It was a great experience. Our waiter, Piaggio, was very attentive and foresaw every need. Great wine and delicious food.

Abbiamo scelto Risotto perchè aveva vinto la competizione del programma TV "Little Big Italy" come miglior ristorante italiano a Monaco. La sala del ristorante e il suo arredo sono semplici ma insieme raffinati ed eleganti. Le luci soffuse e la musica in lieve sottofondo conferiscono. Un'atmosfera insieme familiare e romantica. Un menù che spazia tra varie ricette regionali italiane. Delicate e gustose le varie opzioni di risotto che io e i miei familiari abbiamo ordinato. Tenero e saporito il brasato. Notevole il vitello tonnato con salsa fatta con.la ricetta tradizionale. Deliziosa e delicata la variazione creativa del cannolo siciliano. Buona la selezione della carta dei vini. Per finire, un complimento all'attento, cortesissimo e celere servizio. Torneremo sicuramente. Consigliatissimo 5/5.

Dal momento in cui siamo entrati, l'atmosfera accogliente e il personale attento ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa. Il menu offriva una deliziosa gamma di piatti, tutti sapientemente realizzati con ingredienti freschi e di alta qualità. All food and service very very good except A skinny man with a beard, wearing a star-shaped ring and a bracelet on his right hand. He has a shaved head, lacks manners, doesn’t take orders, yanks the payment scanner from customer’s hands, looks displeased, and speaks rudely. Other waiters alway come up to us and check everything ok and have a good joke with us.

I live around the corner and Risotto is my absolute favorite restaurant. Wonderful food, warm, cozy atmosphere. Service very special, very personal and attentive. Absolutely disappointing...there were two pasta dishes on the menu, so you would expect them to be perfectly prepared. I had Paccheri ai gamberi e Zucchine (pasta with king prawns, garlic, tomato sugo and zucchini. It is an absolutely simple dish, and even this was bad: the pasta was hard (al dente is something else), the king prawns were any kind Pieces of cut shrimp (poor quality), there was hardly any sauce and the garlic was not to be tasted. The only thing that tasted good were the zucchini pieces. Needless to say, this “cooking performance” is not worth about €19. Risotto al Gorgonzola, Pere e Noci was quite ok, but nothing that you would remember as a starter was ok, although in a restaurant that wants to present itself as good, that should be a given Don't go wrong with the dish. Oh yes, you won't be full either (although that's the least of the problems). The people were nice and tried hard, but that doesn't make the food good. In summary: more appearance than reality not.

There were two of us and we had Risotto Gorgonzola, pasta with king prawns and Vitello Tonnato as a starter. The starter was really very good. We both enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the main course was a bit disappointing. If the starter hadn't been so good, I would only give it 1 star. My risotto was well prepared, but unfortunately it didn't really appeal to me in terms of taste. I thought it tasted too much like cheese, not like pear or spices. I just missed the finesse there. It was similar with the pasta dish. They were well prepared, but the shrimp was cut, the sauce wasn't that tasty and the Italian love was just missing. To be honest, I do it better at home. The service was relatively good. They were friendly and attentive, I was just missing a little smile every now and then, so the last star was missed. I found the atmosphere very nice. It was quite a small shop, but very harmonious, everything was clean and appropriately selected. Full stars. Conclusion: since I thought Munich was called "the northernmost city in Italy", I at least eat Italian food once. It's a shame that the main courses weren't that good, or that we just didn't like them, but you could definitely do better. I wouldn't go there again.

We ate inside. The restaurant has a very narrow space so it is very noisy, people's conversations are very loud and we had to shout to be understood. Service was just on time and punctual. The octopus as a starter was outstanding! The pumpkin risotto with shrimp carpaccio was OK, the pasta with aubergine and ricotta cheese was very delicious. Sorry, but I don't recommend their tiramisu. The cream was very dominant, and to be honest, it didn't seem so fresh to us.

A nice birthday dinner in a nice atmosphere. I was able to spend a relaxing evening here. Great food, smart service, not cheap, but good value in the best sense.

I was there for a business lunch. The menu is clear and very interesting. The kitchen and the owners come from Sicily and this is also how the dishes on the menu are advertised. However, here we are again dealing with Italian cuisine, which he interprets in the direction of Novelle Cousin. It has very little to do with Sicilian cuisine. The execution of the dishes is good, the quantity is very manageable and the taste is rather average. Too many spices and creamy sauces are used, which are not very common in Italian cuisine. Therefore I am disappointed with the kitchen. The owners and service were extremely nice. In my opinion the bill was too high, which is probably due to the fact that risotto won a TV competition with Alessandro Borgese. The overall lack of value for money means that I only give it three stars.

PRO'S: We came to Ristorante Risotto for risotto but got much more. We had bruschetta and the house mista salad for starters. We let the chef recommend a meat & pasta dish, truffle risotto and a Langhe Nebbiolo wine to accompany the meal. All fantastic. Best pasta I've ever eaten in my entire life!

Magnifico! Who would have thought our best Italian dinner would have been in Germany. My wife found this gem in her planning and due to my affection for Risotto booked a reservation. When you enter you are greeted by the warmest host of Italians and made to feel like family. They strive to give you an authentic Italian dinner and the have bested their own efforts. We were welcomed into an Italian families home for dinner and it was fabulous. We sampled olive oils, breads, appetizers, wine, and some fantastic risotto. Would recommend to friends, family, and anyone who will listen. Wonderful job!!!

Great service and delicious food. The waiters were kind to us, as we did not speak German. They made jokes and were very helpful in guiding our food selections along with the perfect wine. We were very happy with what turned out to be the best meal we had in Munich over the 3 day weekend we were in town.

Casual elegance. Very authentic Italian cuisine with very friendly Italian staff. The Sicilian oils were very aromatic and the made-to-order risottos were on point. Our table at curb-side on a lazy Sunday in September helped provide a great all-around dining experience.

I chose this place based on the ranking but it wasn't as expected. I rank the food as average but not mouthwatering.

I'd found Risotto on TripAdvisor in preparation for the trip. It is a GOLD Traveler's Choice Award winner. We took a tram from the Central Train Station to a suburb not far away and walked about six minutes to the restaurant. We had been seen walking up the walk and a staff person opened the door for us and greeted us warmly. As the weather was not cooperating, we chose a table in the intimate and very romantic dining room. I'll try to attach a photo of it. Our server was patient as we were not familiar with much of the menu. When asked for help, he made a suggestion or two. We started with an avacado appetizer that was surprisingly good. Then, my companion ordered the signature risotto and I caved to my craving for beef. It was accompanied by a nice serving of what might be the best vegetable "side" I've ever had. But, the star of the meal was the bottle of 2019 Cantine San Marzano 60 Sessantanni Old Vines Primitivo di Manduria. I've had primitivo many times but not like this. This was special. So special that I've spent much of the last two days (since returning home) trying to get a case of it shipped to me! (It is available but I've been looking for a "deal") Our server, Biagio, was excellent. Never too much of a presence but always there when our wine needed replenishing. If I could go for dinner here each week, I would! It's that good.

The pasta I ordered was good but very little and the desserts are not good at all (in fact the short panna was discarded). Value for money, not very good.

We chose this restaurant based on the reviews written by those who had already tried it. The dishes are excellent, appetizer, first courses, second courses and desserts, served with attention and care in the plating. The owners of the place are really very kind, courteous and attentive, even to the youngest customers. A dinner in this place is really worth it ❤️

I ordered myself a tiramisu and it was the best tiramisu I have ever had. Also, this restaurant has an incredible atmosphere and pleasant music Definitely recommend! P.S. Coffee is top here

Nice Italian restaurant in a quiet location between Hirschgarten and Nymphenburg Palace Park. Ideal starting point for a cultural activity in the castle. You can sit comfortably on the terrace, which is located directly on the (not busy) street, and watch the relaxed goings-on in the residential area. The menu (and the prices) indicate a level above the "typical" pizza Italian and the risotto delivers that. The eponymous dishes are really tasty and the pasta dishes can also keep up with the quality. The varied weekly menu also offers a choice between various fish and meat dishes. Unfortunately, only the dessert lost a star - the timamisu was too soaked and the cannolo, on the other hand, was very crispy. The service is reserved, friendly and attentive (coffee powder was lit to prevent overly curious wasps). The whole thing has an Italian flair, so you can easily imagine yourself further south. Clear recommendation for anyone who appreciates good Italian food.

Arrived, told I had reserved. First left to stand for four minutes. Then I was told that they didn't have a reservation for me. But I could wait. They were nice enough to give me a pizza sandwich while I was waiting for 25 minutes. Ordered pulpo, after 15 minutes I was told that it was out and I was offered calamari instead. The starter was good, but 3 calamari for 19.50 EUR was way too expensive. I had to wait another 40 minutes for my risotto after my starter... Risotto was okay, but it arrived only lukewarm. The glass of wine I ordered at the same time never arrived... but I got a grappa on the house. Summary: they always tried hard, but were a complete failure.

Doesn't deserve all the praise from the reviews I just read. Very disappointing restaurant, limited menu and dishes without flavor or interest. I don't recommend it at all.

Risotto (Italian) restaurant where everything was perfect. All the staff are friendly and kind. Above all, the plating and food are excellent. The price range is a bit high, but it is worth it as you can feel that every corner of the store is well-maintained with great care. This is a highly recommended restaurant.👍

Everything you could hope for from a meal with delicious Italian cuisine....Bravo

The menu is rather manageable, which makes you even more surprised that half of it isn't available. For the two pasta dishes (yes, 2), they don't have the main ingredients - you have to work that out. Pasta alla norma - here with zucchini, a hefty price of 16.50 for such a meal that I wouldn't even serve at home. But they had mushrooms, everywhere, in every dish. So many mushrooms and so roughly chopped that they were still raw on the pinsa. Actually strange, the Pinsa was otherwise completely burnt... Keep mushrooms! Starters with no taste, tomatoes so bad that I can get better ones from Netto, in the 2.99/kg segment. For 8.50 per starter it's a disgrace. Finally, risotto with mushrooms. In total, our table probably consumed 1kg of mushrooms, definitely bought well, we had to get rid of them. Thanks, we'll never come back, at 50+ euros per person we'd rather have a real meal. The terrace is now on the street and no longer in the middle like it used to be. It's cheaper and you don't have to rent it separately. Guests sit on makeshift paving stones, here they take care of the customer! We didn't risk dessert, although we heard at the neighboring table that several of them were out anyway.

Unfortunately I have to contradict the reviews here, the food was not good at all and very, very expensive! The risotto tasted really bad and was cold. Many ingredients didn't taste very fresh. Service was okay, but not impeccable either… the terrace is nice but the kitchen in the store itself is open, which means you also sit in the haze.

Really good food! Risotto well made, not perfect but deserves a 5-star rating! Desserts were spot on! The tiramisu was amazing! The cheesecake, although a bit too sweet, was very good, and the cannoli were really good.

Was “greeted” by an older bald man wearing glasses in a white shirt. We told him we had reservations - he grumped away without telling us to wait or follow him. He came back and then verified our reservation and sat us. Another man brought us water and we were hopeful he would be our server. Sadly it was not to be. The grump old man came back after waiting on 2 tables of Germans who came in after us. My husband inquired about bourbon he saw on the way in and he told him only wine. Our son who speaks fluent German asked and the server again walked off from us throwing his hand in the air and returning with the bourbon list. I asked if they had sprite or 7-up and he said look on the back of your menu. He then left and continued to wait on all of his other tables. We left cash for the water and left. My advice if you are American or speak English- even with a fluent German speaker avoid this restaurant. It cost us a taxi fare and several hours of our life for nothing. BTW- the menu was pretty limited as well- steak and calamari as the only seconds listed. I will not support rudeness.

Da siciliana che vive in Toscana ho avuto il piacere di sentirmi a casa anche fuori Italia. Accoglienza calorosa e atmosfera rilassante, suggestiva. Ristorante scoperto grazie ai miei cugini con i quali abbiamo avuto il piacere di sentirci in famiglia! Dopo il primo pranzo all'aperto abbiamo deciso di tornarci una seconda volta per una cena all'interno: locale curato, elegante, atmosfera che avvolge grazie anche alle coccole di uno staff preparato e attento alla cura del cliente, empatico ma allo stesso tempo discreto. Abbiamo scelto sia piatti di terra che di mare apprezzandone in entrambe le occasioni l'alta qualità della materia prima e la ricerca nell'abbinamento dei sapori. Un grazie ai proprietari, allo chef e a tutto lo staff per la passione trasmessa nei piatti, per aver soddisfatto le nostre aspettative e per il loro lavoro di mantenere fede alla cucina italiana! Assolutamente da consigliare e riconsiderare ad ogni tappa a Monaco.

So I would give it 4 stars because the menu was very focused on truffles and unfortunately not every "cup of tea". Service was absolutely fantastic, we didn't have to do anything and we were always looked after. Atmosphere, unfortunately, a few too many tables in the restaurant, making it a bit too “cozy” hence 4 stars. Because of the service, I'm happy to give it 5 stars overall. Thanks and VG

The food was amazing, and the service was brilliant. Amazing sense of humour, super friendly. If I lived close by, I would be a regular. I can recommend the risotto, we ordered both and they were brilliant. The pasta was lovely. I couldn't recommend this place enough, it's the sort of restaurant you go to for the food but then stay for the amazing service and atmosphere. We felt right at home. One of the best places we ate at on our trip.

Very flavoursome. Had the SPAGHETTI SCAMPI. Then Tiramisu for dessert. Very nice. The service was good. They did their best to be accommodating and humorous, but for us it was at times bordering on cocky and overbearing which put us off coming a second time.

The name says it all, so we had risotto twice. It was very aromatic and the consistency of the rice was perfect, except that mine was unfortunately very salty. Therefore only 4 stars. I'm sure that was an exception.

Location: It is a bit drive distance from the city, but the area is quiet and nice. We drive to there and find a park lot on the street nearby the restaurant. 4.5 Environment: we sit outside on the terrace, it is relaxing and summer feeling. Very green, less people pass by, good atmosphere. 5 Food: the highlights are the food!! The starter is classic, for my personal taste the meat is a bit dry, but the source is good. The two main courses just excellent! The pasta is creamy but the noodles are not hard. The Risotto is just perfect! Okay. The desert is too sweet for me, I would try the Tiramisu next time. 5 Service: I’m not so happy about the service because I couldn’t separate either he is pissed nor it’s kind of his humor. Sometimes I feel he is not so happy to serve us 😅 4 Price: I think it’s a fair price for this type of quality food. 4.5 Overall: 4.6 maybe I will go back to try out the other dishes.

A cosy Italian place with a very high quality of food, not too simple, excellently prepared and served. Thankfully, portions are not too big, you can try at least anti pasti and secondi or their magnificent risotto. What is also remarkable is the speed of service which was unusually high and we loved it (hate spending 3 hours for one casual dinner) - it took us no longer than 1.5 hrs for a starter, main dish, and desserts. Would definitely come back again to try the chef’s set!

Very tasty, very friendly, very full :-) Reservations are absolutely recommended, as this is one of the best Italian restaurants in the west of Munich! Hatten für mehrere Personen reserviert. Den Tisch, bei einem vor Ort Besuch, weit im Voraus ausgesucht und nochmals 2 Tage vorher telefonisch bestätigt. Stattdessen bekamen wir einen, für die Personenzahl, viel zu kleinen (Katzen-)Tisch zugewiesen. Auf Anfrage einen anderen, den gewünschten Tisch zu bekommen kam die die Antwort leider nur für 1, 5 Stunden möglich da dann für eine größere Gruppe reserviert sei. Die Gerichte gut, Preis/Leistung dafür im Rahmen. Der Service freundlich. Preise für Weine,selbst für Münchner Verhältnisse, exorbitant. Die Geräuschkulisse, im sehr eng bestuhlten Gastraum, untermalt mit „Fahrstuhl Musik“ ließ eine Unterhaltung nicht zu. Nach vielen vorangegangen positiven Besuchen war es dann das wohl. Schade.

Authentic italian family dining in Munich. About a 15-20min transit from the munchen hbf station. The service was exquisite, personalized and attentive to every ask you may want. The food was delicious, the olive oil is made through four different family generations and can be bought for purchase. The garlic olive oil and chili oil were our favorites. The tasting of all the flavors was a fun experience. Location is small and quaint so reservations highly recommended as seating is limited. Highly recommend

Was at “Risotto” for the first time today. The restaurant has a good name, the shrimp and asparagus risotto was really excellent. Very attentive service. The restaurant is pleasantly small. The details are also right. Delicious, home-baked bread with 5 different oils as an appetizer and the espresso is a perfect Italian ristretto. Gladly again.

It is an excelent italian restaurant, with the taste of Sicilia. Service not only kind but rally friendly. It is the best italian restaurant, where ever I eat.

Been here once and tried the mushrooms risotto and the shrimps risotto and both were exceptional. The service and staff was amazing very hospitable and attentive, definitely one of the best Italian restaurants in Munich.

Mangiato benissimo, posto autentico italiano con personale gentilissimo (siciliani doc) e piatti curati della vera cucina italiana. Sicuramente il miglior ristorante italiano provato a Monaco. Nonostante ogni anno venga per lavoro, io Risotto sarà una tappa fissa. Grazie ragazzi. Prezzo onesto e omaggi offerti come la varietà di olii e l'entré del dolce. Alla prossima!!!

Friendly staff, great food. Nice and quiet atmosphere

Quite simply the best Italian restaurant in Munich. Atmosphere friendly, relaxed yet still sophisticated. We had steak tartare, linguini with prawns, bruschetta, caprese di bufala . Each dish was exceptional. We were served a variety of Sicilian olive oils with bread which were divine, and have been produced by the family for years. Wine list great. Thank you for a memorable evening.

I loved the service, the food and the atmosphere. Very, very nice place! A little bit of Italy in Germany. The staff are super friendly and Italian, the food is divine and they produce their own PERFECT olive oil! I regret not bringing home some garlic oil.

An amazing place that makes you want to bring your darlings here. Best risotto in my life (pear and blue cheese). Relaxed but refined atmosphere. Friendly team. Will return for sure!
