The food was Great, the desserts are wow and the atmosphere is amazing…. Highly recommended

I recently visited Weichandhof with a friend, and we were both absolutely delighted. The service was attentive, friendly, and pleasantly unobtrusive—just as you'd hope. I had a salad as a starter, followed by roast pork with red cabbage. A small special request was accommodated without hesitation, which is sadly rare these days. The meat was succulent, the sauce rich, and the red cabbage perfectly seasoned—classic Bavarian cuisine at a very high level. My companion had venison ragout, which was also outstanding: wonderfully tender, delicately seasoned, and served in a generous portion. The price was also perfectly fair for this quality. On top of that, you can park right outside, which is a real plus in Munich. We will definitely be back—highly recommended.

Very nice atmosphere, very friendly service, I wouldn't choose the candlelight dinner again, the pork tenderloin was burnt and dry... tables too close together, hardly any privacy.

Candlelit Dinner We were delighted by the atmosphere, the ambiance, the attentive service, and the excellent service. We enjoyed our candlelit dinner in a small private room at the same time as two other couples. The timing was perfect – the food arrived at pleasant intervals, and the wine and water glasses were never empty. Salt and pepper were available at the table, allowing us to season the delicious food to our liking. Thank you for this unique evening! Highly recommended! P.S. Some dishes looked so good that we completely forgot to take a picture of the beautifully presented plates first ;) We simply had to try them right away! Unfortunately, for some courses, we only have a picture taken after the "oh-we-wanted-to-take-a-picture" moment, so please don't be surprised by the smudged sauce edges.

We also came for the candlelit dinner. The menu was excellent, with a wonderful combination of flavors, and the wine paired perfectly. The Christmas atmosphere, with its Bavarian-style decor, red baubles, and candles, was very cozy and atmospheric. The interior design of the candlelit dining room is not suitable for vegetarians/vegans (there are some stuffed animals that seem to be watching you), but the regular restaurant area was much more discreet in this regard.

The candlelit dinner was wonderful. Good food, good wine, and excellent service. The value for money was outstanding. Highly recommended! Thank you!

My Visit to the Beer Garden I visited the beer garden on a warm day and could only find tables that were already set. These were located under umbrellas that could have used a cleaning. The view included barrier tape, uncovered grills, and a broken outdoor kitchen, which detracted from the overall impression. Food and Service The food seemed rather basic and was average to my taste. The service was friendly but not particularly attentive. There was no soap in the restroom, which I found unpleasant. Atmosphere The restaurant and the garden have a lot of potential, but parts of them appeared neglected. Despite the beautiful weather, only a few tables were occupied, perhaps because the aforementioned issues diminished the overall impression. Conclusion Overall, I had expected more and hope that the team will use the attractive setting to improve the ambiance and the quality of service.

We asked for meals without the side dish (french fries) because of the price. We been told that the side dish is part of the meal. When we got the bill the price was more expensive almost in 10%

I think it's too expensive for the portion size. I also couldn't tell that it was ultra-organic or regional. We had seven different dishes, and all were good and tasty. It was really okay. The food was mediocre: the salmon risotto was undercooked, the roast pork had no crust, and the potato salad with the baked potato was very mediocre. The service was irritated but professional. The ambiance inside is very nice, but the outside is mediocre.

Refined dishes and great service.

Bad stomach problems afterwards for almost a day. I sent the ice cream back after eating a few spoonfuls because it was in such poor condition. The older, stocky waiter still got a five euro tip and didn't even think it was appropriate to thank me. He was probably angry with me because I sent the food back. Let alone the hot food, which could have been packed up 70% and later disposed of, the stomach problems are not my favorite condition. When I said goodbye to him in a friendly manner as I left the restaurant, he looked at me strangely and remained silent. That doesn't make you want to go back. You have my trust once and once it's gone, it won't come back - especially not when it comes to food. And I'm not going to put up with this nonsense anymore. So there are two negative entries in a short space of time - if I can save others from unpleasant experiences, all the better. By the way, I restrained myself while writing this text.

We had a family celebration today. Everything was to our satisfaction, the service was attentive and prompt, and the food was excellent. Everyone was extremely happy.

Didn't quite meet my expectations. The price was quite high, the quality was okay, but there's room for improvement. The pancake soup was extremely salty; I simply diluted it with water the second time. The pork roast with crackling was a third fat. The crust wasn't particularly crispy. The flavor was good, though. The Kaiserschmarrn was excellent! Otherwise, I highly recommend it.

I've been there a few times. The food is good and fresh. It's still prepared the old way. As far as I can tell, there are no semi-finished or finished products that are heated in the microwave and served as some kind of culinary masterpiece.

We booked a candlelight dinner through Jochen Schweizer. (If you want it as a surprise, there are huge signs in the restaurant with the price underneath, so the recipient will unfortunately see what it costs.) The food was delicious. Only the fish was a bit too black. The wine was also great. Our waiter was excellent. A wonderful, very friendly, and kind person. Many thanks to him, especially, for the lovely evening. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Parking was a bit difficult.

Modern conference rooms and a beautiful restaurant with good food. The conference catering was unfortunately bordering on nonexistent. Filter coffee from thermos flasks tastes just the same, especially when it's an hour old. The partition wall between the conference rooms wasn't closed properly, and the soundproof shutters on some of the elements weren't extended. This made it quite disturbing to hear the other room. Lunch in the restaurant was very good, the service was quick and friendly. Payment by card was easy. Prices are on a par with Munich standards, like in the city. Rather on the higher end. The beer garden would certainly be a nice place to sit in good weather. The hotel itself is poorly located. There aren't enough parking spaces; everything is completely jammed because there's a car repair shop on the corner of the hotel property, whose customers also park there. Anyone arriving here by car will need strong nerves.

Very good food, attentive service staff

Last Friday we had the redfish with dessert. Unfortunately, it was inedible! More breading than fish, dry and carelessly burned on the grill instead of in the pan, and with that small fish fillet, it definitely wasn't redfish! Or cheap frozen food! The remoulade used to be homemade, but now it comes from a tube! The tiramisu and mousse tasted dry and refrigerated! Even the two fresh berries couldn't save it. No reason to eat here again. The only good thing was the friendly waiter.

We celebrated our wedding at Weichandhof, and it was fantastic. Everything was perfectly organized, the food was amazing, and the service was so attentive. You made our special day exactly that and even better. Thank you so much 🤩 🙏

If you're looking for something classy, ​​cozy, and rustic, this is the place to be. Events like weddings, large family celebrations, company parties, communions, and the like are ideal here. It's the perfect spot with a small playground where even the little ones can have fun. The service and food are excellent! Overnight stays followed by a hearty breakfast are also recommended!

It's a shame. The culinary offerings are declining significantly. We've known the Weichandhof for many years. Yesterday we had soup, a salad plate, a bacon board, and duck. All very average. The price/performance ratio isn't right. And yet, the guests notice.

I chose the Viennese roast beef. Unfortunately the meat was very, very tough. I was looking forward to a roast (after a long time) again. But this one definitely wasn't fun. It's a shame that such a stringy and tough piece of meat finds its way onto the plate. My daughter had the roulade. This was just as tough and had way too much smoke flavor. Unfortunately, the taste of the sauces was not what you would expect from “honest cuisine”. The roasted potatoes were not crispy and way too oily. Fried onion from the package. Too bad that was nothing. Service was friendly. Rustic atmosphere with plastic flowers.

Well, I ate my most expensive and worst (Viennese) roast here. I was really looking forward to the food as it was highly recommended to us. The Viennese roast is served with two pieces of meat. The first piece of meat was ok. The sauce that came with it was too sweet for me and I didn't like it. What really annoyed me, however, was the second piece of meat. I tried it three times and had to spit it on the plate. On the fourth attempt to find an edible piece of meat, I gave up on cutting it and informed the waiter. Yes.. I got a new plate with edible meat. Actually, I had already lost my appetite but because I was hungry, I choked on it anyway. I have to assume that there are trained chefs in the kitchen who can judge the quality of the meat. Such a tough and sinewy piece should never go to a guest. My companion who recommended your restaurant was terribly embarrassed and apologized to me several times. Oh yes, and a little attention to the inconvenience would have been very well received by me.

Vegetarian food in particular leaves something to be desired: the beetroot dumplings were probably prepared a few days ago, but when they were served on the plate they weren't even properly warmed through. The heating panel, on which the dining table is directly leaning, could use a damp cloth for a long time, as dusty as it is.

Food was very bad and completely overpriced for this “taste experience”. Had a char with red wine risotto (overcooked, mushy) and fried arugula (dry as straw). Wife had the roast pork. The dumplings are dry, firm convenience goods, sauce - firm, bound consistency reminiscent of a finished product. The best thing was the coleslaw.

We had our family dinner on Christmas Day at the Weichandhof. The vegetarian/vegan dishes were not to our taste! There was only one option of each, both were with porcini mushrooms. If you're not a mushroom fan, well. In addition, the portions weren't particularly generous, so you didn't feel full. The normal menu would have had more vegetarian/vegan selections, but there was a separate Christmas menu. In addition, the prices were totally exorbitant, as you can see from the picture. The meat dishes were probably tasty, but the price was also outrageous and significantly higher. We were accommodated in a side room that had more of a conference room feel, but it wasn't comfortable there. The waiter wasn't very friendly either (it's understandable that you don't feel like working on a public holiday, but it's a shame for us). All in all, we were very dissatisfied and will spend the holiday next year in a different restaurant.

Nice presentation, but the food wasn't good. First we tried Kaiserschmarrn: half of it consisted of caramelized sugar. You have to search desperately for the dough. Then we got beef roulade which was tough and very dry. The sauce corresponds to grade 3. At least the side dish was OK. I come from Lower Franconia and am a quality inspector. With us you get both dishes in top quality and only for half the price. Can you believe it, 1 beef roulade + 1 Kaiserschmarrn 45€?

The juiciest duck EVER! Here the kitchen actually cooks everything itself. No finished products (convenience products) that are just warmed up. I ordered half a duck with dumplings and red cabbage for the fair. I really eat out a lot, so I can say that this restaurant is really recommended. Service very attentive, ambience upscale, Bavarian and cozy. Kitchen excellent. This is where a Munich resident likes to go 🤩

As always, very nice. The food is very good, the atmosphere is very cozy and the service is exceptional. Even though we only have our girls' night there every two or three months, we are always treated like regulars. For that and everything else, we always like to come back.

We got food to take away, once the onion roast and once the original Viennese style schnitzel. The cheese spaetzle with the onion roast was very good. The onion roast itself was very thin and not a large piece of meat. In our opinion not 100% worth the price. The original Viennese style schnitzel was very good and we would 100% order it again.

Still very good food and very friendly and courteous staff. The new chef is great - but unfortunately he doesn't make Kaiserschmarrn as well as the old chef. This portion is smaller, less caramelized (i.e. slightly crunchy or crunchy) and no almonds and without a hint of rum. Now with raisins. The individual pieces are a homogeneous mass with less bite because there is no caramelization. Still good - no question about it, but unfortunately no longer the best Kaiserschmarrn I've ever had.

The ambience and service was very good. The tymian risotto dumplings are incredibly delicious! We didn't find the food commensurate with the very high price. The red cabbage and the spaetzle were cooked too long. The dessert as a cheesecake... advertised for €9.90 consisted almost entirely of foam. It was definitely too expensive for that.

We had lunch with the family. The restaurant is nicely decorated inside. We were not at all satisfied with the food. We doubt that fresh cooking is done here. The fried potatoes had little to do with fried potatoes and probably came from a bag - not at all crispy and with the taste of ready-made products. The onion roast for a good €30 was lukewarm, not cooked medium and was probably delivered to the restaurant ready. All sauces didn't taste freshly cooked. The roast pork didn't have a crispy crust. The Maultaschen weren't bad, the coffee was okay. The price-performance ratio is extremely poor.

The ambience is quite nice and the service was friendly and quick, but we weren't completely impressed by the food. The portions are too small and overall it is incredibly expensive. The dessert didn't live up to its promise either. The "pistachio cheesecake" was a layered dessert in a small beer glass (?) with ice-cold frozen berries, cream (presumably from a spray can), industrial pistachio sauce and a crumbled shortbread. I think the material value of this dessert was maybe 50 cents? It will then be sold for €9.50.

Wir waren mit 34 Personen hier (die Zahl stand nicht fest) , das Personal war schon im Vorfeld äußerst kooperativ und freundlich! Das Essen (wir durften im Voraus auswählen, aber nicht zu wenig!) war ausgezeichnet, der Service sehr nett und schnell, so dass alle das Essen fast gleichzeitig bekamen! Es war für uns ein schönes und dem Anlass entsprechendes würdevolles Erlebnis! Vielen Dank, wir kommen gerne immer wieder!

Das waren die kleinsten Spinatknödel, die wir je zu Gesichte bekommen habe (3 Knödel in etwa Tischtennisball groß). Das war für mich das erste und leider auch letzte Mal.
