Riva Bar in München

Only left from previous Riva are the 5 stars reviews. What it was one of the best pizza places in town, changed to a bar style. The selection of pizzas has been replaced by a small amount of pinsas. What it means for us, the price increased a 50%, the amount of food decreased and the flavour of one of the best pizzas in town has been replaced by something that you can get in any other place around. Nothing good or bad, just average and loud. It would have been fairer for all of us to replace the whole name, delete the previous reviews and start from zero. Wishing good luck with the new business but not for me anymore.

The Riva Bar reminds me of my vacation in Italy. Easily drink an aperitif and enjoy a snack before moving on. The staff is incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is really nice.

One of the best bars I've ever been to. It's one of my favourite places to go. The staff is a blast, the food delicious and the drinks awesome. Love it.

Favorite bar in Munich! Could also be in Rome or Milan! Perfect bar and Italy feeling, very nice and charming service! Great Italian snacks! Everything was really perfect including pictures on the wall and music! Definitely and very happy to come back!!

Mostly Italian staff, very courteous, polite and who pays all the necessary attention to the customer. Coffee truly made to perfection, creamy, full-bodied and tasty, you can see that there is a technique behind it. I can't judge the food because I've never had it. One evening we stopped for a quick drink, order taken but then, due to a bit of chaos, they forgot the order, to apologize but together with the drinks they also brought us some crostini made by them for free. Overall 5 well deserved stars

Das Riva war meine Lieblingsbar im Tal. Wunderbare Musik, wunderbares Essen und wunderbare Stimmung. Der geniale Ort nach der Arbeit. Dann kam Corona und das Riva hat sich davon nicht wieder erholt. Es gibt andere Orte, die das geschafft haben. Leider das Riva nicht. Zumindest sind sie zu den Hochtischen und den Plätzen am Tresen zurückgekehrt.

Schönes Restaurant mit tollem italienischen Flair und Essen. Kann ich nur Empfehlen.

We went there for a drink on a Monday evening. Not a place for a date because very loud music. We then moved to the terrace. Service unfortunately inattentive. After the menu was brought, we were forgotten on the terrace - the woman preferred to talk to the regular guests. Moskow Mule so-so, wasn't enough for a second drink.

Bar/Restaurant in the centre. Very good food, friendly and nice staff. One of the best Spritz in Munich.

Tolles Ambiente, sehr gutes italienisches Essen, bestes italienisches Restaurant in der Innenstadt.

Bekannte Pizzeria und Bar, mitten drin und doch nicht überlaufen - freundliches Personal und unkomplizierte Karte. Kleiner Tip: Die Stuzzichini sind prinzipiell zu empfehlen, nur das verwendete „Weißbrot“ war einer „Pizzeria“ nicht würdig! Leider qualitativ schlecht da gibt’s besseres im Haus!

Abbiamo bevuto degli ottimi drink, l'aperitivo è stato molto buono, personale super accogliente, è stato molto divertente.

I come from Munich myself and have been to the Riva Bar in the valley for the first time since the renovation. The price is high but still ok, normal if you go to a bar that is IN. Should you then also accept that the service is very arrogant and arrogant? No, you shouldn't. I realize that not everyone in service can be a friendly and courteous host. But then you shouldn't do this job either. If you want to be treated in a condescending and almost discriminatory way, you should definitely go there. Bar Riva saw me last.

Today and never again. Kellener was incredibly loud the whole time, so when I say loud I mean he was shouting something in Italian the entire time. You could only hear him in the whole store. Very unfriendly too. When I asked the waiter for a spoon, he ignored me and told the waitress in Italian, "she would like something there," unfortunately he didn't know that I understand Italian. Very bad experience.

A piece of Italy in the middle of Munich. All service staff clearly enjoy their work and are quick. We recommend.

I've always loved Riva, even as a Riva Bar it's still great. Whenever I'm back in Munich I go to Riva. 🌸 Both the pinsa and the salad with goat cheese were super tasty. But the nice thing is also the warm and happy atmosphere.☀️ Really Italian, simply lively. I always feel welcome. 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Der letzte Besuch in der Riva Bar war schlechter als früher. Die Kellnerin konnte sich nichts merken und nach 2 Stunden wurden wir mit der Bemerkung eine Reservierung gelte immer nur für 90 Minuten und der Tisch würde jetzt für die nächsten Gäste benötigt, hinauskomplimentiert. Sowas habe ich dort noch nie erlebt und ich weiß nicht ob ich nochmal hingehen werde.

Essen war sehr lecker, Service am Anfang noch gut und freundlich, ließ aber im Laufe des Abends nach, Essen wurde verwechselt also es kam nicht das was bestellt wurde und bei einem von uns kam das Getränk erst lange nach dem Essen überhaupt. Das alles ist nicht dramatisch nur fanden wir das Ende sehr unschön. Der Kellner legte uns ohne nachzufragen eine Gesamtrechnung hin.Wir waren aber 8 Frauen alle unabhängig von einander und jeder mit bar oder EC als Zahlungsmittel. Dann lies der K Kellner sich gar nicht mehr blicken und wir mussten alleine alles ausrechnen wer was hatte dann zahlte netterweise eine von uns alles mit EC und wir mussten uns gegenseitig das Geld wiedergeben oder überweisen. Das war unnötig der Kellner hätte mit uns einzeln abrechnen müssen. Es war auch nicht soviel los das er es nicht geschafft hätte. Das ganze hin und her mit dem Geld hat unseren Abend zum Schluss leider getrübt. Schade das hätten wir uns anders gewünscht. Weiterempfehlen ja aber mit Einschränkungen. Essen ja Service nein aber leider geht das eine ohne dem anderen nicht für einen guten Abend.

Wir wollten der Riva Bar eine 2. Chance geben. Leider war keine Verbesserung zu bemerken. Das Essen ist immer noch hervorragend, der Service sehr desinteressiert. Daher kein überzeugendes Gesamterlebnis. Wir werden ihm keine weitere Chance geben. Schade. Die Gerichte sind nämlich sehr gut.

Authentic in every sense possible, incredibly good food and generous with drinks

For me, the Riva Bar in the valley has been a constant stop for over 15 years. The food is always delicious, the service is always very attentive and warm. Typically Italian, exactly! There’s an Italian feeling in Munich too!

Unsere OpenTable Reservierung war nicht auffindbar, die Bedienung (teilweise) schlecht gelaunt, an unsere Weinbestellung mussten wir mehrmals erinnern. Das Essen war aber toll und auch ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Darum werden wir es noch einmal probieren.

Quality of the starters was average at best. I couldn't try more because when we wanted to order we were told that the chefs had gone home due to illness. It can happen, but it would have been professional to tell us before ordering the starters. Service was very dependent on people. Price performance questionable

Very average Pinsa, the seating area in the restaurant is very narrow and not comfortable due to the very low seat cushions. On the other hand, outside in the small outdoor area it is quite nice to watch all the goings-on in the city center while you eat. Service a bit boring but did their job But there are definitely other pizzerias nearby that I remember more positively after my first visit.

What should I write - well. If you want to squander your fiat money in hedonistic demonstrative consumption, you've come to the right place. Small portions of food served with beer in prosecco glasses. Serving on gnome stools and tables next to the toilet entrance is the highlight of a Kir Royal party. Have fun on the Titanic! Oh yes - the staff tried very hard - and we were there without a dog.

Good place for a quick bite to eat bit it was very busy at lunch when I visited

We come from Cologne and had dinner here this evening. The food was really delicious, but unfortunately the crema Catalana was slightly omitted. But the tagliatelle funghi and pinsa were outstanding. Particularly noteworthy is the incredibly good service. The guys were nice, accommodating and just in a good mood. Definitely worth a stop in Munich! We'll come back when we're in town. Price-performance ratio is great.

Cool bar, good food, great atmosphere

We made a reservation at short notice because we wanted to eat something. In the front area there are only standing or high tables. The music is also very loud so you can't have a conversation. In the back area we were kindly sent away because we had a small dog with us and dogs were not allowed in the back area. We could have sat in the front area but then decided to leave. A pity!

The atmosphere is perfect, but what makes this atmosphere perfect is the staff. I have never seen such warm attention and care in any restaurant I went to in Munich. You are wonderful, thank you. I will definitely come here again when I come. And I recommend it to everyone.

Felt like I was eating on a plane, with pygmy chairs and little tables. My wife and I Had pasta and wine for lunch (it was perfect). Today (Feb. 27, 24) we had a really good service person, a young lady with a real interest in the guest...top. Enjoyed the visit.

Tolles lebhaftes Lokal ! Der Service ist eine Schau !Freundlich und zuvorkommend mit einem angenehmen Schuss Lockerheit. Es wurde sich große Mühe gegeben unserem Wunsch den Tisch zu wechseln zu entsprechen. Cocktails waren toll und das Essen prima. Tolle Auswahl an Speisen. Einziges Manko: die auf der Website versprochenen Snacks zum Aperitif bis 18.00 Uhr gab es nicht. Trotzdem eine tolle Erfahrung! Kellner*innen und Gäste: alle gut gelaunt ! Eine Bereicherung ! Mitten in München ein Stück Italien !

Es war kalt im Lokal. Ich habe Salat mit Hänchen und knusprige Kichererbsen bestellt, das Hänchen hat sich sehr knorpelig angefühlt und die Kichererbsen waren nicht knusprig. Absolut überteuert. Bedienung war sehr nett.

It's a really amazing place, definitely I will be back there. The food is delicious, specially the breads with toppings reminds me the buffet in Trieste. The staffs are really friendly but it's crowded, so it might take some time to get your drinks. I understand that's a typical Italian place, but, by the time, the music gets very loud, becoming a bit difficult to talk.

Wow, all I can say is super friendly service and then we don't get little treats for granted, we'll be back

Der Laden war voll und wir nicht angemeldet. Die lässige Atmosphäre und der coole und zugewandte Service haben uns zum Warten motiviert. Gute Entscheidung. Pizza war bestens, der Wein auch. Die gute Stimmung regt zu Gesprächen mit den Nachbartischen an.

Poor reception, barely enough room for two people, 20 minutes of waiting to take our order, once taken we were asked to leave our table for a place in the corridor facing the toilets, following the arrival of a large group who obviously did not have a reservation. This done, we are asked if we have a reservation for this apparently prestigious place. After leaving the place I won't even send my worst enemy there. A word to the wise.

We recently went to the new Riva Bar for my brother's birthday and were pretty thrilled. The food was simple and to the point, the quality of the ingredients was very good. The pinsa was very tasty, but too small for the price. The pasta portions and the tomato mozzarella were great. The pricing in general was a bit too high. You simply pay for the city center location. The atmosphere was lively and loud, which we thought was great. The service was super attentive and tried very hard to read our every wish. We'd love to come back

A really wonderful place - a very classic Italian bar/café. Warm and friendly service, you quickly get into conversation with people and bang...time flies. Almost like a short vacation in Italy.

Un posto super carino scoperto per caso. Abbiamo bevuto un ottimo cocktail accompagnato da deliziosi stuzzichini, servizio cortesissimo tutto italiano, musica di sottofondo…cosa chiedere di più?

Hanno cercato di modernizzare un ristorante che andava bene così com'era. Hanno cercato di fare una cucina che non gli appartiene, i cuochi non sono preparati per piatti Underground Hipster, poi il rosmarino sulla pasta?! Anche no, il cibo è sconnesso non c'è mantecatura sui primi piatti è tutto troppo veloce, alchè mi fa pensare ad una cucina già pronta.. pasta bollita, al dente manco a parlarne, i funghi precotti e messi a riscaldare quando si fa il piatto, ciò incrementa l'acidità del prodotto, e rovina la pasta, non c'è amore in quello che cucinano. Ho visto i cuochi in cucina ed è ora di mandarli in pensione, perché va bene dar da mangiare la M**** ai tedeschi ma in quanto italiano sono indignato. Vi prego! Il rosmarino sulla pasta anche No. Vado a mangiare li da 20 anni non ho mai avuto problemi, da quando hanno rinnovato tutto, la cucina è rovinata, cercano di fare piatti raffinati con cuochi che hanno 60 anni con una mentalità di cucina vecchia scuola, smettiamola dai... Mai più, è stato bello finché era tutto semplice e la cucina era davvero buona.. Il servizio eccellente camerieri molto cordiali e simpatici.

Food was great, a bit of a twist on the regular Italian dishes. Service was good, a bit disorganized in the beginning, the 1st wine was the wrong one, but after that it went fine. Ambient is small, no windows and with a lot of people it got warm and a bit tight. Overall a nice place to drink wine, have a bite and a chat, I recommend it.

Nach dem Umbau eine wahnsinns Location in der man sich vom ersten Augenblick an wohl fühlt. Die Pinsa war sehr lecker und der Service nett und flott. Danke ans Team - wir kommen sicherlich wieder 🙂

Toller Kaffee, toller Sprizz (vor allem die Version mit Sanbitter) und leckere Pinsa. Tiramisu ebenfalls sehr gut. Service war spitze, wir konnten den Tisch tauschen, weil ich an die Eckbank wollte. Kellner/in motiviert und sehr nett. Wenn man durch München schlendert und man ist erschöpft, oder das Wetter ist mies, dann ist das der Ort, um wieder zu Stimmung und Kräften zu kommen.

Hier fühlt man sich einfach super gut aufgehoben. Der Bedienung merkt man keinen Stress an und wird herzlich aufgenommen. Gern immer wieder. Danke für eine entspannte Zeit in der Münchner City.

Tolles Restaurant! Essen war super lecker, lediglich war die Portion etwas zu wenig bei der Pinsa. Ansonsten war das Personal sehr freundlich. Das Ambiente war sehr gut, tolle Musik im Hintergrund und auch eine tolle Einrichtung.

Nachdem renoviert wurde und ein Jahr geschlossen war, erstrahlt die Riva Bar in neuem Glanz. Der Service und das Essen, sowie die Getränke sind Gott sei Dank unverändert. Obwohl es die Pizza im ursprünglichen Zustand nicht mehr gibt. Dennoch alles bestens und absolut empfehlenswert.

Sehr nette Bedienung, angenehmes Ambiente und guter Gin&Basil.
