We've been here several times already. It's now our favorite restaurant. Perfect for a meal before or after a long walk around Lake Hopfensee. We highly recommend the food, especially the bruschetta, the unique stone-baked pizza, and the unbeatable tiramisu! The waiters and waitresses are efficient and incredibly friendly. The atmosphere is wonderfully cozy and relaxing. The value for money is unbeatable! We're already looking forward to our next visit (despite the longer drive)!

The pizzeria has a great location, and the outdoor seating area offers a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. Unfortunately, the pasta dish wasn't good, and it was very expensive. I expected more for the price.

Very nice restaurant, very nice food. I went there during December, before Christmas, and I could try the winter specials on the menu. I had the truffle pasta, and my boyfriend had the winter special burger. Truffle pasta tasted very good, very comfort food, but a bit too heavy. The only time I had tried truffles before was in Florence, Italy. This was a very nice reminder of good Italian food outside of Italy.

We had pasta, which tasted delicious. Prices are very high; a 0.3l apple spritzer cost €4.90. However, the view of the lake is absolutely stunning 🥰

Very attentive service. Pleasant atmosphere with nice background music. The pizza and burgers were very good. The appetizer we selected wasn't available at the time of our visit. We have to say, unfortunately, that everything was exceptionally delicious. We had a salad, bruschetta, pizza, and pasta... A tiramisu for dessert, and everything was outrageously good and unfortunately always too much for us. We had to struggle to finish everything each time, but we were also highly motivated because everything was simply so delicious. The service was super friendly. The waitresses were always prompt and attentive. All in all, highly recommended. ❤️

I've been visiting the Riviera restaurant for several years and have always been very satisfied (ambience, cuisine, very professional and friendly service). There's a seasonal menu, recommendations, and a regular menu. Especially in good weather or in the evening, you have a fantastic view of Lake Hopfensee with its beautiful Alpine panorama and, in winter, the snow-capped mountains. During peak season, when the weather is nice, it can occasionally get a bit hectic, but I think that's forgivable. Don't forget to tip the waiters appropriately, as they ultimately make their living from it. My recommendation: a glass of water and white wine (e.g., I Frati Lugana), a small mixed salad, a "Del Mare" risotto, and to finish, an espresso with perhaps a small dessert. Enjoy!

A prime location on the lake, with a lovely terrace, a winter garden, and a very tastefully decorated restaurant. The service is excellent; reservations are recommended; there are vegan and gluten-free menu options. The selection of fish, meat, seafood, pasta, and pizza dishes, along with a diverse salad selection, is top-notch. Everything is freshly prepared. Mainly good to upscale Italian cuisine. Truly excellent. I honestly forgot to check whether everything is wheelchair accessible; you'll probably be able to get information by phone.

We were at the Riviera again this weekend. The food was fantastic and the service was top-notch as always. It's very child-friendly, which is very important to me. We love it there; the view of Hopfensee alone is worth it, and I can only recommend it to everyone!

The restaurant has a great location, and we went there for the sunset in glorious weather. The pizzeria's ambiance is fine, and everything about it was perfect. Unfortunately, we each received an inedible pizza that was so hard it was almost impossible to cut. Two-thirds of it went back. The waiter explained to us that the oven was too hot. That was it. No kindness from the service. At €17.00 per pizza, I would have expected that from a restaurant like this. What a shame! In the future, we will enjoy the sunset below the restaurant on the shore of Lake Hopfensee.

We were here for dinner yesterday. The tablecloth was dirty, as was the cutlery. Drinks and food were ordered at the same time, and the food arrived before the drinks. The restaurant wasn't overly busy. It's a shame that this impression prevails, because the food was very good...

A great pizzeria with authentic Italian charm. A fantastic location, right on the lakeshore. The staff is super friendly, and the service is top-notch! We'd barely ordered before the drinks were perfectly served on the table. Neither the delicious appetizer nor the fantastic pizzas were long in coming. This pizzeria is a MUST-VISIT if you want to eat at Hopfensee.

We had a salami and ham pizza and cannelloni. Bruschetta was our starter. Everything was delicious, the view was beautiful, and the servers were friendly. The prices are the same as everywhere else.

The Riviera Restaurant, located directly on the waterfront promenade of the picturesque Hopfensee, is, in my opinion, the best in town. The ambiance is complemented by professional service and good food. However, there are some drawbacks; some products are discount-store quality: salami, mozzarella, and pepperoni from a can. The bruschetta was soggy with oil. ----- But the big drawback: a €4.90 surcharge for gluten-free products... I'm fine with pizza (separate oven), but for pasta? Socially irresponsible, as many children are affected by this. I'd rather pay €1 more as an "inclusion fee." -----

Unfortunately, the pizza wasn't anything special; the taste was rather average. I expected a lot more for the price. The large mixed salad was also quite unspectacular and far too expensive. Overall, it was rather disappointing.

I'm sorry I can't say much positive. My pizza was so dry and tasteless...the worst pizza I've ever eaten. 😪😪. Such a shame. I was so looking forward to it. The salad was good, and my partner's pizza tasted good. Service was lackluster and not very friendly.

Went there for dinner. I ordered a portion of pasta carbonara, which arrived pretty quickly. Unfortunately, it was barely edible because it was swimming in oil, which was clearly visible on the bottom of the plate (deep plate). There was also a really big pile of cheese and egg on the plate, which wasn't spread out but just sat to the side. When I put the food aside, the staff asked me if everything was okay. I explained the problem and declined a new portion. I would like to mention that the staff were very friendly throughout my visit. In the end, the restaurant also took the pasta off the bill.

We were here with the whole family. The staff was very child-friendly, and high chairs were available after a phone reservation. The pizza was delicious, but nothing exceptional – but the view of Hopfensee and the mountains beyond was absolutely extraordinary! We would definitely come back for dinner.

The atmosphere here is very nice, but you have to be careful of fraudulent billing. I paid with a credit card, and Jan, the waiter, said he'd added drinks to my bill that I hadn't had. I thought he was a very attentive waiter, but the next day I realized I'd paid for my meal twice. But the man didn't realize I lived here, so I personally collected the money. I mean, it was awful.

The pizza is truly delicious—great dough, good ingredients, and just the right amount of flavor. It's also really convenient for takeout: It's quick and tastes like it's fresh out of the oven. Friendly service, I'll be back!

Beautiful terrace with a view of the lake. We went for pizza. The pizzas were delicious and very large. The price/performance ratio was okay.

We had a salad with turkey strips. For €21, you'd expect the salad to be fresh and not past its prime. Some of the leaves were very old and unappetizing around the edges. The dressing was tasty, but unfortunately there was far too little. I've had better mixed salads. Upon request, we were given bread, which we were then charged €3.50 per person. A small bottle of Coke Zero cost €5.60. We found that quite steep.

The food was truly excellent, both the pizza and the risotto à la Milanese with beef, very, very tasty. Sitting on the terrace is truly beautiful, with a view of the lake. In the evenings and in summer, you should definitely make a reservation to get a good seat, and it can take a few minutes longer to be served. I'd also like to use this review as an opportunity to remind some guests how to behave in a restaurant. Our "overly exclusive" noisy neighbors, who were banging on the mozzarella with a knife and complained about it beforehand (later to the waitress as well) without even having tasted it, and who talked loudly the whole time and complained without any consideration for other guests, were the only irritating thing, something the restaurant can't be blamed for. So maybe we should just behave normally and not always stand out, and dress appropriately in a restaurant, if we're going to make such demands. We were thoroughly satisfied, though. The ice cream to go afterward was also very tasty.

Yesterday pizza – today steak. If this keeps up, we'll just move in! 😄 The pizza was so good we briefly considered marrying it. Today, the steak – tender, juicy, and so well-seasoned that our taste buds gave it a standing ovation. The service? Friendly, fast, and with a smile that was more contagious than our hunger. Bottom line: We're full, happy, and will be back – probably tomorrow 😉

The restaurant is beautifully situated on Lake Hopfen. The view is amazing. Unfortunately, it's difficult for older people with walking frames to get a seat. There's a slope in the middle, but it's so steep that you can't climb it. You have to take the other path to the right. Now you face a new problem: the terrace and the restaurant are so narrow that you can't get through with a walking frame. The service was good, and the food was also good.

we ordered a salad and seafood pizza. the salad was with fruits, greens, goat cheese and fried turkey fillets. there wasn't much dressing. i saw it coating one of the lettuce leaf so I barely tasted it. sparse goat cheese. quantity of the salad was okay. price does not match quality (€22.9). the pizza (marechiaro) had a very good pizza dough. crunchy and tasty but the filling is also sparse. the squid was rubbery . a few shrimps but the garlic taste was there. quality also does not match the price (€23.30) theres a pay parking across and a beautiful view of the lake.

We didn't eat anything, but we had a great time and enjoyed the view. It's very busy, but there's plenty of space.

I spent the last evening of my vacation there and had a delicious meal. The visit was spontaneous due to the good weather. I had free choice of seating on the terrace; there were still plenty of unreserved spots available. It started to get busier around 7 p.m. The outdoor seating is lovely, just across the lakeside road from the lake. Unlike some neighboring restaurants, you can enjoy an unobstructed view of Lake Hopfensee. The awnings provide plenty of shade and sun, and since there's always a gentle breeze on the lake, it's never too stuffy on the terrace. The pizza Margherita tasted great, and the Aperol Spritz was very well mixed (definitely with a good shot of Aperol 😊). The service was attentive and friendly. All in all, it was a successful evening.

What a fantastic view. The elevated terrace is a lovely place to sit. The pizza is good. The truffle burger, however, isn't recommended. It's a cheap frozen patty, and even the truffle cream doesn't help. Very friendly and fast.

I can't comment on the food; we only had coffee and a milkshake. I had an espresso, which didn't taste good. I thought it was incredibly cheeky that I had to pay €1.50 just because I asked for a slightly larger glass of water with my espresso... I can understand that they charge for tap water when someone goes out to eat and only drinks tap water. However, if I drink an espresso, I always get a small glass of water with it. If it's a bit larger, I've never experienced anyone charging for it... The shakes were good.

I was there today. I drank a cappuccino and ate a piece of apple pie, which was delicious. Since I still had time, I ordered another Coke (I stupidly didn't ask for a menu). Then I paid. I asked for the bill. When I looked at it, I almost lost my faith. €5.60 for a 0.33 l Coca-Cola!!!!! That's truly extortionate, almost outrageous! I'll always ask for the menu from now on, even if I know what I want to order.

As soon as I entered, I had the feeling that everything was just right: the atmosphere, the orderliness, the friendly atmosphere – you immediately sense that people work here with heart and soul. The employees are attentive, helpful, and genuinely friendly, without seeming fake. You feel welcome, taken seriously, and simply in good hands. It's rare to experience such a pleasant mix of professionalism and genuine warmth. The cleanliness on site was also impeccable. Everything seemed well-maintained, well-organized, and designed with attention to detail. You can tell that someone has put a lot of thought into this – not just the outward appearance, but also the well-being of visitors and customers. What particularly impressed me was the relaxed atmosphere: no stress, no noise, simply a place where you enjoy spending time. It's often the little things that make the difference – and there were plenty of them here. I will definitely come back and can truly recommend it to anyone looking for quality, friendliness, and a positive experience. There should be more places like this!

Unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience at the Eiskaffee Riviera at Hopfensee in Füssen. Although the restaurant wasn't crowded and the waitress obviously noticed us, we were completely ignored. Instead of serving us, the waitress seemed to care more about clearing the neighboring tables. After more than ten minutes of waiting, without any attention, we finally got up and left. It is unfortunate that in some restaurants, including apparently Eiskaffee Riviera, guests come but are not served. In view of the catering industry complaining about declining visitor numbers, a better service orientation could be urgently needed.

We had ordered 4 iced coffees, unfortunately the coffee was poor, probably cooled down with a lot of ice cubes and therefore very, very thin. After we complained, we were answered very unfriendly, that's just the way it is, there was no discount or replacement for the iced coffee that had been returned, we still had to pay for everything

Iced coffee and iced chocolate are served in plastic cups. Straws are plastic (banned since July 2021) Vanilla ice cream was just frozen water. Price totally overpriced. Quality very bad.

I was there yesterday with my husband. The Caprese appetizer was far too expensive and there was very little topping. The pizza was dry with little topping and far too expensive. The grilled salmon with spinach didn't meet the specifications; the creamed spinach was mixed with potatoes. The tiramisu wasn't fresh in my opinion. We had a hard time with this meal the entire evening. At €120, it was outrageously expensive for this quality.

Nice atmosphere with a great view of the lake. We had pizza once. That's fine. But I've also eaten better ones. And once we had Aglio et Olio. I haven't eaten anything like that yet. The spaghetti was swimming in a sauce that tasted like Maggie. A small mini piece of garlic and a slice of chili were floating around in it. It didn't even smell like garlic at all. At around 15 EUR I just don't think that's right. I'm not floury and it's the first time I said to a waitress it didn't taste good. Given the prices, I also expect corresponding quality, which is not delivered here. They apologized, gave us an espresso, but charged the full amount. Dear chef, please take a look online to find out how to cook this simple dish correctly.

The ambience in the winter garden was very pleasant in the evening... until it got more crowded around 7 p.m. and the children who brought along had fun at the birthday party. Service very good, just in line with the price range. food ok; Carpaccio was cut a little too thick, spagetti "Pavarotti" was very good, tiramisu unfortunately was the now very common "cream heap" (most "Italians" have probably forgotten that basically only mascarpone, biscuits, espresso, amaretto and cocoa belong in it). Wine and water very good.
