disappointing welcome, terrible service and cold dishes complete with arrogant staff towards customers, sky-high prices... more than 100 euros thrown in the garbage with very poor quality food with a meat dish with a terrible smell and taste!!!!

Disappointing experience from every point of view. As soon as we entered, the atmosphere was cold and unwelcoming, with the staff seeming more interested in chatting among themselves than in serving customers. The food was very mediocre: the pasta was overcooked and the sauce tasteless, while the meat was tough and overcooked. Not to mention the service, which is very slow and confusing. The waiter seemed lost and forgot to bring us a dish. The prices are exorbitant for such low quality. Unfortunately, I will never go back there again

Welcoming restaurant, with staff who give the right attention to the customer. We felt right at home. From the starter to the dessert everything was really excellent. Highly recommended!!!

What a great place. We came here after a long day of work and were hosted by the wonderful team who pampered us. The food was brilliant, highly recommended.

Very good cuisine, great ambience with attention to detail and a feel-good atmosphere... the waiters are very courteous, funny and charming and you can feel that it is a matter of the heart for everyone to satisfy the guests! Risotto keeps what overpriced city center restaurants only promise!

Evviva Sant' Agata e Santa Rosalia ;o) When we were looking for a new Italian restaurant in Munich, Google brought this restaurant to our attention. Small but nice, in a cozy atmosphere. The music is a little too loud, so only three stars here. Delicious food, especially the octopus on artichoke cream and the swordfish involtini, seasonal and almost like at home in Bella Sicilia. Our companion also enjoyed the risotto. Plus a good Sicilian white wine. What more could you want? The service was great: everyone was super friendly and accommodating. Bravi ragazzi. Would love to come back.

I had a pleasant experience at this Italian restaurant in Munich. The staff were super friendly and attentive, making the atmosphere welcoming and relaxed. The Risotto restaurant serves, in my opinion as Italian myself, the best italian cuisine in Munich. From firsts to desserts the whole menu and chef’s recommendations are great - including the cocktails as well. Big plus for the amazing service, friendliness and attention of the staff. The atmosphere of the restaurant and music selection is also spot on - a place not to miss!

The dishes were either oversalted or tasteless. The portions were too small and it was definitely too expensive. The service was very nice but unfortunately the food is not recommended.

We were able to hold our Christmas party with a group of 15 people at Ristorante Risotto and were thoroughly impressed. The communication in advance was extremely pleasant and uncomplicated. All of our wishes were not only implemented, but were also attractively enriched with refreshing ideas and suggestions from the house. Despite the size of the group, we were able to choose from six different main courses. Here too we received perfect advice and the chef's recommendations were very well received. All dishes were a delight for the mind and palate. On site we experienced a service that is second to none: “Guest is king” is the premise here and is embodied by each individual - unobtrusive, but with the highest level of attention to the guest's needs. For the Ristorante Risotto, this is a matter of course that is rarely found these days. Thank you very much for this wonderful service-oriented culinary experience!

This was one of our best dinner experiences in Europe. They staff went above & beyond to accommodate us and our baby. They were exceptionally kind and friendly without being overbearing. Every person on the team acknowledged us, helped us, and took responsibility for making our experience wonderful. The food was delicious, the atmosphere romantic and beautiful, and the service impeccable. I would recommend this to anyone in Munich and I can't wait to go back again.

The service was very good, the waiter was very friendly and polite. The food was extremely good too. The risotto with pumpkin sauce was so creamy and the braised calf was the best. The meat was tender and the sauce was so flavourful. The bread accompanying the beef tartare was so crunchy and delicious. Overall, the service and food were excellent. Restaurant location also quite near to Nymphernburg Palace so really convenient.

We went for lunch and ordered the Specials.. the Risotto and the Black Truffle Fettuccine and we are vegetarian so we were happy to see 2 vegetarian items on specials of the day as well. The food was very good taste & presentation wise, may be it could be served hotter or may be thats how we like it, served piping hot.. the servers were fine. We went for lunch so it was not buzzing on a week day.. we went the owner who was from Sicily and shared stories and was warm and nice… Definitely worth a visit if you are around that area but I would say at night when the place is more buzzing..

Dinner with friends, excellent wine, goat's cheese, saffron and sausage risotto or with pumpkin, truffle tagliolini and, last but not least, superlative Sicilian cannoli. The quality and service have more than repaid the perhaps, but I say perhaps, slightly high cost. How to feel in Italy. Thanks to the whole team.

We were greeted with a welcome dish, delicious, as were the dishes ordered. We had two appetizers and a first course each, and a dessert to share; water and wine. Particularly recommended are the Octopus as a starter and their winter version of panna cotta as a dessert; it was truly excellent and the flavors together really suggested a moment of winter relaxation. The dishes were all very carefully prepared, they were presented when brought with the details explained, and the portions are generous. Overall, beyond the quality of the food and the service, we were struck by the price. For a high-level Italian restaurant, given the commitment to preparing the dishes and the attention and friendliness of the staff, the prices are really low, particularly for a foreign city like Monaco. We thank the restaurant staff for the wonderful evening they allowed us to spend!

La sala del ristorante e il suo arredo sono semplici ma insieme raffinati ed eleganti. Le luci soffuse e la musica in lieve sottofondo conferiscono. Un'atmosfera insieme familiare e romantica. Un menù che spazia tra varie ricette regionali italiane. Delicate e gustose le varie opzioni di risotto che io e i miei familiari abbiamo ordinato. Tenero e saporito il brasato. Notevole il vitello tonnato con salsa fatta con.la ricetta tradizionale. Deliziosa e delicata la variazione creativa del cannolo siciliano. Buona la selezione della carta dei vini. Per finire, un complimento all'attento, cortesissimo e celere servizio. Torneremo sicuramente. Consigliatissimo 5/5.

All food and service very very good except A skinny man with a beard, wearing a star-shaped ring and a bracelet on his right hand. He has a shaved head, lacks manners, doesn’t take orders, yanks the payment scanner from customer’s hands, looks displeased, and speaks rudely. Other waiters alway come up to us and check everything ok and have a good joke with us.

I live around the corner and Risotto is my absolute favorite restaurant. Wonderful food, warm, cozy atmosphere. Service very special, very personal and attentive. I always feel welcome, we have celebrated birthdays, confirmations and high school graduations here. The risotto simply knows how to do it. Thanks! Again and again!

Absolutely disappointing...there were two pasta dishes on the menu, so you would expect them to be perfectly prepared. I had Paccheri ai gamberi e Zucchine (pasta with king prawns, garlic, tomato sugo and zucchini. It is an absolutely simple dish, and even this was bad: the pasta was hard (al dente is something else), the king prawns were any kind Pieces of cut shrimp (poor quality), there was hardly any sauce and the garlic was not to be tasted. The only thing that tasted good were the zucchini pieces. Needless to say, this “cooking performance” is not worth about €19. Risotto al Gorgonzola, Pere e Noci was quite ok, but nothing that you would remember as a starter was ok, although in a restaurant that wants to present itself as good, that should be a given Don't go wrong with the dish. Oh yes, you won't be full either (although that's the least of the problems). The people were nice and tried hard, but that doesn't make the food good. In summary: more appearance than reality not.

There were two of us and we had Risotto Gorgonzola, pasta with king prawns and Vitello Tonnato as a starter. The starter was really very good. We both enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the main course was a bit disappointing. If the starter hadn't been so good, I would only give it 1 star. My risotto was well prepared, but unfortunately it didn't really appeal to me in terms of taste. I thought it tasted too much like cheese, not like pear or spices. I just missed the finesse there. It was similar with the pasta dish. They were well prepared, but the shrimp was cut, the sauce wasn't that tasty and the Italian love was just missing. To be honest, I do it better at home. The service was relatively good. They were friendly and attentive, I was just missing a little smile every now and then, so the last star was missed. I found the atmosphere very nice. It was quite a small shop, but very harmonious, everything was clean and appropriately selected. Full stars. Conclusion: since I thought Munich was called "the northernmost city in Italy", I at least eat Italian food once. It's a shame that the main courses weren't that good, or that we just didn't like them, but you could definitely do better. I wouldn't go there again.

We ate inside. The restaurant has a very narrow space so it is very noisy, people's conversations are very loud and we had to shout to be understood. Service was just on time and punctual. The octopus as a starter was outstanding! The pumpkin risotto with shrimp carpaccio was OK, the pasta with aubergine and ricotta cheese was very delicious. Sorry, but I don't recommend their tiramisu. The cream was very dominant, and to be honest, it didn't seem so fresh to us.

I was there for a business lunch. The menu is clear and very interesting. The kitchen and the owners come from Sicily and this is also how the dishes on the menu are advertised. However, here we are again dealing with Italian cuisine, which he interprets in the direction of Novelle Cousin. It has very little to do with Sicilian cuisine. The execution of the dishes is good, the quantity is very manageable and the taste is rather average. Too many spices and creamy sauces are used, which are not very common in Italian cuisine. Therefore I am disappointed with the kitchen. The owners and service were extremely nice. In my opinion the bill was too high, which is probably due to the fact that risotto won a TV competition with Alessandro Borgese. The overall lack of value for money means that I only give it three stars.

PRO'S: We came to Ristorante Risotto for risotto but got much more. We had bruschetta and the house mista salad for starters. We let the chef recommend a meat & pasta dish, truffle risotto and a Langhe Nebbiolo wine to accompany the meal. All fantastic. Best pasta I've ever eaten in my entire life!

Magnifico! Who would have thought our best Italian dinner would have been in Germany. My wife found this gem in her planning and due to my affection for Risotto booked a reservation. When you enter you are greeted by the warmest host of Italians and made to feel like family. They strive to give you an authentic Italian dinner and the have bested their own efforts. We were welcomed into an Italian families home for dinner and it was fabulous. We sampled olive oils, breads, appetizers, wine, and some fantastic risotto. Would recommend to friends, family, and anyone who will listen. Wonderful job!!!

Great service and delicious food. The waiters were kind to us, as we did not speak German. They made jokes and were very helpful in guiding our food selections along with the perfect wine. We were very happy with what turned out to be the best meal we had in Munich over the 3 day weekend we were in town.

I chose this place based on the ranking but it wasn't as expected. I rank the food as average but not mouthwatering.

I'd found Risotto on TripAdvisor in preparation for the trip. It is a GOLD Traveler's Choice Award winner. We took a tram from the Central Train Station to a suburb not far away and walked about six minutes to the restaurant. We had been seen walking up the walk and a staff person opened the door for us and greeted us warmly. As the weather was not cooperating, we chose a table in the intimate and very romantic dining room. I'll try to attach a photo of it. Our server was patient as we were not familiar with much of the menu. When asked for help, he made a suggestion or two. We started with an avacado appetizer that was surprisingly good. Then, my companion ordered the signature risotto and I caved to my craving for beef. It was accompanied by a nice serving of what might be the best vegetable "side" I've ever had. But, the star of the meal was the bottle of 2019 Cantine San Marzano 60 Sessantanni Old Vines Primitivo di Manduria. I've had primitivo many times but not like this. This was special. So special that I've spent much of the last two days (since returning home) trying to get a case of it shipped to me! (It is available but I've been looking for a "deal") Our server, Biagio, was excellent. Never too much of a presence but always there when our wine needed replenishing. If I could go for dinner here each week, I would! It's that good.

Nice Italian restaurant in a quiet location between Hirschgarten and Nymphenburg Palace Park. Ideal starting point for a cultural activity in the castle. You can sit comfortably on the terrace, which is located directly on the (not busy) street, and watch the relaxed goings-on in the residential area. The menu (and the prices) indicate a level above the "typical" pizza Italian and the risotto delivers that. The eponymous dishes are really tasty and the pasta dishes can also keep up with the quality. The varied weekly menu also offers a choice between various fish and meat dishes. Unfortunately, only the dessert lost a star - the timamisu was too soaked and the cannolo, on the other hand, was very crispy. The service is reserved, friendly and attentive (coffee powder was lit to prevent overly curious wasps). The whole thing has an Italian flair, so you can easily imagine yourself further south. Clear recommendation for anyone who appreciates good Italian food.

Arrived, told I had reserved. First left to stand for four minutes. Then I was told that they didn't have a reservation for me. But I could wait. They were nice enough to give me a pizza sandwich while I was waiting for 25 minutes. Ordered pulpo, after 15 minutes I was told that it was out and I was offered calamari instead. The starter was good, but 3 calamari for 19.50 EUR was way too expensive. I had to wait another 40 minutes for my risotto after my starter... Risotto was okay, but it arrived only lukewarm. The glass of wine I ordered at the same time never arrived... but I got a grappa on the house. Summary: they always tried hard, but were a complete failure.

The price range is a bit high, but it is worth it as you can feel that every corner of the store is well-maintained with great care. This is a highly recommended restaurant.👍
