Food was not bad, however, the place was full of flies and mosquitoes and they were in hundreds flying around the food and the drinks. When we spoke to the stuff, they said this normal.

The restaurant is really in need of renovation and doesn't seem really clean. There was an infestation of fruit flies sitting all over the walls, pictures, etc. This would supposedly be the case everywhere in Rüdesheim, because of the feather white 🤷‍♀️ it really irritated us and we found it very unappetizing. What really annoyed me was that the prices posted online didn't match the actual prices. I think spaghetti frutti di mare for €18.50 is sporty...and I come from the Frankfurt suburbs, where things aren't exactly cheap either. There is a lot of room for improvement in this restaurant. However, the service was very friendly.

Very nice Italian restaurant. The waitresses were very polite and accommodating. Eating so-so... I like pizza where the dough is made in-house. Pizza dough doesn't look like it was made in-house. Baked sheep cheese too. This is served on a salad bouquet, there is clearly no salad! Bread and pizza bread very tasty. The salads with the delicious dressing and turkey or mushrooms are also very good. There are certainly homemade dishes, but we didn't try them. In any case, we'll always be happy to come back

We came with three adults and four children, including a stroller. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and the service was very attentive. We can recommend it.

Tablecloths very dirty, food normal, nothing special, but expensive. We used to be regulars. Quality has deteriorated significantly. The tablecloths at several other tables were also very dirty and were only changed after request. Pizza was ok, but well, one was burnt. None of them were particularly tasty. Bottle. Apart from that, the price-performance ratio doesn't fit, in our opinion it's too expensive. We as locals don't go there anymore. The restaurant is in a very nice part of the city. Although it has Italian specifics, the food has little to do with Italian cuisine. The pizza was the most disappointing. However, the German schnitzel with mushroom sauce was a much better choice.

Very tasty salad that I was able to enjoy in this beautiful setting in the center of Rüdesheim. It's a shame that I was alone in the restaurant at that time, but it's certainly full at lunchtime and in the evening. The restaurant definitely gets my recommendation 😋👍

The staffs are friendly and welcoming, but the pepperonis on the pizza are way too salty I have to say. The lasagna was ok, standard but not surprising. But the pizza’s were disappointing. And soft drinks cost more than €5 per glass was also a little bit shocking.

NEVER AGAIN: Our nightmare experience in Portofino On behalf of our travel group, I would like to describe a very disappointing experience that we had in this pizzeria on July 5th, 2024. While checking out, a waiter tipped over a half-full glass of wine, which spilled across the table and onto my colleague's jacket and dog. Instead of immediately taking care of the mishap, the waiter initially walked away to continue charging our group. At our request, he just gave us a handful of napkins to clean ourselves and continued collecting. Another waiter idly watched what was happening from the gallery and obviously found the situation, especially the dog with the red wine stains, amusing. Nothing further happened. We as customers had to take care of the waiter's mishap ourselves. We didn't want to leave it like that and spoke to the person responsible. We wanted to resolve the situation, especially the issue of cleaning costs. We would also have liked to receive an apology and for the waiter to finally do his job and wipe the table. The manager of the restaurant was reportedly unable to speak. However, the waiter acted like he didn't understand what we wanted and laughed at us when we raised the issue. He reluctantly apologized and offered us a stain remover (reminder: for the red wine stains on a branded hiking jacket). In addition, the waiter did not offer to replace the wine my colleague had already paid for. After considerable pressure on our part and long discussions, we finally received 20 euros for the cleaning and a bottle of wine as compensation. However, the politeness of the service quickly disappeared. At the end the waiter took the liberty of insulting and insulting us by saying that we were being cheeky and should piss ourselves off. This incident was not only annoying, but also very morally stressful. Our legitimate complaints were not taken seriously and we as customers ended up being treated disrespectfully. For a city that is open to tourists, treating customers like this is simply unacceptable. We are from the region and will certainly never visit or recommend this restaurant again. DEFINITELY.

Stellvertretend für unsere Reisegruppe möchte ich eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung schildern, die wir am 05.07.2024 in dieser Pizzeria gemacht haben. Beim Kassieren hat ein Kellner ein halbvolles Glas Wein umgekippt, das über den Tisch und auf die Jacke sowie den Hund meiner Kollegin lief. Anstatt sich sofort um das Missgeschick zu kümmern, entfernte sich der Kellner zunächst, um unsere Gruppe weiter abzukassieren. Auf unser Verlangen hin gab er uns lediglich eine Handvoll Servietten zum Selberputzen und setzte das Kassieren fort. Ein anderer Kellner beobachtete tatenlos das Geschehen von der Empore und fand die Situation, insbesondere den Hund mit den Rotweinflecken, offensichtlich amüsant. Es passierte nichts weiter. Wir als Kunden mussten uns selbst um das Missgeschick des Kellners kümmern. Dies wollten wir nicht so stehen lassen und sprachen den Verursacher darauf an. Wir wollten die Situation regeln, insbesondere die Frage der Reinigungskosten. Eine Entschuldigung hätten wir ebenfalls gerne erhalten und dass der Kellner endlich seiner Aufgabe nachgeht und den Tisch abwischt. Der Chef des Restaurants war angeblich nicht zu sprechen. Der Kellner tat jedoch so, als ob er nicht verstehen würde, was wir wollten, und lachte uns aus, als wir das Problem ansprachen. Er entschuldigte sich nur widerwillig und bot uns einen Fleckenentferner an (zur Erinnerung: für die Rotweinflecken auf einer Markenwanderjacke). Zudem hat der Kellner nicht angeboten, den bereits bezahlten Wein meiner Kollegin zu ersetzen. Nach erheblichem Nachdruck unsererseits und langen Diskussionen erhielten wir schließlich 20 Euro für die Reinigung und eine Flasche Wein als Entschädigung. Die Höflichkeit der Bedienung war jedoch schnell vorbei. Der Kellner erlaubte sich noch, uns am Ende anzupöbeln und zu beleidigen, indem er sagte, wir seien frech und sollten uns verpissen. Dieser Vorfall war nicht nur ärgerlich, sondern auch moralisch sehr belastend. Unsere berechtigten Beschwerden wurden nicht ernst genommen und wir als Kunden wurden am Ende respektlos behandelt. Für eine Stadt, die sich offen für Touristen zeigt, ist ein solcher Umgang mit Kunden einfach eine Schande. Wir sind aus der Region und werden dieses Lokal sicherlich nie wieder besuchen oder weiterempfehlen. DEFINITIV.

Most unprofessional service personnel I have ever experienced. We were paying for our meal when the waiter spilled a glass of red wine on a colleagues jacket, cell phone and most of it on her dog. The waiter said a quick excuse me and grabbed a hand full of napkins and put them on the table and continued to take payment for the meals with no further thought. He then became very defensive and unprofessional when he was told that the jacket had red wine on it and said the cleaners was not that expensive. The unprofessional response and total disregard for the customers discomfort is totally unacceptable. I am writing this to inform others of the unprofessional treatment you receive in this establishment. It gives much better restaurants in Rudesheim such as Toni’s where the service is very good and the personnel are professional waiters. BEWARE.

Food ordered at the hotel has a 60% surcharge for delivery. The hotel employee immediately called the pizzeria. There should be 2 bottles of wine as replacement. Only one was brought. During a personal conversation with the boss, it came out that prices have been increasing for a year and there will be new menus in 4 weeks. Unfortunately you couldn't open the menu online. The pizza bread was rock hard and not edible. You could eat the other dishes. Price performance a bit exaggerated. Wouldn't order/eat again.

Ordered food (cards were 1 year old) and was told when asked, I'm just wondering why they weren't removed? The card couldn't be opened online (woe betide anyone who thinks evil) because our food was up to 60% more expensive, e.g. antipasti platter for 1 person. 10€ was billed excellently for 16€. Pizza bread was a hard frisbee. Pasta with salmon tasted good but the price increase from €12.50 to €19.50 didn't make up for it.

Ordered food for 6 adults. Prices do not match the menus displayed. We weren't made aware of this when we accepted the order. Had to pay 60% more than what was on the menu. When we asked the waitress at our hotel, they said there were old menus and he would send us 2 bottles of wine. What came was only 1 bottle of wine. Even in a personal conversation the next day, the owner was not prepared to compromise. New menus will be available in 4 weeks and the current prices will be on them. Despite the nice service, I have to give the restaurant 3 stars for the food. It was particularly disappointing because I relied on good reviews and therefore expected a delicious meal. Spaghetti Carbonara actually deserves 2 stars, it was swimming in cream. The chef really exaggerated this. Schnitzel was also so-so, but better than spaghetti. Salad was spoiled with white mayo dressing, which in my opinion is already a rule in Germany. It's a shame, the owner is a nice person, but the kitchen needs to be improved.

A really great Italian restaurant. Despite being busy on the Magic Bike weekend, we called at 8:30 p.m. and got a table for six people for 9 p.m. The service was really nice and friendly. The food was also excellent, from the fantastic pizza to the delicious pasta to my minestrone, which was by the way the best I've ever eaten at an Italian restaurant, to my excellent pike-perch fillet. My mouth is watering again just thinking about it. We definitely want to come here, no, we have to go back on our next visit to Rüdesheim. What else needs to be said, all of this at a really reasonable price. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ There again this year, just as good as last year. Everything was great.

The restaurant name is italian. The owner is italian. But the pizza is definitely not (as a disclaimer, I’m italian). First of all, they make a distinction between normal and big size, with differences of about 1 to 2 euros. However, if you order a big sized pizza, it end up being just a normal one. Moreover, the pizza dough is very thin and not great in general. The service was ok and relativey fast. The location is also nice, with possibility of hearing live musics from a nearby pub. Prices are about 10-15 euros per pizza, averaged I would say.

Centraal in de dorpskern gelegen Italiaans restaurant. Lekker gegeten. Uitgebreid kaart met veel pizza en pasta's en enkele specialiteit (aanraders). Vriendelijk personeel.

Wir waren zwischen den Jahren in diesem Restaurant gestrandet und froh dass man uns noch einen Tisch anbieten könnte. Das war der gute Teil. Leider war das Essen von sehr schlechter Qualität, meine Nudeln waren total pampig und geschmacklich undefinierbar . Die Schnitzel waren TK Ware in der Friteuse final getötet, die Pizza erhielt den Kommentar es ging so womit dies noch das Beste Urteil zu den Speisen war. Allerdings hat mein Dietmar den Wein sehr gelobt und da kennt er sich aus. Zum Essen passend war wiederum der Zustand der uralten violetten Tischdecken die wahrscheinlich um deren desolaten Zustand nicht noch weiter zu verschlimmern der Besuch einer Waschmaschine erspart wurde. Sorry so wird das nix mit der Gastro 😕

Sehr leckere Pizza 🍕 Freundliches Personal. Wir waren im Sommer schon mehrmals hier im Biergarten Essen. Die Tischedecken sind zum Teil sehr verwaschen und löchrig. Die Warmwasserboiler mit den verrosteten Leitungen auf der Damentoilette könnte man sicher mit einer Verkleidung etwas kaschieren.

Wir waren angenehm überrascht!!! Es geht auch schmackhaft und zu normalen Preisen in einer Touristenhochburg. Nur einige Meter von der Hauptstraße mit den überteuerten Restaurants haben wir einen Treffer gelandet. Wir hatten uns Pizza bestellt und haben es nicht bereut. Wirklich lecker, kein dicker Boden, gut belegt und schon vorgeschnitten. Sie ließ sich dadurch gut essen. Unaufdringlicher Service und sogar eine kleine Änderung in den Zutaten war kein Problem. Bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Rüdesheim werden wir ganz sicher dort wieder einkehren. Weiter so wir empfehlen dieses Lokal, unbedingt ausprobieren 😀

Bustling place with an italian name in the beautiful main square. Our neighbors left because their food was forgotten. Our drinks took a bit long. The pizza bread was hard, cold and tasteless, like the barren fields of Mordor. The Server and as he said owner was kind and nice and we got some extra wine when we complained but in our view he didn’t appreciate the problem. Pizza was ok. The carpaccio on iceberg salad did not convince us. Not pretty: a lot of plates would circle the restaurant looking for the table who ordered. This great location and restaurant name deserves a better effort in my view

Det er ikke en restaurant med italiensk kok. Vi fik vitello tunnato, hvor kødet var skåret for tykt og tuncremen ikke smagte originalt. Bunden af pizzaerne var ikke god. Måske endda forbagte. Fyldet var ikke sammensat efter italienske traditioner. Colaen var uden brus. Betjening var langsom og nogle tjenere talte hverken tysk eller engelsk.

We thought we’d come here one night, and then try other places. Well we enjoyed our first night so much we have now been back three nights in a row. Between us we have already sampled a lot of the menu and we’ve enjoyed everything. A great atmosphere sitting outside, and great service. Especially Zia who really looked after us. Grazie Zia, a lovely friendly guy.
