Super courteous service, great ambience and the best pizza ever 👍🏼! 5 stars from the bottom of my heart ⭐️!

Prices are rather high in comparison!

Ambiance is outstandingly beautiful, modern and stylish with a view of the Hopfensee - selection of dishes adapted to this and very appealing. Unfortunately, I didn't get the quality I expected for the price, and to top it all off, essential ingredients were missing - such mistakes can happen, but if this is only succinctly dismissed after a friendly complaint, then the price-performance ratio is no longer right for me. Too bad!

We got a very good window seat, very nice and elegant ambience. The food arrived within 8 minutes. It tasted ok. We give 3 stars, but wouldn't come here again.

The food was good. Unfortunately, the service was a bit overwhelmed and the waiting time for the pizzas was very long.

So we were really thrilled, the food was great and the service was really top notch!!! The food for our daughter was brought immediately so that she could eat first and was satisfied 👌🏻 And the whole atmosphere was just super cozy, we didn't want to get up anymore 😂 Keep it up and we'll definitely be back.

A Christmas Eve that you couldn't wish for more beautiful! Friendly, young people took great care of our wishes and beautifully arranged dishes came out of the kitchen quickly. Every single course was like an extra Christmas present. I'm still dreaming about this chestnut cream soup as a starter! The ambience in the restaurant was festive, pleasant music played in the background, not too loudly, and the entire restaurant was immersed in a pleasant atmosphere. This evening couldn't have been nicer for my son and I and will be remembered for a long time. Thank you for that! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I just ate the most expensive lasagna of my life, €19.50! But unfortunately not the best. I don't understand the price, the view back and forth, and especially not to go.

Yesterday we had a great evening with you to celebrate a birthday with a large group. All pizzas were excellent and left us completely satisfied - really great pizzas! Other dishes such as the meat and the schnitzel were also very well received. The absolute highlight was the antipasti platter, which offered an impressive variety: from sausage and salami to dried tomatoes, vegetables, salad and cheeses to olives and fruit - a really fantastic starter! Only the bread as a side dish could have been better, but upon request it was immediately added. The drinks menu offers a large selection and left nothing to be desired. The shot on the house was also a very nice gesture – thank you very much for that! We would particularly like to highlight our waiter, who was extremely efficient, attentive, professional and friendly. He took excellent care of us and provided great service. The ambience was also wonderful - inviting, cozy and particularly atmospheric with the Christmas decorations. We felt completely comfortable and had an unforgettable evening. You made our birthday party something very special. Thank you for that!

Great food... Large portions... Friendly staff... Great view...

I have visited the Riviera restaurant several times and have always been very satisfied (ambience, cuisine, very professional and friendly service). There is a seasonal menu, recommendations and a regular menu. Especially when the weather is nice or in the evening, you have a fantastic view of Lake Hopfensee with its beautiful Alpine panorama. In the high season when the weather is nice it can rarely get a bit hectic, but I think that can be forgiven. Don't forget to tip the service staff appropriately as they ultimately make a living from it. A recommendation from me: a glass of water and red wine, a small mixed salad, a saffron risotto with strips of beef fillet and, at the end, an espresso with perhaps a small dessert.

I've been going to this restaurant at the same time of year for years and have never had anything to complain about. The service is great, the food is delicious and the prices are completely reasonable for the location, the view and the restaurant. After all, the operator has to earn something from it and his employees also want to make a living. I like coming here.

Water 0.75l 7.80 euros, espresso macchiato 4.20 euros...in my opinion, a rip-off

We were in the café and enjoyed the beautiful day! We ordered two cappuccinos and a cheesecake! Cappuccino missed the point because it was a coffee with a lot of milk foam, but had no relative to a cappuccino. The cake was good. For this we paid the royal Hopfensee price of €17 - respect!!! You can do it, but only once, because it doesn't work.

The gastronomy was all very nice, but unfortunately I can't write a good review. At first they were ignored for a quarter of an hour, then we got the ice cream menu ourselves. When we were able to order, one dish was missing. It's a shame because the ice cream wasn't bad.

Worst cappuccino I've ever had. Even returned the first one. There is no espresso, just milk. They must be trying to save money. Unfortunately when you have a great location, quality doesn't matter but I didn't expect something this bad.

Apart from the good location, this pizzaria is not recommended. Ordered to take away. Arrived 10 minutes before the agreed time. Pizza went like this. Not fully baked when cold and carelessly topped. I've eaten much better food. Ordered a small portion of gnocchi in advance from the cellar. No problem. When I picked it up it was said that there are no small portions here. I think 17.80 euros to take away is considerably excessive. There's nothing special about the taste. Unfriendly staff.

We have been guests at the Riviera during our camping holidays for many years! We didn't feel any deterioration in quality last night! It is normal for prices to rise here too. Just under €60 for two, two pizzas, a rocket salad, a glass of red wine, two wheat and a water is ok for us! We'll be back!👍👍👍

The pizza was very good, yes... The staff was rather unfriendly and awesome...very tough for families with children (desirable?) or non-alcoholics...a 0.3 liter Spezi 4.90 euros or 0.33 Liter of Cola 5.50 euros...absolutely cheeky, I haven't even experienced it in more classy places..

At the Riviera, Michele. The only Italian element present, it makes a good and light pizza. The rest is average with prices well above average. Elegant venue

A very good restaurant that also fulfills special wishes. You've been eating 3 to 4 times a year for about 8 years. The staff is simply great, very personable and accommodating. We just drive about 40 minutes there because there isn't a better restaurant nearby for us.

Very cozy restaurant with excellent food. The service, however, was mediocre. We arrived at 8:30 p.m. (warm food until 10 p.m., supposedly open until 11 p.m.) and then ordered food and a bottle of wine (for two). Exactly 1 hour later the waiter came and asked kindly if he could collect money. So far ok, we didn't want anything more than just drink our wine comfortably. Sure, we had been the only guests for a few seconds, but two glasses were still almost full. 5 minutes later he calls through the bar “we want to finish work early today, right?”. Unfortunately, I had already given a tip at that point... What a complete impudence, especially considering the prices.

The pizzas are great, just like in Italy itself and the other food was all good and tasty. We were there several times, already on our second holiday in Hopfen, and were satisfied every time, including with the service. Only the prices are actually a bit too high, despite the lake view. This is particularly true for the wines (0.2 > 8 EUR!!).

I always enjoyed coming here, good food and very friendly service. But unfortunately that's a thing of the past - the prices are definitely no longer justified and then at 1/4 to 10 (!!) in the evening you are very harshly expelled from the restaurant - that's not possible! Too bad, no more option for me 😞

The restaurant is located directly on the lake, just separated from the street. We had a nice view of the lake. The waitresses are very friendly and make sure you don't miss anything. We had spaghetti primavera and linguini with prawns. Everything was very tasty. The tiramisu for dessert was the crowning glory.

Large restaurant with 2 spacious conservatories overlooking the Hopfensee. Cozy furnishings. Friendly staff and our dog was Welcome. Great if you are on holiday with your dog. Food is very tasty, and the wine was excellent. The pizzas are generously topped, wonderfully seasoned and the base is thin and crispy. The saffron risotto with meat was delicious.

We had spaghetti fino & Argentinian fillet steak and were very impressed with the food. Very nice location with sunset enjoyed, the food was a 10/10 according to our taste. Of course you pay above average here but for the price we have eaten worse elsewhere. The only thing to complain about is that the service unfortunately took a long time to do everything in the restaurant, which was hardly full. We'll be back 👍🏼

The ambience with a view of the lake is very nice, but: Prices for food and drink are absolutely overpriced (cappuccino €5.10) Service poor for the prices quoted Quality of the food slightly above average. Conclusion: Once and not again!!!

Unfriendly waiter. Prices, even if at Hopfensee, are completely overpriced and outrageous. In my opinion, it beats the price level of many restaurants in Munich, which is saying something😄 Pizza was mediocre and between a whopping 15 and 17 euros, I've never seen the most expensive pizza on the menu at 22 euros. Choose another restaurant on the promenade, my personal recommendation.

We have been coming at least once a year for 10 years now. Food is always great... The service was friendlier before, it could be improved again ;) As always, the atmosphere is great and relaxed...

Everything is fine, the “Diavolo” could use a little more pep!

We've been coming here for years, and since last year we've noticed that the quality of the food has decreased significantly, but the prices have increased. Even though the view of the lake is beautiful and the staff friendly, we decided not to go there anymore. After all, we want to eat well and are willing to pay a reasonable price for it, but unfortunately that is no longer the case.

Quick and tasty - I just took a pizza to go, it was ready within 10 minutes and we liked it. The atmosphere/decoration style is very similar to the typical restaurants on the Adriatic, the lake view obviously helps. I would definitely get pizza here again.

Clear winner by location. Food was ok but not a highlight. The same applies to the service. The price is high according to the location.

We ordered a pizza caprese, with tomatoes, mozzarella and rocket. When the pizza came there was no arugula on the pizza but iceberg lettuce because they ran out of arugula. The tomatoes weren't cherry tomatoes but large slices of tomatoes carelessly placed on the pizza. Otherwise the pizza was very dry and the cheese was way too salty, not recommended. We told the waitress that we wanted a reduced price for the pizza since it had nothing to do with a Caprese pizza. When she came back she just said “the boss said it was fine” and we didn’t get an apology or anything like that. At the end she was annoyed with us because we wanted to pay separately and not together.

Normally we have always had very good experiences with the restaurant. The view and the ambience are wonderful and very beautiful. This pizzeria was always our number one stop, especially when the weather was good or in the cold winter months. Unfortunately, I can no longer talk about these positive experiences. The service staff is bored, demotivated and not customer oriented at all. There was no need to ask whether the food was good, whether more drinks were wanted or if there were any other requests. The table was not dried before the visit, even though it rained during the visit - two of our guests sat in the rain and we didn't complain about this either, as we had always had such wonderful experiences. The pizzas were not fully baked, which was acceptable to us at the time, but not adequate considering the prices charged. As we were clearing the plates, we pointed this out in a friendly manner, as the waitress finally asked us if everything had been okay. When we pointed out that we are usually very satisfied with every visit and that it was ok for us, unfortunately this time the pizzas were just not completely baked - the service staff seemed surprised - but accepted the feedback with a neutral and distant attitude. We were then charged by the owner of the restaurant - as it turns out afterwards - but he also didn't inquire again. For us, the situation seemed like accepted feedback that we were happy to receive. Unfortunately there was a wasp trap next to the table, which attracted the wasps more than any food or drinks at the table. Basically, we think this is very forward-looking on the part of the restaurant and a good idea. However, a young family refused the table because the wasps were too numerous and very aggressive due to the trap. After the payment process, we pointed out to the restaurant staff that they should please point out the location of the wasp trap when allocating a seat, as it was an unacceptable situation for children or allergy sufferers. We left the restaurant in a good mood and looked forward to another visit in the near future. However, in front of the assembled customers, the owner loudly shouted at us and asked us what right we had to complain about things in his restaurant. He sees no reason to inform guests about the wasp traps they have set up and he doesn't care whether this is unpleasant or even dangerous for guests. Rather, 'we should just see how we get along without it next time, because it doesn't matter to us'. In addition, the accusation was made that we were trying to get 'food for free' - although so far we have enjoyed visiting the restaurant very often and in large groups and have also left with a lot of tips. Regardless of the restaurant owner's lack of ability to take criticism and the lack of competence of the service staff that evening, the tone was unreasonable and an own goal to admit to the customer base present there, as the restaurant owner's demeanor was intimidating and disrespectful. Kind advice and requested feedback were seen as a personal attack, and a friendly and respectful tone was responded to in a condescending, disrespectful and embarrassing manner. From now on it is no longer worth a visit for us under the existing owner and cannot be recommended to anyone.

The worst service I have ever experienced! Only 15 minutes were completely ignored by 4 waiters with around 10 occupied tables. Ordering took forever and everything came individually. Eating together is impossible. I can't understand why it takes 30 minutes to make tiramisu. Nothing was cleared the whole time, so the table was completely covered in rubbish. We waited 25 minutes for the bill. The prices are trying to make you think of them as noble Italians. But the food is just average and the service doesn't match it at all... Just keep going, there are better things!

One of the best pizzerias we have ever visited. Pasta dishes, pizza and salads are simply excellent. In terms of taste and appearance. The view and the location directly on the lake, as well as the taste experience, are appropriate for the higher prices.

Pizzeria with a large selection of pizza, pasta and more (my insider tip: antipasti). The location is a dream, directly overlooking the Hopfensee, from which we are only a small street away. The best thing: for people who want to take a pizza with them to the lake, there are special boxes next to the city trash cans for disposing of empty pizza boxes. Environmentally friendly thought!

Over 10 euros for two sodas (0.3l) to go. Way too expensive.

We didn't really feel welcome as a family. After the cards were "thrown" onto the table while chewing gum, we exercised our patience to order something. We managed to do this after asking twice. The food came very quickly and was good/sufficient. We asked for the bill and were allowed to pay for the service, ambience and experience with the waiter who was still standing next to us smacking his lips. Otherwise there was only a good or very attentive waiter who was not responsible for us that afternoon because he was serving another part of the terrace. We hope that Niko's colleagues don't take too great an example.

Food is quite good, but service still has a lot of room for improvement. Children's chair was only brought after we asked twice and the restaurant wasn't really full. The original Italian restaurant has more child-friendly service. A pity.

Expensive food of poor quality, but small portions. We were there for dinner in the evening. The view of the lake is of course very beautiful, but it doesn't excuse everything. I'm not a gourmet, but I can tell the difference between warmed scrambled eggs and spaghetti and a carbonara. The other dishes were also served incredibly quickly. The criticism of the food was reflected in the service. The head of the house came into play when paying. He had an incredibly arrogant demeanor. If you feel angry after eating, you can just throw the money in the bin.

If you want to have front-row dining at the lake, you obviously have to forego professional people and good service. And enjoy overpriced food with a lake view. We were just disappointed and reported this, but no one was really interested. If I forget the table reservation, it's clear that I won't be able to remember who ordered what. And no Italian flair. The food is good, but also extremely overpriced. Tiramisu for 12€? Honest? Nevertheless, the shop is busy and if you drive a Porsche, maybe you would like to eat like that?

If you like having discussions with the restaurant manager, this is the right place for you. When asked how two strings get into pizza dough, the explanation was that it came from mushrooms tied together. Since I had never seen it like that before, but didn't ask and apparently looked slightly surprised, the explanation was that you could google it and it certainly wasn't his hair. After the pizza was manually freed from the approximately 25 cm long (second) thread by the speaking restaurant manager, a new pizza was offered, but no word of apology, however expected, followed. I commented that the behavior was rather unseemly for a host in such a restaurant and, by the way, mushroom, tied and thread did not lead to any search results for me at first. But he could read later how he behaved. He then threw his name tag on the table. Still hoping to be able to eat, I asked the unreasonable restaurant manager to “go off,” which was certainly not polite, but was due to the situation. We were then thankfully directed away from the restaurant after we had made several previous visits. Now every potential guest can get an idea.

The worst pizza I've had in a restaurant in a long time! On May 11, 2024 we received 4 pizzas on a ready-made dough base.

We ate ice cream and drank a milkshake here today. Ice cream was ok, the strawberry milkshake was without strawberry ice cream and that for €6.50 An ice cream sundae with 3 scoops of ice cream and a little sauce costs €10.10. Proud prices.
