Very tasty food, very friendly and attentive staff

The atmosphere and service are amazing, and the drinks are great too. I loved the steak. The pasta, though, wasn’t really worth it—cooked perfectly al dente, but the lobster was low quality and didn’t have much flavor, just tasted like the sea. The arancini’s were spectacular. Fries were good.

We were in Berlin for a weekend and spontaneously managed to get a table there. -Perfect and quiet location right on the water -Great view -Beautifully designed restaurant -Clean restrooms -Simply first-class service, friendly and courteous, offering helpful advice and recommendations -Creative and delicious food! A small menu, true to the motto "quality over quantity." Highly recommended, the beef fillet and burrata to start with. Extraordinary wine list. We'd love to come back!

Through friends, we discovered this extraordinary place some time ago and fell in love with it. The location is absolutely unique, and the food and service are second to none. Yesterday we attended the "Brunch & Bubbles" event, and it was, as expected, wonderful! We hope this event will be held more often. All in all, Rivo is an unreserved recommendation for anyone who appreciates something special.

We received the bill without any confirmation, service 0 points, shame on you, we didn't get what we ordered, we were told we could get some oil with the bread because there was no more food we ordered 20 minutes ago. The waitress then very nervously wiped the tables just so the guests could leave as soon as possible. Shame on you Berlin, what you've fallen to!!!

Spectacular. And fantastic! The view, the terrace, the decor, the staff, and of course, the food. Reservations were made online and worked perfectly. Highly recommended! Card payments are accepted. The menu is small and exquisite. You learn the essentials from the menu and can be surprised. The burrata starter was a flavor explosion. The main course was also very good. There was no room for dessert (two on offer). The attentive and unobtrusive service deserves special mention. There's a row along the parapet and one next to it, where you can sit and see well. The distance from the next table is comfortable. Not too noisy at all. You might want to bring a mosquito repellent, as it's by the water and the pretty lighting in the evening attracts not only guests to eat, but also a few animals. Everything worked out for us in the second row. 👌👌 Prices for starters and desserts are as expected > €10. Main courses > €20. If you're looking for a lovely evening, this is the place to be.

Unfortunately, the schnitzel was extremely greasy and mushy, at least on the underside. It wasn't tasty either, but the ambiance was absolutely lovely.

Our finance team recently spent a wonderful evening at the RIVO Spreeterrassen – and we were absolutely thrilled. As soon as we arrived, we were struck by the stunning location directly on the Spree. The stylish ambiance combined with the view creates a special atmosphere that's perfect for both relaxed gatherings and business events. The service was outstanding: attentive, friendly, and always with a smile. The food impressed with fresh ingredients, creative compositions, and excellent presentation – every course was a delight. From a finance perspective, we'd like to emphasize the last point: the accounting was clear, structured, and pleasantly uncomplicated – a small detail that made a big difference for us. 😉 All in all: a great location, outstanding food, perfect service, and even a happy ending on paper. Absolutely recommend it!

We visited Rivo for our anniversary dinner last night and really liked the atmosphere. We made a reservation online the day before and were seated outside. It was such a blast to watch the beautiful sunset by the river while dining. Here are my takes on the foods we had: Drinks: we had an Espresso Martini and a Hugo - the latter was too sweet unfortunately. Arancini was the star of the table, we liked it so much that we could have ordered one more (wish we did) Burrata was good but it was nothing special, I actually did not enjoy the zesty fruits in the plate that much. Truffle french fries: we love truffle so it was a treat Short Rib: the meat was well cooked and soft but I didn’t like the taste of the puree underneath. It was unnecessarily sweet. The rest was tasty though Pikeperch: we liked the crunchy texture of the fish but again i am not a big fan of sweet purees Creme brulee: the dessert itself was fine and it was served with some berry sorbet but i would prefer it to be more like a vanilla flavored ice cream on top Chocolate tart: no notes on that one, it was excellent. Loved the soury little fruit jam on the side We paid around €150. All in all we were satisfied with the Rivo (kindness of the staff, the view and ambience in general, and partly food) but I believe it is upgradable regarding their price point.

Elegant and refined venue, with helpful staff. Excellent food with unique pairings and well-balanced portions. High-end wine list. Recommended for its value. Refined location on the river, perfect for enjoying the tranquility of a refined dinner.

Food and location we're Amazing. Unforrunately WE had tò wait for our food more Than One hour.

We were delighted by the food, outstanding; creative & out of the ordinary. I found it to be a bit disappointing that we didnt get a table right by the water given that I had reserved several weeks ago and mentioned that we celebrate a birthday. The waiter was a bit stressed and explained that they had to attend a big party on the other terrace, he was friendly though. One thing we found to be a bit challenging were the masses of spiders running up & down the stone walls - given that we sat right next to them. We will come back for sure but ask for a table away from the walls - and on a evening where they are not understaffed. Our compliments go to the chef!

The food was just okay. The price-quality ratio was far from ideal. The food itself was fine, but a bit bland. For that price, you'd expect a bit more. It's also annoying that you're eating on the terrace and smoking is allowed next to you. We rarely have that in the Netherlands anymore. The view over the Spree is beautiful, and you have a view of the East Side Gallery and a large section of the old Berlin Wall.

We were invited to dinner as a group of 23 people. The restaurant offers a wonderful view of the Spree River, which made the visit pleasant. For starters, we had burrata, which was beautifully presented and delicious. For the main course, I chose short rib; the meat was good, but there weren't enough sides, so I ate my fill of the bread. For dessert, a piece of chocolate bar was served, which was probably meant to be a brownie, but tasted rather chewy and bitter. It was only enjoyable with a drink, which was the same for other guests. Unfortunately, the aperitif and the white wine served were not chilled, which is unjustified given the price. Overall, you're paying primarily for the beautiful view, but the restaurant is still worth a visit.

A fantastic location. We used your childcare services for a company party and were able to set up a mini treasure hunt, baby corner, and large toys. We had the pike-perch, which was simply undercooked, and we were told it was always prepared that way. We also had the chicken on a mountain of couscous with chickpea puree, where the couscous made up a good 60% of the meal and overpowered the rest in terms of flavor. Both menus were, in our opinion, child-sized portions, and the prices were €28 and €27 respectively. We then paid and went somewhere else to eat. It was an experience and a unique visit.

A very elegant restaurant on the banks of the Spree. The atmosphere is unique, especially at night when the lights reflect on the water. A good menu, friendly staff, and an extremely well-maintained venue.

I rarely write reviews, but today I have to. I don't know when I last ate so well. We had an appetizer (burrata) and two main courses (lobster and slow-cooked ribs, but without the bones). Wow, this beef was out of this world. It was so incredibly tender. You didn't even need a knife. It was delicious, as were the mashed potatoes and the vegetables and the sauce. All in all, it was just so well-rounded and a delight. And I thought the service was great, too. Very nice waiters!

Looking at the menu, I was at first very sceptical about the very eclectic mix of ingredients. But tasting the result very quickly changed my mind. A creative chef (or chefs) who really knows what he is doing. The service was relaxed and friendly. Perhaps not for everyone but definitely worth a try.

In short, a cool location. Delicious food, good wine, and very attentive service. We'd love to go back on our next visit to Berlin.

Wenn man hier essen will, dann höchstwahrscheinlich hauptsächlich wegen der Lage. Denn gerade an einem lauen Sommerabend sitzt man hier fast auf Höhe des Wassers, kann dem Treiben auf der Oberbaumbrücke zusehen und den Schiffen auf der Spree hinterherwinken. Gerade am Wochenende sollte man hier also reservieren, um einen begehrten Platz direkt an der Kai-Mauer zu bekommen. Leider ruht sich die Küche sehr darauf aus und ist nur als mittelmäßig zu beschreiben. Alles nicht schlecht, aber sicher auch auf Effekt optimiert. Nur das Essen ist den Preis nicht wert, hier zahl man die Location mit. Wie gesagt, es ist nicht schlecht, aber auch nichts Besonderes. Das Gleiche gilt auch für die Getränke. Dafür gibt sich die Bedienung sehr Mühe, auch wenn ich mir vorstellen kann, dass ihre charmant-direkt Berliner Art nicht für jeden das Richtige ist. Für uns war sie das und so hatten wir einen sehr schönen Abend dort.

We did the reservation to this place to celebrate birthday. Beautiful place, we set close to the window on the water, Very good restaurant, high level, the service was very professional, the food was amazing, mixed of tastes. We took, 2 starters, 2 main courses and 2 desserts, with 4 glasses of wine, the bill was around 150 euro with the Tip. For sure we will come back and recommend for friends :)

It was a pleasure to eat here. The atmosphere was warm and inviting—by far the best fine-dining experience I've had in Berlin so far. The staff weren't arrogant, but personable, patient, confident, and friendly. Our waitress's professionalism particularly stood out. We were pleased that she took care of the oldest lady at the table first, which evoked a sense of respect in her. It was quiet at first, as we were among the first guests, but as the afternoon progressed, it remained pleasant. Despite a lot of noise, no one was too loud, and the music wasn't at all intrusive—in fact, I personally enjoyed the music selection very much. The aroma of the food, the atmosphere, cleanliness, the service, the staff, the food—for me and my group, everything was a solid 5 out of 5. If I really had to find something to complain about, it would be the bathroom.

When a place says they closed in 12 you come in 10:40 and the kitchen is closed.

In such a beautiful location, they offer such meager food, it's a crime, you could make so much of it, instead they offer food that has hardly any pizzazz, no satisfaction for the palate, you only come to eat here if you're very old, or if you're lost, or because of the view in the summer, otherwise I can't explain everything else.

The location right on the water, a great view from the terraces. Over the Spree and onto the Oberbaum Bridge. The ambience inside is dignified and quiet. So that the bar is well presented and the room with the arched window. So that you sit almost at water level with a beautiful view. The food has a bit of a Japanese touch through one ingredient. To some dishes. What we ate was of a high standard and prepared with sophistication. Highly recommended and an unforgettable evening.

I recommend the delicate and tasty Angius meat The service was friendly and the welcome was very pleasant. Small downside on the chocolate tart which although presented very nicely is in fact a brownie... which is not really worth the detour. The place is pleasant and well located.

I love good food and you can really do that here. We got to know Rivo through a dinner event. From the first to the last impression we only have praise. The food, ambience and service were absolutely to our liking. I give a clear recommendation.

The location is definitely one of the highlights of the restaurant. The staff was impeccable: polite, attentive and very professional. The food is good, average, but nothing particularly surprising that would make you want to go back the very next day. The prices, on the other hand, are high in relation to the quality of the dishes, but unfortunately that now seems to be the standard in Berlin. The serving of the food was very nice! (I was unsure between 3 and 4 stars: Food: 3... Location and staff: 4).

What a view! The table we booked was by the river and we could see the Berlin’s wall on the other side! The atmosphere is very classic and fancy, perfect for a romantic dinner! Food was delicious! I bit expensive though! Staffs were very helpful! PS: they don’t have English menu which for me was a bit weird!

The food is top-notch, honestly, the portion was just too small for me. Service was multilingual, friendly, convincing, competent, fast,... think of any other positive adjectives; they're all true. The ambiance was what we liked from the pictures when we were looking for a restaurant, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations; simply excellent.

We were at Wedding anniversary dinner and, as requested, got a table right by the window with a view of the Spree and Oberbaum Bridge. The taste of the food was excellent and we really enjoyed eating here. We look forward to another visit for another special occasion.

Really cool location, directly at the Spree riverside. Very friendly staff, excellent and creative food. Layout of the table available for us was "long and linear", hence not ideal for networking, but other table options also exist.

Steak here is chewy. wine is fine. Recommend the octopus as an appetizer. Because we are Asian? We were seated and it wasn't until 20 minutes later that someone came to serve us. The person sitting next to me was able to get his menu straight away. I even made a reservation 20 days in advance.

I was there today with my family for a birthday dinner. The tables were adequately set and the ambience gave the impression that the guests could feel comfortable. Because it was early in the day, the restaurant was not yet very busy, so the noise level was found to be pleasant. The service was of excellent quality. He was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant staff explained everything to us and asked several times whether everything was to our satisfaction. The starters were very tasty and well decorated. The chef deserves special recognition. Due to a small mistake, we were immediately offered two desserts, which were also excellent. The portions of the main courses were comparatively generous, which initially surprised us. Three out of four dishes were extremely good, while one main course did not meet our expectations due to a misjudgment on our part. Overall it was a successful evening. We'd love to come back!

Built along the Spree. Fairly quiet location with an interesting bar and excellent, professional service. The buffet for large events with various selection options is also skilfully organized.

The lamb shoulder in particular was tender and tasty, but unfortunately the accompanying side dishes were far too salty. Overall, a nice experience that we would like to repeat. 4.5/5

Great, interesting place and location. Directly on the banks of the Spree with a great view of the Oberbaum Bridge. The service is great and the food is very tasty. I visited this place for a closed event, so I can't comment on normal day-to-day operations.

The Rivo was recommended to me so my expectations were high. The ambience is very warm and pleasant. The service was courteous, attentive and friendly. The food is definitely not cheap, but it is worth the price. What bothered me a bit is that no Amuse Guele was served in the price range. I also didn't like the fact that there was only a simple baguette as a starter. There is clearly room for improvement. Nevertheless, I felt very comfortable.

In one word, a perfect restaurant. Great atmosphere, amazing food. Definitely a place to go.

I can't rate the value for money since it was a company event, but the food was extremely good. The beef was incredibly tender and probably the best I've eaten so far.
