A warm welcome, great service, and fantastic food. I had a vegetarian pizza, which I highly recommend. Fresh, crispy, and full of delicious vegetables. The pistachio cake was also a dream 😍. Incredibly good. I would actually come more often if I didn't live so far away🧡.

We were at the restaurant on June 5, 2025. The pizza was okay. The noise level was absolutely negative: Whenever the owner "said" something, it was a shout. The refrigerator was being restocked, so a constant clinking and rattling of bottles could be heard. Then there was loud music from cheap speakers. A train roared past every two minutes, which, however, is not the responsibility of the owners. Conclusion: Never again!!!

I'm absolutely thrilled with this wonderful restaurant! The service is simply top-notch every time – super friendly, attentive, and warm. You immediately feel welcome, whether you come alone or with friends. The chef, in particular, is incredibly kind and always makes you feel at home. The food? A dream! Every pizza is fresh, delicious, and made with love – you can simply taste the quality and passion. The other dishes are also highly recommended! And not to forget: The location is beautiful! 🌿✨ If you just need to unwind and clear your mind, this is the perfect place – cozy, quiet, and with a very special atmosphere. Next time, I’ll dine earlier and take a walk along the Rhine afterward. The oven-baked pizza is perfectly cooked and has a rich wheat aroma. Overall highly rated. The main course has a rich sauce and a large portion, perfect for sharing. The tiramisu is a must-order. The Italian owner greets each table. Near the railway and riverside. I was skeptical, but I had to change my mind, I ate the pizza and it was phenomenal, then we went back and we ate a classic Italian appetizer rated 9, the veal with tuna rating 10 + and the stew rating 10. Not to mention the very kind and friendly owners as well as all the staff, you really feel in Italy. Highly recommended

A big thank you to Donato for this culinary short trip to authentic Italy. I'm from Hamburg, but I'm in the area every month. I'm so glad we visited Donato's wonderful restaurant. My children and I were absolutely thrilled. The many awards are more than deserved! The food was deluxe. The pizza...the dough...magical. Donato and his team are super friendly, funny, and attentive. It couldn't be better. For me, this is now one of the absolute best Italian restaurants outside of Italy. We'll be coming regularly now!

Dry and burnt pizza, lasagna doesn't taste good, the dining room is far too small and too many tables. Unfortunately there are no more great schnitzels like in Rüdesheim. We won't come back again. What a shame after being a regular customer for over 10 years!

We were very happy with our visit! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The food came quickly and tasted excellent – ​​the pizza in particular was a real highlight! Children also feel comfortable. We sat outside; Freight trains pass regularly, but that didn't really bother us. Had a family celebration there with 9 people on April 6th. Were served very nicely. The boss is a great guy. The food is without any additives, which makes it possible for me to eat out because I live without a stomach. The boss conveys a great atmosphere, you feel like you are in Italy. We all thought it was great that something like this still existed.

A classy and always busy Italian restaurant with a family atmosphere. The chef is always relaxed and customer-oriented. No restaurant extras are left out. Pizza and pasta are a highlight. Reservations are always recommended, otherwise you'll often find yourself making the trip for nothing. Among the best Italian restaurants in the Rheingau district.

We visited five times during a week's vacation and for good reason: the food is great, the atmosphere is wonderfully Italian and the staff are always friendly. What more could you want?

An absolute highlight in Rüdesheim! We were completely impressed by the Pizzeria & Ristorante La Romantica. As soon as you enter the restaurant you immediately notice the cozy and inviting atmosphere. The ambience is lovingly designed and you immediately feel at home. The service was extremely friendly and attentive – just the right mix of professionalism and warmth. But the absolute highlight was the pizza! Sensational in taste, perfect from the stone oven, with a wonderfully crispy base and wonderfully fresh ingredients. You can immediately tell that the work here is done with a lot of love and high-quality ingredients. The rest of the menu also makes a great impression - authentic Italian cuisine that leaves nothing to be desired. The price-performance ratio is absolutely reasonable here, and the service leaves nothing to be desired. If you are in Rüdesheim and want really good Italian cuisine, you should definitely not miss this restaurant! We'll definitely be back!

My pizzeria horizon extends from Koblenz to Frankfurt. I know about pizza (Farina 00, dough 48 hours in the fridge, etc.). My absolute, mega-crazy, super favorite pizza is the one from the incredibly friendly LA ROMANTICA in Assmannshausen. I'm happy to drive 50 km there. Update 02/06/25 Top top! We had a really delicious meal here. For starters we had bruschetta (tastiest bruschetta in a long time) an Italian salad and small warm pizza rolls 😋 as a main course spaghetti Scoglio, the taste here is unique and so typically Italian (best pasta in a long time) calzone with extra tomato sauce, great fluffy dough and the best ingredients! Small hot, spicy sauces are served with this. Perfect! So, we have our !favorite Italian! found. And such great service here! You are really really good ☺️ Unfortunately, unfortunately my photos cannot be uploaded. Spontaneously got a table here after a hike. Great Italian food, very authentic and the owner and staff are all very nice and attentive. Anyone who serves such good food deserves a full 5 stars - unfortunately it's not possible to give more 🤩 we have reserved a table for next week 😜 see you soon!

Our visit with a larger group was flawless. The ambience is rustic and the stone oven is a real eye-catcher. The service is personal, open and authentic - that's how it should be. The boss knows what he is talking about and you can feel the passion for his work. The pizzas were all very tasty. Children are not perceived as a nuisance, but are warmly welcome - in typical Italian fashion! The kids got their food first, so there was no long complaining, everyone was completely satisfied.

We were in this pizzaria for the first time today on December 7th. We ate the Antonia pizza and a pasta dish gratinated there. We come from the Düren district (NRW). I have to say it was a very good meal, the pizza was large and well topped , the pasta dish was very tasty and plentiful. We come to La Romantica at least once a month. Every time we try a new pizza or choose the last one that we liked so much. Everything fresh and straight from the wood oven. Donato is a good host and entertains all guests. Today it was nice again! And it stays that way: best pizza in the Rheingau!

An excellent Italian restaurant, initially discovered in the small town of RÜDESHEIM AM RHEIN itself. Now located in ASSMANNSHAUSEN (6 km from the city center of RÜDESHEIM AM RHEIN), this excellent restaurant has private parking (located behind the restaurant along the railway line) as well as a terrace (rather pleasant in summer ) and offers varied Italian family cuisine. The “INVOLTINO DI MAIALE” escalope is delicious, as is the Italian salad. The pizzas (considered to be among the best in the region) are cooked over a wood fire. Unlike the old restaurant which was rather rustic, the latter is now modern and very well decorated which gives it a warm character. The staff is friendly and there is all the charm of Italy. I particularly thank Donato (the boss) and his wife who welcome us every year according to the rules of art and gastronomy. Returning there several times each year during our visit to RÜDESHEIM AM RHEIN remains a real pleasure.

The bruschetta starter was fantastic, the local cellar beer freshly tapped was wonderful, the tartuffo ice cream as dessert doesn't have to hide behind the tartuffo you get in Calabria. In short: Are you in the mood for the best pizza in the Rheingau? This is where you will 100% find them. Are you looking for the best pizza in Germany? I found them here! My family and I will definitely come back here, even though it is a 20km journey. :)

Went there for the third time yesterday. This time too we were not disappointed. The reception is very friendly and you feel welcome. The service is first class. The restaurant was really full, but the service was always attentive and quick. The quality of the food couldn't be better and is second to none. The prices are more than fair. When it comes to friendliness, no one can beat the staff. We will 100% reserve a table at La Romantica again the next time we visit Rüdesheim/Assmannshausen. Food was quite good. Staff very friendly. We were brought the wrong beer. But exchange without any problems. Pizza had to be seasoned. It had never happened to my wife before. The staff didn't take the order properly. It was a pizza wrong. Our friend then had to wait. Of course it was stupid. The staff apologized, of course, but nothing more was done to make amends. Then you have to know that you are sitting right next to the tracks. This means that every few minutes no communication is possible. Trains are constantly passing by. I would describe the price-performance ratio as average.
