We went there twice during our vacation, received very friendly service and the food was delicious. The price/performance ratio suited us.👍🏻

It's a shame. The culinary offerings are declining significantly. We've known the Weichandhof for many years. Yesterday we had soup, a salad plate, a bacon board, and duck. All very average. The price/performance ratio isn't right. And yet, the guests notice.

...a permanent guest for almost 3 years, unfortunately a change has been noticeable in the last few months! have you replaced the chef? the service is still excellent - the kitchen is unfortunately (too often) inadequate... the advice is therefore directed at the management, combined with the hope for improvement... vG

I chose the Viennese roast beef. Unfortunately the meat was very, very tough. I was looking forward to a roast (after a long time) again. But this one definitely wasn't fun. It's a shame that such a stringy and tough piece of meat finds its way onto the plate. My daughter had the roulade. This was just as tough and had way too much smoke flavor. Unfortunately, the taste of the sauces was not what you would expect from “honest cuisine”. The roasted potatoes were not crispy and way too oily. Fried onion from the package. Too bad that was nothing. Service was friendly. Rustic atmosphere with plastic flowers.

The food was a poem, the saddle of venison and vegan Maultaschen were incredibly delicious. The service is incredible, many hotels in Munich can take a page from this, being so attentive, friendly and reading your wishes from your eyes. We'll be back.

Well, I ate my most expensive and worst (Viennese) roast here. I was really looking forward to the food as it was highly recommended to us. The Viennese roast is served with two pieces of meat. The first piece of meat was ok. The sauce that came with it was too sweet for me and I didn't like it. What really annoyed me, however, was the second piece of meat. I tried it three times and had to spit it on the plate. On the fourth attempt to find an edible piece of meat, I gave up on cutting it and informed the waiter. Yes.. I got a new plate with edible meat. Actually, I had already lost my appetite but because I was hungry, I choked on it anyway. I have to assume that there are trained chefs in the kitchen who can judge the quality of the meat. Such a tough and sinewy piece should never go to a guest. My companion who recommended your restaurant was terribly embarrassed and apologized to me several times. Oh yes, and a little attention to the inconvenience would have been very well received by me.

The Weichandhof restaurant has a really nice atmosphere with great, cozy furnishings. The service was excellent and very attentive. The food met all my expectations. I will definitely visit the restaurant again as I was very impressed by the atmosphere, food and service. Great concept!

Vegetarian food in particular leaves something to be desired: the beetroot dumplings were probably prepared a few days ago, but when they were served on the plate they weren't even properly warmed through. The heating panel, on which the dining table is directly leaning, could use a damp cloth for a long time, as dusty as it is.

Food was very bad and completely overpriced for this “taste experience”. Had a char with red wine risotto (overcooked, mushy) and fried arugula (dry as straw). Wife had the roast pork. The dumplings are dry, firm convenience goods, sauce - firm, bound consistency reminiscent of a finished product. The best thing was the coleslaw.

Great to enjoy Bavarian cuisine. We were served quickly and friendly.

We had our family dinner on Christmas Day at the Weichandhof. The vegetarian/vegan dishes were not to our taste! There was only one option of each, both were with porcini mushrooms. If you're not a mushroom fan, well. In addition, the portions weren't particularly generous, so you didn't feel full. The normal menu would have had more vegetarian/vegan selections, but there was a separate Christmas menu. In addition, the prices were totally exorbitant, as you can see from the picture. The meat dishes were probably tasty, but the price was also outrageous and significantly higher. We were accommodated in a side room that had more of a conference room feel, but it wasn't comfortable there. The waiter wasn't very friendly either (it's understandable that you don't feel like working on a public holiday, but it's a shame for us). All in all, we were very dissatisfied and will spend the holiday next year in a different restaurant.

Nice presentation, but the food wasn't good. First we tried Kaiserschmarrn: half of it consisted of caramelized sugar. You have to search desperately for the dough. Then we got beef roulade which was tough and very dry. The sauce corresponds to grade 3. At least the side dish was OK. I come from Lower Franconia and am a quality inspector. With us you get both dishes in top quality and only for half the price. Can you believe it, 1 beef roulade + 1 Kaiserschmarrn 45€?

The juiciest duck EVER! Here the kitchen actually cooks everything itself. No finished products (convenience products) that are just warmed up. I ordered half a duck with dumplings and red cabbage for the fair. I really eat out a lot, so I can say that this restaurant is really recommended. Service very attentive, ambience upscale, Bavarian and cozy. Kitchen excellent. This is where a Munich resident likes to go 🤩

As always, very nice. The food is very good, the atmosphere is very cozy and the service is exceptional. Even though we only have our girls' night there every two or three months, we are always treated like regulars. For that and everything else, we always like to come back.

We got food to take away, once the onion roast and once the original Viennese style schnitzel. The cheese spaetzle with the onion roast was very good. The onion roast itself was very thin and not a large piece of meat. In our opinion not 100% worth the price. The original Viennese style schnitzel was very good and we would 100% order it again.

Still very good food and very friendly and courteous staff. The new chef is great - but unfortunately he doesn't make Kaiserschmarrn as well as the old chef. This portion is smaller, less caramelized (i.e. slightly crunchy or crunchy) and no almonds and without a hint of rum. Now with raisins. The individual pieces are a homogeneous mass with less bite because there is no caramelization. Still good - no question about it, but unfortunately no longer the best Kaiserschmarrn I've ever had.

The ambience and service was very good. The tymian risotto dumplings are incredibly delicious! We didn't find the food commensurate with the very high price. The red cabbage and the spaetzle were cooked too long. The dessert as a cheesecake... advertised for €9.90 consisted almost entirely of foam. It was definitely too expensive for that.

The ambience is quite nice and the service was friendly and quick, but we weren't completely impressed by the food. The portions are too small and overall it is incredibly expensive. The dessert didn't live up to its promise either. The "pistachio cheesecake" was a layered dessert in a small beer glass (?) with ice-cold frozen berries, cream (presumably from a spray can), industrial pistachio sauce and a crumbled shortbread. I think the material value of this dessert was maybe 50 cents? It will then be sold for €9.50.

We had lunch with the family. The restaurant is nicely decorated inside. We were not at all satisfied with the food. We doubt that fresh cooking is done here. The fried potatoes had little to do with fried potatoes and probably came from a bag - not at all crispy and with the taste of ready-made products. The onion roast for a good €30 was lukewarm, not cooked medium and was probably delivered to the restaurant ready. All sauces didn't taste freshly cooked. The roast pork didn't have a crispy crust. The Maultaschen weren't bad, the coffee was okay. The price-performance ratio is extremely poor.

Wir waren mit 34 Personen hier (die Zahl stand nicht fest) , das Personal war schon im Vorfeld äußerst kooperativ und freundlich! Das Essen (wir durften im Voraus auswählen, aber nicht zu wenig!) war ausgezeichnet, der Service sehr nett und schnell, so dass alle das Essen fast gleichzeitig bekamen! Es war für uns ein schönes und dem Anlass entsprechendes würdevolles Erlebnis! Vielen Dank, wir kommen gerne immer wieder!

Das waren die kleinsten Spinatknödel, die wir je zu Gesichte bekommen habe (3 Knödel in etwa Tischtennisball groß). Das war für mich das erste und leider auch letzte Mal.

Took my parents for Monday lunch, service was top class, we had our 3 year old and our 1 month with us. My daughter was very happy with the pencils to draw with from the waiter. Great food and drink.

The schnitzel is a disgrace for the price. 30 euros for a pork schnitzel, very tough and didn't taste particularly good either. The pig was probably just too happy the way it was presented in the newspaper... Staff friendly and otherwise the atmosphere is great! Better to have the burger or something completely different.

2024-06-09 A good lunch consisting of Fleichpflanzerl with potato salad and dark beer sauce, as well as Weinerschnitzel with potato salad. We were both delighted with the food which tasted really good. The prices were a bit high, but clearly worth it considering the good flavors, the nice layout, the nice staff and the lovely atmosphere. Well worth a visit!

The “Weichandhof” inn impresses across the board. The food is excellent, especially the regional specialties are fresh and lovingly prepared. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, characterized by traditional furnishings and a cozy ambience. The “Weichandhof” is ideal for a cozy dinner or special occasions.

We were there on a public holiday with a larger group for a family celebration, a table was reserved long in advance. When we arrived at 12:30 we were told that, despite the reservation, we couldn't order any food at first because the kitchen was overloaded. The waitresses were more annoyed than polite and many people at the surrounding tables had already complained. You could then order at 2:00 p.m. and the food arrived at 3:00 p.m. And all of this without an apology from the boss and without any feedback as to how long it would take. In such a case, you could have simply put pretzels on the table, for example. The staff became increasingly annoyed and it was also not possible to find out the name of the managing director, who was supposedly on vacation. Extremely unprofessional, something like that simply shouldn't happen, and the restaurant was able to estimate how full it would be based on the reservations.

Just sit in the guest garden “where the food is set” ...unfortunately this is only the case under dirty umbrellas. View of barrier tape, dirty grills and broken outdoor kitchen. Food grade 3-4 maximum, bland to simple. No soap in the toilet and much more The restaurant and the garden are actually a gem, but ultimately another example of the restaurateur probably complaining but just doing poorly. Even in the nicest weather it's only half full... I now understand why.

Totally unfriendly and arrogant staff. The restaurant / beer garden is not even 30% full and you are apparently completely overwhelmed and are greeted with the words “FOOD TAKES AT LEAST 2 HOURS TODAY” while shouting as you pass by. Prices are totally exorbitant for the size and quality of the food. A pity. Location is quite good and the ambience is also okay. Children's playground available. Parking situation is okay.

Wir hatten hier einen schönen Abend mit bayerischen Spezialitäten im Kreis der Familie. Das Essen war geschmacklich wirklich gut, schön angerichtet noch dazu. Aufmerksamer und freundlicher, jederzeit schneller Service. Gutes, gemütliches und angenehmes Ambiente.

We had dinner at Weichandhof with a larger group on Saturday evening. From the reservation to the food and the service, an all-round successful evening. A small playground was also a lot of fun for the youngest children. We felt completely in good hands! We'll be back when we find ourselves in this corner of Munich again.

Hello, we have been to the Weichandhof several times now, mostly for lunch. The menu is very cheap and has been very tasty so far. Last Friday we ate the redfish again. Unfortunately he died twice. The potato salad was excellent. And the remoulade sauce could have been a little more in proportion to the overcooked fish. I hope that changes again and I see this as a one-time blip. We would like to try the redfish again. And hope for your quality preparation.

Very nice restaurant with really upscale cuisine. So-called “normal” dishes are excellently prepared and presented. The menu for the Ash Wednesday fish dinner is very diverse. Very cozy inside, but the hotel is very modern and stylish. In the summer there is a beautiful beer garden, delicious Bavarian delicacies such as: duck etc.

Excellent food, cordon bleu clearly freshly prepared, roast pork half portion, completely sufficient. The tasting kitchens also had to be there!! Unobtrusive but attentive service. Price/performance ratio absolutely fine!

Typical German cuisine. Got a wonderful wienerschnitzel and a nice light weißbeer to accompany it. The service was polite and fast. The food got in in record speed and the only thing I could wish for was if they could serve their beer a little colder.

Wir waren kurz nach Weihnachten im Weichandhof - dementsprechend war es auch sehr voll, aber wir hatten Glück und haben den letzten freien Tisch bekommen. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und an unseren Tisch gebracht. Zur Vorspeise gab es eine Leberknödelsuppe, als Hauptspeise den Hirschrücken im Knuspermantel und den Zwiebelrostbraten und als Nachspeise den Kaiserschmarrn. Ich befürchte wir hatten an diesem Abend etwas Pech, denn leider können wir dieses ganze positive Feedback hier nicht teilen. Bei der Leberknödelsuppe war der Leberknödel etwas zu hart - das kennen wir viel fluffiger. Der Zwiebelrostbraten war nicht wie gewünscht medium, sondern schon fast durch. Der Hirschrücken war nicht wie gewünscht im Knuspermantel. Der Teig darum war total weich - schon fast wie ein Pfannkuchen drumherum und teilweise verbrannt - mit knusprig hatte das nichts zu tun. Es waren vier kleine Stücke Hirschrücken auf dem Teller und auch die Rosmarin-Kartoffel-Krapfen waren schon zu braun angebraten. Für das Geld (37,50 €) war die Portion viel zu klein. Beim Kaiserschmarrn war es nicht besser. Er war geschmacklich zwar sehr gut, aber leider auch teilweise sehr verbrannt (siehe Bilder). Das hab ich echt noch nicht erlebt 🤔 Keine Ahnung, ob an diesem Abend der Wurm drin war, aber am Nachbartisch ging es auch so weiter. Schade eigentlich, denn es war unser erster Besuch im Weichandhof. In Summe haben wir 105€ bezahlt. Für das Geld hätte ich persönlich etwas mehr erwartet Positiv sei erwähnt, dass unser Kellner sehr nett war 👍

Sehr gutes Essen. Heute 2.Weihnachtsfeiertag sehr voll wurden in Hotelfrüstücksraum geführt. Auf Nachfrage dass das nicht gesagt wurde, hat der Ober nachgefragt ob draußen noch was frei, konnten wir wandern, war dann schöner Ecktisch. Bedienungen trotzt des Andrangs sehr freundlich und aufmerksam

Leider sehr schlechtes Essen, wir waren zur Familien Weihnachtsfeier dort, Service miserabel und essen unterirdisch schlecht!!! Und dafür auch noch viel zu hohe Preise!! Tk Gemüse (steht aber frisches Gemüse in der Karte) die saucen ungeniesbar. Reh/Hirsch schmeckt wie verdirbenes Rind…

Das Essen im Restaurant ist sehr zum empfehlen und auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Vor allem wollen wir die Freundlichkeit des Personals hervorheben. Immer wieder gerne.

Wir waren für ein verlängertes Wochenende mit 6 Personen dort um auch die Wiesn zu besuchen. Die Anbindung ist gut auch wenn etwas weiter raus ist. Dafür preislich top. Das Restaurant und der Service waren super. Sehr zu empfehlen. Auch das Frühstück war reichhaltig. Das Apartment war sauber und geräumig. Wir waren zufrieden und würden wieder kommen. Gehobenes Lokal - ab 18 Euro bis 30 Euro Gerichte , Biergarten mit Bedienung, bei schönen und warmen Tag wir das Essen im Garten gegrillt und hergerichtet. Das Restaurant innen sehr gemütlich bayrische Einrichtung

Sehr nette Bedienung, Evelyn mit ihrem schicken Dirndl, trotz 40 Grad Hitze immer entspannt und das hat sich gleich auf uns Gäste ausgewirkt. Essen war wie immer gut und so ist ein Besuch im Weichandhof immer ein Erlebnis.

Sehr nette und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Das Essen war mehr als genug und sehr lecker. Der idyllische Biergarten lädt zum Verweilen ein. Wir können das Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen, ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.

We stayed in the Hotel on our way back from holiday. After reading some mixed reviews we decided to try the restaurant. The food and service where very good. My boys classified the Alpenburger in their top rating of best burger ever (and I can tell you they are absolute specialists) but also the other dishes we had where very tasty. The service was friendly and quick. The place looks or is old and could use some fresh up.

Herrliches Anwesen mit großen Biergarten und schönen Ausblick. Getränke, Bierauswahl und Speisen von guter Qualität. Auch die Bedienung war hervorragend. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis geht in Ordnung. Toiletten sauber und es ist alles vorhanden. Weiter so.

Grace and charm is not really the style of service at this pretty and authentic Bavarian inn. Surprisingly unfit tiny tablecloth in the garden compared to the very lovely inside. What a pity. The duck is broiled to perfection and the knödel and the red cabbage are perfect. Big mistake: Over seasoned salad soak the leaves and the tomatoes are tasteless. Special mention for the chocolate crème brûlée. Rather dull service. Lack soul. Won’t return.

Wir waren zu viert beim Mittagessen und haben zweimal das Menü und zwei Speisen von der Karte bestellt. Die Bedienung ist freundlich, das Essen wurde sehr schnell geliefert. Allersings war die Qualität des Esses sein Geld nicht Wert. Die Spargelcreme-Suppe schmeckte nach Fertigsuppe. Die Zweierlei-Knödel ertranken förmlich in einer matschig, zerkochten Sauerkrautpampe. Fazit: Wenn man in netter Umgebung etwas trinken möchte ist man dort gut aufgehoben. Essen gehen sollte man nur, wenn man mit unterdurchschnittlicher Kantinenessens-Qualität zufrieden ist.

Der Weichandhof ist eine der Top Adressen für Biergärten in Obermenzing. Im Sommer wird alles direkt am Grill zubereitet. Der zu empfehlen.

Wir hatten eine Familienfeier im Weichandhof und waren wirklich sehr zufrieden. Die Abstimmung im Vorfeld war unkompliziert und professionell, der Abend selbst wunderbar mit sehr gutem Essen, einem tollen Ambiente im wunderschönen Biergarten sowie einer überaus zuvorkommenden, sehr freundlichen und extrem serviceorientierten Bedienung. Unsere Gäste waren happy und wir waren es auch. Es war nicht unser erstes Familienfest dort und wird sicher auch das letzte ;-)... Ein großes Dankeschön an das ganze Team!
