Good location, friendly service, and the food is okay!

An Italian restaurant run by true Italians, complete with a truly Italian welcome. Seven of us showed up without a reservation, and they found us a seat right away and welcomed us warmly. The pizzas were very good, and the espresso was truly delicious. And the price was decidedly reasonable for Germany. Highly recommended!

We highly recommend this pizzeria. It's located a bit off the main pedestrian zone in a passageway, but it's worth a visit. We only happened upon it by chance because other restaurants were full. We received a very friendly welcome, and this friendliness continued throughout the evening. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the restaurant was lovely – we'll be back.

I haven't eaten this well in ages. Every forkful was a slice of vacation, as if Naples itself were dancing on your tongue. Fresh, honest, no frills – simply authentic craftsmanship that fills you up and leaves you happy.

I had a great experience at Ristorante Pizzeria Michelangelo in Füssen. The food was delicious authentic Italian flavors with perfectly cooked pasta and crispy, flavorful pizza. Everything tasted fresh and was clearly made with care. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, even though the restaurant was quite busy. They made great recommendations and made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, tucked away in a nice spot just off the main street. Prices were fair, and the portions were generous. I highly recommend this place and would definitely come back next time I'm in Füssen. 5 out of 5.

Very delicious salmon and perfectly fried vegetables ~ very tasteful. The restaurant is located on a small side street and is very cozy. Friendly staff 👌 you can sit both outside and inside. The city has a cozy old town. The rest is up to us to experience as tourists :-)

Franco and his staff constantly deliver prompt and outstanding service no matter how busy they are. I had a group of 25 clients dining there and they absolutely loved the food. I’ve been there 3 times and have always been extremely impressed and satisfied.

There were seven of us, and they welcomed us even without a reservation. The restaurant is located on a narrow street just outside the pedestrian area. The staff were friendly, and the owner, Franco, was very welcoming. The Sardinian chef delighted us with a variety of Italian dishes, using quality ingredients. First courses and dessert were included for everyone, and we spent about €25 per person.

A restaurant with truly well-prepared Italian dishes. The owner, Franco, immediately made us feel at home away from home. We were on a tour of Austria and also stopped in Füssen, Germany. I'd say everything was excellent, thanks in part to their Sardinian chef. Prices are in line with Austro-German standards. We recommend it to anyone looking for a well-made pasta dish.

The best pizza we've ever eaten outside of Italy. Fresh from the stone oven, beautifully thin crust, and high-quality toppings. The pepperoni sausage is divine. We had a Pizza Diavola and a Pizza Rustica. I highly recommend it.

Hello, After our visit to the musical, where the setting is a beautiful location, we wanted to round off the day with a good dinner in the old town. As we strolled through the alleys, we discovered this restaurant...tucked away in a side street. I have to say, we weren't disappointed. We highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys good Italian food. The food was absolutely amazing, the taste was outstanding, as was the ambiance, both inside and out. The service was always courteous. We'd be happy to come back.

So we had pizza, the base was super crispy and the toppings were perfect.

We are a family of three and dined at the Michelangelo restaurant on May 8, 2025. The location is perfect, right in the center of Füssen in a very pretty alley. The ambiance is pleasant, and we were very satisfied with the service (quick and friendly) and the quality of the dishes served. I want to write this review for one reason only. The pizza is special, one of the best I've ever eaten. Fresh, high-quality ingredients and a perfect dough. Even my 7-year-old son almost finished a medium pizza by himself; he too was thrilled with his salami pizza. For lovers of Italian cuisine, I highly recommend this restaurant. And for pizza lovers, it's a must.

Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for our food, the pasta wasn't quite cooked through and the sauce also tasted very boring. The pizza was quite tasty, but nothing special. But it has a very, very nice interior and a very nice ambience.

Positive: The Mushroom Pizza was good. The truffle pasta "looked" fancy! Negatives: Truffle pasta was tasteless with uncooked pasta. Even though I sent it back and asked the cook to make it tastier, it arrived with some olive oil added and the cheese was melted. I didn't like it at all. Total disappointment for 19.5 Euros meal! The service was also very poor. It was like the staff were forced to serve and were not friendly. I will not recommend this place at all. Edit (after owner's comment): first of all have some tolerance for negative comments and reviews. I am happy you have taken the time to read my other reviews and you can see when something is even a tiny bit good I write about it. Your restaurant is overrated. Bad service and low quality food, perfect combination to stay away whatsoever.

A wonderful Italian restaurant! The food is always fresh and incredibly tasty. The service is very warm and attentive - you immediately feel welcome. I always enjoy coming over with my husband and enjoying the great atmosphere. Absolute recommendation :)

One of the few restaurants in fussen where you get time to eat, they wait between starters en main course as asked, very nice food, good service, not too expensive, worth a visit.

Aside from messing up the order and taking a while to take orders, the food was exceptional and well priced.

First on the positive side: it seems to be quite clean and I liked the furniture. Now for the rest: Food: was okay, I've had much better pasta (sauce from brunch), pizza was okay. The waiter: super slow, very slow-witted and then cheekily demands a 10 euro tip for miserable service. When this was refused, the reaction was very snippy. You won't see us here anymore. impudence.

Wir waren leider absolut unzufrieden. Zuerst war es in diesem Lokal kalt und einige von uns mussten mit Jacke am Tisch sitzen. Der Hauswein war mit Wasser verdünnt . Wir haben Pizza, Salat und Steak bestellt. Der Salat kam irgendwann nach den Pizzen an den Tisch und hatte ein seltsames Majo Dressing , uns wäre Essig und Öl lieber gewesen, aber wir würden nicht gefragt. Auf einer Meeresfrüchte Pizza stand das Wasser und wir reklamieren , Pizza wurde neu gemacht, dauerte dann aber ca 20 Minuten. Beim Steak hieß es als Beilage gäbe es Tagesgemüse , an den Tisch kam ein unansehnliches Pürree aus Kartoffel und Pilz was eher an Hundefutter erinnerte und nicht einmal zum probieren einlud . Das Steak war fast roh , nach dem Gargrad wurde auch nicht gefragt . Wir beobachteten während unserem Aufenthalt dass einige Teller von anderen Gästen wieder in die Küche getragen wurden. Leider wurden wir auch nicht gefragt , ob mit den Speisen alles in Ordnung ist . Auch beim verlassen des Lokals wurden wir mit keinem Ton verabschiedet. Fazit , wir waren alle sehr enttäuscht und haben uns sehr geärgert , dafür Geld augegeben zu haben . Wir werden dieses Lokal kein zweites mal besuchen .

The pizza here always tastes very good. Unfortunately, the pleasure is greatly diminished by the dull knives. And it wasn't just one knife, but 3 or 6 knives, because there were three of us and a special knife was unnecessarily served with the pizza, which was also unsuitable for cutting a pizza because the saw blades were completely worn out.

Excellent steak and perfect cooking!😋 The panna cotta with berry sauce was delicious (recommended by the friendly bartender), courtesy and service appreciated. Thank you!

The food is of average quality (lettuce wilted, ready-made sauce, lasagne very burnt) and the prices are much too high. Here and there the inventory needs to be overhauled, the table lamp didn't work, a wall lamp wasn't on, which is essential for the overall picture and the toilets are creepy, as my daughter put it ;-). If you only want to share a main course for 2 adults, on average 17-25 euros, you have to pay a 2 euro surcharge. Conditions are friendly, food tasted good so far, the bruschetta with lots of olives was a bit strange.

Fast and good service. The waitresses were very friendly and helpful. However, I am disappointed with the food, I ordered a pasta dish with truffle and the pasta was too hard (not al dente) and the flavor of the truffle could not be appreciated; although the pieces of truffle were present as seen in the photo. The portion was very generous.

Excellent staff and our pizzas were amazing, very well prepared and were quickly attended. There is a good variety of Italian dishes and the prices were on point.

Atmosphere was good, but everything else was quite poor. Staff did have difficulties to understand english. Steak was big, but did not include any spicys or dressing or even salt and no salad or anything else. Red wine was continued with water and vodka martini was also not known

We were only in Füssen for 4 days. We ate here a second time. Everything was great, service, food, ambience. Highly recommended.

We live in Virginia, USA. This is one of our favorite Italian restaurants! Food is very good. Staff is friendly. Pizza and Saltimbocca are our favorite. We make sure to go there every time we go to Germany. *UPDATE* We returned 3 years later to have another wonderful meal at Michelangelo's. The food, service and friendliness of the staff remain the same. The Saltimbocca has spoiled us for our local Italian restaurants. Too bad they don't open a restaurant in Virginia!

The food had been very good. I had truffle pasta, which isn't available often, and it was great. The toilets smelled pretty bad but the rest of the restaurant was nice.

We ate there on October 3, 2024. The staff was actually friendly hence 2 stars! The ambience was ok hence 4 stars. But service wasn't ok, we had to wait about 15 minutes for the card, guests who came after us were served quicker! Well then the food, we both ordered cannelloni con carne! The food came very quickly but wasn't good. There was a mixture in the cannelloni that didn't really have anything to do with minced meat, it was a very fine, as if pureed mixture! What we said to the waitress when we paid, but she answered with a friendly smile! We didn't even have a napkin to eat with and only a soup spoon for the cannelloni! For us it was a unique visit!

8-10 pasta options which can be made with gluten free penne pasta. Staff knowledgeable about what can be made gluten free. I felt relatively comfortable eating here with coeliacs disease.

High quality food at fair prices. Located in an alley to the market square you will find this Italian restaurant with very friendly staff. We were there around lunchtime on a sunny weekday and got a seat without a reservation. The prices quoted for the food are very good compared to the surrounding restaurants.

Food was good. Restaurant was found in the middle between two buildings. We got the stuffed salmon pasta, steak, and octopus as an appetizer. They were all good. For drinks we go 2 waters, a beer, and soda. Total was 88 euros after tip or $91. No AC inside and smokers outside.

Most of the restaurants close at 9pm in Fussen. We went to Michelangelo’s after being referred by another restaurant. We were so glad we did! We had the lamb cutlets, Filet with Truffles and shared a small mixed salad. We shared a half liter of Italian red wine and had a fantastic dinner. Every bite was delicious. The meats were perfectly cooked to order, at medium rare, and the flavor was outstanding. The salad was fresh. Our waiter was fun and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellente pizzeria, tenue par un italien absolument délicieux ! Accueil chaleureux, humour, ravi de pouvoir échanger avec ses clients ! Pizzas excellentes, légères, tarif très raisonnable, service rapide... Une halte sympa ! Note humoristique : le menu stipule l'interdiction de jouer aux cartes dans le restaurant... Je ne sais pas ce que je trouve le plus amusant : que des touristes en aient eu le temps où le besoin à cet endroit, ou que le patron ait trouvé important de le préciser ! I had a calzone. This had no mushrooms and was super juicy. There is also an ice cream parlor around the corner which belongs to the restaurant. For this reason it was no problem to get an ice cream there for dessert and eat in the restaurant. At the time, the restaurant itself only served vanilla and chocolate ice cream. The selection in the ice cream parlor was larger.

I was already a couple of times here and before today i didn't had problems. but today with my brother we sat down outside, a waitress came and gave us menu I wanted to have something to take-away, my brother wanted to eat here. After nobody came to take our order for over 30minutes we had to go inside to ask for a waiter to come outside, when she came outside we could already see the disguss on her face and that She didn't wanted to take our order She just did because She had to. After all this another guy came outside maybe to try to solve our problem or just to ask was everything ok?,he was friendly and nice.

Had dinner there today, stood in front of the almost empty restaurant for a few minutes, asked a waitress if we could sit down and were then put off. As she walked past she said she would be there soon, but that didn't happen for a few minutes, so we ended up just sitting down outside. We received the tickets very quickly and ordering them was no problem. The food came very quickly, the toppings on the pizza unfortunately flowed from the dough, but that didn't detract from the taste. However, when it came to the cannelloni with minced meat filling, we quickly realized that the meat was undercooked. After we reported it, the waiter tried to explain to us that this was normal, but took the food away and said he would put it in the oven again. We watched as he went behind the counter, showed the food to his colleagues, and all three visibly started laughing. When we were asked about it when paying, we were reassured that this wasn't the case and that they were just always making a lot of jokes. We find this kind of behavior very unprofessional, making fun of customers' complaints.

Buon compromesso per mangiare una discreta cucina italiana in un contesto di suo iper-turistico e quindi pieno di trappoloni. La cordiale gestione calabrese propone anche qualche ricetta tipica di questa regione, quantunque ritenga che la migliore pietanza servita sia la pizza. In una località come Fussen va bene così, inoltre da segnalare che la cucina chiude tardi rispetto agli orari “tedeschi” di tutti i ristoranti del paese e questo è un importante plus secondo chi scrive (italiano).
