Ristorante Pizzeria LAGUNA in Salem

Unfortunately, the tiramisu and panna cotta were very bad. Pizza only with Edam cheese, with mozzarella available for an additional charge! The children's spaghetti with Bolognese was very salty.

Like the Italian restaurant, we didn't enjoy it. The staff was friendly, but we didn't think it was good value for money.

We dined at Ristorante Pizzeria Laguna in Salem with four adults and three children. Upon entering the restaurant, we were met with extremely critical eyes from all the waiters; instead of a friendly welcome, we received disparaging glances and a palpable sense of disapproval. The rest of the service was also consistently unfriendly. The service was delivered with rolling eyes and a palpable reluctance, as if we weren't welcome. Our order was complete, but the entire experience was unpleasant. When we wanted to pay, I pulled out my debit card. The waiter already had the card reader in his hand, the amount had been entered, and suddenly he said, "Card payments aren't actually accepted today." This seemed very implausible to me. I could have paid in cash, but I wanted to pay by card. So I paid in cash. When I commented on this, the tone became even more unfriendly. I deliberately didn't leave a tip, which resulted in the change being practically "slapped" into my hand. The waiter's aggressive reaction was completely uncalled for and reinforced the already negative impression. Conclusion: This was our first and definitely our last visit. Guests who are treated like this should consider another restaurant. Friendliness and hospitality look different.

Very tasty pizza, as well as other excellent Italian dishes. A cozy, modern atmosphere. Friendly service and a child-friendly atmosphere. A terrace with a beautiful view of the castle lake. Unfortunately, parking in the underground garage is subject to a fee.

So the ambiance inside is nice, but sorry, the terrace is not at all inviting. Decorating it a bit with lights or palm trees or something else would be nice, and a decent roof would be nice.

After we sat down outside, the waiter greeted us with a sharp, "Have you ordered yet?" When I said no, our menus were slammed down on the table. We left immediately, as this kind of behavior was completely inappropriate.

I would like to rate the waiter who served us. Such disrespectful treatment of customers! I have never felt so badly treated in a restaurant! I was there with a friend and he was really disrespectful to me. He took my friend's menu from the table. Mine was in front of me and he opened his hand so that I could put the card in his hand. Whenever I wanted to order something, he answered strangely. At the end he asked whether we should order together or separately. I then said separately. He then said, "I was just asking." Afterwards he said to my friend that he had worked at Lamm Markdorf for 5 years. I was there on May 22nd, 2025 from around 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. You wonder how you can employ people like that! If you're going to hire people, then look into the kind of work they do!

We tried three different flavors of ice cream. Congratulations: this was the worst-tasting ice cream we've had this year. The price of €1.80 for a mini scoop is also outrageous. You can get better and cheaper ice cream right on Lake Constance. The service is very unfriendly. They don't even speak a word to the customers.

So you can totally forget about this shed! I ordered a latte macchiato with cinnamon flavor and a plum cake, what arrived was a macchiato without cinnamon and a cake from the day before where the cut was already completely yellow. When I asked the arrogant waiter about the macchiato that there was no cinnamon in it, he didn't want to believe me, then ran away snidely, got a small jug of syrup and poured it into my macchiato, which I couldn't drink afterwards because it was too sweet and I still didn't like the cinnamon! When you thanked the waiter there was no request and nothing, as if the guests were "dogs"!! So sorry, such an arrogant manner in service is an absolute no-go and he didn't even have a reason to do it because it wasn't beautiful! Absolutely not recommended!!!!

I don't want to criticize the quality of the food at all, just the manner and tone of the service staff at the ice cream counter. As a family we bought 8 scoops of ice cream for €14.40. Since the window at the counter was only half open, accepting it was very difficult. Then my wife had a mishap and she lost the €20 bill when it was handed over between the counter and the ice cream display case. When my wife asked if he could get the €20 out later, the answer was an “ice cold” NO. And then came what I, as a trained master chef, would never have expected: The employee's answer: that doesn't work and it's not his problem, that's €14.40. When asked that there was now €20 behind the display case, he was again told “it’s not his problem”. So we paid €34.40 for 8 scoops of ice cream. For me it's not about the money but about the principle and the arrogance of the employee. No customer (ever) deserves to be treated like this. That kind of thing is disrespectful. Above all, I found the unwillingness to find a solution really disrespectful. Above all, it is not difficult to open the display case from below because at some point it will have to be cleaned because every machine has installation compartments in the base. Ambience great. Unfortunately, the staff didn't… Colleagues often stand around and rarely come to the table without being asked. Orders are recorded incorrectly. We've been there several times and it happens again and again. It's a shame, it really has potential!

Tested again.☺️ Very nice staff, fast and reliable. I had a shrimp skewer with fried potatoes and squid rings which was very tasty and a small side salad. Just right for a light lunch. Highly recommended.

The selection at lunch is okay, something for everyone and still cheap with a good salad. My family loves going there and always receives friendly service.

Despite there being a lot of people in the summer, the staff number is very nice and it goes quite quickly. The pizzas are super tasty and large. I particularly like the fried calamari, not just rings but the really nice fresh calamari. Price performance is also totally right and there is probably nothing to say about the ambience. The lake in front of your nose... 😍 I always enjoy coming there when I visit my grandparents.

Unfortunately it was very loud and there were dogs in the restaurant that were constantly barking without anyone doing anything about the noise. You couldn't have a good conversation.

The atmosphere is beautiful with a beautiful view of the lake, the food is nothing special but the service was really disappointing, I don't recommend it.

We went to the pizzeria twice. Pizza was very good, service was subpar. On both visits we didn't get what we ordered and even had to pay for the reorder that wasn't on the pizza. The waiter was more than unfriendly. There will be no further visit.

It took forever before we could order drinks and food; the bald gentleman always seems to be trying to avoid his customers until it is no longer possible to do otherwise. However, the food came quickly, to its credit. However, something else is delicious. The garlic oil that my husband ordered with his meal was still not there even after he finished his pizza. Something also went wrong at the next table. Salt and pepper with food would also have been beneficial. If only the bill had come promptly after we had already tried to draw attention to ourselves a few times. However, the waiter was once again nowhere to be found, and his colleagues didn't seem to be particularly interested in us either. Conclusion: you don't need to come here for the food, there is much better, the quality of the service definitely has room for improvement. What is positive is the great location with a view of the lake, disappointing that the rest was nothing. In any case, we won't be coming anymore, thanks but no thanks.

I ordered 3 pizzas to take away. Everything went great on the phone. When I arrived there after 15 minutes, everything was ready (12 noon). My colleagues served me nicely and were friendly. Pizzas had great toppings, were cut and tasted very good.

We are often at the Laguna, the staff is a disaster, they don't need to be friendly, there are several waiters walking around haphazardly on the terrace, we sit for half an hour, everyone says they are not responsible We then left. The food isn't bad, but it's not so good that it justifies the bad behavior of the staff I was there last time.

Because of the partly bad reviews, I started the visit with reservations. But everything is great. I can't understand how the sometimes very bad reviews came about.

I have ordered pizza to be picked up on site several times. Every time was an experience. Either you had to wait a very long time to place your order or you had to wait a very long time with the pizza in your hand to be allowed to pay. My highlight was when I had to wait 15 minutes to order and 20 minutes to pick up or pay. I then politely asked if I could let the pizza go for another lap to warm it up again. The reaction was that they used their unwashed finger to determine the temperature of my pizza and said it was warm enough to eat. We also tested the ice cream. I would recommend using the counter at Edeka Baur where it's cheaper and much tastier and you don't have to wait 10 minutes with two children for a waitress to go behind the counter. Some customers left here because of the long waiting times

That was definitely the last time I'll go there. Were there for lunch. Were one of the first guests. Extremely unfriendly service. After receiving the food and taking the first bite, we let the food go back as the noodles were cold. New food came - I also had to send it back because it was cold again. Third meal was cold again and we wanted to order pizza instead, as they are probably not able to serve pasta hot or warm. The food came back to us with the note “the boss tried it, it’s okay”… “No way!!!” I’ve never let anything go back, but that really borders on impudence and ignorance. I'll never leave a cent here again. It's better to walk 200 meters further, there is delicious food and good service. The Laguna has nothing to offer other than the view.

Very very bad service. Arrogant and lazy. We left the terrace because no one cared about us. After 10 minutes we still hadn't been able to place an order. The waiters were leaning against the house and talking.

Unfortunately the salad had brown spots in it and wasn't particularly tasty. The toilets were underground, no toilet paper, stuffy, dirty. Smeared doorknob. Disgusting. There was rubbish next to our table on the lawn. But pizza was ok and service too. But wouldn't go again.

We had dinner there yesterday before the PUR concert. We had a calzone and risotto with mushrooms and chicken and a mixed salad. Everything was really delicious and I have rarely eaten such a fine risotto. Price-performance top.

Eat fries/sausage, child only fries (as is the case with children). It was fine. Service was very condescending. There were no small fries, only for children, we weren't allowed to order them. So we took fries with sausage and shared them. It was a very hot day. We sat outside with our grandson. Our grandson didn't finish all of his fries, but everyone stared at us and I had the feeling "I never want to go there again." This behavior of the lady could also be observed at other tables. We were looked at as if we could only afford food once. But if we had ordered twice and didn't make it, it wouldn't have been right either. I'm really angry about this kind of behavior. Anyone who reads my reviews knows that I am NOT a complainer. So, it may be the case that not all employees behave like this, I can only write for our waitress. I won't go there again. Nevertheless, all the best from the pizzeria.

We don't live far away and have eaten at Laguna several times now. We think it's very nice there, you can sit very nicely inside and it's also very pleasant outside on nice days. The service has been very nice so far and there is nothing wrong with the food, we like it very, very well 👍, we will continue to go there, already on Sunday with my girls 😀

Given this beautiful location, I would have liked better food and friendly service. Both were missing here. The food was so-so, the service, an unkempt gentleman with a bald head, preferred to stand in the far corner and smoke rather than serve guests. Even with a 30% tip, because they complied with my wishes and only put a small amount on the plate, there wasn't even a thank you. Nobody needs it.

A very nicely located restaurant on the Schlosssee in Salem. You feel comfortable here both inside and on the terrace. I was there twice and had excellent food.

Yes, you can do it, but you don't have to. The highlight is the location right on the lake with a great terrace and a beautiful view of the lake. Food is nothing special, just average. My carpaccio was tasteless and ice cold, I suspect thawed. The pizzas are sparsely topped and the toppings have little taste. The current seasonal dishes were probably delicious.

I have never experienced such bad service. We politely asked for a children's chair and the waiter (bald man) pointed at the children's chair with his eyebrows. Which we should get ourselves?! No interest, on the contrary, the food was thrown in front of you. You felt completely unwelcome and uncomfortable. Never again !

HORRIBLE - I'm not sure if I've ever had such bad food in a restaurant. The food is anything than authentic Italian. The soup had a weird consistency and no taste. The pasta was overcooked and clumped together. The pasta sauce was mostly cream and tasteless. We ordered a salad and got the wrong lettuce. Nobody said anything. We returned the food - no questions asked. They new very well that something is wrong. We said something when we paid and we got offered coffee or desert as compensation. Never again! Don't go there!

There is a fat bald man who has had zero decency and no upbringing. I don't understand how such an unkempt guy can work in service. The guy is extremely unsympathetic, unfunny and dubious at the same time. Because of this, the place seems pretty nice except for this guy who has no idea what “customer is king” means. Hopefully you'll lose your job the way you treat customers

On the positive side, the pizza was good and the atmosphere was really nice. But that was it... Our service was anything but professional. Friendliness and responding to customer requests - none. We had 2 children with us. Our wish for the two children to have half a pizza with salami and the other as a margarita could not/did not come true (of course we would have been happy to pay for the full salami pizza). But if you look at it like that, that was the last time, oh yes, the fact that we were of course able to give 0 tips for this service is hopefully understandable!
