Ristorante Tesoro in Hannover

A true Italian restaurant highlight in Hanover. We were in Hanover on November 15th for the 60th anniversary alumni meeting of Hannover Medical School (MHH), having traveled about 120 kilometers from elsewhere. We spontaneously looked for an Italian restaurant in the dreary November gray after the event and found it...by chance, because I myself lived on Marienstraße a long time ago and thanks to the many positive reviews here...We entered the restaurant and asked for a free table without having made a reservation. Not a given on a Saturday evening during a trade fair in Hanover. Kara's welcome was extremely courteous and warm. He asked if we were pressed for time, which we denied. Less than three minutes later, we were already seated at a very comfortable table in a wonderful atmosphere. This wasn't a given, because the Agritechnica trade fair was also taking place in Hanover that day, and the entire restaurant was already very busy in the early evening. So, you couldn't ask for better service, even just in advance – fantastic! The service from Kara and all the staff was outstanding throughout the evening. After quickly ordering two Negroni along with a bottle of water, the delicious amuse-bouches from the kitchen arrived promptly. The menu was filled with a wide variety of delicious Italian dishes. Kara then topped it all off with the daily specials, which we decided to try thanks to his excellent advice. We enjoyed pumpkin soup with shrimp and scallops, very tasty and served piping hot in pre-warmed bowls, just as you would expect in a fine restaurant. We also had vitello tonnato with top-quality sliced ​​veal, and twice we ordered tagliatelle with truffles and strips of beef tenderloin as a main course. Unfortunately, we didn't have room for dessert, but we did order an espresso macchiato and grappa. To finish, the very friendly and attentive Mr. Kara brought and served us two incredibly delicious homemade limoncello. We want to say thank you for this wonderful evening, which we were able to spend with you so spontaneously, leaving us with such a positive impression that we will gladly return as your guests. It will be spring, and we'll be coming by motorcycle, as we're coming from further away, but we will definitely be back, and we give Marina & Jens a 110% recommendation.

This was our first time at Ristorante Tesoro and we can 100% recommend it. The menu is very extensive, and they also offer various daily specials. This made it really difficult to decide. The food was of very good quality. The service was outstanding. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We felt well advised and well looked after. Even friendly small talk was completely relaxed, despite the restaurant being busy. The ambiance was fantastic. We had gorgeous weather and sat inside, but with the windows wide open. A great table and a pleasant atmosphere. I would definitely recommend making a table reservation. We'll be back!

If you want to experience a little piece of Italy and enjoy delicious food, this is the place for you. The appetizers are delicious, the burrata alone. The pasta in a Parmesan loaf with truffle was a real treat. Excellent service, a fantastic pasta show. We fell in love with the homemade tiramisu. We will definitely come back. It certainly won't be our last visit.

A lot of superficiality, but rather mediocre substance. A long way from top Italian cuisine, but not quite the same price level. Edible, okay, but not outstanding. The saltimbocca: too salty and tough. The truffle pasta in a Parmesan wheel (Grana Padano, to be precise) was quite flavorless. Overall, a nice atmosphere, friendly staff, but a lot of pretense and just trying hard.

Yesterday, I had lunch at Tesoro Hannover. I really enjoyed both the food and the service. I was served by an older gentleman who knew how to do his job properly. He was always polite and friendly, and he even gave me a little something on the house. I also really enjoyed the pasta with peppercorns. I'd gladly go back.

We ate at Tesoro today with Reibach. The food was, as usual, of very good quality and very tasty. The service was always friendly and courteous. When it came to paying, something was a bit strange. Two weeks ago, when we were there, there was a bill with the dishes we had eaten. This time, a pad was taken, and the dishes we had eaten were listed and added up. When adding up the total, he added €10.00 to the total. The price seemed odd to me, but I just thought, if they really need it, then they should do it. Be careful if there is no proper bill. If someone says things like, "We'll do it this way, it's to your advantage," he said that to us. When he deducted the Reibach voucher of €12.50, he rounded it up to €13.00. If you participate in a voucher promotion, you should also stand by it when customers benefit from it.

Very accommodating, customer requests are taken seriously, and the kitchen was even prepared to prepare individual dishes. We (two people) felt very well looked after. The ambiance is elegant with soft music and not too big. There are nice seating areas both inside and outside. Highly recommended; we will definitely be back.

An absolute recommendation! We visited this Italian restaurant for the first time today and were completely thrilled. The food was excellent and met our tastes and expectations exactly. What's particularly nice is that the modern website doesn't overpromise – which, unfortunately, isn't a given these days. The service was extremely friendly, but never intrusive. We had one of the best seats in the restaurant and were able to enjoy the great ambiance. The volume was pleasant, accompanied by chilled background music – just right for a relaxing atmosphere. A real highlight was the raspberry sorbet between courses – a small touch, more of a "nice to have," not a standard. At no point did we feel like we were "just" new guests; we were treated as if we'd been coming here for years. We felt very comfortable from start to finish and would definitely come back!
