My favorite Italian in Hanover :) always changing daily specials and super delicious pizza.

We ate Parma and Rosticale pizzas, both excellent! Tasty, thin and big for a fair price 😍 The olives they bring as an appetizer were also excellent 10 out of 10 Recommend 👌🏻

Food was amazing and service very friendly. Made a reservation for the next visit.

Very small, cute restaurant but outdated. The service was just okay. The ambience is not that nice. Not even the entrance door is being repaired and it could be made of glass to accommodate you at any time. An unacceptable security risk. The food was so good, I would have expected much more for the prices.

The food is delicious, the environment is nice, and there is no need to wait for a table. Chinese style mutton is a bit raw😂

Delicious. A table reservation is recommended as this restaurant is popular. The staff is very nice and helpful. Unfortunately no card payment possible, so I have to deduct a star.

Unfortunately, the reserved table wasn't available, there wasn't enough pizza dough, the drinks came after the food, there were 30 minutes between serving the first and last dish, the staff was virtually unresponsive and the boss ultimately tried to blame everything on others. Later we were given a dessert as an apology, which we refused in advance. Nevertheless, this is now being put on the table, whether we like it or not. Overall, unfortunately a disappointing visit.

The food is very tasty, but you have to take a lot of time because everything takes a long time :/ Unfortunately, I don't understand the price differences between pizza (very cheap) and the changing daily specials (relatively expensive). You sit inside on uncomfortable, cramped wooden high chairs/benches because you apparently tried to get as many seats as possible in the small dining room - a shame! We expected better.

The atmosphere was beautiful and the staff was extremely friendly. We felt extremely comfortable and enjoyed the food to the fullest.

Unfortunately, I can't agree with the positive reviews at all. The service was unfriendly and seemed overwhelmed despite the manageable size of the restaurant. A second wine order was forgotten. The pizza was more of a tarte flambée. If you want an authentic pizza, you should go across the street to Francesca. The squid pasta was tasty but the pulpo in it was tough. There are plus points for the cozy atmosphere and the cold bottled wine. Overall it was a negative experience.

It's been our absolute favorite restaurant for a long time. Very small, sweet shop, the staff is always warm and helpful, you just feel welcome. And the food is amazing. One of the very best kitchens in Hanover (and beyond). The changing dishes mean the menu never gets boring. You just feel good here, when I go to La Favola stressed & sad, I go home happy & full and when there's something to celebrate, La Favola is also the highlight.

Warning: This place is likely a host to discrimination! EDIT: response to owner comment below original post! Original post: Recently, my partner and I visited La Favola to order two take-away coffees. We were told by a gentleman that they do indeed sell takeaway coffee, only for him to turn around after 10 seconds demanding me and my partner to leave the premises; upon investigating for the reasons to push us (literally; the gentleman we spoke to got REALLY close, in what appeared to be a threatening manner) out of the restaurant, the gentleman stated "because I don't want to sell you coffee" - I have no idea what we supposedly did wrong - no reason was stated. Further, we were threatened with the police if we weren't to leave (all we did is order a coffee). Upon asking the owner to please go ahead with calling the police, he noticeably got more angry and even some guests chimed in, telling us that he would be entitled to remove us from the premise. No reason for this rude behaviour was stated. And no - in order to make use of the 'Hausrecht', guests need to show some kimd of inappropriate behaviour. But all we did, was order a coffee and 'dare' to ask, why we were treated so badly; this appears like straight up discrimination. Could they not at least explain the problem? My partner, who didn't even say a word, was also asked to leave. Later, when talking to a friend who lives in Hannover, I was informed that the area would be very violent and that this kind of treatment isn't unusual. Wow ... we only visited Hanover for a day and already had such a terrible experience. We reported La Favola to the Hanover Anti-Diskriminierungsstelle and the local police. Considering the incredibly rude staff and even guest behaviour, I urge anyone to avoid this place for your own safety. RESPONSE TO OWNER: All of my points above reflect exactly what happened. I also discussed the whole situation again with my partner and she confirmed that this was her impression also. Mind you, that she was also asked to leave, despite not saying anything at all in the restaurant; how could she have been rude? Also, I asked several times for the reason for having to leave; NOT ONCE were we given any reasons, all while the gentlemen behind the bar came threatingly close. It's beyond me, how I am being called out as aggressive when I tried multiple times to resolve the situation, while only facing more and more discrimination from the restaurants staff. It is clear that the venue is in dire denial about their misbehaviour and attempt to shift blame; the multiple "!" in the owners's response is a good reflection of their hotheaded attitude. Quote: "If someone causes problems they have to get out!!!!!" On this note, I only hope that the restaurant itself sticks to this statement and removes itself - Hanover really already has enough discrimination; NO ONE needs a place that discriminates people like this! AVOID!

Lafavola enchanted my taste buds with a truly magical dining experience! The exquisite flavors, careful preparation and heavenly presentation of the dishes definitely deserve five stars. Every bite was a journey through the senses, and the diverse selection of dishes reflected the mastery of the cuisine. The friendly staff and the pleasant atmosphere complete the overall experience. Lafavola is definitely worth a visit!

Wir hatten einen Tisch für 3 Personen reserviert und sollten uns bei Ankunft an einen Tisch quetschen der bereits besetzt war. Mit Blick in die Gesichter der Leute am Tisch, war uns klar, dass diese das ebenfalls nicht gut fanden und so mussten wir mit leeren Magen gehen. Man muss dazu sagen, dass wir unverschuldet in einen Stau gerieten und schließlich 1h später kamen aber ich 2 angerufen einmal vor dem Termin und nach dem Stau und der Herr meinte dabei es gäbe kein Problem mit dem Tisch. Also diese Art und Weise geht gar nicht und wir können das Favola darum nicht weiter empfehlen.

Eine gemütliche ganz kleine Pizzeria mit freundlichem schnellen Service. Wer einen der ich glaube nur 4 Tische möchte, muss reservieren oder zur richtigen Zeit da sein. Uns hat es sehr gut geschmeckt dort. Preis-Leistung ist sehr gut. Die wechselnde Angebotskarte sollte man unbedingt berücksichtigen bei der Auswahl. Danke für einen schönen Abend mit meinen Freundinnen.

Kleines Restaurant mit knapper aber guter Karte. Leckeres Essen.

Für mich ganz klar mein Lieblings Italiener in Hannover. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr schnuckelig, als würde man privat bekocht werden. Ich finde es sehr schön, dass es eher klein dort ist, weil sich so auch Gespräche über den eigenen Tisch hinweg ergeben. War jetzt schon öfters dort u.a. gefällt es mir sehr, weil die Gerichte nicht nur super lecker sind sondern auch saisonal immer wechseln. Aber es gibt auch eine Karte mit Klassikern die nicht variiert. Klare Empfehlung: Das Tiramisu am Ende eines leckeren Abends *_* Danke euch und ich komme immer wieder! Super Service!

War insgesamt sehr schön. Die eine oder andere Ecke wirkte ein wenig unaufgeräumt ( hinter dem Tresen ) - aber Essen und Getränke sehr gut. Komme bestimmt wieder

Also wirklich: die selbstgemachte Gerichte sind sehr lecker und das Lokal ist äußerst familiär, ob in der Mittagspause oder abends - einfach klein, knuffig, gemütlich und vertraut! Lieben Dank an meinen Kollegen, der mir damals den Tipp für dieses Bistro gab und an das Team von La Favola!

War heute mit meiner Freundin in der Mittagszeit im Lokal essen. Speisekarte sehr übersichtlich... keine Fleischgerichte. Meine Wahl war Pizza - die schlechteste in meinem Leben! Ein erneuter Besuch kommt nicht im Frage.

Sehr leckeres Essen, guter Service. Ich empfehle die Menus von der Tageskarte.

Es war wieder sehr lecker. Zur Mittagszeit muss man früh da sein, so ab 12 Uhr oder etwas später kommen. Ich komme immer wieder gerne hier her in das kleine Restaurant.

Klein, aber fein ..... fantastisches Essen, uriger Außenbereich für laue Abende ... sehr netter Service ... man schmeckt und fühlt Italien ...

Was für ein cosy Restaurant! Klein, aber so eine tolle Atmosphäre! Die zwei Stunden waren wie ein kleiner Urlaub... Und dann dieses leckere Essen! Sehr freundliches Personal, leckerer Wein, angenehme Musik. Und die Tische werden zwischen den Gästen auch sauber gewischt, das ist ja leider keine Selbstverständlichkeit in anderen Restaurants. Hier gibt es nichts, aber auch gar nichts zu meckern! Würden wir hier wohnen, das La Favola wäre unser Lieblingsrestaurant!

Bestes Italienisches Restaurant, der Service ist unschlagbar, ich kriege hier jeden Sonderwunsch erfüllt. Das Essen ist ansbolute spitze, da kann jeder andere einpacken. Und die bequeme Atmosphäre rundet das alles perfekt ab. Verdiente 5 von 5 Sternen.

La Favola is one of the most authentic, delightful Italian restaurants. They serve various Italian dishes, pizza, pasta, veal, beef, seafood, salads and more. They have a standard menu as well as several dishes that change on a daily or weekly basis. Their antipasti plate is one of our favorite dishes overall and strongly recommended. The only downside to the restaurant: They only accept cash payments, no cards.

- immer wechselnde Tagesgerichte. Hauptgerichte sehr gut. Pizzabrot eher unterdurchschnittlich - Aperol Spritz hatte etwas viel Wasser - Inhaber ausgesprochen freundlich - Kleines Lokal. Sehr gemütlich und authentisch. - Preise im Rahmen. Abzug aufgrund des Pizzabrotes und da nur Barzahlung akzeptiert wird. Ist kein Problem aber nicht mehr ganz zeitgemäß.

Sehr geschmackvolle Speisen. Leider sind die mündlich empfohlenen Angebot nicht mit Preisen versehen, aber sehr schmackhaft.

Awesome place - lovely hosts, cozy atmosphere, best Italian food. We had a celebratory dinner with friends with four course meal at fair prices, catered to our wishes. Couldn’t have asked for more - the evening was perfect!

Kleines, aber gemütliches Restaurant mit guten Preisen, unglaublich leckerem italienischem Essen, sowohl Fleisch- als auch vegetarischen Gerichten. Komme immer gerne vorbei!

Der netteste Laden in der Stadt mit leckerem Essen und toller Atmosphäre ♥️

Durchschnittliche Pizza. Nach 1,5h sitzen musste man den Laden verlassen, da nächste Reservierung vor der Tür stand.

Ein Geheimtipp der hoffentlich nicht mehr lange einer bleibt. Mein absoluter Favorit in Hannover. Kleines und feines, authentisches italienisches Restaurant. Essen wie bei Maaaammma in Italien. Sooo lecker und im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes preisWERT.

Ich will den Betreibern nun wirklich nichts unterstellen, aber wie hoch ist die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass man an drei unterschiedlichen Tagen so ein "Pech" hat. Nachdem ich schon oft gehört habe dass der Mittagstisch hier so gut sein soll habe ich es probiert, und wieder, und wieder. Leider war mein Essen jedes nicht wirklich gut abgeschmeckt, und auch mit den Gartemperaturen hat man es da anscheinend nicht so. Meine Nudeln waren leider immer verkocht und einmal zu stark gewürzt und das andere mal fad mit einer undefinierbar strengen Unternote. Bei meinem letzten Besuch war die Pizza geschmacklich undefinierbar, ich habe zwar optisch erkannt was da drauf war, aber kaum etwas davon geschmeckt. Das alles kann man - auch wenn die Preise nun wirklich nicht "günstig" sind - vielleicht noch verschmerzen, aber wenn die Servicekräfte mehr an ihrem Smartphone hängen als sich dem zu widmen, wofür sie bezahlt werden, ergibt das leider kein vorteilhaftes Gesamtbild. Schade.

Ein sehr kleiner, feiner Italiener, der viel Liebe und Persönlichkeit ausstrahlt. Die Bedienung war wunderbar und der Weg hier her für das Essen lohnt sich - nicht der Standarditaliener. Eine Empfehlung hätte ich. Aufgrund der sehr kleinen Ladenfläche und den schmalen Tischen würde ich ein paar Teelichter weniger einsetzen. Zeitweilig hatte ich Sorge, dass meine Kleidung in einem Teelicht landet.

Sehr gutes Angebot und eine super Pizza die ich gegessen habe! Auch die anderen Gerichte, die zu die zu den anderen Gästen getragen wurden, sahen sehr gut aus. Ein schönes Ambiente gemütlich und entspannt. Dafür das es komplett belegt war, ist es für so ein kleines Restaurant sehr ruhig gewesen, dass hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Da komme ich gerne wieder. 😀 Ein kleiner Kritik Punkt ist, dass man leider nur Bar zahlen kann.

Hier wird man immer wieder über positiv überrascht! Die Tageskarte ist mega abwechslungsreich gestaltet, immer für jeden etwas dabei! Mega lecker, faire Preise, gemütliche Atmosphäre! Mein all-time-Favorit in Hannover!
