Ristorante Pizzeria Garda in Berlin

We were guests as part of a BPA trip. I liked the ambience and the friendly welcome. Unfortunately, the food didn't convince me because it didn't suit my taste. There was penne in a bland vegetable sauce. All the meat eaters in the group were hoping for a nice bolognese or lasagne and were bitterly disappointed. The dessert wasn't any better either. A scoop of vanilla ice cream without anything, served in a cheap plastic cup. Sorry Team Garda, unfortunately that was nothing. The stars are for the still very nice service.

Cozy in the wintertime inside, good outdoor atmosphere in the summer - perfect for an aperol spritz and some good authentic Italian food

Difficult path, great restaurant! We were very surprised to spontaneously get a table. The pizza was incredibly tasty and very classic. You would have loved to eat more of them. Really highly recommended! The service was very present, you could have passed on your concerns directly. The only unfortunate thing is the way there. As a village tramp, the city is already "exciting" but we initially went up and down the street several times because we couldn't find the entrance to the inner courtyard. Unfortunately, Google Maps didn't even begin to help us except for the tram stop. Ultimately we had to call the restaurant again and ask for directions because an oncoming police officer didn't want to answer our stupid question. The gentleman from the restaurant explained it to us very well, we finally arrived and were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere around the restaurant. Everything is very comfortable, from now on you know where to go

Das Garda ist ein kleines, eher familiäres Restaurant, tatsächlich ist die Lage in den Heckmannhöfen ausgesprochen nett. Essen und Service waren gut, aber nicht herausragend. Mittlerweile haben die Preise in Berlin Mitte ganz schön angezogen, sind hier gerade noch okay.

The two of us spontaneously got a table. We were greeted and served in a very nice and friendly manner. The pizzas were delicious, the dough was nice and fluffy and the base was tender. Plus the location in the backyard. We felt very comfortable!

The pizza was very tasty and the service was super good. There is a nice atmosphere. You can even order a cappuccino here after 10:00.

If you don't have a reservation, you'll end up standing there waiting for a while. Yes ok pizza was very tasty. But the lasagne is more for those with a small appetite. You won't get full.

Located by the river in Mitte, Berlin. The ambiance is nice, the service staff is friendly. We only found the dough of the pizza we ate to be thick.

A little gem in an unlikely place. Very good down-to-earth Italian food at fair prices, warm service and professional management. Even as a group (we had reserved for 16 people) we received the entire à la carte selection without any problems, which is not a given. Gluten-free was also possible. Plus the cozy location in the Heckmann-Höfe. We'll be back...

Came here for dinner, super fast service and great food. The bruschetta was delicious, Mozzarella very fresh but the pasta & pizza capped this off. Really puffy crust + generous portion

Italian food, not outstanding, they charged me €3.50 for a glass of ordinary tap water. His explanations were inappropriate, it seemed very bad to me, it seemed like theft.

We ordered two lasagne. The first one was hot at the beginning and shortly afterwards completely cold as if frozen. The other lasagne was completely cold. It tasted worse than frozen lasagna. We both felt sick afterwards. 1 time and never again.

We really liked the pizza, especially the dough was very tasty. The Lassange was also good, but as is often the case in a restaurant, it was very well cooked. Tiramisu is always good, but we missed the taste of coffee. The service was really good and, despite the store being full, quite quick and attentive. It's a shame that it's so cool outside in the evening, because it looks very cozy there.

Summary: I am torn between 3 and 4 stars opting for the 3 as the dishes were generally good but there was an element lacking in every dish; I would actually go again for a fairly price easy and child friendly dinner with very friendly service and beautiful seating outside in the courtyard Best dish (- negative / = ok / + positive): = pizza with salsiccia and porcini: delicious taste, but the pizza was not crunchy and a bit soggy and that’s a key reason to eat pizza out and not at home because it always arrives soggy; I assume the likely frozen porcini mushrooms lost too much water - a small issue easily ameliorated Dishes: = spaghetti with porcini and shrimps: ok taste but not well-seasoned so I had to add salt; quality of porcini mushrooms again mediocre, there are better frozen options available, the same goes for the quality of the small shrimp - salad: the sauce is not good but not bad, but definitely too sweet and the presentation is not appealing to the eye with the brown sauce and the silly “decoration” with crema di aceto di Balsamico, I think it just looks cheap Service: + very friendly and fast and attentive - great job! Price: + fair price for value Atmosphere: + beautiful outside seating in a traditional Berlin Innenhof (interior courtyard) + very child friendly: your kids can run around in the courtyard while your eating

Complete jerk. Noooooooot do it

There was spontaneously a place for two outside on Saturday evening. Nice, quiet atmosphere. Polite, courteous and quick service. The food didn't take long to arrive. Sufficient, tasty portions, typically Italian delicious and the aperitif as it should be. Due to the central tourist area, we had a nice American conversation with the nearby table next door  There is no doubt that a reservation is guaranteed. We recommend the restaurant and will come back!

Outstanding pizza and beautiful spot

It's generally nice on the terrace. The chairs don't have any cushions and so it's not quite as comfortable. The service is good, waiters often ask if everything is okay. The food is good, the pizza dough is very fluffy. The salad was impressed by its taste and less by its appearance. Basically there was nothing to complain about. Certainly a down-to-earth option for those not looking for culinary experimentation. Personally, I wouldn't go again, it didn't blow me away. For the price, the noodles were very close to home cooked.

Super delicious thin pizza with crispy edges and fresh sausage and forest mushrooms, and and and. Hidden in a Berlin passage. Staff super friendly and a nice terrace.

Danger! Unfriendly and disrespectful waiters! After making a reservation, we were in the restaurant as a couple with our 20-month-old child! We hadn't been sitting there for 2 minutes when the waiter greeted us unfriendly and shook his head because our daughter had moved a piece of cutlery at the table opposite us! When we then asked for a high chair, the response was unfriendly. The high chair was brought to us and then we were lectured in public by this extremely unfriendly waiter in his mid-50s about how we should treat a child, with a statement like: it hurts my heart to see how you treat your child! At this point we had only been in the restaurant for 3-4 minutes and so we can also say as parents that we don't like it when strangers who still have to earn a living by working as waiters interfere with our upbringing Interfere with your child! We then got up and left! I have a management position at a bank in Berlin and we have often had our meetings in this restaurant, which we will definitely not do again and we are also annoyed by the rude behavior of the waiters (we noticed this again and again during our visits to this restaurant ) communicate that it's better not to go there! It's an outrage to behave like this!

Salami pizza and negronis were very very gooood

We enjoyed wonderful Italian food (Pizza Margharita, Penne Amatriciana, Tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms...). Nice service. And the restaurant with the sun coming in looked like a small village in Italy. We were all enchanted by this oasis.

I can highly recommend this restaurant. The green inner courtyard is an oasis of calm to linger. The food, service and ambience are very great and inviting. We would love to come back. If you are visiting in the evenings with more than 2 people, I would recommend making a reservation.

Very rude staff. For some reason, they do not allow to order just drinks, because “we are a restaurant”. Go somewhere else

Amazing! The hospitality and service were just wonderful. While the place was crowded and full, I asked for a table for one. Within a few minutes, they brought a table from somewhere, a chair and a menu, and created an extra spot just for me. It was perfect to dine there in the pretty garden and the food was delicious. Very thankful for the staff and their hospitality!

Unfortunately I cannot confirm the 4.6 stars (August 24): buffalo mozzarella was good - cherry tomatoes were quite tasteless. The spaghetti with scampi also had very little taste and the penne amatriciana needed more pecorino. The food was ok. up to good - but unfortunately not 4.6. The biggest point of criticism, however, was the wine: at €9 per glass, the price-performance ratio is far too bad even for Berlin. It's nice to sit outside and the service was (typically Italian, one might say) distant and friendly.

Hidden in the Heckmann-Höfe, but surprisingly well attended. Reservation makes sense. Attentive service. A bit restless outside due to the passing traffic and the court theater. Food and drinks are okay in terms of price, although rather touristy.

My friend and I are both very fond of this 🇮🇹Italian restaurant. We particularly enjoy their pizza🍕 with bacon and chanterelle mushrooms(PIZZA MIT SPECK UND PFIFFERLINGEN), as well as the 🥂Frizzantino, a delightful sweet wine. Each visit is consistently enjoyable.

Pizzeria in a cool interior patio in the Jewish quarter of Berlin, the pizzas and pasta are very good. The bad thing is the wasps on the terrace.

It may be okay by German standards, but for any Mediterranean the quality is mediocre. Also they made a mistake when charging us because they didn't know which table we were at and they put borders on it. Very expensive for what it is.

Actually, I was just walking through the courtyard when what was on the other guests' tables laughed at me. And then I ate the best bruschetta of my life here! Absolutely recommended.

A pity! For many years I have enjoyed coming here for the food and the atmosphere. I always put up with the arrogance and unfriendliness of some waiters, especially since there were welcome exceptions. Unfortunately this time it was too much for me. M Koch described this aptly in his/her review. Without a friendly atmosphere it's not for me. Good (Italian) food in a nice atmosphere can also be found elsewhere in Mitte. Anyone who is a little more “thick-skinned” will definitely have a good time here. For me it was the last time.

We ate here after the backyard tour. The food tasted very good and the service was excellent. Above all, the atmosphere here is very quiet, which is always nice to see in such a big city.

The Italian restaurant in the inner courtyard of the Heckmann Höfen convinced me. The pizza, a mix of Neapolitan style and stone oven baking, was really tasty - the dough was just right and the ingredients were fresh. The service was also very pleasant and attentive. It's worth a visit if you want to enjoy good pizza in a relaxed atmosphere.

Rarely have we had such a good pizza. Since we took a short trip to Berlin and it was so good, we went back the next day. Fresh pasta with truffles is a dream. Starters and dessert are also great. Friendly staff and very attentive. We will definitely come back again

During our vacation in Berlin we came across this small, beautiful Italian restaurant by chance. Very idyllically located in a backyard alley, you can sit like you're on vacation, either inside or outside. The food and service are also top notch. Super fresh and high quality products, superbly prepared and at an absolutely fair price. We stayed 2 days in a row and will definitely come back when we are back in Berlin.

Unfortunately not convinced. “Homemade” gnocchi tasted like soft German potato dumplings and didn’t go well with the sauce. Campari Spritz was water with Campari. The limoncello for €4.50 is out of proportion. Service was polite but annoyed.

Pretty basic Napolitan-style pizza. Salami was not Italian but some local substitute wurst-like and ham was not real prosciutto. Nice atmosphere and service.

De plek was heel leuk en het eten opzich wel prima. Heb alleen nog nooit zo ongeïnteresseerd en asociaal personeel gezien. Toen ik ging afrekenen stonden er twee dames voor mij die eerst wilden betalen en hoorde de ober meerdere keren vragen of ze niet wat meer fooi wilden geven. Toen mocht ik gaan betalen en had ik wat fooi gegeven (wat ze eigenlijk al helemaal niet verdiend hadden) maar er kwam totaal geen dankjewel vanaf en toen ik ze verder een fijne avond wenste kreeg ik alleen maar een chagrijnige blik terug.

Highly recommended spaghetti alioli e olio. Courteous, relaxed and friendly service. Extremely tasty with lots of garlic and olive oil, very good to eat. Priced completely reasonable €€

Quiet Italian restaurant with a very nice atmosphere in the Heckmannhöfen. A little off the beaten track. The food is even better for that. For example, I had the best Margherita pizza here in a long time.
