Perfect Italian cuisine Great service and very friendly staff.

I had a Pizza Bianca and absolutely loved it. First of all, it's by no means a given that pizzerias in Germany have Pizza Biancas on their menus. Pizza La Romantica had three different versions on the menu. Mine was absolutely fantastic. I've only ever had a Pizza Bianca of similar quality in Liguria. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, and the decor was incredibly cozy and inviting. I'd be happy to come back.

Update 06.02.25 Top top! We had a truly delicious meal here. For starters, we had bruschetta (the tastiest bruschetta in a long time), an Italian salad, and small warm pizza rolls 😋. For mains, we had spaghetti scoglio, the taste here was unique and so typically Italian (best pasta in a long time). Calzone with extra tomato sauce, a wonderfully fluffy crust, and the best ingredients! They served it with small, spicy sauces. Perfect! So, we've found our !favorite Italian restaurant! And such great service here! You guys are really, really good ☺️ Unfortunately, my photos won't upload. We got a table here spontaneously after a hike. Great Italian food, very authentic, and the owner and staff are all very nice and attentive. Anyone who serves such good food deserves a full 5 stars – I would give more, but unfortunately, it's not possible 🤩 We've already reserved a table for next week 😜 See you soon!

A truly exceptional and surprising restaurant! We were pressed for time with a group of 22 people because we had booked a ship for our return trip to Rüdesheim. This particular challenge was no problem at all for this restaurant. Fast service, first-class food, and extremely friendly staff. It was a real surprise for us, as the restaurant was almost completely booked. And all this at a super fair price, and everything freshly prepared. Whether pizza, pasta, or vitello tonato, it was amazing! We'll definitely be back. Keep up the good work, and best regards.

Last Thursday, we visited Pizzeria La Romantica with a large group of over 30 people – and we were absolutely thrilled! The service was excellent from start to finish: friendly, attentive, and absolutely professional. Despite the group size, everything ran smoothly and, above all, quickly – that truly deserves high praise. The food was simply delicious – freshly prepared, with high-quality ingredients, and lovingly presented. Everyone loved it, whether it was pizza, pasta, salad, or dessert – everything was just perfect here. A big thank you to the entire team for a wonderful evening. We can wholeheartedly recommend Pizzeria La Romantica and would love to come back!

It's unbelievable how some people rate! They consider the food delicious – and then they only give it one star because of the sound of trains or something else? That's simply absurd! This pizzeria is one of the very best in the entire Rheingau – if not the best. The staff is warm and professional, the food is of the highest quality, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting – simply top-notch in every respect. Perhaps some sensitive seniors are bothered by noises that have nothing to do with the restaurant. But anyone who "rates" like that clearly doesn't understand what a restaurant review is all about. If you can't give an objective review – you'd better not bother!

The world's best pizza is here!!! Crispy, thin crust from the stone oven with super delicious toppings that provide pure enjoyment and transported us on a culinary journey to Italy! Accompanied by Grandma's hot sauces, delicious and spicy! The salad before the meal was also a treat! The chef is an entertainer, an Italian original who always has a witty saying ready! The boss makes every guest feel like they're being cooked for by their mother at home! Everyone is very friendly and cheerful! Since we first ate here, we look forward to enjoying what we consider to be the world's best pizza here in Assmanshausen every year ;) We always enjoy coming back!!!

A warm welcome, great service, and fantastic food. I had a vegetarian pizza, which I highly recommend. Fresh, crispy, and full of delicious vegetables. The pistachio cake was also a dream 😍. Incredibly good. I would actually come more often if I didn't live so far away🧡.

We were at the restaurant on June 5, 2025. The pizza was okay. The noise level was absolutely negative: Whenever the owner "said" something, it was a shout. The refrigerator was being restocked, so a constant clinking and rattling of bottles could be heard. Then there was loud music from cheap speakers. A train roared past every two minutes, which, however, is not the responsibility of the owners. Conclusion: Never again!!!

I was skeptical, but I had to change my mind, I ate the pizza and it was phenomenal, then we went back and we ate a classic Italian appetizer rated 9, the veal with tuna rating 10 + and the stew rating 10. Not to mention the very kind and friendly owners as well as all the staff, you really feel in Italy. Highly recommended

A big thank you to Donato for this culinary short trip to authentic Italy. I'm from Hamburg, but I'm in the area every month. I'm so glad we visited Donato's wonderful restaurant. My children and I were absolutely thrilled. The many awards are more than deserved! The food was deluxe. The pizza...the dough...magical. Donato and his team are super friendly, funny, and attentive. It couldn't be better. For me, this is now one of the absolute best Italian restaurants outside of Italy. We'll be coming regularly now!

Dry and burnt pizza, lasagna doesn't taste good, the dining room is far too small and too many tables. Unfortunately there are no more great schnitzels like in Rüdesheim. We won't come back again. What a shame after being a regular customer for over 10 years!

Had a family celebration there with 9 people on April 6th. Were served very nicely. The boss is a great guy. The food is without any additives, which makes it possible for me to eat out because I live without a stomach. The boss conveys a great atmosphere, you feel like you are in Italy. Reservations are always recommended, otherwise you'll often find yourself making the trip for nothing. Among the best Italian restaurants in the Rheingau district.

The rest of the menu also makes a great impression - authentic Italian cuisine that leaves nothing to be desired. My pizzeria horizon extends from Koblenz to Frankfurt. I know about pizza (Farina 00, dough 48 hours in the fridge, etc.). My absolute, mega-crazy, super favorite pizza is the one from the incredibly friendly LA ROMANTICA in Assmannshausen. I'm happy to drive 50 km there. The boss knows what he is talking about and you can feel the passion for his work. The pizzas were all very tasty. Children are not perceived as a nuisance, but are warmly welcome - in typical Italian fashion! The kids got their food first, so there was no long complaining, everyone was completely satisfied.

We were in this pizzaria for the first time today on December 7th. We ate the Antonia pizza and a pasta dish gratinated there. We come from the Düren district (NRW). An excellent Italian restaurant, initially discovered in the small town of RÜDESHEIM AM RHEIN itself. Now located in ASSMANNSHAUSEN (6 km from the city center of RÜDESHEIM AM RHEIN), this excellent restaurant has private parking (located behind the restaurant along the railway line) as well as a terrace (rather pleasant in summer ) and offers varied Italian family cuisine. The “INVOLTINO DI MAIALE” escalope is delicious, as is the Italian salad. The pizzas (considered to be among the best in the region) are cooked over a wood fire. Unlike the old restaurant which was rather rustic, the latter is now modern and very well decorated which gives it a warm character. The staff is friendly and there is all the charm of Italy. I particularly thank Donato (the boss) and his wife who welcome us every year according to the rules of art and gastronomy. Returning there several times each year during our visit to RÜDESHEIM AM RHEIN remains a real pleasure.
