We spent a wonderful evening at Torcello. The service was very attentive and friendly, and the food was creatively prepared with high-quality ingredients. We were particularly impressed by the daily changing dishes on the blackboard—no standard menu. The atmosphere is cozy, ideal for a relaxing evening for two. Highly recommended!

The house wine, Pinot Casa, costs €22.50 for a half liter. That's beyond outrageous. It's not on the wine list, and it's more expensive than the cheaper wines on the menu. Why? That's simply terrible! In every restaurant in the area, you can get a glass of wine for €6-7! Please consider this! All the guests that evening were dismayed!

We decided on this restaurant on a whim and didn't regret it! It was the best duck breast I've ever eaten. The service was incredibly friendly, too. We'll definitely be back!

A small but fine restaurant in a semi-basement. The food is excellent. The waitresses more than make up for their inexperience with their dedication and warmth. A bit noisy due to a group (birthday party), but otherwise very nice. Prices are almost moderate for the area.

For me, the food lacked authentic Italian flavor. This was true for both the pizza and the mellanzane. Unfortunately. We did, however, have a super friendly waitress who deserved 5 stars.

We're thrilled with this beautiful place where you can go every day; we've fallen in love. The kitchen makes fantastic Italian food. It's a wonderful explosion of flavors that brings joy. The spaghetti was broken into pieces! The pizza supermarket level and the affogato was a coupe pistachio ice cream with pistachio cream and an espresso. The latter was quite okay but then also like to describe it that way on the menu. Really friendly service but the food could not be called Italian.

The food was passable, unfortunately you are only served by incredibly pushy Indians who have no idea about their own menu, hardly speak German, emit strong body odor and are unhygienic waiters. (Fingerprints on the plate, glass is touched at the top of the drinking rim, etc.) I was there with my date, who was also quite surprised and wondered if the chef was at least Italian. Unfortunately not a recommendation.

I'm confused - strange music in the restaurant, only Indians work?!? At an Italian (?) The pizza was overpriced and absolutely inedible. The service was nice and attentive, but it doesn't change the quality of the food. No recommendation

We chose this place after reading other reviews which were pretty good but hold up a disappointment. There was a smell of sewage in the restaurant, the dry pieces of bread we were given before the meal we didn't even want to give to the chickens. The carborra my husband had for starter was just pasta with bacon in cream, which tasted nothing and had never seen the shadow of an egg. The bruschetta I got tasted of nothing but arugula salad and there was absolutely no Parmesan on it. We had chosen pizza for the main course, we were served them half cold, with unbaked rubbery bottoms, also tasteless here, but the waiter took our plates from the starter with him when he brought the main course. 😉 When we wanted to pay we were offered something else and a grappa, which we declined thank you. Of course, the waiter can't help that the food was bad, but he still failed to take payment for the one pizza. The bottle of wine we got with the very bad meal was really good though. It is the worst meal we have ever had, even a toast from Circle K is better quality.

See good pasta dishes. We all enjoyed it. We'll come back when we visit Hamburg again. Staff very friendly and helpful.

We were here a few years ago. Now I went back to Torcello. Same class. Truffle pasta, a delicate tagliatelle with a soft creamy coating of parmesan, freshly shaved truffle on top. And a green lukewarm salad as a starter, it had figs in it and other surprises. Cosy atmosphere. Friendly service. A chef who beams.

Lunch is always great and the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. The menu changes regularly, dishes are always prepared quickly and very tasty. Highly recommended for a quick lunch (I can't rate dinner as I've only ever been here during the day :-)).

This is my third visit, the restaurant combines classic Italian cuisine with modern accents. The truffle pizza in particular was a highlight, with a perfectly crispy base, the finest cheese and an intense truffle aroma. To finish, I chose the Affogato al Pistacchio, a heavenly combination of creamy ice cream, pistachio cream and aromatic espresso. The perfect end to an excellent meal. Pray Italians!!!

I am thrilled by the excellent food, warm service and real Italian flair. The pistachio pasta with salmon was particularly a highlight – creamy, aromatic and perfectly balanced. The fresh ingredients and homemade pasta make the difference! The pizza also impresses with its crispy base and high-quality ingredients. I had lunch at Torcello in Hamburg and absolutely loved it. As soon as you enter the restaurant you notice the pleasant atmosphere - stylish but still relaxed. The service was excellent: friendly, attentive and quick without being intrusive. I was particularly impressed by the speed: the food came quickly, but without compromising on quality. Perfect if you only have limited time but still want to enjoy something special. Overall, a wonderful place to take a break from everyday life. I'm definitely coming! Absolutely recommended.

The "Ristorante Torcello" is an absolute highlight for lovers of fine Italian cuisine. Everything is perfect here: from the cozy atmosphere to the first-class service to the outstanding dishes. A visit is definitely worth it and I will definitely come back.

We were there for lunch. About ten different dishes, between €12 and €15, were presented on a blackboard. Several vegetarian, fish and meat dishes each. The service was quick, unobtrusive and friendly. The food was excellent.

I was there with a friend and we were both very excited. There was no menu, instead we were given suggestions and asked what we would like. The food was really great and so was the wine. The atmosphere was so cozy and appealing that we spent the whole evening there. We recommend!

We were completely satisfied with the Torcello. From the service to the ambience to the dishes, we enjoyed our visit. Even the pasta itself is prepared in-house in the restaurant. The dessert was also great! Small note: It would be great if dishes without meat were immediately recognizable on the menu.

Came to celebrate a birthday - so we had a bigger party. The service was incredible and very patient. Very helpful and went over the menu with us. There were plenty of pasta options with plenty variations of meat and veggies. The wine selection was also good, but beer and soft drinks were also available. The atmosphere was very pleasant. The restaurant was clean and tables were well set. Seating was comfortable and tables were well spaced apart. The food had both highlights and lowlights. Our food was well prepared. I was disappointed with the oyster pasta because of the shells were empty and the few that weren't, were very small. It was mostly pasta with shells. Maybe for the price i expected more - I dont know, it could be me. The appetizers were delicious as was the bread provided. It's a good restaurant with a great staff and service. The price is on the higher end, especially for pasta. (the fish pictured was split between 2 people - the restaurant does give you the full half and i dont want to mislead anyone)

Everything was better before…. At least here. Since the old owners sold in November 2019, only the name has remained. Nothing is truly Italian here anymore. There were five of us and all the dishes were bad. Pasta was very al dente and cold, the fish smelled of fish, the chicken had a completely over-salted sauce. The presentation was extremely bland and everything was at completely inflated prices. There was also a very unpleasant smell from the toilet that permeated the entire restaurant. This was the last time we were at Torcello!

We had ordered food. Unfortunately, pizza and pasta are only mediocre at best and at 15 euros each, they are simply too expensive for the quality offered. Overall, the price/performance ratio was unfortunately not right.

Great little place and had a fun time with very friendly staff. 😀👍🏼 Food? I preordered a vegetarian meal, all I got was ravioli in a white sauce. The sauce was tasty, the ravioli just boring. Stole the veg from people who had a fish dish 🤷🏼‍♂️ My first vegetarian meal, without vegetables 🤷🏼‍♂️ I hope the restaurant reads this and offers vegetables in future 👍🏼

Back when the restaurant was still run by the original landlord and his family, it was still a real recommendation! Delicious food, family atmosphere, everything was great. But now I've been there again for a long time and I was disappointed. Food is average at best, unfortunately. Maybe I was unlucky that the chef and service had a bad day. But I'm not going to try to find out if it was. Luckily there are alternatives too

Wirklich eine Frechheit was hier als Pizza bzw als "Italiener" verkauft wird. Ich habe hier eine TK Pizza mit ein bisschen gestreutem Käse serviert bekommen. Wie kann man davon ausgehen, dass der Kunde das nicht bemerkt?

Früher bin ich gerne ins Torcello gegangen, welches von Italienern geführt wurde.Bei Google wird angezeigt „seit 1987“. Es mag sein, das an dem Ort seit dem ein Restaurant ist, in der Zwischenzeit scheinen die Inhaber gewechselt zu haben. Die zwei netten älteren Italiener findet man dort nicht mehr. Die neuen Inhaber scheinen keine Italiener zu sein, soweit so gut. Die Bedienung ist äußerst freundlich, man wird nett empfangen. Soweit so gut. Seit dem Wechsel war ich zweimal dort. Zum Essen: die Vorspeisenportionen sind wirklich klein. Ich bin kein großer Esser. Das Verhältnis von Gemüse zu Käse oder sonstigen passt einfach nicht. Preis/Leistung-> Daumen deutlich nach unten. Die Salate sind nicht frisch und knackig wie man sich einen frischen italienischen Salat wünscht. Die Pasta, nach Angabe des Kellners hausgemacht, schmeckt fade, einfach nach nichts. Selbst die Pasta Agiolio und Arabiata war sehr geschmacklos. Sehr schade. Wie nennt man das im Schulzeugnis, sie waren sehr bemüht. Reicht leider nicht. Dies war daher mein letzter Besuch.

Wir waren früher gern im Torcello, dieses Mal war es jedoch das letzte Mal. Offensichtlich hat dort der Besitzer gewechselt. Essen war für den überteuerten Preis leider eine reine Katastrophe. Wir hatten verschiedene Antipasti zur Vorspeise wovon die Hälfte verbrannt, über oder unterwürzt war. Der Hauptgang 19,50 für Nudeln mit italienischer Wurst, war nicht aldente sondern roh und einfach langweilig. Fisch ungewürzt und mit Salat mit balsamico für 26,50 ohne jede weitere Beilagen. Die Kellner waren sehr nett auch nach unserer Beschwerde wurde das Nudelgericht nochmal neu gemacht. Leider hat es aber auch dieses Mal nicht unseren Geschmack getroffen. Als Entschuldigung gab es ein Tiramisu aufs Haus. Fazit leider, Kellner top, essen flop

Das Essen ist so lala, eher nicht so gut. Der Service ist in Ordnung. Die Atmosphäre ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Hervorragende Küche und sehr freundlicher Service in schönem, meist ruhigem Ambiente. Der Mittagstisch ist günstig. Abends können die Preise je nach Gericht auch höher ausfallen. Die Portionen sind nicht sehr groß, aber das gleicht die Hohe Qualität der Gerichte aus. Nachspeisen und Kaffee sind sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir waren schlichtweg begeistert. Die Karte ist klein und fein und variiert scheinbar kontinuierlich, trotzdem war für jeden etwas dabei. Das Essen war hervorragend und seinen Preis definitiv wert. Der Service war hervorragend und sehr aufmerksam. Wir werden definitiv nochmal wiederkommen...

Die Bedienung war überaus freundlich bzw. höflich, daß Ambiente in Ordnung. Das vorab, daher vergebe ich gerne 3 Sterne für dieses Restaurant. Daß es meiner Ansicht nach keine Italiener sind, die dort arbeiten, ok, das ist dann halt so. Jedoch verliert das Ganze dann für mich irgendwie seinen Scharm und vor allem seine Authentizität. Ich verknüpfe „italienisches Restaurant“ irgendwie zwangsläufig mit Land und „seinen“ Leuten. Am Ende des Tages geht es aber vor allem um das Essen (ich hatte eine Pizza). Nun, diese war leider nicht gut. Fest steht wohl, dass eine Pizza ein flacher Hefefladen ist, der mit unterschiedlichen Zutaten dünn belegt und dann im Holzofen gebacken wird. Einen (traditionell italienischen) Holzofen habe ich nicht entdeckt, vielleicht aber auch nur nicht gesehen. Meine Pizza war dann leider ein dicker nicht knuspriger Hefefladen, der mir noch Stunden später schwer im Magen lag. Mit Pizza, wie ich sie in Italien so oft gegessen habe, hatte das nichts zu tun. Ein Bier 0,5 kostet dann auch noch € 6,50, was trotz Inflation usw. doch ziemlich deftig ist. Nun ja, ich werde wohl nicht wiederkommen.

Das Restaurant kann ich nur weiter empfehlen, es ist immer wieder ein toller Abend wenn wir hier essen gehen. Das Personal ist freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend, fachlich top sehr gute Beratung!
