Ristorante Pizzeria Peppi's in Bad Dürrheim

The pizza at Pizzeria Peppi's was undoubtedly excellent - the dough was nice and crispy, the ingredients were fresh and everything tasted perfectly. Unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of our visit. The service was simply disappointing. Instead of enjoying a relaxed meal, we felt constantly pressed for time. It was obvious that they would rather process the guests quickly than offer them a pleasant atmosphere. In our case we were finished after less than 30 minutes, which is a real shame for such a good pizza. There was simply no time for dessert or coffee - we were literally asked out. Unfortunately, such a hectic pace and the lack of space to enjoy left us with no choice but to leave no tip. If you want a quick, hectic meal, this might be the place for you, but if you want a relaxing evening with good food, you should look elsewhere.

We arrived with a toddler after calling ahead. We were not welcomed with joy, we were probably afraid that the child would disturb us. Which wasn't the case and then the waitresses became a bit friendlier. Food was great. The price is slightly higher than average. Quality was okay too. Ambiance is okay, a bit cramped. The staff/service was actually its own thing. Basically everyone was very friendly and attentive. -> too attentive. Someone constantly came and asked if we would like to order, we told three different people that we would like to take a look. Then, during mealtime, the staff chatted quite loudly at the tables with, presumably, regular guests. Sometimes also in pairs. It then became quite crowded in the corridors, which meant that other waitresses and guests squeezed past and repeatedly nudged guests sitting at the neighboring table while they were eating or simply came very close. Nevertheless, other waitresses were constantly walking through the aisles and did not defuse the situation. Of course, when the restaurant is full, there is a lot to do, but often you were just checking to see if something was needed, which was quite stressful given the tight situation. The funny thing about it is that if you actually approached someone with a question, etc. then they didn't respond or you weren't noticed. I myself also worked in the catering industry as a waitress, sometimes at 3-4 star restaurants, so this behavior would have been seen as unprofessional and you would have received a reprimand from the boss. There was also some chaos among the waitresses, as no one seemed to know what they were responsible for. Since there is nothing about this in the other recessions, I assume it was an isolated case. As a meeting place for good food and without children, definitely a good place.

We spontaneously visited my mom in rehab in Bad Dürrheim and wanted to go out for dinner in the evening. Unfortunately without a reservation, with little hope of getting a table anywhere (Friday evening with 3 adults and 3 children). Everything was full in the restaurant. But what happened next really sweetened our evening: we weren't sent away straight away, but were given a table after a short wait - so friendly service staff and the food was super delicious. They made everything possible and gave us a wonderful evening. I will always have a positive memory of that when I think of Bad Dürrheim! Thanks!

The food was delicious, everyone at the table was happy with their choice. However, I have to complain about the "mood" of the service staff. No niceness, no smile, no thank you for the tip. As a human being you can have a bad day, but it came across as if it was the uniform attitude of the staff that evening, except for one who was unfortunately serving a different table.

Great atmosphere I have to say, I'm really picky and hard to get excited about, but this restaurant is beautiful and very cozy and you just don't want to get up. My friend took me there because she used to be a regular customer there. When I entered I was greeted very warmly, the whole team fits in perfectly and is really nice. Of course the food was also great. Everything is top notch clean, even the salt and pepper shakers, which are really rare to find, there is even an extra corner with a changing table where cream and wipes are available. The sanitary facilities are like new, everything shines and smells fresh. If you haven't waited there yet, you should definitely see for yourself.

We were there for lunch on Sunday, 3 adults and 3 children. Had reserved a table in the morning. Great service. Our 3-year-old tipped his drink over in his exuberance, the glass of the drink was broken everywhere, two service staff immediately came and cleaned up the mishap. A new drink also came straight away (at our expense, of course, since he tipped it over). The food also came quickly, despite the full terrace and special requests. Very tasty and good portions. First of all: the team is very, very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is nice and, above all, very clean and well-kept. The restaurant is always very busy and they tried hard to get a table even though we came by spontaneously. Plus an open view of the clean pizza kitchen. It's all ok. But: unfortunately the food didn't work at all. I like to cook myself and travel a lot in Italy. But at 17.90 euros for a pizza, I just expect good products. But if you know what grated discount mozzarella tastes like, you'll find it here. Parmesan or Pecorino or fior de latte? Unfortunately not at all. In addition, the actually decent pizza dough is not prepared on a stone but in the form, of course oily on the bottom. It's a shame, but if you like it... The antipasti plate is not like that, but a pure sausage plate, no vitello, no grilled vegetables (except for a few very tasty sliced ​​grilled peppers), no melon with the ham, just a sausage variation with pieces of cheese, nothing homemade. This also costs 17.90 euros and also sausage of average quality at best and mozzarella mini balls that taste purely like the discounter mentioned above. That's simply not possible if you want to be an upscale restaurant, even if the plate was beautifully presented. As I said, it's a shame about the friendly team and great atmosphere, I like to pay good money and eat out, and everyone knows that good products and good service are of course reflected in the price. But delivery service quality at a high price annoys me. Luckily I didn't try any of the expensive meat dishes, which is what I was planning on doing. I think the team in the kitchen could definitely do more, the pizza bakers can handle their dough, you could see that, but these ingredients!

We had reserved a table for 2 on the terrace for 7 p.m. Unfortunately we had to wait a good 15 minutes because there was no table available yet. At first we weren't thrilled. Finally we were allowed to sit down. Then the service came around the corner and we got a delicious Prosecco on the house. We ordered a beef carpaccio, it was tasty, but the meat was cut a little too thick. The pasta dishes were tasty, but not outstanding. However, we would visit this restaurant again. In terms of price, we have already placed this location in the upper range for what is on offer.

We had lunch with almost 40 people. The order was made easily in advance by email, and changes were made without any problems until shortly beforehand. Very tasty food, excellent service!! Feel like a grape roof on the terrace in Italian Tuscany. Service is simply great and you feel warmly welcome in Peppies every time. The whole team at Peppies Restaurant and Pizzeria does everything to make you feel comfortable. We love the salad with our own dressing and the homemade “bread sticks” - a must have. My girlfriend and I have eaten in the restaurant a few times now and it is really excellent, the quality of the food is great, the prices are completely reasonable and what you really have to say is the service is outstanding. In many restaurants the service has become really bad after Corona but here at Peppis Pizzeria the guest is really still king - just give it a try! That's why it's a full five stars!

We were made aware of this restaurant through a recommendation from a couple who were friends of ours and can only warmly recommend it. Delicious food, we had antipasti, pasta, pizza. Super attentive friendly staff. Late in the evening the manager of the house came and asked if we were satisfied. After a nice conversation developed, he even sat down with us for a while with his after-work espresso. Gastronomy with heart.

Ate there several times, always good to very good. Ate in the restaurant today for the first time in years. Food was great as always, but the service was really bad. Cutlery is carelessly "thrown down" and after 2 minutes people are listlessly asking about the drinks. You really feel the false friendliness. I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. I will no longer eat in the restaurant itself.

I've been eating at Peppi's for 35 years now and have always been satisfied, an absolute regular customer, but yesterday I was appalled at the price development, especially for the drinks. A Coke-Zero 0.5l was ordered and it cost a whopping €4.70!!! My mother ordered a coffee (normal small cup) for an unbelievable €3.50, my wife had a 0.5l San Pellegrino water for an outrageous €4.80!!! Well, people, it doesn't work like that, I have nothing against it if the food becomes a little more expensive (due to whatever crisis), but increasing the price of the drinks so massively is an outrage. A box of Coke-Zero costs €8.88 in the store, but I can't even get two 0.5l glasses from you, unbelievable. In the future I will of course continue to come and eat with you, but from today on without ordering drinks!!! Sorry, but that's not how it works. I also ordered my pizza with a few onions and garlic extra, a whopping €1 for a few onion rings and €1 for unrecognizable garlic on the pizza, so people really... ............... UPDATE: Extremely sad, dear Peppi's team, that you don't even have the decency to comment on this, after 35 years of loyalty to your store, unbelievable.

Everything is wonderful, it's an upscale restaurant with super cheap and fair prices for large, delicious portions, service is top notch, the table is completely re-set after each guest, great ambience and cozy atmosphere! Never before have I visited such a great Italian restaurant as Peppis in Bad Dürrheim! But one thing can be said, RESERVATIONS are almost necessary, it is very busy! Real insider tip! :)

I've been a customer at this restaurant for years and have always been satisfied, but on my last visit I noticed something that I don't like. We didn't finish our portions completely and asked for the rest to be packed for us, which was done. Afterwards I noticed that on the bill they charged €1.80 for packaging and 90 cents per dish. €1.80 for 2 pieces of aluminum foil to wrap the leftover pizza. I find this cheeky, especially since there was no indication from the staff that packaging costs extra.

An evening for two. We had antipasti as a starter twice and pizza calzone and gnocchi as a main course. The price is very demanding. Unfortunately, the taste still has room for improvement. Not a unique selling point for our taste. Service was very nice and attentive. Unfortunately, in total there is not enough for us to visit again.

Nothing special, food was okay, but completely overpriced (e.g. portion of fries costs €6.50, etc.) A look today at our receipt from yesterday revealed: Really NEVER had that before. 🙈 They actually charged €0.90 for the pizza packaging (to take the rest of my pizza with me). Incredible! I also think it's really outrageous, we were there with 6 people, 4 times with (expensive) food and tips from everyone. You won't see us there again!

Disappointing! We ordered takeaway, spaghetti Peppis, lasagne parmigiana, tagliatelle salmone and a salad. The salad swims in a very fatty yogurt sauce. So much sauce that you should put "yoghurt with salad garnish" on the menu, and extremely salty. - Unfortunately we couldn't eat. The two pasta dishes also had far too much sauce. Unfortunately the sauces weren't good either. There was hardly any bacon in the spaghetti, even though it was on the menu. The Bolognese in the lasagna felt like it was cooked with more cream than minced meat. Unfortunately not recommended. The dishes didn't remind us of Italy, more of an Indian restaurant trying to cook Italian.

Despite a telephone reservation for the outdoor terrace, we were unable to be allocated a free seat when we arrived early. After 15 minutes. After waiting and asking the head waiter twice, we got a table inside. The restaurant was completely full at the time and they apologized for the inconvenience. Service, food, drinks and 1 scoop of ice cream for my daughter as well as 1 digestif (Jägermeister) for me on the house as compensation for the previous wait made up for everything and we were all full.
