Not what it used to be. Bad service and expensive food

Food was really not good. Wait staff not friendly. Terrible music. If you're expecting a traditional Munich restaurant, you've come to the wrong place.

Been here to watch football. So maybe not entirely fair, because it's awesome. Which, on the other hand, was to be expected. Food OK, service catastrophe. Completely overwhelmed, each beer brought out individually (what are these round things called again... tray?), friendly is also different. So you can watch football, but you don't have to.

Cool beer garden in the backyard.

Perfect way to finish our Bavarian trip - excellent schnitzel and great potato salad (sometimes I've found the potato side dishes around here to lack flavor but definitely not this one!). Service was great too

I came to Atzinger Wiertshaus because I saw “Agon Kocht” through Instagram and Tiktok. I wanted to find out whether what he presented in his cooking videos tasted good. My visit was totally worth it. Cheeseburger is super tasty and totally filling. Fries very tasty. Crispy and not soggy. Thai curry was very tasty and pleasantly spicy. Perfectly prepared. I can only recommend it! In general a nice place, but the food is surprisingly bad for the price. The Mushrooms with Semmelknödel are a pretty small serving (for 16€!) and the Burgers simply do not taste so good. (many of us on the table agreed). Someone told me the Schnitzel is good though (but also small)

Place was pretty cool! They have variety of drinks and finger food/regular meals to choose from! It closed up pretty early but we changed to the backside garden! 🙏🏽

UPDATE: The old Atzinger that this review was based on has closed. Now open again. Significantly smaller map. Schnitzel looked absolutely great. However, my salad with chicken didn't really convince me. Hopefully just an exception. Location and atmosphere are unchanged. After years of high-frequency testing of numerous pubs and restaurants in the immediate area, I have to say: Atzinger is the best package. Good selection, everything tastes good to very good. You can always argue over beer and therefore prefer the Türkenhof, which is also very good. That's a matter of taste. But one thing is clear: with Atzinger you won't do anything wrong outside in the summer, in bad weather or indoors in the colder months, regardless of the company. Toilet could be a bit nicer. But that's all. PS to the vegan below who gives 1 star because the chef doesn't cook a special vegan sausage at prime time and the waitress wasn't in the mood for discussions in advance - there are numerous vegan restaurants in the area. Charlie's Vegan is a maximum of 3 minutes' walk away. If you want a finer swing - The Gratitude (also great) is 2 minutes away. Just go there and don't constantly try to subjugate the entire world to your individual preferences. 🫣😉

Really nice place to sit outside and eat typical German food. Service was a bit slow for my taste. However, would recommend going here!!

Very long wait for drinks, other tables had ordered after us and received drinks before us.

Great food - the salad with chanterelles was really rich and there were still a lot of chanterelles on it! Highly recommended! The other dishes also looked good and were well received. I also found the service staff to be very friendly and they looked after us very well. Only the toilet could have been a little cleaner.

The service was very friendly and, above all, very attentive, which is rare these days. Unfortunately, the Wiener Schnitzel wasn't such a hit because the breading was too soft and the fried potatoes were very "greasy". Otherwise a nice place to stay with friends.

Excellent place to have a quick meal!! The internal garden is very nice and the service easy-going, fast and efficient. There is not a very wide choice but what is there is of quality. The menu is only in German 🤪

Super nice beer garden and juicy, tasty salad and really delicious roast pork with dumplings

I was (emphasis on was) a regular guest at Atzinger, before Corona everything was great, there was homemade Kaiserschmarrn for around €9.90. At some point there was no more Kaiserschmarrn and this week I was served a ready-made Kaiserschmarrn that you really couldn't eat, but it was much more expensive at €14.00, way too expensive. Afterwards I went to a 4 star restaurant that offered a homemade Kaiserschmarrn for €13.50, the finest. Just for comparison. Well, that's how you lose regular guests. The service was friendly, but I didn't get a discount even though I sent the whole Kaiserschmarrn back. Kind regards, H. Schwinger

Service very friendly, food okay for the price.

5/5, especially for the service! We were there with 8 people for the European Championships at the Germany game. Despite the huge rush, our ongoing orders for drinks and food arrived quickly and fresh. Nothing was forgotten, billed correctly and our two waitresses were very friendly and patient.

The veal schnitzel is simply fantastic. Service very friendly 👍👍👍

Very good Bavarian cuisine, in a slightly out-of-the-way area but very easy to access and friendly. Very good quality food, well served and tasty with a very warm welcome. We recommend!

Edit 2024: After the change of ownership, the kitchen has deteriorated extremely.

++++ The update ++++ The restaurant tries to have bad comments deleted on the grounds of “defamation”. Luckily, I still had pictures of the stay two years later. Food was OK. The chicken was dry, but the roast pork was good. Unfortunately the waitress was very overwhelmed and unfriendly. We forgot to bring the salad and in the middle of the meal we were asked to pay the bill. I find it very rude and unpleasant to be interrupted in the middle of a meal and have to pay.

The kitchen is a complete disaster! We waited an hour for lukewarm cheese spaetzle and a salad that was made with not fresh ingredients and oversalted frozen chicken pieces and was overpriced. Every 10 minutes 2 or 4 plates came out of the kitchen, sometimes for tables that had ordered after us and more often the waitresses came out empty-handed because nothing was ready in the kitchen. I give a single star and that goes to the waitress, who wasn't entirely rude to us. Good bye.

Unfortunately the food wasn't fresh. The schnitzel and fries were already soggy, so they must have been pre-cooked and had been sitting for a while. Service was ok but not particularly friendly. When we pointed out the soggy food, there wasn't even an apology. Customer satisfaction doesn't seem to play a big role here.

We've been here several times, usually just for a drink. This time we also ate and were satisfied. The service, which introduced itself to us as new, also impressed us with its quick and friendly service. Gladly again .

I like going to ATZINGER, a great, rustic restaurant with a good, Bavarian atmosphere without it seeming overloaded, somehow "honest". The food is always great and the prices are very reasonable for Munich. Recommendation ==> the roast pork (classic)

Nice little beer garden, very pleasantly away from the street and therefore quiet. The Swiss sausage salad tasted good, although the portion was a bit small.

Directly in Schwabing not far from the LMU.... New owner... Even higher prices... Prices not suitable for students... maybe wanted because it's always very full anyway... There are fewer stars because of a Swiss sausage salad that was reasonably good, but actually lacked vinegar... and cost €13

The ambience was good and cozy, but what wasn't so great was the breading on the schnitzel was dough-like and tasted strongly of egg. The Kaiserschmarrn was a little soggy. Overall, not a bad restaurant but not world class either. Good price-performance ratio and great service. The reason for the food may have been that, thanks to EM, the peak times for ordering were the same for everyone

Unfortunately, my visit to the Atzinger Wirtshaus was disappointing. The crusted pork roast turned out to be a simple roast without any crust. The dark beer sauce was heavily diluted with water and tasted very bland. The beer was okay. The burgers also looked disappointing: the bread seemed off the shelf and the patties looked like they came from the refrigerated section. Overall, the food wasn't worth the money and unfortunately the quality didn't meet the expectations of a pub.

Quaint inn, great ambience, hip and friendly staff including extensive bar highlights including bar man. Dining is a real treat for the palate!

Not recommended for public viewing. No sound possible. At least not the ones for the anthems and the first few minutes. A pity Better before Solid food. Payment takes forever. Service slow. No service in the 2nd half.

Atzinger, are you serious? Germany-Switzerland game and you don't even check the screen and sound beforehand? The store is full, but the atmosphere is missing... a bit of sound would also be nice. So please check for the next game!!!

The waiters aren't exactly hospitable and the food is just average. I haven't been in such a bad economy in Munich for a long time.

The beer was lukewarm, the food was overpriced, the football broadcast was bad because there was no sound or picture.

I would like to give this place 3 stars because the food and the ambience are really good. However, with one exception, the service was a real disaster. The waitresses were incredibly rude and unprofessional. Unfortunately, this negative experience greatly tarnished the otherwise positive impression. For this reason I cannot recommend the restaurant and only give it 2 stars.

It's not overpriced but the quality of the food wasn't good. Sauces are out of the bag and many of the side dishes are out of the box. There's still a lot of room for improvement.

Big praise to the reopened Atzinger and the great new team in the kitchen and service.

Top food and atmosphere, nice people and space for over 60 choir singers who were allowed to sing karaoke for entertainment during the European Championship half-time. Thank you very much for your hospitality and the wonderful setting at the end of our concert!

I ordered the chicken bowl. This was very tasty and quite filling. The atmosphere was very pleasant and you could have a good time in the beer garden. The service was also great.

Food was good, it was very loud as it was very busy due to the football game, so it was difficult to have a conversation while eating.

The bratwursts with cabbage were great. Unfortunately, the Viennese fried chicken was not cooked and was bland, and you couldn't taste any of the pumpkin seed oil. A large salad plate would have gone better with it than fries or potato wedges. The apple fritters for dessert made up for us again. Atmosphere and service were great.

I was there yesterday at lunchtime and ordered salmon on Reiberdatschi with salad. The food came very quickly and the disappointment also came very quickly. It seemed that the "main salad" came pre-cut out of the bag and was simply "spiced up" with two fresh lettuce leaves and cocktail tomatoes on top. Unfortunately the "cut lettuce" was by no means fresh, it had many brown spots. The dressing was bland and very sparse. The dill sauce that was served with the salmon was also pretty tasteless. The espresso I got for free as compensation was good and the gesture was nice. However, I think that the salmon dish definitely needs some improvement. No offense!

We were in the restaurant for the Champions League. Get a seat at the bar straight away. The service at the bar was excellent, courteous and very attentive. Everything we ordered, veal schnitzel, Munich schnitzel and baked meat were very good and attractively prepared.

The food is really very expensive, but the potato pancakes taste like they come from a ready-made package and the calamari and wedges are frozen. The fried potatoes with the schnitzel weren't completely cooked through and the meat was dry and barely seasoned. Sausage salad was quite good, but very artificially prepared.

Classic pub in Munich, the new menu is very clear and very inexpensive for Munich standards. So anyone who wants to eat cheaply and very well. It comes at its own expense here. In addition, there is the day ticket which is always there. The quiet beer garden in the back yard is perfect if you want to have a drink with your friends. and vegetarian dishes are also available

A little too loud, but the food is tasty. However, I find the price of just under €15 for a Kaiserschmarn far too high. The position is small and it tastes just okay...

visited during a day trip from Schliersee to Munich after the museums and was pleasantly surprised. Reasonable prices, food was so delicious and beer. There was a lot of space in the early afternoon. That works out... 👍
