Lake view, friendly service. We was there for Pizza at lunch time.

We ate very good pizza with a view of the Hopfensee. Recommended!

We ordered a pizza caprese, with tomatoes, mozzarella and rocket. When the pizza came there was no arugula on the pizza but iceberg lettuce because they ran out of arugula. The tomatoes weren't cherry tomatoes but large slices of tomatoes carelessly placed on the pizza. Otherwise the pizza was very dry and the cheese was way too salty, not recommended. We told the waitress that we wanted a reduced price for the pizza since it had nothing to do with a Caprese pizza. When she came back she just said “the boss said it was fine” and we didn’t get an apology or anything like that. At the end she was annoyed with us because we wanted to pay separately and not together.

It's very tasty, even if it's a bit more expensive, but what would you expect from such a beautiful vacation spot.

Normally we have always had very good experiences with the restaurant. The view and the ambience are wonderful and very beautiful. This pizzeria was always our number one stop, especially when the weather was good or in the cold winter months. Unfortunately, I can no longer talk about these positive experiences. The service staff is bored, demotivated and not customer oriented at all. There was no need to ask whether the food was good, whether more drinks were wanted or if there were any other requests. The table was not dried before the visit, even though it rained during the visit - two of our guests sat in the rain and we didn't complain about this either, as we had always had such wonderful experiences. The pizzas were not fully baked, which was acceptable to us at the time, but not adequate considering the prices charged. As we were clearing the plates, we pointed this out in a friendly manner, as the waitress finally asked us if everything had been okay. When we pointed out that we are usually very satisfied with every visit and that it was ok for us, unfortunately this time the pizzas were just not completely baked - the service staff seemed surprised - but accepted the feedback with a neutral and distant attitude. We were then charged by the owner of the restaurant - as it turns out afterwards - but he also didn't inquire again. For us, the situation seemed like accepted feedback that we were happy to receive. Unfortunately there was a wasp trap next to the table, which attracted the wasps more than any food or drinks at the table. Basically, we think this is very forward-looking on the part of the restaurant and a good idea. However, a young family refused the table because the wasps were too numerous and very aggressive due to the trap. After the payment process, we pointed out to the restaurant staff that they should please point out the location of the wasp trap when allocating a seat, as it was an unacceptable situation for children or allergy sufferers. We left the restaurant in a good mood and looked forward to another visit in the near future. However, in front of the assembled customers, the owner loudly shouted at us and asked us what right we had to complain about things in his restaurant. He sees no reason to inform guests about the wasp traps they have set up and he doesn't care whether this is unpleasant or even dangerous for guests. Rather, 'we should just see how we get along without it next time, because it doesn't matter to us'. In addition, the accusation was made that we were trying to get 'food for free' - although so far we have enjoyed visiting the restaurant very often and in large groups and have also left with a lot of tips. Regardless of the restaurant owner's lack of ability to take criticism and the lack of competence of the service staff that evening, the tone was unreasonable and an own goal to admit to the customer base present there, as the restaurant owner's demeanor was intimidating and disrespectful. Kind advice and requested feedback were seen as a personal attack, and a friendly and respectful tone was responded to in a condescending, disrespectful and embarrassing manner. From now on it is no longer worth a visit for us under the existing owner and cannot be recommended to anyone.

Very expensive restaurant with good food. The staff could be a bit friendlier. I haven't come across a tiramisu for €11.90 so far, so you skip the sweet dessert.

Really sensationally good pizzas at a good price, served quickly and, however, the drinks were a bit expensive but that was manageable. The only thing that was a little annoying was the music, which was a little too loud. Otherwise everything was fine

The food was delicious, the service was friendly. It's just a bit confusing that the tables are not divided among the service staff. This means that you will be asked by three employees when ordering drinks, as well as when eating and paying. Great atmosphere - but you also pay for it.

The worst service I have ever experienced! Only 15 minutes were completely ignored by 4 waiters with around 10 occupied tables. Ordering took forever and everything came individually. Eating together is impossible. I can't understand why it takes 30 minutes to make tiramisu. Nothing was cleared the whole time, so the table was completely covered in rubbish. We waited 25 minutes for the bill. The prices are trying to make you think of them as noble Italians. But the food is just average and the service doesn't match it at all... Just keep going, there are better things!

Great pizza and pasta. We were very satisfied and can only recommend it. Prices are a little more expensive here, but it's always a little more in the first row at the lake!

Demanding 0.75 liters of water for 7.80 is just an outrage and cannot be justified, such shops should be avoided, they are a rip-off!! 0.2 passion fruit juice 4.90 also a rip off. Pizza about 17 euros. We'll never go back!

One of the best pizzerias we have ever visited. Pasta dishes, pizza and salads are simply excellent. In terms of taste and appearance. The view and the location directly on the lake, as well as the taste experience, are appropriate for the higher prices.

Over 10 euros for two sodas (0.3l) to go. Way too expensive.

Pizzeria with a large selection of pizza, pasta and more (my insider tip: antipasti). The location is a dream, directly overlooking the Hopfensee, from which we are only a small street away. The best thing: for people who want to take a pizza with them to the lake, there are special boxes next to the city trash cans for disposing of empty pizza boxes. Environmentally friendly thought!

We didn't really feel welcome as a family. After the cards were "thrown" onto the table while chewing gum, we exercised our patience to order something. We managed to do this after asking twice. The food came very quickly and was good/sufficient. We asked for the bill and were allowed to pay for the service, ambience and experience with the waiter who was still standing next to us smacking his lips. Otherwise there was only a good or very attentive waiter who was not responsible for us that afternoon because he was serving another part of the terrace. We hope that Niko's colleagues don't take too great an example.

Expensive food of poor quality, but small portions. We were there for dinner in the evening. The view of the lake is of course very beautiful, but it doesn't excuse everything. I'm not a gourmet, but I can tell the difference between warmed scrambled eggs and spaghetti and a carbonara. The other dishes were also served incredibly quickly. The criticism of the food was reflected in the service. The head of the house came into play when paying. He had an incredibly arrogant demeanor. If you feel angry after eating, you can just throw the money in the bin.

If you want to have front-row dining at the lake, you obviously have to forego professional people and good service. And enjoy overpriced food with a lake view. We were just disappointed and reported this, but no one was really interested. If I forget the table reservation, it's clear that I won't be able to remember who ordered what. And no Italian flair. The food is good, but also extremely overpriced. Tiramisu for 12€? Honest? Nevertheless, the shop is busy and if you drive a Porsche, maybe you would like to eat like that?

Pizza tastes good. Asparagus was excellent. The view on the terrace is gigantic. Gladly again...

If you like having discussions with the restaurant manager, this is the right place for you. When asked how two strings get into pizza dough, the explanation was that it came from mushrooms tied together. Since I had never seen it like that before, but didn't ask and apparently looked slightly surprised, the explanation was that you could google it and it certainly wasn't his hair. After the pizza was manually freed from the approximately 25 cm long (second) thread by the speaking restaurant manager, a new pizza was offered, but no word of apology, however expected, followed. I commented that the behavior was rather unseemly for a host in such a restaurant and, by the way, mushroom, tied and thread did not lead to any search results for me at first. But he could read later how he behaved. He then threw his name tag on the table. Still hoping to be able to eat, I asked the unreasonable restaurant manager to “go off,” which was certainly not polite, but was due to the situation. We were then thankfully directed away from the restaurant after we had made several previous visits. Now every potential guest can get an idea.

The worst pizza I've had in a restaurant in a long time! On May 11, 2024 we received 4 pizzas on a ready-made dough base.

We ate ice cream and drank a milkshake here today. Today we spontaneously went for dinner in the afternoon. The reception was very friendly, the waitress was very friendly. The food was just right and we enjoyed it very much.

The food tastes good but the pasta dishes are very small and too expensive. A Kaiserschmarrn for 16.90 euros. A wine spritzer, well noted spritzer, for 6.90 euros. The service is very impersonal. You can also rip someone off with the beautiful view of the Hopfensee.

The food was ok, but the portions were very small for the price and the food wasn't particularly good either. For a pizza that costs over €15, in my opinion it should at least cover the entire plate. The scoop of ice cream that costs over €1.50 should also be at least an appropriate size. The location is clear to me and therefore the prices, but the food should still be of the quality and size commensurate with the price. The staff didn't seem particularly friendly or hard-working.

Totally overpriced vegetarian takeaway pizza at €19.20 (three euros for a little extra gorgonzola)! In addition, the pizza was no longer warm, even though it was picked up exactly at the agreed time!

Unfortunately, we are completely disappointed and that wasn't due to the rainy weather today. The very expensive steak came cold!!! and had a teaspoon of herb butter on it. Plus a small bowl full of fries. My pizza was ok. When the waitress asked us if everything was ok, we said the pizza was ok, but unfortunately the meat was ice cold. Oh I'm sorry. Nothing more came from her. With a price of over 30 euros for the steak, I expect it to come to the table warm. For a pizza of the lower category, the steak, 2 alc. We paid almost 53 euros for free drinks. The tablecloth was stained red and full of crumbs. The service was not good, the staff stood around a lot and paid little or no attention to the guests. We were only asked once if we wanted something more to drink. When we left we were ignored and not said goodbye.

You wait forever until someone comes along. The prices are absolutely fair for the location and the quality and the food is delicious. It would be nice if the staff were present, especially on days when there is little going on, and you don't have to wait forever and almost want to leave.

Coffee so bad and not friendly staff

It's a great restaurant with a wonderful ambience. The employees are super nice and accommodating. The food was very, very tasty. I ate a seafood pizza yesterday and have never had anything like it.

DANGER! Owner tries to remove negative reviews through a lawyer. It is therefore questionable how representative the existing assessments are. The lawyer asks for clear evidence, such as a receipt for a visit that was more than a year in the past. Apparently there is nothing about this in their cash register system - how can it be?! Tip to every visitor: keep your receipt! Additionally, a tip for the owner: I can only recommend questioning your own attitude. Going to a lawyer might seem like the quickest solution at first glance - but not the best. Google offers the option of commenting on reviews. You don't have to get into a public discussion here - but a few apologetic words to the person who had a negative experience might be better and also have a public impact. That would show that you are dealing with the criticism and perhaps want to improve. Threatening to sue your lawyer shows that you cannot and do not want to accept any self-criticism and have no interest in improving yourself. One can certainly argue about the taste and quality of food. We and four people ordered takeaway there. Two of these four people shared a dish (information to the lawyer: I am deliberately not saying what they ate because unfortunately I no longer have the receipt - it could be that the four of us are all mistaken). These two people had, let's call it, health problems in the next 2 days. (Information to the lawyer: I tried to express it as neutrally as possible) Coincidence that exactly these two people who shared the same court had health problems? Everyone can now form their own opinion. Sometimes there are coincidences that don't even exist. Long story short: I don't know if I would act like that. Questionable...

It was very tasty...very good pizza...great staff

Perfect location and view. Service and food are okay. Unfortunately, the price is now completely off the charts. This is no longer in proportion. E.g. children's portion of spaetzle with sauce €12. Drinks 0.33l 5€. Most pizzas from €15-23.

The restaurant has a great view of the lake, which is what you also pay for, as the prices are a quite high (as in the rest of the area). The service was really bad unfortunately, we were ignored for more than 40 minutes until the waitress came to take our drink order (even though others that arrived after us got served very fast), and then the food took another 30 minutes. The pizza tasted good, but was nothing too exceptional. The cake prices were crazy (around 10 euros) 🤯

Food poisoning! I celebrated my birthday with you on January 2nd with 13 guests. After eating the seafood pizza at 8 p.m., I was already vomiting on site at 10 p.m. I came back from the toilets white as a sheet. Another 2 hours later - around 00:00 - I was in the emergency room at the Füssen Clinic, where I was diagnosed with fish poisoning. I just skip the pain and torment and come to the phone call with the boss the next day. No sympathy or empathy was expressed, but rather people were not taken seriously because they said they had eaten at another restaurant.

Nice ambience. Unfortunately, that was it. Rarely have I eaten so badly... Tomato sauce tastes almost exclusively like water. No tomato or creamy taste. My companion was also very disappointed with her food. Not recommended, especially for the price of the food.

Wie man auf dem Foto sehen kann, gibt es hier leckere Pizza, oder besser gesagt, die Pizza war so lecker, wie sie ausschaut. Nur der Service ließ zu wünschen übrig. Es waren engagierte Mitarbeiter zu finden, aber es gab auch die eher gelangweilten. Mich mich gehört es zu einem guten Service, wenn zu mindest einmal nachgefragt wird, ob man noch etwas zu trinken haben möchte, wenn das Glas leer. Aber ansonsten ist die Lokalität zu empfehlen. Das Essen war ja gut.

Nettes Lokal, direkt am Hopfensee mit überragender Aussicht!

Mein Sohn hat in dem Restaurant seinen Geburtstag mit Gästen gefeiert. Nach dem Verzehr der bestellten Meeresfrüchte-Pizza musste mein Sohn ins Krankenhaus. Diagnose: Schwere Fischvergiftung! Restaurant nicht zu empfehlen, wenn man gesundbleiben will. Keine Sterne wert!

Wir sind halb neun noch rein, dachten es hätte bis 23 Uhr geöffnet aber leider doch schon 22 Uhr. Daher wurden wir leider ganz schön unter Druck gesetzt zu bestellen, sonst gäbe es nur Pizza.. wir bestellten Trio Brusschetta, war ganz gut. Rumpsteak mit 5 Kartoffelspalten und Pfifferlingsauce. Das Fleisch war geschmacksneutral. Bei den Spaghetti aglio e olio war ich sehr enttäuscht, es schmeckte nur nach reiner Gemüsebrühe und die Spaghetti waren viel zu weich. Kaiserschmarrn zum Abschluss, sehr trocken und wirklich nichts besonderes. 0815 eben. Ambiente top, Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter auch top.

Also ich muss sagen, dass war das beste Restaurant in dem ich je war. Top Bedienung. Mega leckeres Essen und ein Ambiente das man fast nicht schlafen kann. Abends ist es dort wunderschön. Kellner unglaublich nett und professionell! Immer wieder gerne!

Hatten dort betriebliche Weihnachtsfeier. Im Wintergarten schön zu sitzen. Das Essen war in Ordnung, allerdings recht hochpreisig für Pizza. Das Wasser ist unverschämt teuer - Hopfen am See hin oder her! Laut Webseite bis 23 Uhr geöffnet, wurden um uns herum die Lichter ausgeknipst und uns barsch mitgeteilt dass um 22 Uhr Schluss ist.

Schönes Ambiente, stilvoll angerichtete Speisen. Eine ausgezeichnete Parmesancremesuppe ohne jedem Schnickschnack, so wie es sich gehört. Leider hatten die Tagliatelle Carbonara nichts mit einer Carbonara zu tun. Die Soße einer Carbonara besteht aus Eigelb, Speck oder ggf. rohem Schinken, Parmesan und Gewürzen. Hier bekommt man eine fettige Sahnesoße mit Katenschinken. Ich esse oft und gerne eine Carbonara, aber so eine fette Pampe mit so minderwertigem Schinken habe ich noch nirgends serviert bekommen. Der bis dahin sehr freundliche Kellner hat mich, wie es sich gehört, gefragt wie ich zufrieden war. Natürlich habe ich die Suppe gelobt, aber auch gesagt, dass das servierte Nudelgericht nichts mit einer Carbonara zu tun hatte. Damit war es dann auch mit der Freundlichkeit vorbei. Liebes Team vom Restaurant Riviera, bei den deutlich höheren Preisen als in ähnlichen Lokalen, erwarte ich gutes Essen und ausgezeichneten Service. Leider ist hier in beiden Fällen deutlich Luft nach oben.

Es war eine schöne Atmosphäre in dem Restaurant, und das Essen war sehr lecker. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Kann man nur empfehlen.

Das beste italienische Restaurant in Hopfen. Passt alles - vom Blick über den See, das schmucke Ambiente in den verglasten Vorbauten, die nette und aufmerksame Bedienung und das ausgezeichnete Essen. Im Allgäu ist das unsere Numero Uno.

Wir waren am 25.11. im Lokal. Sowohl das Essen als auch das Personal verdient meiner Meinung nach die höchste Punktzahl. Das Essen, die Pizzen und auch die Nudeln sowie die Vorspeise waren Top. Das Tiramisu zum Schluss hat die ganze Sache abgerundet. Die Preise sind zwar etwas hoch, aber dafür ist die Qualität auch top. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Man kann nur 5 Sterne für alles vergeben, weil alles in allem passt. Top. Die Pizzas sind super lecker, der Teig ist außen am Rand richtig schön locker aber dennoch kross, der Boden ist nicht zu dick und nicht zu dünn, genauso wie er sein soll! Service super freundlich. Klar der Preis ist etwas höher aber für die Region normal. Die Qualität von den Zutaten ist richtig gut und frisch. Da zahlt man gerne den Preis. Gerne wieder, wenn wir wieder in der Region sind.

Das Essen war sehr gut und ausreichend. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Alles in einem, sehr zu empfehlen.

Great italian place to spend time if you appreciate an amazing view of mountains and lake! We came here specifically for the relaxing time with eye candy. Restaurant has a well designed interior and give you warm feeling. Direct view of mountains from the outdoor or glass covered indoor area. Warm and cozy. Good food and drinks. We had pizza, bruschetta, mulled wine and othe drinks.
