about that. Only a creamy tomato sauce and not even a hint of spice as the menu said. We tested 8 different cocktails and liked them very well - but unfortunately the visit didn’t live up the the hype and our expectations. Would not be back.

Table reservations were kindly accepted over the phone - and a few hours later we arrived at the restaurant - the large outdoor terrace was a great asset in the summer. The interior design is from the 2010s, but quite tasteful. The audience between 45 and 65 is significantly older than expected - but no problem. Reception and service without smiles, friendliness or jokes - extremely bored looking bartenders behind the counter. The menu is more like "Standard International" and is ok, but not a revelation - the price is rather self-confident, even for Munich. Ceviche (27 euros) were served with fish bones - when pointed out, the service acknowledged this with a shrug of the shoulders. The naked Angus rib-eye 250g (43 euros) was average - the 1/2 lobster (37 euros) was a tad too dry... the side dishes were good. The appealing wine list is calculated at 200-300% - so it's still possible. It can happen that the fire alarm sounded relatively loudly after the starter - the fact that the siren interrupted any conversation even after 30 minutes was extraordinary and more than "disruptive" for our dinner. The service offered no explanation or apology - they apparently already knew that. When asked about this indisposition, I was annoyed and told that the responsibility lay with the landlord... and there was nothing they could do. What do I want anyway... Well then - good luck, but without us!

Excellent food, great drinks, fast and attentive service. Outdoor area with probably the best location in Munich: quiet and dignified on Wittelsbacher Platz. Audience chic and elegant, a few business wannabes in need of communication 😄

I was not impressed ! Long waiting times. After 1 hour not even the starters came. Ceviche was not good prepared, steak was very good but the fries…. Did u get it at mc donalds? I mean, come on. Felt like people who „shows“ money get the faster service. For this category of restaurant?!? Sorry. I was really disappointed i need to say.

If you are looking for fresh truffles then this is the right place.

The bartender charged us for drinks we didn't order and tried to convince us that we did instead of apologizing.

Nothing was bad, but nothing was outstanding either. Living off of a dated reputation apparently. Not worth the money.

Unfortunately, we were turned away in a very unfriendly manner. We wanted to have an aperitif on the terrace and were refused because we didn't want to eat anything for dinner shortly before 10 p.m.

Nice ambience and good food. But if you go out to eat for just under €400 and then later have three "bread, salt, oil" (super small amount, by the way) for €6 on the bill for 3 people, you have to be a bit surprised.

Food is good. However in my opinion not justifing high price. I had far better food in Munich for a less. 26 EUR for Rigatoni w/ Tomato Sauce?! Location is TOP! Having Business Lunch on a sunny day just at Wittelsbacher Platz cannot be better. Definitely "instagramable". Service dissapointed me. Grumpy waiter, not a single smile during our stay, passed by several times ignoring us. Gave us really the feeling we are not welcome. I go to many business lunches with executives of the big company next to your restaurant. However, now 'm not sure if I plan the next lunch in Rocca Rivera, though. The food is good (not excellent), but the overall experience does not justify the price point. A friendly and smiling waiter doesn't cost you one euro extra - but makes your clients come back. That's pure attitude. Please improve and get the basics right.

The three of us had the 1kg Chateaubriand, it was very tasty, absolutely enough for the 3 people and the service was unobtrusive but always present. We'd love to come back.

Sehr Inkompetentes Personal!! Haben es geschafft uns eine 10 € Wasserflasche anzudrehen. Uns wurde, ohne dass wir selbst bestellen, ein Teller Olivenöl mit einem kleinen Korb Brot drin gebracht, für den wir später zahlen mussten, OBWOHL wir das selbst NICHT bestellt hatten!!!!! Hätte besser sein können

It’s difficult to pack but easy to reach by U-Bahn. The main door is at the side and I missed it at the beginning. The environment is elegant and fancy, the starter is excellent, the steak is very yummy. I like the cocktail, it tastes very good.

Upscale restaurant with really excellent starters - tuna sashimi and tarte flambée with truffles are a dream - everything was very good even with the main dishes - only small drawbacks with the tiramisu and the cheesecake - there are better ones...both were very sweet

The place itself is quite fancy. The food is extraordinary, so no complaints there. The cheesecake may as well just be legendary. The problem I had was that the tables are too small, and you often can't put all the food items/plates on it at once. Also, the crowd can get way too loud, which I find to be frankly unpleasant. In a place as fancy as this, you'd assume the crowd would behave the part, but apparently not.

Unfortunately I have to give Rocca Riviera 1 star. If I had the opportunity to give 0 stars, I would have given 0 stars. Process: My meat came extremely small, my friend got her meat normally, which can also happen. Meat sucks BUT the service boss was extremely, very, very rude!! The waitress understood me and apologized that something went wrong. My meat also came very late and cold. What made me extremely angry was the statement from the service boss when I left, with a smile "and are you satisfied?" I have nothing against Rocca Riviera, the ambience is good, the location is good but the person was very, very rude.

It's lovely to sit outside in the sun at midday. The pasta did not meet expectations given the prices! €26 for a plate of pasta with tomato sauce that came to the table lukewarm was cheeky! No recommendation for food.

Nice place. Unfortunately the service as well as the food did not meet the expectations we had for a Michelin star restaurant! What an indifferent service..we ran out of drinks as well as the bottle of water and no one came to ask if we wanted anything else, the empty drinks as well as the bottle were left on the table until we paid and left. Unfortunately the prawns I ordered were too sweet and the pasta with truffle too salty. I definitely won't be going back and I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

We all ordered a round of cocktails which were great. We didn’t order much wine only two bottles as the youngsters are no wine drinkers. The food was average but we ordered more than we could eat. Once the bill came we couldn’t believe it ! We were charged 15 !! bottles of water. One and a half large bottles each which was absolutely ridiculous. Each bottle €10. After complaining we got rude answers such as ‘well you hardly had any wine’ ‘I only charge as much as you drank’ We had ordered 2 bottles of water at the beginning and were not asked again if we wanted any more. The waiter decided how much and when we were getting more water! Having had enough of this abusive behaviour we obviously didn’t leave any tip. Needless to say that we left very disappointed and the evening was ruined. What a bad an arrogant service for such a wanna be restaurant spot. Never again!!

Cooles Ambiente. Schöne Inneneinrichtung. Essen und Getränke waren sehr lecker. Insbesondere der Rocca Bellini. Service von Emiliana war sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Der live DJ am Freitag und Samstag spielt gute Musik - jedoch zu laut. Man konnte sich kaum unterhalten. Preise sind eher im oberen Preisniveau und etwas zu hoch fürs Preis-Leistungsverhältnis angesetzt.

The most delicious truffle pizza in Munich Unfortunately, a birthday celebration was included in the reservation, but this was not considered I expected that the tiramisu would have Merry Christmas written on it 🙂

Great atmosphere in the heart of the city. Here you can enjoy real, authentic Italian specialties, which is not the case with many restaurants that offer "Italian sounding" dishes and sometimes can't even write them properly on the menu. I particularly recommend the spaghetti alle vongole, an absolute highlight for me!

...where should I start... e.g. with the exceptionally delicious tarte flambée, or the very good spaghetti with lobster... or the steaks with Bernaise sauce... or the Tai cocktails or the truffle spinach... or the exceptionally attentive service... or that the food is very quick and... It came to the table very well warm… all in all everything was just good….keep it up…

Wir hatten u.a. Chateaudriand medium well bestellt und das war in der Praxis mehr als done. Wir bekamen ein neues, aber widerwillig und ohne Entschuldigung und dazu medium rare. Es wurde Brot für 4x2,- abgerechnet, keiner hat es gegessen und einiges mehr. Nein danke

Friendly service, cool drinks and good food. Prices are high but worth it

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet bei einem fairen Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Der Geräuschpegel war angenehm und ermöglichte eine ruhige Unterhaltung am Tisch. Der Service war aufmerksam bis zuvorkommend, aber stets zurückhaltend. Es war ein sehr schöner Rahmen für unser Abendessen.

Auch für ein kurzes Lunch super geeignet; schneller Service und gute Qualität.

Totally overrated. Completely unprofessional & arrogant staff. Food was okay (the fillet was at least tender and pink inside). How the recommendation comes from the 'Guide Michelin' is questionable.

Most beautiful and best restaurant in Munich

We had a wonderful evening at the Rocca Riviera restaurant!🤩 The truffle tarte flambée is a MUST. We also really liked the ambience, the interior design and the music. 🎶 And the staff at the table and reception were extremely friendly despite the large number of guests.👌🏽 I recommend making reservations, especially on weekends.

The experience at this restaurant was absolutely disappointing. Despite our reservation and express desire to sit outside, we were seated in a narrow indoor aisle by the rude and arrogant staff while all the outside tables were empty. We felt unwelcome and uncomfortable, so we left the restaurant without eating. An absolute disappointment and definitely not recommended.

This gem in the heart of Munich not only managed to exceed our expectations, but also left a lasting impression. We recently had the pleasure of visiting Rocca Riviera - a fantastic experience from start to finish. The outstanding feature of this restaurant is undoubtedly the excellent service. From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted and shown to our table. The staff was extremely attentive and courteous without being intrusive. They were always willing to answer our questions and advise us on the choice of dishes and wines, which made the entire evening extremely enjoyable. The ambience of the restaurant is unique in Munich, the furnishings are tasteful and elegant. From the atmospheric lighting to the thoughtful music in the background, a perfect setting was created for our dinner. Now to the highlight of the evening: the food. Each dish was prepared with great care and attention to detail, the flavors were always balanced. From starters to desserts, everything was of the highest quality and fresh ingredients. First-class wines were served, in perfect harmony with the dishes. All in all, our visit to Rocca Riviera was unique. The first-class service, the beautiful ambience and the outstanding food convinced us. Definitely an unforgettable experience in Munich!

I really enjoyed my last visit at Rocca Riviera with family and friends. In Munich it is one of very few restaurants where you have excellent food, kind staff, stylish interior and people with cool deep house tunes (not too loud) which give you a little taste of Ibiza. I wish more restaurants had a DJ that plays great music and serves yummy food.

Wonderful restaurant in the middle of Munich. Excellent welcome and always friendly and courteous staff. As always, the food is of a high standard and very tasty, and so are the prices, but that goes together with the ambience, staff and feeling of well-being. I’ve been here twice now and had bad meals both times - my colleague also did not enjoy her food. Average quality of produce, flammkuchen was very greasy. Had the chicken last time, also not good, and my colleague’s schnitzel looked sort of grey. Waiter was nice, staff are friendly, but clearly the staff were hanging around by the corner waiting to go on their lunch break in front of the customers. Ambience and design of the restaurant is beautiful - but you’re paying for that and the post code, not for good food.

Begeistert vom Ambiete durch und durch eine unfassbar stilvoll eingerichtete Location (würd ich genau so machen). Mir wars ein bisschen zu warm (aber das ist auch mein Problem und je nach Empfinden) Der Wagyu Burger wär klasse, könnte aber ein wenig größer sein. Zudem war die Dame aus dem Service großartig, sehr aufmerksam und ganz cute :)

Completely overpriced store with extremely unprofessional and unfriendly service. But if you like water in a conservative atmosphere for 9.50, a simple and fairly tasteless bowl of risotto for 32 euros and another €2 extra for each piece of bread, etc., this is the right place for you. Unfortunately, the establishment does not master the simplest art of issuing an invoice to the company address. Just expensive but neither tasty nor professional. Maybe the restaurateurs should go to the real Riveria for further training.

Das Lokal hat eine gute Lage. Die Einrichtung ist recht geschmackvoll. Das Konzept ist interessant. Das beste ist die recht großzügige Möblierung. Doch das war es dann leider. Die Preise für das Essen vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis gänzlich nicht gerechtfertigt. Ich hatte einen Burger, die Buns viel zu dick, damit der ganze Burger größer wirkt, das Patty ganz okay, der Käse bereis wieder fest, das Ganze lauwarm. Dazu 4 kleine Gurkenscheiben, ein paar gute Pommes Frites und Ketchup. Das war es dann. Recht trocken und meilenweit entfernt von einem echten Burger. Dann hatten wir noch Nudeln, die man bei jedem Italiener an der Ecke besser bekommt. Lediglich der Salat war gut, Doch das ist nicht schwer mit dem richtigen Dressing. Die Homemade Limonade okay, doch kein Meisterwerk. Die Cocktails nur durchschnittlich. Das ganze für 130,- €. Die Kellner zwar bemüht, doch nicht besonders freundlich. Jedenfalls kein Ort für besonders kulinarische Genüsse. Doch wenn man gerne Leute beobachtet dann ist man da richtig. Lauter Jungs und Mädels die gerne zeigen was sie haben. Die junge Münchner Schickeria, oder die sich dafür halten. Kurz gesagt Gastronomie nicht berauschend, doch recht viel Show drumherum.

Wirklich ein Besuch wert! Tolle Atmosphäre und auch eine tolle Auswahl an Gerichten :-) wir kommen immer gerne wieder!

The seafood food was really disappointing and too salty. We have never experienced a restaurant where you have to pay for the bread that goes with the salad, and you even have to pay for the olive oil and salt on the table. Unbelievable at such a high price. Totally bad experience.

Das Seafood Essen war uns wirklich sehr enttäuscht und zu salzig. Wir haben noch nie ein Resteraunt erlebt, dass das Belege Brot zur Salat noch bezahlt muss, sogar Olivenöl und Salz auf Tisch auch bezahlt muss. Unglaublich bei so höhen Preis. Total schlechte Erfahrung.

Ambiance: Very nicely and modernly furnished, but still very stylish. Herringbone parquet floors, a huge bar with a counter that looks like it was carved out of a piece of onyx or marble. Lots of fabric furniture in different colors that make the whole thing look very inviting and cozy. The interior also immediately gives the feeling that you are in an expensive store. Service: The service is OK, but doesn't correspond to the price you pay. There were five of us, three ordered a bottle of wine and they had to ask twice before it was even brought. As I was walking, I noticed that I didn't get a tag or a piece of paper with a number so I could pick up my coat. When I told the gentleman at reception, he simply turned around and served the five other people until it was my turn again. So completely ignored and then turned back to me. So really bad style. Eat: To be honest, I found the food to be average at best. I had the Vitello Tonato, spaghetti with lobster and the tiramisu. Vitello Tonato didn't taste like it was freshly made. I found the spaghetti with the lobster to be too oily and the lobster had a strange taste of its own, so I haven't eaten it that way yet. Tiramisu was way too creamy and I don't think there was any espresso on it. So you could have taken the one from Rewe. As you can tell, I'm not that impressed with the food. My colleague had two glasses of wine Headache the next day, so that couldn't have been a good thing. Price: 5 people with 5 starters, 5 main courses, 2 deserts, 5 espressos, 1 bottle of wine = approx. €530 It's a testament to the fact that the food is honestly bad for this price range. Conclusion: Unfortunately, I would neither recommend the store nor would I go there again. But the interior looks really nice.

A nice restaurant with Mediterranean and partly international dishes. Tastes good, but in the upper price segment. Particularly noteworthy are the exclusive cocktails that round off the experience. The wide selection of drinks and cocktails is impressive. The bar counter is worth seeing and offers a diverse selection. It is highly recommended to reserve a table, preferably after 8 p.m. Otherwise, if you come at 6 p.m., after 2 hours you will be politely asked to leave the table and go to the bar. The location at Wittelsbacher Platz is excellent

Das Ambiente ist wunderschön, jedoch ließ die Freundlichkeit der Bedienung etwas zu wünschen übrig, zu einem Geburtstag kommen wir daher nicht nochmal.
