I actually only picked up the homemade cakes for a wedding reception, but I was completely fascinated by the beautiful café. It's a shame we couldn't stay. In the evening we had the tarts. And what can I say? Each one was so lovingly made, super tasty and simply very full-bodied. There was even a small packet of biscuits as a thank you. If I'm in Düsseldorf again, I'd like to stay longer in this beautiful café. Just beautiful here. Thanks

The food is an absolute recommendation. The service is very friendly and attentive. In my opinion this is one of the best restaurants in Düsseldorf.

Very good local, you get an excellent café at lunchtime, and in the evening there is a selection of over 2,500 different wines with matching sessional French dishes. A wonderful concept, rounded off by the excellent patisserie.

The food and sweets here are very tasty but not cheap I also expect proper service But today's staff was flawed He not only got the number wrong but also the species ordered. Good food , nice setting but too noisy. On top of that, we had dinner on a Friday , a singer came and we couldn’t even speak with our friends anymore. I don’t understand the purpose of inviting a singer with a speaker in such a small venue.

Delicious food yes, underground waiting time! No walking past and asking how it's going, no asking for dessert//coffee! No, not again!

Definitely the best steak in town! Nothing more needs to be said about the sensational wine list, or better wine bible, with a gigantic 2500 different items and the legendary Parisian patisserie, as both are “state of the art” anyway. The quality of the products is second to none, I would love to move in here!

Last night a lot of people had the idea of ​​going to Rocaille, which created a vibrant atmosphere! Thanks to the reservation, we got a great table, including space for the dog. Thank you very much for that :-) The food was excellent and the light wine went perfectly with a relaxed summer evening. We'd love to come back!

The quality of the food and wine are very good. Really tasty. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the service. Unacceptable for a store of this quality and price range. After the main course we sat at the table with empty glasses and an empty wine bottle for at least 30 minutes. We actually wanted to have dessert and a coffee but since no one came to our table, we decided to pay and leave the shop with unfinished things. It was exactly the same at the table next to us. It's a real shame because the food is really delicious.

The world's best patisserie - every little praline, every little cake will melt away. The wine list is more of a wine bible and includes more than 2000 delicious wines - you will always be given appropriate advice on this too (even if, like me, you have no idea about wines)! The service is always extremely friendly and always takes any special requests into account - there's never really an answer. There is a small open kitchen where you can watch the hustle and bustle of the delicious cuisine. The ambience invites you to do more than just eat. A trip to Rocaille is like a little time out, a breakout from everyday life and almost feels a bit like a vacation. If you don't find happiness here, you won't find happiness anywhere. 🫶🏽

The very best food and impressive wine list

Very cozy atmosphere and delicious food. Tuna and beef tartares, duck confit, and chocolate tarte were definitely the highlights of the dinner. Staff is super nice and able to provide you with wine recommendations based on your taste and preferences. Also, good spot for an informal business lunch or dinner too!

My girlfriend and I visited the French restaurant Rocaille and loved it. The steak in red wine sauce with truffles was perfectly cooked and the recommended wine was excellent. The restaurant owner seemed a bit distant, but the food made up for it. A small disadvantage: parking spaces are difficult to find. Overall, our experience was very positive and we would like to come back.

Excellent restaurant where the taste of French cuisine prevails. The choice is wide but not infinite, which allows us to offer excellent dishes. The service was very attentive and very professional. The wine list is excellent although I would recommend displaying more full bottles rather than those already consumed. I understand that some labels are more "ambient" but wine lovers love being able to see what they are going to drink.

The food tastes excellent. I've been there several times and the quality of the food is consistently high. Really recommended! The service is nice and courteous, but not intrusive. Very good! The atmosphere is right. It's a nice, charming restaurant. We will eat there again. There are no complaints.

Great shop - French cuisine - great ambience and decent service

Nice little restaurant with a nice ambience, very friendly service and top cuisine. I can only warmly recommend the octopus and the appetizer platter for 2. But the dessert counter with lots of delicious tarts and macarons is also awesome. You can spend a lovely evening here as a couple or with friends - top recommendation from me! The Rocaille is on the list of my favorite restaurants in NRW.

Honesty, super disappointed. I dont how long those tartes au citron have been drying there but don't even want to. Should be reported at the government And the prices... you will get cake at the Pushkin for the same price in Paris! And those cakes will be fresh. Will never go back.

Delicious dinner in a cosy atmosphere surrounded by a huge collection of wine bottles. The Wine list is a book! Very impressive We were a group of 9 and all dishes were tasty.

The location was on my list for a long time because it has such good reviews. Unfortunately I didn't read them. Only after I was disappointed myself. Apparently negative comments are being deleted, I read here. We came with very high expectations because even at the entrance you can see the desserts, which look amazing! We didn't have dessert, so I can't write anything about it. The duck, our main course, was too salty and the taste was only okay for the price. The lettuce wasn't washed properly, so there was sand in the lettuce and the leaves weren't that fresh anymore. Me and my girlfriend ordered the same dish and were both disappointed. M

We walked into a completely overcrowded restaurant and, despite having a reservation, were given standing room in the corner of the anteroom at the counter. The service only showed up after 15 minutes. We were greeted differently than the following guests who had also made reservations but received much better service.

One of the best restaurants in Düsseldorf that I visit regularly. The menu is small but nice and the food is very tasty and high quality. The wines on offer are also always worth a visit... And the patisserie! 😍

We were there on March 23rd. for the second email in the Rocaille and the impression from the first time was repeated: - Super cool location, very lively with small table distances. Not for a tete-a-tete for lovers, but very nice and communicative! - Great service, very attentive and trained. - Good wines, but at €7.50 per glass it only starts... - Unfortunately, the food is just average and that's why you come to a restaurant. The starter was “Cheese Krainer with potato salad”, the sausage was OK but just like a sausage is supposed to taste, the potato salad was bland. My wife had anchovies, which were very tasty, but the salad didn't taste good. This continued with the main course: Alsatian-style tarte flambée can do “Wagner from the freezer” better! The canard was delicious, the potato side dish was really mellow, the salad was the same, untasty as the starter. So cool shop, very entertaining, but more for drinks, the price level doesn't match the quality.

Despite booking twice, there were no seats available even after 25 minutes of waiting. Spaces were made available for 2 guests arriving later. We were advised to go to another restaurant. No recommendation!

WOWx10 What a night we had here! It was top in our list and we are proud of us =) We forget to do the reservation and of course couldn't find place inside. We didn't give up and accept to sit outside at cold. Proud of our decision. Perfect wine list, incredible cold cuts and COME ON WHAT WAS THAT DESERT!! Go there and have lifetime experience.

One of the best venues in Düsseldorf! There are excellent employees who are always smiling and it is a professional business. There are thousands of wine options and of course a delicious menu. It is impossible not to become a regular of this quality! Thanks for everything.

I have only purchased the cake, and it is carefully made and tastes luxurious. Recommended. postscript I went to buy a cake on March 2nd. Before we were served, a young female staff member with long hair was packing macarons into boxes with her bare hands for the customers who had arrived before us. And then process the bill by paying by card. It was our turn without washing our hands. They cut the whole cake and packed it into the box, supporting the bottom part with their bare hands, and even placed the fallen strawberries onto the cake with their bare hands.

Hygiene management is poor. They should have given young part-time workers proper hygiene training before letting them serve customers. I felt sick because I touched the cake with the same hand I used to touch the money. Even bakeries are more formal.

Too expensive for what you get for my taste. The food was average. The dessert selection is very good. Getting a table is difficult as the restaurant is very small. In addition, we were only issued an interim invoice, which we should tell the tax office.

Never again in my life. The Germans told me, yes, superb, you have to try... But no. Hyper-expensive for the cuisine they offer. The waitress doesn't like her job, that's also obvious... And the cassoulet for 30.-... Forget it. ALSO, is it legal to not put all prices in the card???

We were at rocaille at short notice to enjoy the delicious little things from the patisserie. After a long stay in Normandy we are very spoiled, so we were delighted with the selection and the delicious taste of the little tarts. We will visit the bistro soon…

Very atmospheric, quiet place. Delicious food, the octopus was especially well cooked and the lemon tart won me over😍 It’s convenient that you can book a table through Google. The service is friendly, attentive, but slow. However, this is not annoying if you are not in a hurry.

The Rocaille… always one of our favorite restaurants in Düsseldorf…. On our last visit at the beginning of December we were disappointed: the service was very friendly and attentive, but there were crazy waiting times (for drinks and especially for food). When we asked again, we got our main courses after 9:30 p.m., about 1.5 hours after the starter (we were there from 7 p.m.). The beef fillet was lukewarm and the sauce was so good you could only imagine it. However, I was really friendly and immediately got some sauce separately. We were also disappointed that the 2023 summer menu was still available at the beginning of December (that was the title of the menu and the content was not seasonally adjusted). All in all - despite the warmth of the employee Service - really disappointing and not commensurate with the prices.

The Rocaille definitely has a lot of charm and is a very nice location to spend a long, tasteful Saturday night at. Staff is friendly and attentive but could know a few more things about the menu / wine list. Unfortunately, the food and wine availability is what pulls this place a little bit. It is said to have the largest wine menu but most of the bottles are not available when requested. The food is okay but nothing exceptional and does not fully hold true on the French concept. All in all, would go again if the instance occurs but wouldn’t actively seek out

The cakes were quite tasty and very well made but I am very disappointed with the service and the staff. First there were 3 people at the reception and none of them greeted us or wanted to answer our questions about cake. My friend then took a seat and I waited at the front for a while until someone helped me. The prices of each cake were 5-6 EURO. At the end, when we wanted to pay, the employees ignored us again because everyone was busy with their own things (one was hidden, the other was eating and another somewhere). The problem was with the payment where the lady at reception cost us 9.50 euros for each cake. So a total of 19 euros, instead of 6 per cake as it said in the display case. We spoke up and she told us that the prices on the display case were only valid for take away. We expressed our disappointment because it is an employee's duty to inform us. She didn't say anything about it. So cake delicious but bad experience in the end.

Were there yesterday. Nice place but we were treated very annoyed and condescendingly by the blonde lady. When she found out that we “only” wanted coffee and patisserie in the evening, she snorted several times as she cleared our plates and wine glasses from the table. She then didn't come to our table - we had to order at the cash register. The barista guy wasn't any better. When we got to the checkout to pay, he just looked at me and then said “yes, I can’t know what you had”. Hopefully this review will not be deleted, as the Rheinische Post reported about the store 🫠

Had a really delightful evening meal here on Halloween evening. The waitress provided excellent service. She seemed to genuinely care that we were having a good meal experience. We were a table for four. We tried the mixed starter, which was delicious. Everyone was impressed with their main course, and the desserts were equally impressive. A very extensive wine selection. I can definitely recommend the Cremant.

Edit 10/2023: wieder wurde meine Rezension bei Google als angeblicher Fake gemeldet! Wie oft denn noch? Hatte angeboten, das persönliche Gespräch mit mir zu suchen…. Edit 07/2023: es wird behauptet, es Bestände keine Geschäftsbeziehung und ich und meine Bewertung wären Fake. Ich habe mich bei Google ausführlich dazu geäußert und finde es schade, dass dem Besitzer nach über 5 Jahren auffällt, dass Kunden unzufrieden waren/sind. Da ich seit 15 Jahren in der Nachbarschaft wohne, hätte man ja auch kurz nach meiner Bewertung das Gespräch suchen können. Jetzt schon das zweite Mal eine Enttäuschung. Beim letzten Besuch war die Bedienung ausschließlich für den Chef und den „besten Gast“ des Hauses zuständig. Heute wurden meine Begleitung und ich wegen angeblicher Reservierungen (zwei Tische draußen frei- auch kein Schid, dass reserviert) erst gefragt, ob wir zu zweit bleiben, auf die Antwort ja, kam dann nur, der Tisch sei reserviert. Einen Drink können wir aber nehmen. Da wir ja eh bis dahin nicht bedient wurden, haben wir uns enschlossen zu gehen. Und ich werde mit Sicherheit nicht wiederkommen. Vielleicht vergeht ja der „Höhenflug“ wenn bald alle Gäste wegen der arroganten Art fern bleiben. Ein Stern ist hier auch noch zu viel!

Dieses Lokal hat voll meinen Geschmack getroffen. Es ist zwar kein französisches Bistro in diesem Sinne, dass es nur französische Speisen gibt. Es gibt nämlich auch spanische, und auch italienische. Allerdings ist das Konzept im französischen Bistrostil gehalten. Die Weinkarte ist außerordentlich lang, und die Speisen sind sehr Auf den Punkt zubereitet. Die Küche ist sehr aufmerksam sowie auch die Kellner. Das Ambiente hat mir persönlich sehr gut gefallen. Das Preisniveau ist aus der Sicht eines Durchschnittseinkommens sicherlich sehr hoch. Doch für besondere Anlässe auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Klasse!

Heute war mein erstes Mal in diesen Café. Ich würde sagen, wer mag echt gute Kuchen und eine Tasse Kaffee trinken, das ist richtiges Ort.

Waren spontan und ohne Reservierung im Rocaille essen. Gutes Essen, aufmerksamer Service und eine fantastische Weinkarte. Wenn ich nochmal in Düsseldorf bin komme ich wieder.

Habe ich das richtig gelesen, dass der Inhaber hier gegen negative Rezensionen vorgehen will? Was'n los junge? Man muss auch mit Kritik und anderen Meinungen umgehen können. Essen war aber gut. Kann ich mich nicht beklagen.

One my forever favorite places in Düsseldorf with which I have love-hate relationships: depending on the day you visit and food you order it is either amazing or disappointing. They have also become a bit overpriced. The time it was love: delicious plate with a variety of French cheeses and sausage with potatoes and vegetables. Our waitress was a new blond girl and she was very friendly. BTW - the desserts are always amazing and their macarons are definitely the best in Düsseldorf and they have very nice coffee too.

Arrogant und unreflektiert. Mit Anwalt gegen negative, aber legitime Bewertungen klagen? Wie wär's mit Kritik annehmen, reflektieren und dann an sich arbeiten? Die narzisstischen Tendenzen sind stark hier.. Der Laden wir gemieden!

War selber nicht dort und kann daher nur das Vorgehen des Inhabers bewerten: Beleidigungen usw. in Google Bewertungen gehen natürlich gar nicht (siehe Bericht bei der Rheinischen Post). Aber Bewertungen wie „Leider sehr schlecht. Nie wieder.“ löschen lassen zu wollen geht ebenfalls gar nicht. Sind Bewertungen für negative sowie positive Bewertungen nicht gemacht? Sollte man schon mit klarkommen können, wenn da auch mal gerechtfertigte negative Bewertungen kommen.

Beauftragt Anwälte, um unliebsame Bewertungen loszuwerden (RP berichtete). Ich halte das für schlimme Respektlosigkeit gegenüber dem Kunden, und würde schon allein deswegen nicht dort essen.

Die Tische sind leider sehr klein, der Wein ist durchschnittlich.

Leider ein kleiner Reinfall. An sich liebe ich die französische Küche, aber... Wir kamen um 19.00 samstags mit Reservierung dort an. Nachdem wir uns hingesetzt hatten, kam die Ansage, dass Lammcarrée, Wildschwein Bratwurst, Quiche und noch ein Gericht nicht verfügbar seien. Die Begründung war, dass sie am Sonntag geschlossen wären. Hmm, wenn wir nicht verabredet gewesen wären, hätte ich den Laden hier schon verlassen. Wir sind trotzdem geblieben. Ich nahm den Oktopus, weil mir versichert wurde, dass man das Gericht auch ohne Paprika zubereiten kann. Wir mussten sehr lange auf das Essen warten und natürlich war die Paprika mit auf dem Teller. Ich habe nicht reklamiert, weil ich nicht nochmal warten wollte. Ich platzierte die Paprika schön am Tellerrand, trotzdem kam auch beim Abräumen keine Entschuldigung für den Faux-pas. Ich finde diese Punkte in der Preisklasse unpassend. Deswegen nur 3 Sterne. Die Tarte au citron zum Nachtisch war klasse, aber sie hat es auch nicht geschafft, diese Rezension zu verhindern ;)

Überforderter, unfreundlicher Service bereits beim Empfang. Lange Wartezeiten auf Getränke, kaum Kommunikation mit dem Gast und schließlich abzocken beim Weinverkauf. Der von uns ausgesuchte Wein war nicht mehr auf Lager, der Chef kam persönlich an unseren Tisch, um uns zwei Alternativen anzubieten. Was er allerdings vergessen hatte, war zu erwähnen, dass der von ihm angebotene Wein das doppelte von dem kostete, was wir ausgesucht hatten. Ähnliches hörten wir vom Nachbartisch. Als wir den Chef abschließend darauf ansprachen, zuckte er nur mit den Schultern. Keine Empfehlung!!!

The atmosphere is great & drinking mainly magnum bottles is certainly CO2 conscious. The starter was amazing, as was the Beef Bulgogi my partner had (we saw a Korean cook in the kitchen, maybe that’s why). My curry ended up having mushrooms (maybe because of the Asian cook, they like to add it to all dishes as a bonus without asking) in it that don’t belong in a curry and I have a mushroom allergy. Luckily I noticed it very early. The one spoon I did have was a bit tasteless for a curry (and didn’t have a great night tossing & turning because of the mushrooms - luckily only minor effect with one spoon). Maybe only put curry on the menu if you have an Indian Cook as well… the dessert was not very inspiring or tasty. A simple apology would have been okay, but for the host to make a serious allergy into the running gag of the rest of the evening was really not called for. It could have turned out much worse for me.

Das ROCAILLE - Café ist ein wirklich schönes Restaurant mit einer französischen Touch. Alles war einfach großartig! Von dem Moment an, als wir das Restaurant betraten, wurden wir herzlich von den Gastgebern empfangen. Sie waren besonders nett und haben uns das Gefühl gegeben, willkommen zu sein. Ihr Wissen über das Menü und die Weinkarte war beeindruckend. Und sprechen wir über die Weinkarte! Es war die dickste Weinkarte, die ich jemals in Deutschland gesehen habe. Die Auswahl war überwältigend und es gab für jeden Geschmack und Anlass den perfekten Wein. Das Essen selbst war einfach vorzüglich. Jedes Gericht war liebevoll zubereitet und präsentiert. Die französischen Aromen waren deutlich zu erkennen! Insgesamt kann ich das ROCAILLE Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Kleine, aber sehr gute französische Speisekarte. Tolle Weine (Weinkarte hat 139 Seiten). Sehr nettes und unaufdringliches Personal. Räumlichkeiten sind für die Anzahl Tische zu klein. Man sitzt sehr dicht zum Nachbarn. Preislich noch so gerade vertretbar.
