A gem in Mittenwald!! Angelo and his wife are quintessential Italian innkeepers who delight in entertaining and pampering their guests...with sensationally good food and warm service. We were there two days in a row because both the pizzas and pasta were sensationally good...and the pasta is truly cooked "al dente"! Thank you both for two wonderful evenings! If we're ever in Mittenwald again, we'll be back immediately!

Our pickup order was handled very friendly and courteously. After a bit of small talk, we were given a precise time when we could pick up the food. We were delighted with the quality of both pizzas and the pasta dish. The restaurant is somewhat tucked away on a side street, but this also means that it has a quiet terrace where you can definitely linger.

Four of us were there, and the food was good. The waitress was alone and immediately informed us that it might take a while. We found that very attentive and courteous. This allowed us to prepare ourselves and weren't at all annoyed that the food did take a while. I would recommend making a reservation, as there aren't many tables, especially if you want to sit outside. Card payments are accepted, but there's a €1 fee.

Pasta with salmon and zucchini 😋😋

We were there for the first time today, and we really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is very special...we had pasta and salad. The pasta was very well-seasoned, hot, and plentiful. The salad was delicious; it didn't need any additional seasoning. We accompanied it with delicious wine and finished it off with an excellent espresso. We'll definitely be back.

I'm back again, and why? Because the food is freshly cooked here. You won't find anything else like that in Mittenwald. Absolutely outstanding!

A small, unassuming restaurant in the Grieß district of Mittenwald. The food was excellent. Everything was cooked with love and freshly prepared, so it takes a little longer, but it's worth the wait. We'd be happy to come back and highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you for the delicious food.

Horrible experience. We went to eat there and we entered the restaurant. Waitress started immediately yelling that we can't stay inside, but outside, where was super hot and noisy. At first, her behaviour was horrible ,there are many other ways to say something to guests. Second, why should not we be allowed to have lunch inside...

Definitely recommended. The dishes were delicious, nicely presented, and without any frills. The restaurant has a rustic, authentic Italian decor. If you're looking for warm, welcoming hospitality, this is the place to be.

"La Sicilia" is a small Italian family restaurant run with passion. He's the chef, she takes care of the service—this creates a personal, family-friendly atmosphere. We were particularly impressed by the pizza: The dough is perfectly cooked—the crust is crispy, the base is thin, but not too thin—and the ratio of dough to topping is both balanced and flavorful. Every ingredient is well-balanced. The dining room is rather small, but all the more cozy for that. There are also some outdoor seating areas where you can enjoy your meal in the fresh air when the weather is nice—but without any frills, making it all the more honest and down-to-earth. "La Sicilia"—a highly recommended place for Italian cuisine. A small family business with great taste. A full 5 out of 5 stars! 🌟

All I wanted to do that evening was drink some good wine. I discovered a piece of Italy in the heart of Mittenwald 😎 Not only did I drink good wine, but I also ate excellent pasta and met the people who run the restaurant with love. We ordered 3 pizzas to take away. We were promised 30 minutes. Unfortunately, we only received the pizzas after 50 minutes, even though the restaurant wasn't even half full. The pizza itself is reasonably priced. 3 pizzas cost us €28. Unfortunately the 3 pizzas were dripping with fat and were heavily salted. Taste wise they were OK. The hygienic conditions shocked me a bit. Used glasses are left at the counter. Garbage, medicine and personal items are piled up in one place. Items. In the kitchen the pans have piled up under the extractor hood - so they must be full of fat... The restaurant is not barrier-free! The friendliness of the staff was also limited.

We were there and wanted to eat. There were two seats left outside and the whole store inside. There were two of us and we asked where we could sit down. She said all tables were occupied. When I then said there were still tables available, the answer was: “It is my house right where I want to work, whether inside or outside and who I want to serve”. She didn't want to serve us. Very unfriendly. If every guest is so welcome then hallelujah!

My review was deleted because I allegedly used an illegal word. I'm reposting my review without this word so that potential guests know what they might expect: Rarely have we experienced such sloppy service - we just wanted to reserve a table for Tuesday this week and the only answer we received from the owner who was serving was: NO! When asked why, she said extremely flippantly: Because then I have the day off! Thank you, not like that. Anyone who runs a business should have a minimum level of friendliness. This lady should urgently book a course: How am I just being friendly! Even if there are opening times on a board in front of the door, you can still answer our question politely and offer an alternative day. Unfortunately, other guests here also rated similar things about the unfriendly owner, so we have to look back Don't be upset about not having reserved a table. A few meters away in another Italian restaurant, the owner knows how to be friendly and I'd rather leave my money there than here!

Auf die Frage warum kam die schnippische Antwort, weil ich dann frei habe! Daraufhin haben wir bedient und für immer diese unfreundliche Lokalität verlassen.

The food was great, the atmosphere was cozy, no mass processing

I can't say anything about the food. Unfortunately, the service is incredibly unfriendly, so we won't be visiting this restaurant again. When we arrived a table became available and we asked the waiter if we could sit at the table there. We were only answered harshly with “patience and time”. We already saw that the 5-6 outside tables were occupied, but these people had either already eaten there or were just eating, so we asked to what extent this statement was meant, since our actual question was not answered. We were also answered even more succinctly with “just as I meant, patience and time and nothing is going quickly for me today”. Of course, as in other restaurants, we would wait for our food, but one could answer our question as to what extent she meant this statement in a much friendlier way and give us an approximate time or be able to answer our question first as to whether the table was free or not is still reserved.

The girl who took care of us was very unpleasant. We went there with the intention of having dinner and after seeing his attitude we left without asking for anything.

Really great restaurant. He cooks, she does the service and you can tell that everything is done with heart. We had the sea bass, the rabbit and the pasta with basil pesto. As a starter (really big!) there was salmon and beef carpaccio and crab salad. Everything tasted really good, homemade. Service is very warm. Simply beautiful, we would love to come back. Definitely a great Italian in Mittenwald, you should avoid the shops in the center and stop here!

Great pizzeria right in Mittenwald. On the day of our arrival we had reserved a table there, but unfortunately we found that we couldn't keep to the 6.30 p.m. time. A quick call and the owner told us that it wouldn't be a problem, we just shouldn't stress about it - the table was waiting for us. We've never experienced anything like this before. When we finally got there we were warmly welcomed and everything was to our complete satisfaction. Thumbs up 👍. We can highly recommend this place to everyone.

Since we were turned away in the most unfriendly and dismissive way, I can't comment on the food, which I'm very happy about in retrospect. After we sat down at one of the many unoccupied tables outside and no service appeared after a long wait, I decided to ask inside whether it was okay to order outside. I wouldn't have had a problem with a friendly negative, but to have a harsh "NO" slapped in my face without eye contact and while I'm outside and getting on my bike, the lovely waitress provocatively slams the reservation boards onto the approximately 8 free tables, it makes you feel like you are an inferior person. Especially when you drive past this location an hour later and exactly one table is occupied. Why is someone so mean and disgusting? I can imagine, dear landlady, that your job is tiring and very stressful, but I just asked nicely and then I don't want to be treated like that. But as I said, in retrospect I'm very glad I didn't leave a cent in their store. LG

The food was very good, service was also great, unfortunately the ambience seems very cold and doesn't invite you to linger, I can't say whether there is a dessert, it wouldn't be offered and there was nothing on the menu, so there was only one main course, unfortunately, that but it was very good.

Small restaurant, a bit untidy inside and the tables are quite close together. That would certainly be more comfortable. The selection of food is varied, the dishes we ordered tasted okay (pizza and pasta). But it really took ages for the food to arrive (over 40 minutes after ordering).

Despite pre-ordering, we had to wait another 10 minutes on site. At the bar it looks like a junk room, which is unfortunately not very inviting. The pizzas are a decent size, but the taste is rather average. Unfortunately, they weren't cut either, which made it difficult to eat them on the go.

Very nice service who gave us good advice. The waiting time for our pizzas was a little longer because they were completely freshly prepared. The wait was worth it: the pizzas were delicious, crispy, fluffy and juicy, topped with fresh ingredients and 32 cm in size! If you can't manage your pizza, you can get the rest wrapped up to take away. We felt completely comfortable.

We had the intention of going out for a nice Italian meal again. So we passed this restaurant. From the outside it looked quite nice. We were greeted friendly. We were offered a seat by the window. There was a plastic tablecloth on the table. The dishes we chose were spaghetti and a tagliatelle dish. Plus a red wine. The waitress couldn't really give us a wine recommendation. The food could have used a little more spice. Our wine was good. I had finished eating, my wife was still eating. Nevertheless, the waitress already cleared my plate from the table. I think that doesn't work at all. The dining room didn't really look nice. The flies were very annoying. We'll eat somewhere else next time.

Das Lokal ist sehr klein mitten im Dorf und man kann es auch gut übersehen. Dirnen ist es demensprechend auch sehr klein aber zudem auch noch sehr überlanden mit verschiedenem Kram der eigentlich in einem Restaurant nichts zu suchen hat, wiederum von dem italienischen Flair fehlt es in der Gaststätte. Die Wirtin sehr nett aber man merkt es sofort, dass sie keine Ausbildung hat und auch nicht wirklich weiss sie sich zu geben hat. Das Essen war wiederum traumhaft und sehr schmackhaft, die Portionen auch sehr passend und nicht zu klein.

Nettes Restaurant, freundliche Bedienung und super Essen. Wir hatten 1 Pizza und 1 Salatteller.

Waren gestern zu viert dort essen. Die Wartezeit lohnt sich, der Chef kocht alleine. Super leckere Pizzen, alle reichlich belegt und sehr nett von der Chefin serviert. Absolut empfehlenswert, möglichst mit Tischreservierung.

Leider fühlte ich mich hier überhaupt nicht willkommen, es wurde direkt darauf hingewiesen, dass ich nichts zu Essen bestellen könnte weil mein Tisch in 20 Minuten reserviert sei (ich wollte lediglich ein Getränk zu mir nehmen). Mit wurde dann „erlaubt“ mich an einen anderen Tisch zu setzen. Leider fehlt es hier an Herzlichkeit, vielleicht weil man als Alleinreisender nicht genügend Umsatz generiert.

Das Essen in diesem Restaurant ist wirklich sehr lecker. Alles frisch zubereitet und die Wartezeit lohnt sich auf jeden fall :) kann ich nur empfehlen ! Danke für den schönen Abend.

Super leckerer Italiener. Sowohl Pizza als auch Pasta ist wirklich empfehlenswert und sehr frisch zubereitet. Da das Restaurant nur einen Koch und eine Kellnerin hat, gibt es keine großen Kapazitäten. Zudem sind oft Tische reserviert, am besten also vorher anrufen oder vorbeilaufen und persönlich einen Tisch reservieren, um auf Nummer sicher zu gehen. Die Location ist in Ordnung, jedoch fehlt etwas Italien-Flair. Nebenan ist ein typisch bayrisches Restaurant, welches ab und zu Livemusik hat. Das kann dann je nach Auftritt mehr oder weniger passend sein.

Stay away from this restaurant. We went there (September 2, 2023, 19:30) and asked if it was possible for two people to have dinner, there were just a few tables occupied outside and inside all the tables were unoccupied. "NEIN!" was the short answer we got. And that was it, she walked away after this response. I have never been treated in such a rude way before.

Het eten is geweldig. Echt Italiaans en met lekkere wijnen op het menu. Het duurt alleen heel erg lang voordat je je bestelling krijgt. Oorzaak: personeelsgebrek. Maar 1,5 uur wachten op een voorgerecht was wel wat veel. Jammer want het eten is prima.

Tolles Essen, ordentliche Portionen. Hatte 1×Pizza Frutti di Mare, 1× Spaghetti Bolognese. Kann nur empfehlen!! Allerdings eine Sache muss ich bemängeln: es wurde 1-, Euro für die Zahlung mit der EC Karte extra berechnet!! Darüber wurde ich nicht informiert!!

Frisch zubereitete Pizza und Pasta. Hier wird mit Liebe in der Küche gearbeitet. Man hat ein bisschen das Gefühl in Italien zu sein. Schon lange nicht mehr so leckere Pizza bekommen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir sind großer Fan von La Sicilian und wenn man mal warten muss dann ist’s halt so 😉 Es wird immer frisch gekocht und egal was wir bestellt haben wir waren immer sehr zufrieden 🥳 Unsere Kinder lieben den Chefkoch und würden am liebsten jeden Tag dort essen.

Wirklich sehr sehr leckeres Essen. Die Bruschetta waren genial und der Rest auch einfach lecker und für die Umgebung preislich wirklich sehr in Ordnung. Ich würde immer wieder hingehen und es jedem empfehlen!

Wir haben lange nicht so gute Pizza gegessen!!!! Teig war aber echt sehr sehr gut!!! Besitzer war sehr freundlich und war sehr nette Atmosphäre!!! Immer wieder gerne!!!

Wir waren letzte Woche 3 x dort essen und es war jedesmal richtig gut. Service ist auch sehr nett und die Weinempfehlung war sehr gut. Freuen uns auf das nächste Mal Bis August ihr Lieben.

Zufällig dieses Restaurant ausgewählt und wir sind wirklich begeistert! Die Gerichte sind wirklich hochwertig und man schmeckt deutlich, dass alles frisch zubereitet wird. Nehmt euch die Zeit und genießt das Qualitative Essen. Die Inhaberin war auch super freundlich und zuvorkommend.
